Sagisō ~~Flashback~~

Sagisō shook her head at Kiro's question, already knowing what the response would be. The guards, for their part, exchanged glances, stared at the Uchiha then Sagisō, and then back to the Uchiha. What followed was the crackle and snickers of laughter as the guards strolled out of the prison.

Despite her momentary shock, Sagisō was a hardy girl -an Amazoness. She'd bathed in streams and rivers a-plenty in the wild, so a bucket wasn't enough to deter her. That's why she'd gotten straight to stripping, trying to utilize the water while it was at least still sorta warm.

Off when her sweater, over her head and tossed to the side of the cell. Next, she peeled off her bodysuit, revealing the set un tidy-whities she'd been wearing. It was, however, at this moment that Shura strolled into the cell and offered them rags.

If only he'd been a few seconds faster...

Half-naked as she was, Sagisō merely finished the process of removing her bodysuit, before covering her torso with it to preserve some modesty. During the whole process, her eyes had stayed on Shura, her face a mask of blankness.

"Just wait till I get out...", She deadpan-threatened, leaving the latter half of her words implied -to stimulate the imagination.

She kept her gaze on Shura, her mouth curving into a smirk as she looked not at him, but what was behind him. The pair of guards had returned, in their hands a clean set of clothing for Sagisō and Kiro. They stared, unamusedly, at Shura's act of kindness.

"We'll be nice and let you pick your cell."

They looked down at him, gesturing for him to choose one of two cells. Either the Cell beside Sagisō, or the Cell beside Kiro.

Kanshi was quick to move to attack Damos, chakra enveloping his sword as he gave a wife slice to behead to masked monster. Before the sword could connect, one of Damos’s fingers extended grotesquely, stabbing right through the sword. Kanshi’s eyes widened as his main weapon had been stabbed right through by the freak show before him. Before he could dislodge if from the Akatsuki member’s grasp, The sword had begun to liquify into a thick metallic paste, dropping down from Damos’s staving point, splattering on the floor as if it had been an ice cream cone on a summer day, leaving Kanshi with only the stick that remained of it.

What the- it just melted! What did he just do?! Without saying a justu name or handsigns at all either. Screw waiting for them, I’m out of here!

“Water style! Pressured water Justu!”

He flashed a few handsigns as Damos patiently let happen, Kanshi shooting a stream of water at the wall behind him, blowing a hole out into the open. Kanshi was met with a storm of black rain, and a trail of several men and women laid out on the ground, black veins spread across each of their skins.

What...! What happened to them?! This black rain must be responsible somehow. And something tells me this freak did it. I...can’t run. I’m stuck here with this THING! I have to fight...”

Kanshi began to tremble a bit in his right hand, clenching it down to try and quell it, albeit to little success. Damos caught on to this instantly, cocking his head at the man in front of him. He was silent, just observing his terrified expression, but without one of his own.

“What are you waiting for, freakazoid?” Kanshi growled. “Come at me!

If You Insist.”

From somewhere Kanshi didn’t see, he was struck violently out of the building by several thick red spikes that jutted out from an unknown location. Kanshi was sent flying into the storm, a head of black rain nearing his face...just to fizzle out into steam upon touch....

Kanshi landed on his feet on a nearby roof, blood trickling out of three wounds on his chest. A power stemmed from his body that turned the black raindrops into steam. A red, bubbling chakra came from him and a single red tail grew from behind his body. A tailed beast chakra cloak! Damos seemed void of expression, his cloak rustling in the wind.

“Heh...you made one mistake, mask man.” Kanshi grinned madly, his eyes a a deep dark yellow now. “You think you are the monster in this fight?!?”

.......

Jin watched the fight from his window, not leaving the compound and not alerting any forces whatsoever. He simply continue to stare at the black swirling clouds and black rain.

“Honor guard, get every ninja you can to stay away from this fight. They have him. We do not need any casualties today.”

They looked at one another in confusion before bowing to Jin’s command, darting off to enact it. Jin’s deep set expression locked into the figure of Damos, and not letting go of that lock

Shōshitsugetsu

The Mist's thickened, reducing visibility drastically as the Mist village was shrouded in white mist and streaks of black raindrops.

"Arara~? I wasn't expecting to be summoned to this."

Strolling across the village and taking to the roofs was Shōshitsugetsu Hōzuki. She'd just been making her way over to the Mizukage's office when all hell seemed to break loose within the village. Like a roving rain-lady, she carried an umbrella that blocked the odd black rain.

"Well, well, well...I hope you've still got it in you to party with an Old Lady like me~?"

She waved her hand casually, the thickened mists condensing into 10 Water clones on the surrounding buildings.

"Kanshi. Don't lose your cool."

The Water clones split into two groups of 5 each and charged at Damos. As they approached them begun to collide with each other...no, they merged into each other. By the time the clones reached Damos, they were two behemoth women, each of them 5 times the size of Shōshitsugetsu. They had been made from five clones after all.

