Private/Closed Captured by the Evil Team 3: Rescue

"Are you crying?!"
"It was beautiful!"

The crowd clapped and cheered loudly. They had been completely taken by Jodi's performance. There was no complaint against her basically.

"What a great performance! Just when you think the winner of this talent show was a clear one, Jodi comes and sweeps us of our feet!"
"Aw man, now I want to adopt her! Can I keep her?"
Laughter. "Hell no, you silly Billy! Now say goodbye to Jodi... And we will announce the winner, after these few commercials."

Ron nodded. "They all did great. Now, I just need to figure out where they are. Meanwhile, everyone get ready to head. We're moving."

Below stage, Renz had listened carefully to what he could hear of his friends’ performances. From what he heard, it sounded like they did well, and he was glad of it. He still felt like something bad was going to happen, though. As each of his friends was brought back down he gave a small wave and mumbled some encouraging words.

***************

Marigold nodded at Ron, waiting for him to give the plan of attack. She very much wanted to know how they could possibly track down the others. Could they possibly track the broadcast? Or would they just check each town and eliminate places as they went? Suddenly, an idea struck her.

"Ron, if there are that many people there, they'd have to have plenty of room and lots of resources, right? So maybe we should look for places that could hold that many people!"

Ron nodded. "Good observation. If we check the different theaters of Sinnoh and compare similarities to the stage we just saw, we could find out which one it is or if they are using something else. It's a good start. But for now, we need to move."

Blueton and Bob stood in front of the stage, both with big smiles on their faces. "Now we are ready to announce the winner." Bob said.
"Yes, it was a difficult decision, between them but we can only have one winner." Blueton looked at Bob.
"That's right my blueberry brother. Now, what are they gonna win? Well that's easy. The winner will get to avoid being punished by us AND they choose who gets punished."
"Whaaaaaat?!" Blueton sarcastically said.
"That's right my blue demon, they get immunity and rain down judgement on the loser!" Bob laughed.
"Well bring them out!"

Under the stage, a group of grunts had placed a straight jacket on Gaeboo and covered his mouth. They gathered everyone and took them on to the stage, the crowd cheering as they walked on stage. They made them line up in the order they presented, facing the audience. Maker had placed a smile on her face, looking as normal as possible.

Blueton had an envelope in his hand. "Ladies and gentlemen..."
Bob smiled. "The winner of the SSMR talent show..."
Drumroll.
Blueton opened the envelope. "Is... I can't believe it!"
Bob read the envelope and gasped. "Well I kinda predectied it."
Blueton nodded. "Yes, the winner is... Jodi!"

The audience cheered for when they heard the winner. Blueton signaled for her to stand next to him and had her face the others. "Now Jodi, you're safe from us for the time being. But, you have to choose, who lost. So, look at your friends and tell us, who should be punished?"

Jodi was surprised that so many people were impressed by her singing, even Bluton and Bob, the one who doesn't rhyme. She smiled and curtsied as she was lowered back to the waiting room. She quickly went and sat down, getting a bright smile as she passed Michael. Then, just after a few minutes, Bluton and Bob called them up to announce the winner. When they got back on the stage, she stood next to Michael, a calm look on her face, while he was smiling. They didn't know if being the winner was a good thing, but they kinda wanted to win, because NOTHING IS GREATER THAN SUCCES!!!
...
The winner is... Jodi!
...
...
...
"What?" Jodi asked, her eyes wide with surprise. Even after Bluton signal to come next to him, she just stood there... processing. Michael rolled his eyes with a smile and gave her a little push so she can realize that she had to move. After that, he eagerly clapped for her. She looked around, amazed by this unexpected turn of events.
She listened closely to what Bluton had to say, and all of the excitement turned into fear. She had to choose one of her friends, or Gaeboo, to be punished. "I..." She looked at all her friends, one by one. She looked up at Bluton. "Um, is it mandatory that I choose someone...?"

?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

Alejandro got up, but then the transmission came back on. He listened to it for one minute, and the eyes went wide.
"Oh no, did you hear that?" He adressed the group. "They crowned Jodi the winner and now their making her choose someone to get punished!"

