Which given all the shit he has done to Azumi, I don't think is asking for much by this point. Plus it feels only like a pity point given I had just grown pissed IRL at him and tired of this.

Hey everyone! It’s the 81st pity party for Godjacob! *confetti noises*

For me, these strategic/spontaneous battles are fun, but when it comes down to important character moments where they can’t afford to lose, it’s best to avoid certain people or just fight another character you control. Plus, it just gets de-motivating when you keep on losing and know that it’s extremely difficult to beat these certain people.

I think that has only happened to Yasu out of all of our characters.

Describes my feelings for more than half the RP honestly. I agree totally, but I can understand people like Shen and kyuu who prefer this style and don't want to be that guy who has to dumb them down to my level to compete. But yeah I feel like half my cast is useless as of now. And the ones who get "moments" feel undercut by circumstance.

Like said, some fights can be planned for character moments sake, as long as both RPers agree. But it adds suspense to have the standard one we already have in place. It’s been working well so far

I can relate to this especially with Taiyo before this arc and Tsuki and Seiun now.

If I recall, Seiun nearly beat Kai, stunning him down. And Taiyo managed to force jirobo, a far superior opponent to go to his strongest stage

I mean none of your characters are made losers by this arrangement like Kenji and half my cast so naturally you'd say that. I am in favor of different styles for different circumstances but I don't want to pretend we never have issues with this style. That is all I hope this doesn't come off as mean spirited.

Which I can understand. However I did have a pretty big loser there for a while...Kai. He sat at a 0% Win ratio for quite the while. After the sound four arc he began to redeem himself power wise, ironic since he’s my star character.

You could use either style, either are fine by me.

Eh, with Kai he never felt like a legit loser. He had solid showings against very, very strong characters (Sagiso) and he had a win or two in the Forest of Death. Plus now that he is on the redemption path including a very impressive display on Tayuya the early hiccups are easily forgotten.

He lost or tied every fight up until that point, aside his one victory requiring hashima’s help.

Alright! Time to compromise. I can agree to have fights be decided, but prior to that, whether the fight should be decided should also be decided.

Meanwhile contrast with Taiyo, who I intentionally made a very large hiccup that permanently scarred him(removing his arms) and thats harder to forget since he only started winning once he got FBS, and even then it took around another arc to get one.(Btw not angry just trying to make a point.

Welllll losing your own arms to your own attack is a bit more of a hiccup XD

I think he needs a good 1 on 1 fight to give him a good showing. One thing’s for sure though, he has the second most stamina iutnof all our OC’s, only under Tomiko

Madoka’s Walk of redemption is short. She lost only to Zaku and had a hard time with reaver. So she only has one loss on record

Considering my track record in this RP I have reason to have little faith XD.

I agree with Madoka but yeah Kenji is a damn tall order to restore dignity to.

This fight with the Sound will be really important for his character. Personally, I’d hate to see him lose here.

We can compromise on this issue. It's not a need for all fights to be unpredictable and for wildcards to be the deciding factor. However, as with the last time we brought up this topic, I'm fairly certain we'd said it was for the people involved in the fight to decide where they wanted a predetermined outcome.

Umm Shen? I can't find any sources that bats eat rats. Some eat fish, frogs or even other bats but no rats. The species that eat vertebrates are also not incredibly common, most smaller bats eat bugs and the larger ones are more known for eating fruit. Unless Kidomaru is some kind of bat expert, I find it to be a bold claim that the species Kenji is transformed as would eat rats.

Not particularly, it would be very dependent on the type of bat, and even then that would be more an oddity of the rat.

Such small rodents are very cautious in nature and they wouldn't stroll openly if there had indeed been predators. In addition, Bats are nocturnal and considering night would've just fallen its not exactly high time for them to be active.

However, irregardless, this cave was behind a waterfall...no? Not exactly a dwelling for bats, so the presence of a bat is in and of itself odd.

Just my opinion on it though, i might have to rescan for details and then do some research.

Shen has mucked this Azumi team plot so badly now one of the three might be killed. This is not what I wanted but I legit don't know what else she'd do given Reaver's actions/attitude.

Sagiso doesn't punch things. She can, but she's never really done it.

The fight I envision with Kidomaru is more to play against what Kidomaru believes are his advantages, and by that I mean I'm going to let him waste copious amounts of chakra defending himself against a gentle fist blow that may never come.

The thing with confident characters is there are two routes to take in a situation like this.

They can be the confident but devious type and they'll kill their opposition on the spot to prevent future troubles.

Or they can be the ever more confident type, who simply doesn't think of their opposition as worth their time. They'll ignore the first or even minor offenses because they believe themselves above such things, but they have a line at which, once crossed, the opponents life is forfeit.

Still I kinda am miffed at Shen for nuking this plot early and making Azumi look completely incompetent. Will probably take me some time to get over this IRL but I'll see what the future holds.

Furthermore, Azumi's rage shouldn't be a fiery consuming anger, instead it should be a chillingly frigid ire. I intend to have Azumi act in character regardless of my feelings. Me being angry IRL has nothing to do with how I will have Azumi act in this situation. She'll compose herself and act how I believe she would act here.

Just angry Shen seems to go out of his way to handicap this plot, make Azumi look like garbage and just sap the fun for me at every turn just to feed his desire for Reaver shenanigans. That will not change, but again Azumi is not me so she won't act how I would here.

Kidomaru analyzes every little detail, it’s his character. So don’t think your going to fool him so easily

He didn’t. Takato and Sagiso attacked and he was stabbed by Kin, his superior and a jinchurki. Sagiso never punked him

Again, every team has bumps. Sasuke trying to rebel from team seven and kill naruto several times and end up becoming an Akatsuki member is what I call mucked up