The first of the giant water-women took a swing at the Akatsuki member, her fist careening into the building Damos stood in. An attempt to smash into him like a water-formed wrecking ball.

Shōshitsugetsu had seen the way the black water affected the Mist Shinobi...but would they have the same effect on bodies water?

Shen: King of Digimon

Damos didn’t bother to look at the new addition to the fight, his mask focused solely on Kanshi’s direction. The giant water clone drew near to him, but he still showed no sign of fear nor interest. As it came down to smash the part of the building he was in, he leaped up high into the air, unnaturally so, letting the fist smash the entire room to bits.

Damos landed on the shoulder of the water clone. Still not breaking eye contact with Kanshi, Damos extended a finger by several feet, stabbing right into the neck of the water clone. The clone seemed in pain, making horrid facial expressions, slowly becoming more and more transparent. The water was seen sloshing around inside, turning a jet black. The water clone gave on last shriek of pain as it splattered it a huge swath of black water, spraying all over the place. The black waves gushed towards Shoshit as well as Kanshi. Not only that, but right toward many civilians nearby who were under the cover Mei so graciously provided.

Damos landed down on the rooftop of the same building the water clone had previously smashed into. His head slowly turned and locked into the new threat, his dark red, cold eyes staring into hers. No pain, no malice, No joy, and most importantly....no mercy

Shōshitsugetsu

"...What!?"

Shock crossed the face of the Hōzuku Matriarch. That black water was odd...too odd. It seemed almost corruptive in nature...

She glanced to the waves of black water that splashed her way but paid them no mind. Instead, she fell into thought as she observed her opponent.

While Shōshitsugetsu didn't move, her remaining water giant did. The Giantess stomped on the ground, her leg erupting into waves of water that battered against the black water, halting their process and redirecting them. It had protected the citizens, Shōshitsu and Kanshi. But it was not done yet.

As Shōshitsugetsu's man body flashed a few hand-signs, the Clone shimmered becoming almost syrupy...and sticky. The clone clasped its hands together, forming a pistol from its fingers. "Hiden Art: Water gun: Two-Handed Magnum!"

The bullet shot from the clone, because of its size seemed more like a cannonball, and it was heading straight for Damos.

Mei

Snorting coldly, Mei waved her hand and shouted to the Shinobi around her. "Defend the citizens! Evacuate them with care! I'll go myself!"

Leaving her orders she took to the roofs, closing in on the sky-high battle.

Kanshi growled as a portion of the black water wave washed over the tailed beast cloak, evaporating but still seeking to cause some kind of strain on the barrier. His growls became grunts as he preformed several handsigns.

“Water style! Twin blades Decapatatioon!”

Two deep red chakra swords emerged from the tailed beast cloak of Kanshi’s. Kanshi snickered sinisterly to Damos, who didn’t seem to be paying attention to him. In mere moments, Kanshi leaped toward Damos, the twin blades swerving like scissors to cut Damos into ribbons. Damos didn’t look his way as he extended one of his fingers down several feet. He then lashed the nail toward Kanshi, extending mid attack. The sharp finger grew to twenty feet in length, acting as a whip, slashing Kanshi into the full brunt of the water cannon.

Kanshi was immediate swamped and thrown of course, skidding across a nearby roof, causing a crater from the attack. Not looking back at Kanshi, instead setting his sights on Shoshit, Damos lifted that same single finger he used to whips kanshi into submission. He was eerily silent, the nail shooting into several little sharp pieces that rocketed toward Shoshit herself, and more specifically, her umbrella. A scatter shot, recompiling is deep red talon to do so

Shōshitsugetsu

...

The Hōzuki Mistress stared speechlessly at Kanshi. "After I'd just told him not to lose his cool...whatever."

As a bonus, the stickiness of the Water release would hold down the Jinchuriki for the moment. She would take advantage of this! Noticing Damos' attack, Shōshitsugetsu tossed her umbrella upward. It still hovered above her, protecting her from the black rain while she drew a circular sheet of water forming infront of her. Her hands 'melting' into the water that formed the sheet. "Water Style: Water Mirror Technique!"

Out from the water mirror, the light illuminated a figure, dressed in black and red with red clouds on his cloak. Cyan hair poked up from the figure, a pale white mask with dark red eyes firmly fitted onto his face. He had a heavy sway, approaching the mist with only two red-eye outlines revealed from his mask - it was Damos!

The Damos copy lifted that same single finger he used to whip Kanshi into submission. He was eerily silent, just as the original, and the nail shoot into several little sharp pieces that rocketed toward Domos himself, and more specifically, his attack. A scattershot, recompiling is deep red talon to do so. The original attack and its mimicry collided, canceling each other out as the mimicry collapsed into a moist mist. Catching the Umbrella as it descended, Shōshitsugetsu turned away from Damos.

The Water Mirror Technique had siphoned a significant chunk of Shōshitsugetsu's chakra, at least 20%. However, she took the opportunity to rush over to Kanshi, and utilizing the best of her genjutsu skills, would send him to sleep. He was not ready for this fight.