Bluton looked at Bob and back at Jodi. "Um, well yeah." He laughed. "That's the idea."

Ron listened with his arms closed. "Walk and listen, we need to move." He got his backpack on and picked up Nana, who snuggled against his him. "Let's go."
Ron began leading the group through the forest. He was seriously worried, there had been no information on Azumi and it wasn't like her to disappear for so long. He feared something bad had happened. He took out his black pokegear and sent a message. "Time to call in favors." He said as he continued to walk.

Eli looked at Jodi, at first a bit surprised, but not much, he wondered who she would choose, thinking it would probably be Gabeoo, but could not be certain.

Lily followed, listening as best she could “Who are you calling in here?”

Meanwhile, Adolph had broken down and was crying in the corner of his cell, crying out the name of his beloved Blitz, as there was nothing he wanted more at the moment than to be able to snuggle close to her and be reminded why he continues... Both Katyusha and Vypyskha looked towards his cell and sighed, wishing they could do something to help comfort him, but as they were in separate cells, they were pretty much forced to simply listen to him and feel bad for him. However, Lewis, the strange mutant Human with a Leafeon tail glared towards Adolph's cell, and sighed angrily, but didn't say anything.

Gaeboo was never a fan of big, fancy shows, and especially being forced to do something. When Jodi was announced as the winner, he was sure that he would be picked, since everyone hated him, but he supposed she was too sweet for that kind of choice. While up on stage, he worked on getting the dang thing off his mouth. There was no way that he was going to let this happen. He licked, bit, chewed, didn't matter to him, long as he could speak. When (and if) he finally got his mouth free, he looked up to their not so courteous hosts, and spoke to them.

"Screw the rules, don't make the girl pick. Take me instead. Everyone else would've done it anyways."

Fleur quickly ran back to the upstairs bedroom to change into proper clothes. Just her standard outfit, then she ran back out to catch up. Thank goodness for those three cups of coffee. When she saw the black Pokegear, she took the opportunity to try and call Nat again. She was getting extremely desperate at this point, she needed to talk with her wife and kids.

"I think we broke her." Bluton said.
"Yeah. Oh well! Why don't you choose? Gabriel is volunteering." Bob replied.
Blueton shook his head. "Nah, someone new. I'm getting bored of Gabriel, it's not fun if they like it. What abouy Michael?"

Maker laughed, which caught the attention of both boogers and the admins. "Really? You guys are so lame. 'Hey let's torture someone so we can feel superiors to them, since we're too stupid to train our own Pokemon or socialize'." Maker made a fake voice.

Bob laughed, trying to hide his anger. "Maker, what are you doing? Want me to smack you like Gabriel here?"

Maker rolled her eyes. "Yeah, probably won't feel a thing. Gaeboo is actually a man, unlike you losers. Can you guys even talk to girls without having to torture them? I mean how pathetic are you all really? Seriously, I've seen toddlers training Pokemon while you grown ass men can't even decide which personality yours. I doesn't matter how much you torture us, you will always be a bunch of losers who enjoy picking on others to fill in that pathetic ego. Because let's be honest... You're all a bunch of trash with different hair colors, but underneath you're all the same shi-" Maker was cut off as the electricity ran through her body. She fell to her knees screaming.

Bob, without letting go of the bottom, began talking loud so he could be heard above Maker's noise. "We have a volunteer! Thank you all for your participation! Leave now or join her! Toodles!"

The SSMR guards came and took them away, one by one. While Bob and Blueton played with the button to electrocute Maker. Once they brought everyone in, they were scanned to check if they brought something they shouldn't have. Of course, they didn't release Gaeboo until it was safe to. But before they were locked in their apartment, two guards threw inside one more prisoner. Adolph.
"Y'all got a new cellmate." The guard said before locking them in.

Maker sat in a dark room that had a big glass window in the front. There was a change of clothes in front of her. There was still vapor coming from her body and she would twitch.
"Once you're ready, change clothes. Time to teach you how to behave." A voice was heard.