Mei

Expression grim, Mei moved to intercept Damos should he attempt to chase Shōshitsugetsu. With silence to match his own, the Mizukage faced the Masked man.

Damos let his attacking hand down, a red talon growing back in the place of the lost one. The bits of the red talon that was flung originally still rested between them on the ground. He stared straight at her, unyielding and incapable of fear. As soon as she made the movie for Kanshi, the red bits of the talon floated back up from the ground, shooting back at her legs and ankles where she wouldn’t expect an attack from.

Kanshi struggled to get up, fighting against the sticky substance he was swamped in. Suddenly, a drowsy feeling overcame him. Trying to keep his fight or flight instincts active, he grit his teeth and attempted to rise up, to no avail. His eyelids sinking lower and lower.

“No....I can’t let this monster....”

With that, Damos calmly walked towards Kanshi’s ever drowsy body, one hand hidden inside of his sleeve. He got within ten feet of the boy, staring down at him. It was time.

Mei

A strong wind began to pick up in the Mist. Merely a zephyr at first, then a gale, soon the winds howled with wild abandon. Holding down her hat, Mei clicked her tongue. "It's about time...Fūshin!"

From atop one of the Mist's building's sat Fūshin or Nowaki, the Typhoon Release user as he performed his Great Consecutive Bursting Extreme Winds. Soon a tornado has formed within the Mist, sweeping up objects. The citizens were safe, protected by the Shinobi Mei had sent earlier.

The Tornado swept through the skies, forcefully tearing clouds to shreds. Although the technique was powerful, the user couldn't move while casting it. As such, by Fūshin's side was Karyuu, the Lava Release user.

With the black rain swept up by the tornado, Mei charged out into the open. Her eyes locked onto Damos, and she signaled to several other Mist Shinobi. "Prepare a barrier!"

Shōshitsugetsu

Desperate times called for desperate measures! Since Damos was far closer to Kanshi that she was, Shōshitsugetsu took such drastic measures. Her Water Giantess came running, jumping into the air as it aimed to belly-flop and sticky-water bomb the entire area, Kanshi included. The boy would be roughed up, but he'd live. If Damos stuck around though, it was hard to imagine he'd be able to escape the splash with Kanshi in tow.

Shōshitsugetsu was, of course, able to traverse the stickiness of her own water-style without issue, but she didn't move hastily. Weaving hand-seals rapidly, she initiated the Water Dragon Bullet Jutsu. She would allow her giantess to encapsulate the entire area with her stickiness, before sweeping in with the Water Dragon.

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
The tornado rammed into the cloud, the black cloud seeming to replicate itself no matter what damage it received, like it kept growing back. Damos however seemed to notice this tornado, slowly dropping his left hand. The cloud overhead began to fade, but freeing up another hand for Damos to use in combat.

Damos looked onwards as her clone was going to bellyflop the whole area in her sticky solution, followed up by her water dragon bullet justu. Damos didn’t appear to be phased by this attack, both of his hands now available. He held out one of them, and that’s when the water bullets hit.

The area was surrounded in the following mist the billet provided. As it cleared, what remained at Damos’s location would shock everyone. A crimson red barrier made of a crystalline substance. Make no mistake. This was ice. Only one clan was capable of producing such a structure. Inside the structure, Kanshi was covered from the attack, while also protecting Damos himself. His cloak began to fade as he was subdued by the Hozuki head’s genjustu

Damos, fortified with his new crimson catacomb, used two hands, aiming to put a swift end to ShoShit. The crimson barrier shattered into five large deep red crystals. The crystals all pointed directly to Shoshit, before launching directly her way. Mid flight, the crystals began to contort, much like Damos’s fingers. They began to coils and crack to form thick branches and bundles of spikes, limiting paths Shoshit could possibly take. It seemed different yet similar to ice release. It felt more...alive.

......

Jin cringed as he saw the crimson barrier rise from Damos’s position. He looked to an honor guard whom still at his side.

“Mei will come storming in with questions, make sure you are there to greet her”

Shōshitsugetsu

"Hoho~?"

It was just one surprise after another with this guy. That black rain & now this odd...Ice release? She would expect to hear of this later. For now, the task at hand was more important. Weaving hand seals, she cast a water armor on her person. No, not one, but three layers of water armor, then she spat out a torrent of Black Water, "Water Release: Black Wave!"

The black waves crashed as they were expelling from her mouth in a continuous stream, slamming into the shards of Ice. Even as she did this she clicked her teeth together. In her mouth, was a Concealed Mouth Ember. It was a small device that created but a spark the user could spit at a flammable substance. The Ember formed just outside her teeth and was immediately swallowed by the jet of Black Water -nay, Oil.

The entire slick-stream erupted with such fierce flames that the water armor on the Hōzuki Head's body began to steam and evaporate. The Ice was no exception as it too was swallowed whole by the roaring flames, and still Shōshitsugetsu only added more Oil.

The tongues of fire would leap like beasts towards whatever was coated in Oil, and so she slathered the area around Damos, raising columns of flame that licked at the sky. The swelling heatwaves, though subtly, were affecting the weather -summoning forth great storm clouds.

However, that was not Shōshitsugetsu's focus. Her focus was on the Crimson Barrier of Ice which, if not for its bright and eye-catching color, wouldn't even have been visible within the flames.

Shen: King of Digimon

Damos showed no surprise toward the sudden oil and fire attack. He simply watched as they enveloped the crystal storm he sent to her as well as encircle him. He just stood there, flames dancing around his ghastly cloak while the wind rustled his hair. Without moving his body at all, the crystal barrier grew smaller, wrapping around Lanshi like a crimson cocoon. Soon after it did so, the roof underneath it gave way, the cocoon falling through the hole and landing several feed in front of Misa, debris from the shingles all around it.

Now that’s a Kanshi was no longer an immediate concern, Damos was seen actually moving his head, slightly lowering it, his eyes dead set of Shoshit. Without preforming any justu at all, and keeping his hands perfectly hidden under his sleeves, Damos calmly stride forward to her, his stare ever present. Flames fizzled out upon him coming close to them, a deep red fluid back to pool around ever step he made. Something wasn’t right. An unsettling feeling grew as Damos for one approached his opponent instead of standing stoically. If appears she had earned his attention

Shōshitsugetsu

The winds died down as Fūshin's Typhoon release was dispersed.

Wiping the oil from her lips, Shōshitsugetsu peered into the mask of the approaching man. For a moment, her pupils flickered as she observed Mei arriving on the scene. The Kage nodded to the Hōzuki, as she spat out a puddle of oil that covered Damos' path of entry. It soon ignited, sealing the Akatsuki member into the circle of flames. Mei nodded to Shōshitsugetsu, and as the former dressed back to observe, the latter begun weaving hand signs.

"That's a neat little trick you got there...extinguishing those flames...can you do it...without chakra~?"

Secret Technique: Mist Rain!

Brewing a rain technique of her own, Shōshitsugetsu used the technique unique to Kirigakure Hunter-nin. A light mist rolled onto the field, followed by a drizzle.

The Mist Rain was perhaps the most dangerous tool in any hunter-nin's arsenal, a Rain that absorbed chakra of any jutsu that didn't match the chakra signature of the wielder. Even former perfect Jinchuriki of the mist, for all their large chakra reserves, would find it difficult to even utilize jutsu beneath the effects of Mist Rain.

The clincher in this plan, was, however, the Oil fire. The ring of flames surrounded Damos, and because they were now fueled by already existing Oil, the Mist Rain couldn't affect them. Just as it wouldn't affect earth already created by an earth-release jutsu.

It seemed a sound plan, except for one hiccup. The Rain would eventually extinguish the flames! Or...would it?

While that might be the case for regular flames, were special. While enough water would certainly smother the flames, that wouldn't be before the water magnified the flames several times over.

Water, being denser than oil would sink to the bottom, and then when introduced to the heat of the oil flame, immediately vaporize into steam. The steam would surge through the oil and magnify the flames immensely. A small amount of water on a small oil flame could create a fireball larger than a human.

Damos stopped walking as soon as Mei arrived, halting in his tracks. Damos unnaturally quivered, his entire body, even under his cloak fluidly rustled. He peered up at Mei, and his eyes narrowed, a deep almost growl came from Damos, but not quite. Almost af it it were just a dark vibration.

As they began to team up at Damos, he threw up his hands, an suddenly a mysterious red fluid came flowing, no. POURING. It surrounded him like mellow, adding on and sloshing around. It Damos was how encased in a big, red, pulsating blob of red. It didn’t seem to be just water, not ice. It throbbed almost as if it were a beating heart.

“Futility.”

The rain poured over it, but instead of sapping from the blob, it seemed to just fuel it. The rain corrupting upon contact and being turned into something new. As a fireball was sent hurtling his way, Damos stretched out his hand, something slithering it from under his cloak. What slithered out emerged from the red bubble, a thick, crimson tendril with almost a skull like shape attached to the front of it. The skull had sharp teeth visible, three slashes under the eyes, and almost resembled a shark in nature.

SKREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!”

The skull shrieked in a deafening pitch as it fired a powerful burst of black water, a water shark bomb justu that had been deformed, corrupted, and ever so fearsome. It tore through the fireball, exploding violently and a shower of black water mixed in with charred ash

Shocked expressions filled the battlefield. "What ungodly abomination is that?" The skull-face...thing was grotesque beyond imagination, and the corrupted waters extinguished the flames and were thus extinguished, Shōshitsugetsu retreated in a panic. The heat from the flames had evaporated all the Mist that'd once been in the area, and the rising steam from the clash of jutsu billowing heavenward.

Stopping the Mist Rain, the Hōzuki Head maintained her distance. This foe was...prickly, and even that was a gross understatement.