A guard look over the scan , finding a piece of paper on him, looking up at him "Hand over the paper!" Eli slowly took it out "Can I keep it, something to spruce up the apartment, memories as they say" He looked at the picture, scowling at Eli "After what you did on stage? definitely not!" he put it in his pocket as he waved him on. Eli walked into the room and sighed "Everyone ok?"

"Some friends who owe me a favor." Ron replied. He heard the screams of his sister, but refused to watch. She just needed to stay alive while he arrived.
Ron lead the group through the forest. Keeping close to the main roads but avoiding being seen by any SSMR members. He would ocasionally send a message in his black pokegear and then continue. This kept going until they reached what looked like a cabin.
The cabin was clearly empty and seemed to have been left behind. Ron flipped over a rock and grabbed a key. He opened the door and let everyone in. Nana, who was riding Ty, quickly looked for a television, but there wasn't one. Once inside Ron pulled the electric switch and the lights went on. On the table was an envelope. Ron opened it and smiled. "Alright everyone. We got a location. The kitchen and bathroom work. So prepare some food, take a shower, then we will discuss the plan and move out at midnight."

As Adolph rejoins the others, he seemed to have some... Rather strong opinions on his captors, and as they turned to leave him, he scowled angrily and decided to curse at them in a language they likely wouldn't understand. "Verdammtes Arschloch! Du wirst dafür bezahlen!" He yelled angrily, his reddish purple eyes briefly changing to a scarlet red, but if they decided not to engage him and leave him in his cell, he slumped on the floor and fell on his knees, his eyes fading back to their normal purple colouring. He sighed, and looked back at the others, giving a sad smile, as his eyes seemed to go blank for a few seconds, as if he was somewhere else entirely, and when they came back into focus, a strange, spinning blue disk and some odd blue symbols appeared in between the coloured part and the whites of his eyes. "Hello... I see you lot are here as well... There goes my hope of rescue..." He replied sadly, sighing unhappily. "If only my cybernetic implants acted as something more than a wireless digital link and neural booster..." He continued, his eyes fading in colour slightly, and the 'overlay' in his eyes turned green, while the rest seemed to fade to a sad, deep blue.

Renz agreed with Maker, but she seemed to have taken it too far. He started to step forward when she got shocked, thinking he might be able to help, but some grunts took him by the arms and began leading him back to the rooms where they had started their mornings. He didn't dare to resist. He knew how much the shocks hurt, and he didn't want to risk getting the same treatment as Maker. He felt very bad for her, but there want anything he could do but hope she ended up okay. He was sitting hunched over on the couch, thinking and staring at the floor when someone was brought in. Or he thought the man was new. Then he recognized Adolphian. He didn't react, however, more than a nod. He didn't feel up to anything more. He just wanted to collapse.

***************

Marigold followed along with Ron and the others until they reached the cabin. As soon as they were inside, she let out her Pokemon. She gave them some attention, which she needed much more than they did. She kept trying to coax Tuck out to meet the others, but he hid in a corner. Lil' John wandered around at random, occasionally shadowboxing and showing off, and Robin stayed with Marigold. Ty was a bit tired, since it was hard enough to walk and even more difficult when Nana rode on his back, even though she was pretty light. He curled up in a corner and began trying to sleep.

Jodi looked surprised at Gaeboo. She couldn't believe he just volunteered to get electrocuted. She froze, she didn't know what to do. Luckily, Bluton and Bob said that they'll choose. But after she thought about it, that wasn't much better.
What about Michael?
Jodi's eyes widened and Michael instinctively took a step back. But then, Maker started mocking the boogers out of the blue. Okay, it wasn't out of the blue, they had it coming. But what was more surprising and terrifying la that they electrocuted her after. Michael slowly backed away, hands covering his mouth, as Maker screamed in agony. He wanted to help, but his survival instincts wouldn't let him. Jodi gasped, tears filling her eyes.
"N-No! Maker!" She was going to say something, but the guards escorted them back before she could do something.
They got back to the apartment and sat on the couch. Michael bit his lip, shaking, as Jodi was trying her best to hold her tears back. Then, the guards threw someone new in. Adolph.
Jodi was, in a word, furious.
"It wasn't enough that they want to torture us, they had to bring this psychopath, too!" Jodi told Michael, a little louder than a whisper. A tear of anger mixed with sadness fell down her left cheek. Michael just sat there, staring at Adolph with a suspicious expression.