Waving hand seals, the Hōzuki cupped her mouth. "Water Release: Water Formation Wall!" Spewing a torrent of water towards the skies, she aimed to block the black rains from raining down on the village below. However, while her water wall intercepted the black water, it also fell in Damos' direction.

Not skipping a beat, Shōshitsugetsu wove a few more hand-seals. "Raiton!" Adding Lightning natured chakra to her water, she intended to drown the Akatsuki member in an electrifying wave.

On Damos' other side was Mei, also weaving hand-seals and kneading chakra into corrosive acid. "Lava Style: Melting Apparition!"

The waves of corrosive liquid were aimed at Damos, but rather than from the sky, the waves rushed over rooftops, melting everything in their path. Since Jin had evacuated the citizens, Mei could now begin to let loose. Her Lava and Boil Release jutsu didn't discriminate between friend and foe, and thus she'd been restricted while the citizens were around.

Damos watched on as Shoshit scrambled back, fearing what was before her. Shaking off those feelings, she sent a defenseive and offensive technique: a crashing wall of water. To put icing on the cake, she ignited it with a stream of electricity.

Mei came from behind, shooting a lava stream of her own. Damos looked between them, stretching out his second hand towards Mei. Suddenly, three more tendrils emerged from his sleeves. One more from his left, and two more from his right. The left One came to aid the shark faced one against Shoshit. It seemed two be more distinct than the others, two red extensions coming from the left and right of the skull seeming similar to hair, even though it was the mysterious red fluid.

The two others wriggled over to Mei’s corner. In appeared to be damaged, the left section of it’s eye missing, instead filled by a black void. And another seeming to have a much flatter skull with an more exposed forehead. Damos shuddered when these emerged, seeming to cause strain on him.

The two skulls looking at the Hozuki opened their mouths.

“SKREEEEEEEEEEEEE!”
“SKREEEEEEEEEEEEE!”

Both of them shrieked at volumes that could even make a deaf man flinch, the skull with extensions firing a thick beam of blue electricity at the wave. The lightning screamed as it battled the opposing electricity, meanwhile the Shark faced skull fired another 2 shark bombs, utterly destroying the wave before him with the combination. While the shark bombs were used up on the water, the electricity cane going, zooming it to zap the Hozuki who had just used powerful draining chakra moves.

“SKREEEEEEEEEEEEE!”
“SKREEEEEEEEEEEEE!”

The hair facing Mei both shot out jet streams of water, washing over the lava as it came down to him. The lava was turning into steam right before their very eyes. The streams were making good work of the lava, even making headway’s as they hinedbin toward the user.

Tsuki
The Yuki-nin let out a noise of surprise when Hyo came to apply some medicine on her wound. Sure she meant no harm, but the way the Hozuki went about her task distrubed Tsuki, and yet, she found the Hozuki's method of healing enthralling.

I should document this, if I learn how she did what she did, maybe I can mass produce it and sell it. I just hope Hyo doesnt mind me asking.

As she was being dragged away by Hyo to follow Hama, she began to plan for future battles, resolving to prove to herself wrong about being unfit for combat.

"Hyo, can I ask you a question?"
Seiun
Wasting no time, Seiun made his way towards the ice bridge to wherever Hama was taking them. While foing so, he examined his new axe with a dissatisfied expression, sure he liked having it, but it left something to be desired.

"Firstly, a beauty such as yourself is gonna need a name," Seiun muttered to himself, "thinking either Kira or Akuma...maybe a combination of both? And you need a major paintjob, one that mainly involves black and blue," The Lightning Rouge then began to imagine the carnage that he was going to wreak upon the world once he was free, a malicious grin forming while he did so.

How I long to return to the mist...mainly cause I want to pack my shit and bolt.

Mei

Narrowing her eyes, Mei kept up with her Lava release. She controlled the pressure of her steam, loosening it to control the rate at which her Lava was pushed back. As the streams encroached on her position the clash between them and her lava stream had caused both liquids to fly in all directions.

Of note, was the fact that acid had begun to splash onto the building Mei was standing on. As the walls dissolved and the building's innards were exposed, the structural integrity of the building was compromised. Mei was watching exactly this process. As the streams of water were held back only several feet in front of her, she stomped down.

Already weakened, the ledge she'd been standing on crumbled with the blow and Mei dropped. The two streams of water shot overhead while the Mizukage landed among the streets.

She looked up at the Akatsuki member and wiped the traces of Acid still on her lips. Advancing slowly, she addressed the man.

"It always hurts my heart to melt a good-looking guy… But you're going to have to die."

Shōshitsugetsu

"Water Release: Water Shedding"

The Hōzuki slipped backward, stepping out of her own skin. A small child, around the size of Hyō emerged from Shōshitsugetsu's back, while the watery-husk that had been Shōshitsugetsu stepped forward. Stepping right into the path of the lightning bolt, the husk of water exploded, sending steam and Mist in all directions.