Alejandro followed the others to some sort of cabin. He kept quiet the whole way there, since he didn't know these people well enough. Actually he found this whole thing pretty weird. This Ron guy gathered people who were connected to Michael, Jodi and their friends, and now he's leading them to some a cabin in the forest. He didn't think he would murder them, but it was still a little weird. They didn't even get the chance to play Never Have I Ever in a comfortable café! But he stopped thinking about it and entered the cabin. As everyone began doing their own thing, he just... leaned againts a wall. Best way to wait for time to pass by.

Maker was on the floor curled up and soaking wet in the corner of the room. She was now wearing a gray sweater and sweatpants, but bare foot.
"Had enough? We can't have that little fire of yours still alive inside." Blueton said as he stood by the door, he was holding a fireman type of hose.
Maker didn't reply. She hadn't spoken since they took her there. She didn't when they made her change in front of the giant window or when they electrocuted her, trying to make her screams sound like a song or while they shot cold water at her until she couldn't stand.
"Well, I'll take that as a yes." Blueton dropped the hose. "Next time, just be a good girl and follow our instructions okay?" He walked over to her, pulled her hair so she would face him, then gently tapped the side of her face with his palm. "We wouldn't want to ruin this pretty face, now would we? You can go back with your friends now."
He walked out and two guards walked in. They picked up Maker and dragged her away.

Ron set some groceries down. "Okay we got Coffee, some tea, cereal, oat meal and some canned fruits and meats. You're all welcome to it. Also..." He set a bag down. "Potions and full heals. Don't get greedy, they're for everyone."

Eli sat down after no answer, he went from quiet to concerned, and no one really cared, though he guessed he could see why "Well, Im fine if that counts" Eli gave a weak smile "Thanks Halt, I feel better already"

Lily walked into the cabin and looked around, she released her pokemon and picked up a bit to eat, and two potions and a full heal, placing them in her bag. She went to take a shower.

As Jodi noticed him and called him a Psychopath, Adolph looked her in the eye and his eyes glowed an even deeper blue than before, with minor flecks of red. "Well, I beg your pardon? I am not a Psychopath... I was simply going through a rough time in my life, okay? We all suffer at some point, it effects everyone differently..." He sighed, his voice having the lack of substance of one who has lost all hope in the world. At least he seemed to look somewhat decent, as he maintained his appearance at the very least, showing he had a small amount of pride left. It was only natural, being a high admin for NovaCorp, after all. Soon after, he ended up collapsing on the floor, waiting for the others to notice him, as his eyes went blank again, but the digital(?) circles and symbols were still moving and pulsating. However, while his eyes went blank, he seemed to be able to speak, as he spoke with a far off, distant voice, seeming as if his mind wasn't focused on what was around him. "I... I'm sorry for what I've done to you guys... You don't deserve the suffering I caused you... That's why I tried to participate in a raid in order to help free the innocent trainers here, to at least redeem myself... But... We failed... Our group was separated, and while the leaders, the three other Phoenixes and I, ended up getting captured with the assumption that our Pokémon would be enough to combat the SSMR... The others are somewhere else, likely- OWW, GODDAMN IT, ARCEUS, WHY!?" His distant, far off look essentially seemed to fade in an instant and came back into focus, his eyes flashing red with his enhancements turning to a triangle of yellow, as he clutched his head, seemingly in agony. "Oh god... Oww… Make that two other Phoenixes... I... I've lost a neural link with Lewis... Our link didn't do much, but... At least it let us know how the other three are doing... Based on the feeling of losing Lewis' link and having something torn from my mind... He... Might be dead..." He replied sadly, and seemed to be holding back tears, as while he only knew Lewis for a few months when he joined NanoCorp hoping to liberate Sinnoh, they ended up getting very close, and were essentially like brothers, even if Lewis pretended not to care about Adolph.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Phoenix' cells, five minutes prior.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