The explosion knocked the, now childish, Shōshitsugetsu from her roof-top perch. She recovered in mid-air, chakra lacing her fingers and feet as she latched onto a wall. She slid down for a while, using her chakra to slow her descent. Eventually, she came to a stop, perching against the vertical surface.

She'd used the water forming her own body as a shield, by shedding some of it to intercept an attack, she could slip out of harm's way.

"Tsk...chakra's such a pain. If I were in the ocean..."

Sighing, she swung herself through the nearest window and went bolting through the corridors.

She slammed open the first room she found, and her eyes locked onto the faucet. "Time to improvise!" Grinning, she slipped into the plumbing system of the building, flicking all the pipes on. Slowly but surely, the building began to flood...

Hyōryugetsu

"Ah? Go ahead. What would you like to know?"

Although her eyes kept shiftily glancing to the water around them, which was a far less taxing means of travel than walking, they settled on Tsuki as soon as the girl spoke up.

Flashback
Shura stood there as Sagiso started taking her clothes off, he looked away but looked back when he heard Sagiso's more so aggressive comment. "Seriously where is all this agression coming from? Is this still about the books?" He thought to himself with a slight raise of an eyebrow. He noticed the smirk form on Sagiso's face as he also noticed the two guards walking back. "Oh great, this is what I get for trying to be nice." He thought with a sigh as he put the rags in his hand away. He turned around to look at the two guards. "Look, I won't tell you how to do your jobs, but I just thought the treatment given out to these two is unwarranted. They did break one of the main clan rules and deserved their punishment but I found treating them like this isn't really necessary. They're not war prisoners... Well Kiro is but Sagiso isn't." Shura ranted with a casual tone.

~~ Flashback ~~

"Uhuh, you can use your time in prison to write all about it. Once you get out you can bring it up with Lady Hinagiku."

Since Shura hadn't chosen, the guards did for him. The opened the cell next to Sagisō's. "Get in or you'll have to spend extra time in her for refusing to adhere to Clan Penalties."

Needless to say, they'd confiscated his rags and two new buckets were brought for Shura.

Strictly speaking, this type of confinement was already the bottom rung. Punishments only got harsher and harsher and depending on the crime, were set to ensure that repeat offenders didn't exist. For casual rules such as the ones these three had broken, solitary confinement was the standard, just with varying lengths of time. Shura had 1 day's confinement, Kiro 3 days, and Sagisō 5.

The little girl had been sitting on the pile of corpses while Damos’ fight happened in the building behind her. She however looked up when Shoshitsu showed up with her many water clones. She watched as one of the giant clones was infected by Damos and splashed its black liquid contents around the battle field. “Ah, how bothersome.” She thought as she hopped to the side of the building to get out of the way of the incoming black wave then jumped back onto a pile of bodies that had gathered in the water and continued watching the fight.

The next event that came up was when Fushin unleashed his tempest realease to try to blow away Damos’ clouds. She formed a circle with her hand and aimed it at the corpses scattered around, those corpses would then suddenly spring back to life and form a wall in front of the girl, shielding her from the wind. She’s saw Damos undo his clouds shortly after. “Oh good, those thing were stating to get annoying.” She said to herself.

When she saw Shoshitsu send her water giantess to do a belly flop on the battlefield, the girl used one of the corpses as leverage to scale the building next to her and get above the splash zone from the belly flop and the water dragon bullet that followed. “I’m getting caught in the crossfire a lot, seriously why am I even here.” She thought to herself before dropping back to her corpse seat.

When Shoshitsu set fire to the oil substance she sprayed out of her mouth, the girl wasn’t bothered by it as she used her controlled corpses to block the heat from the flames. That was until Damos dropped the jinchuriki near her which surprised the shadowed girl. “Hey Damos! Warn a girl before dropping a fancy rock in near her next time will yah!” She’s shouted, finally stepping out of the shadow. The figure was reavealed to be a young girl with short black hair styled in pigtails.

Misa spent the rest of the fight doing the same thing she had done since the beginning as she sat on the sidelines, but now she occasionally used the cocooned Jinchuriki as a shield as well by making the corpses carry it around. When Damos started to look strained, Misa decided to pitch in. “Hey Damos! You want some help?” She shouted.

Ignoring Misa’s offer of assistance, Damos cocked his head at Mei, who had just evaded a Gruesome death by water jets. She wiped some acid from her lips, saying that he was to die. Damos didn’t seem to care, turning his back to her as if she didn’t matter. Soon enough, the pulsating red sphere he encased himself in began to vanish and recede into himself. The red skull like tendrils coiling back in as well. At this point, he began to meld into the building from the rooftop without any handsigns. Very similar to a Hozuki in nature.

Appearing down with Misa, who had the jinchurki still tightly wrapped, Damos landed down from the ceiling. Thick red droplets came from him as he turned to her.

We have what we need.”

Damos walked down the hallway of the building as if he never had fought Mei nor Shoshit, calmly and without even so much as a tear on his cloak.

Outside of the compound, at the streets near Mei, Jin, the head of the Yuki made his apperance. Walking out, he eyed her directly.