While Adolph was locked in his cell, it seemed that both Katyusha and Vypyskha were yelling at Lewis to live and avoid death, after he continuously mentioned wanting to trigger the kill switch in his implants, which would have ended up frying his brain. While it was impossible to know what was going through his brain, at least he died quickly, and with a jolt of energy frying his brain and rendering his neural system useless, he collapsed onto the floor. Katyusha seemed to end up breaking down in tears, from having to witness the death of her friend, and collapsed onto her knees, the lovely girl both suffering from the severed connection and the pain of losing someone close... Vypyskha herself seemed to be suffering, but stayed silent as she ended up putting on a mask of cold lack of emotion, and stared at the wall as if her cold glare was enough to break her free.

Kathren stood on the stage and waited for Jodi to choose someone. She internally groaned when she asked her stupid question, knowing that she should've clearly chosen Geaboo. Then the chaos broke out with Geaboo sacrificing himself, the Boogers claiming Michael, then Maker stepping in, ending with the Boogers taking her. Kathren watched all this unfurl in complete silence. Best not to draw any attention to herself. Redton warned her about the cost of losing. She walked back to the apartment in complete silence, not wanting to cause anything, and passed though inspection without any alarms. She sat down next to Renz. She returned to her unresponsive state, her shell when things were getting bad. Maker, someone who played by the rules since she came here spoke out only once and was punished. She didn't dare to think what could happen to her. She hardly noticed when Adolph was thrown in. And when he started shouting, she huhsed him so then they wouldn't get into trouble, if they were to get into trouble from making loud noises.
***
Rachel sighed as she followed the group. Why were they waiting on looking for where the location of the base was when they could just search! Also, the no Pokemon out thing really irritated her. She loved to carry Soul around! And she doubted that someone that wore adorable clothing and wore their hair up would be found suspicious if they were carrying an adorable Pokemon. She entered the building with them and took two full restores and four potions. Not that she would use them. She sorta didn't battle. At all. But it didn't hurt to be prepared.

Renz slowly leaned back. He tried to shut the noise out. He wanted to shut everything out, but his mind was still functioning, telling him over and over again the sheer hopelessness of their situation, and that he was doomed to be humiliated like this until who knows when. He reached out one arm. He knew Kathren was there, and he needed someone he could lean on. The arm slowly wrapped around until it was a side-hug sort of thing. He closed his eyes and breathed. At least she was here. At least he knew that she and the rest of his friends were in it together, and he knew at least part of what they were going through. It was better than sitting alone, torturing himself over what might be happening to them and fearing that the guards might not be exaggerating when they told him things.

***************

Marigold sat down and looked at the others. She was getting bored of no-one talking to one another. They were a team, and they needed to cooperate with each other. She decided to use a game her old soccer coach had used to break the ice. She stood up and addressed the group.

"Alright. It's time for an icebreaker, everyone! So, I have never: been to Alola, been on TV, or been the captain of a sport team?"

Make stepped in, shivering of cold. The guards laughed as they closed the door behind her. The first thing she noticed as the new arrival, Adolph. She looked at him, the fire in her eyes gone. She blinked twice and looked around, everyone was in a terrible mood. She thought back at the torture she just went through, she didn't want anyone else to suffer, even Gaeboo and Adolph. What would Azumi do? Well, she would have gotten everyone to safety even before getting them captured. She would've busted them out already. She always knew what to do. Maker's eyes got watery as she thought about her sister. Azumi wouldn't cry. The first thing Azumi would do, would be to keep everyone calm. Then she would analyze everything everything, actions, words, enviroment. Next a solution and finally make sure everyone follows through.
Maker just stood there as her mind processed her thoughts. Then, for a second, she seemed alive again. "Game." She said softly. "A game. We need to entertain them. Let's plan a game." She grabbed Adolph by his shirt and dragged to the others. "Truth or Dare. We're playing truth or dare." She walked over to Gaeboo, about to grab his hand, but flinched. "Gaeboo..." She said in a low voice. "Can you please join us so we can avoid more trouble? Besides I enjoy your company." As she spoke she looked at him, as if trying to convince him of something.

--------------

"I haven't done any of those." Ron said. "I don't understand the game."
Nana teleported by, she heard the word game. She looked at Marigold and giggled. Games made her laugh.
Ron sighed. "Save it for the trip, I'm interested in playing it." He said with a smile. "Now, I hope you guys like Harthome city. At the pace we're going, we should be there in a few days. As long as we keep track of the losers show, or whatever the name, we should know how are family and friends are doing. We will join a group of friends of mine in the city who will help or cause." He looked around. "Everyone try and relax, we will head out in a few hours." He looked back at Marigold. "So, how do we play?"
Nana's eyes brightened at the word play and looked at Marigold.

Marigold stood watching Ron while he talked. She was a bit surprised he'd never heard of the game. One he asked her to explain, she began,

"The game's called Two truths and a false. I say three things, two things I have done, and one thing I haven't. You all have to try to guess which thing I haven't done. So, I have never: Been to Alola; Been on TV; or been the captain of a sports team. Oh, by the way, we'll go... clockwise."

She looked around the group. She knew that Rachel could probably guess it, and she had a feeling Ron might be able to as well. If he had been able to find her, he probably knew something about her, too. She wasn't sure about the others, though. It didn't help that she had a tennis racket fastened to her bag.

Eli sat up "Wait, what?" Eli shook his head "I love games, but where did this come from? did they tell you to do this?"

As Adolph is essentially pulled up off of the floor from being on his knees, he completely submitted to being pulled towards the others, and sighed softly, nodding. Of course, he was never one to fight back without reason, which explained his submissiveness towards being dragged. In reality, he felt as if the best plan was to essentially give in to the whims of others, at least while he is here. After all, if he didn't fight back and simply obeyed orders that had a reason to be given, the chances of him and the others around being abused would go drastically down. He gave a pained frown as Maker mentioned a game. While he was used to being able to quickly analyse options, actions and their results faster than most people, his implants only amplifying the ability, he seemed to be slightly less careful, and seemed to be a bit less analytical, perhaps due to the pain and shock from Lewis' death not only being traumatic in itself, but from the severed neural link. "A game... This isn't like you Maker, to want to please our captors... I... Expected you to show resistance, and show that they cannot control you... In a way, Lewis reminded me of you..." He replied without really thinking, for at this point, he didn't seem to have the ability to deeply analyse the results of his actions before engaging in them. "However... I'm glad we think alike, I've decided that submitting to them and listening to their orders for the most part is going to result in better treatment than resistance. Unless, of course, they try to force me to do something wicked or something where they have no right to order, in that case, I'll resist until I am given a window of opportunity, or am unable to fight back." He replied, sadly chuckling, as he attempted to at least look less depressed. However, how could one feel positive emotion in his current situation, when he's suffering dearly? Poor guy, it seems like he needs a shoulder to cry on, someone to let him vent his emotions while they try to show him that everything will be okay. Or at least a hug, that might end up working too.

Well, these past three months were already awful enough, but now this fucker was back, and now Gaeboo was absolutely livid. He held up a finger to Maker, telling her to wait a moment. He literally full-force kicked Adolph on the side of their head, not dealing with their crap at all. He walked back to Maker, then lightly nodded, sitting her down on a chair. He stood upright against a nearby wall, he was soooo thrilled to be hated on more by his associates.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Fleur sat on the ground, and simply watched the kids play their game. In the meanwhile, she also tried getting in contact again with her beloved, she was about to snap otherwise.