“Mei. You need to stop this fighting. It will only cause more destruction. What fought you today is more than you can handle, nor I, we both know this. Or have you so quickly forgotten the day it first appeared?”

.......

Kai ushered quickly to follow Hama’s Ice bridge she was making, careful not to get close to seiun’s shiny new toy either. Hama began to whistle a tune, paving the path to the island ahead, all the while, Kai looked over to seiun.

“...You take trophies now? Do you even know how to wield that thing?”

Somewhere along the line, Hama stopped whistling, growing quiet for some reason. In the far distance, a black cloud was spotted. Faint, but noticeable. Hama eyed it, her eyes growing fierce.

So you have finally returned....!

Mei

Eyeing the gathering thunderclouds, the Mizukage shook her head...It wasn't ready, and likely would not be for some time. She sighed, her breath scorching the very air with is corrosive-ness. She eyeballed Jin as he approached, her expression unreadable.

She turned away, signalling for the barrier division she'd called for to stand down. The damage was done, she could see it in their gazes. Their pupils shaken with fear, their hearts gripped by terror.

Any army, no matter how powerful, would fall once the seeds of fear had sprouted. It was an immutable fact, low morale meant little to no chance of victory.

The Mizukage closed her eyes. Even if they hadn't slain their invaders, they would've at the very least been able to evict them from their village. Shoshitsugetsu had done an excellent job scouting out the opponent's arsenal. She'd fought for long enough that Mei had already devised solutions to the Black Rain and the corrupting nature of the opponent's jutsu.

She herself was hadn't expended much chakra, and despite their opponent's pomp, she'd seen the strain in his body language. His latest jutsu likely had quite the cost in chakra to maintain, and the Mist had barely begun to reveal its fangs. With the additions of herself, her aides, the Yuki Honor Guard, the special forces of the Katatachi, Hoshigaki and Hozuki Clans, and the three remaining Clan Heads themselves, had the man any choice but to submit?

Even without a total victory, they would've surely been able to keep Kanshi safe.

Now —watching as the man walked away— her remorse was evident.

They were an army...defeated after a skirmish between scouts.

It had not been Damos' power, nor the fear he inspired that led them to defeat...

No. The final nail in the coffin had been Jin himself. 'What fought you today is more than you can handle, nor I, we both know this'

What words were these? How were the soldiers to rally, if their own leaders crushed their confidence with impunity?

Her blood boiled in rage, but it was too late. The seeds of defeat had already been sown, flowers of self-doubt had sprouted, and that once sweet fragrance now stunk of inevitable defeat.

Finally focusing on Jin, she spoke. "and I think you've forgotten that we live in the present."

She strode off, following behind Damos at a distance. Although this battle might've been a lost cause, she would not permit more harm to her village. It would be in everyone's best interest that the duo left with what they'd already won.

Misa stared at Damos with a pouting face. "Why do I even bother with offering assistance when all he's going to do is ignore me." She said to herself with a sigh and an eye roll. When Damos dropped down beside her and began walking away, Misa followed him without saying anything. She turned back when Mei began following them as well. "Oh, seems little miss Mizukage is following us."

Mei lunged ahead, ignoring Jin’s warnings. Jin grit his teeth, holding out his hand.

“Mei! Damn it...!”

Jin was forced to follow her, his honor guard hesitating before following suit as well. Jin didn’t seem to have fear in his eyes as his motivation to keep Mei away. He raced next to her, with ever growing Concern.

“This isn’t needed, Mei! What we should do is go collect up each and everyone afflicted by the black rain. You will find they are still alive, but their vitals are extremely weak. If we hurry and isolate them, they should be able to survive. Trust me on this.”

Several Yuki ninja on a silent order ran into the streets, securing an afflicted ninja or citizen and leaping away. It seemed Jin wasn’t asking permission in order to do this.

"Oh, seems little miss Mizukage is following us."

Damos heard Misa’s words, not bothering to turn back and face her. Like she hadn’t earned his attention. Instead he didn’t shake is current pace and tone. The floating, red, crystal casket floated behind them.

“Inconsequential.”

"Before you ask, your daughter is in the care of her fellow clansmen. As far as I am aware, she is safe."

Kakashi seemed to instantly pick up on Hinagiku's chief concern, even with his eyes traced to his favorite piece of literature as he and his team docked off Raiku's boat to greet her at the shore. Sakura wished she could have said she enjoyed the ride, but given this feeling in the air of confrontation along with her experiences the day before she found an eased state of mind to be too elusive as she approached the Hyuga Head.

"Though while we are inevitably gonna go on the topic of missing teammates, I notice you seem to be short well....an entire team." Kakashi asked with that same casual demeanor as Sakura seemed equally puzzled that Hina was out here all alone. Sakura guessed they were camped nearby, I mean they'd have to be....but if Kakashi's account held true than that served to complicate things. Could she really have left her team all alone deliberately?

No way, I am just making wild guesses. Even then maybe she has a plan?
Or she is just uncaring and crazy. Guess we'll find out.