Maker was speechless as Gaeboo kicked Adolph. But, she didn't want to stand against him again. She just sat down quietly like he told her to. She waited for Adolph to make sure he was still functional and then started talking. "So, it's pretty simple. Truth or Dare. I'll go ahead and start. Renz, truth or dare?" She spoke to Renz but looked at Adolph to see if he had no serious injury then back at Renz.

Ron just shrugged. "I wouldn't know honestly." Nana looked around confused as she had no idea how the game was played.

The Heart of Frostfire.

As Adolph was kicked in the head, he flinched gently, but showed no real signs of pain, despite what seemed to be a small dent where he was kicked and almost instant bruising and mild swelling. He looked at Gaeboo coldly, and after a few seconds, replied in a cold, emotionless tone. "Do what you want with me, nothing you can do to me physically can come even close to the emotional and mental torture they've put me through... Even death is less painful." He then put a hand on the spot where he was kicked, and winced, however tried his best not to show any signs of pain. After all, if you show them a sign of weakness, they will exploit it as much as possible to hurt you, or so he thought. Poor guy, if one listened very closely to him, they might have ended up hearing a very quiet whimpering coming from him, although, it was more for how he was worried about the other Phoenixes, rather than the pain of being kicked.

Renz looked up when he heard his name. He had returned to his slump after watching Adolph get kicked. But now it was time to play a game... he wondered if the boogers had put her up to this, or if it was her own idea. He was silent for a moment or two, but finally responded.

“Uhhm... well... truth, I guess... I don’t really feel like moving...”

He knew he could regret his choice, but he didn’t care.

***************

Marigold smiled and gave Lily a thumbs up.

“You got it. I was on several sports matches on TV, and my home is in Alola. How about you go next, since you got it?”

Renz’s brain didn’t process the question at first. Girlfriends?

“Um... I’ve never been in a relationship like that... so I haven’t had any girlfriends...”

He paused for a moment or two, wondering why she had asked. Why would she want to know something like that? Unless she just didn’t have a question planned. Then he remembered he had to ask someone.

“Hey... Gaeboo... Truth or dare?

“Okay... lemme think...”

Renz was silent for about forty-five seconds while he tried to figure out a good question. He wanted to ask about what happened during Gaeboo’s.... er... talent. But he decided he probably didn’t want to know the answer. So instead he chose something else:

“What was your first Pokémon battle?”

Battling was a major part of Renz’s interest, so that was the first thing he came up with on short notice. Not to mention he knew that G had whole books full of strategy for battles.

"Easy. Eight years old, went from my home in Twinleaf to Sandgem to meet Professor Rowan. He gave me and my short-lived rival, Fleur, Piplup. It would've been an even match if Fleur's Piplup remotely listened to her. She named the little chump Spunk because of that, still makes me laugh. You know my Piplup, though. The name's Czar. Michael."

Previously The failure
Adolph simply sat where he was, his emotionless, neutral gaze returning in an attempt to protect himself, which was essentially the whole reason he adopted it in the first place! He closed his eyes and put his hands together in a sort of meditative pose, attempting to calm his broken mind, but utterly failing. It seemed that Gaeboo's attack, even being nothing compared to what the group has suffered, ended up being the thing that pushed him over the edge and broke him... At least he didn't break in a way that would end up in him hurting anyone else? However, as he tries to get into a meditation, he begins to sing a sad tune, quite quietly, the tune being an old war song from his home region, a song taught to him by his father, before he died in events that still haunt Adolph. While the words weren't able to be understood very well due to his quiet singing, if one knew at least a bit of German, it seemed to be a song about two lovers attempting to escape combat and reach the fabled 'holy land'. This song seemed to be the only bit of emotion he showed, as it was infused with everything the group has been through. However, as he was Adolph, he was too afraid of the reactions of others to really sing loud enough for someone to understand him without listening closely.

Jodi and Michael followed the group, a lot of complaints coming from the former. When Adolph was hit, Michael's eyes widened, while Jodi rolled her eyes at his comment.
"Say that to the Boogers, I'm sure they'll be thrilled to hear that," she whispered. As the game started, they didn't really pay much attention. Of course, when Renz answered his question, Michael couldn't help to listen closely. But soon after, Gaeboo said his name, indicating that it was his turn.
"Oh, um..." he started thinking. "Truth, I guess. I know it's not that exciting, but I'm not in the mood to kiss someone or rub my stomach and pat my head at the same time..."

"W-What?" Michael's eyes widened, his voice offended sounding. "Excuse you, but love is a beautiful aspect of life! And I don't have a sick mind if I'm not askin' you to hook up with each other! I only think about how compatible two people are. And I also like drama, good drama, in this case."
"Is there such a thing as good drama?" Jodi asked, confused.
" 'Course there is! Love is somethin' that everyone needs..." He moved his eyes to Gaeboo and glared at him. "... Especially you..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "But, I chose truth, so I have to tell the truth.... Alright, in pairs that are from this group, I shipped... two. Not saying who. And currently on----" He covered his mouth and quickly glanced at Kathren before looking away. "Um, none. And with someone outside this particular group... two, currently none." He sighed and thought about whose turn should be next. "Hm... Kathren. Truth....Or Dare?"

Renz turned his head to look at Kathren when Michael picked her. She seemed like she was blanking out, almost like she had been when she was first brought into this room... he gently shook her with one arm, trying to get her attention back to the group. If that didn't work, he patted the side of her face gently. Slapping had worked the last time, but he never wanted to do that again.

"Kathy... it's your turn..."

***************

Marigold kept looking at the girl, but since she didn't seem super eager to go, she turned back to the rest of the group.
"Okay, does anyone WANT to go next?"

Kathren sat silently, not paying attention to the game. She was like she was before Renz snapped her out of her silent, unresponsive state. Then a gentle pat on her cheek brought her back to reality, the shake doing most of the work. "Huh? My turn for what?" Pure confusion filled her face. Unlike when she was first here, she wasn't paying attention. She looked around, slightly confused and pointed at Aldoph. "What in the name of Arceus is he doing here?"

Rachel rose her hand. "Oh! Oh! I'll go next! Mary, you probably already know this, so please be quiet. I have gotten my first Pokemon from an egg I found in the woods. I don't really battle. Or I don't know how to cook."

Renz was glad to see that she wasn't staring and still anymore. He hated seeing her like that. It made him feel a strange pain to see his best friend in such a bad state. Since she seemed not to have realized anything that happened, he began quietly explaining.

"We're playing Truth or Dare. Maker suggested it... and, I honestly don't know why he's here... he was talking a few minutes ago, but... anyways, Michael asked you whether you want Truth or Dare."

He took his free hand and rubbed his eye for a moment. He was pretty apathetic about the game at this point, neither enjoying it or disliking it.

Maker gave Adolph a weird look, the kind you give a kid when he is eating a booger, and then looked away. She didn't know what to do about Adolph and she didn't want to worry about it. If he went crazy, she was sure Gaeboo and Renz could take him. She looked at Gaeboo and smiled when she saw him participating. As the game progressed, she slowly began to shiver, like when you go to sleep and you don't have a blanket. But, Azumi would endure it and continue on like nothing and so would she.
"I would just get a blanket." Azumi's voice whispered into Maker's ear.
Maker quickly turned around, but saw nothing. She looked around, but nobody had seemed to noticed it. She then froze as she saw her sister standing by the door of one of the rooms. "Just walk in, get a blanket, maybe change clothes? Then go back to the game. Not complicated really." Azumi said and then vanished.
Maker shook her head, the others didn't seem to have seen what she did. She got up, went into the room and came back with different clothes and a blanket. She sat down in the same spot. "Was that so hard?" Azumi's voice sounded in Maker's head. "I guess not." Maker said and watched the game.

----------- Meanwhile at the Avengers Cabin ---------------

Ron scratched his head. "Wasn't your sister cooking in the show? I would guess you can cook." He looked at Nana. "What do you think?"
Nana did a twirl and then clapped her small hand.
Ron nodded. "Right, ok. She doesn't know what's going on." He smiled.