-----------
Tayuya & Takato followed Shura closely as they crossed the water that divided islands as he made mention to be cautious and on alert as Tayuya had to internally roll her eyes at that.

Oh joy I was waiting for the Captain Obvious statement of the day.

"See anything ahead on that island?" Takato asked, as he figured with the Byakugan on hand scouting would be a simple matter for Shura and would better give a clue of what to expect as they worked to get to this new island.

----------
Darui continued to lead the group closer to the edge of the island as Aisha kept the scent of the Jinchuriki in mind before he halted their advance. He could see the outline of what appeared to be a water source some ways ahead of them. Whether it was shallow enough to cross by foot or not had been the least on Darui's mind as he faced Aisha and her wolf companions.

"Do they have experience being transformed into anything but humans?" Darui asked as Aisha blinked. With the man-beast transformation it granted Luna & Sky the ability to perfectly transform into human clones with access to justu of their own. In theory, they could then transform into something else much like regular ninja do. But...

"P-possibly? Though I've never experimented with that with them before." Aisha admitted to Darui who took that thought into consideration as he jutted to some foliage behind them with a clearing.

"Practice. Try to change into some native birds here and see if they can get the hang of flying. I'd advise you two do the same." Darui instructed both Kenji & Taji as Kenji let out a sigh.

Okay, first a wolf. Then a bat and now a bird. By the end of this mission I'll fill up the entire animal kingdom...

Irregardless, Kenji followed Aisha & her wolves as they transformed. Luna & Sky first into their man beast clones then they all turned into non conspicuous birds as they began to practice flight in mid air while Darui would observe and leave a spot for Taji to join.

Right as Takato asked him if he could see anything, Shura had already activated his Byakugan and had been scanning the island. "Nothing perticularly intresting right now, thought i do see some action further off." He explained as they arrived at the island.

Flashback
Not feeling like arguing any further, Shura walked into the cell the guards had appointed him to. He looked at the buckets given to him. "Are these necessary?" He thought to himslef before sighting and looking back up towards the guards. "I don't believe prison guard duties are all that exciting when there are no prisonners to guard. What other duties do you gentlemen have around the clan?" Shura asked with quite suddenly while keeping his casual tone.

Mei

"You've chosen a poor time to remember obeisance...but put your worries to rest. If I had planned to attack, I would've done so already. It's only right I escort our guests to the Village gates...safely."

Beyond the initial assault, few had been afflicted by the Black Rains. She herself had ensured that. Now, she would ensure it stayed that way. Her hands clenched, beckoning to the village around her. The heavy mists, brewing clouds, stone walls and earthen grounds. They felt prime and supple, eager to follow her commands.

It was at that moment that out of the windows of a nearby building came Shoshitsugetsu, surfing a wave of water. She landed beside Mei, also cautiously eyeing the Duo as they left. "Shall I..?"

Mei exchanged glances with the Hozuki Head, a sly smile on her lips as she saw what the other woman was suggesting. "Perhaps...after they've left."

Turning the Jin, Mei tilted the Kage's hat on her head, allowing her a clearer view of the man. She'd noticed the Shinobi providing assistance to those downed by the the Black Rain, and thus was able to push her worries aside and focus on the matter at hand.

"You're...awfully familiar with this man..?"

The Yuki Head seemed to be privy to information that no one else in the Mist had. Information that, in Mei's opinion, could've further mitigated the damage caused by the masked man's attack if it had been shared with the village.

Hinagiku

"Hoho~?"

Hinagiku's chuckled. She knew where Shura was, and Furijia was not with him. That meant the clans man in question was Sagiso. She was curious as to how to situation had played out, but now was not the time to dally. From what she knew of her daughter..."They'll head north..."

Considering the members of her own team had headed north, it seems things would all come together, as if by some hand of fate.

"How...lucky..."

Hina knew that Sagiso would head north because the northen island was the Island Sagiso had been assigned to scout. That meant it was the island the girl was most familiar with, and for the Nadeshiko kunoichi would without doubt try to hole up within familiar ground rather than wander around in unknown territory.

Returning her attention to Kakashi, she summized her thoughts;

"I had split up with my team. It was more efficient for covering ground. I had covered the southern island, while the lot of them headed to the north. Both Islands have already been searched in their entirety." While the Hyuga Mistress may have been whimsical, it couldn't be said that she didn't put out results. Even without the Jinchuriki approaching her team of her own accord, they still would've found the girl today as there was only a single island that they had yet to search.

"That being said, including the island you were on, this is the only island left unsearched. The Jinchuriki...was here..."

Stroking her chin thoughtfully, she continued. "The Jinchuriki seems to have befriended by team, and they now travel northward. My daughters will also likely be travelling northward, so I would suggest we do so as well. Shall we depart? We can exchange information while we travel."

Taiyo
The Leaf-nin was watching Hinagiku and Kakashi converse, not paying full attention as he was not asked to. Although when Hinagiku began talking about what her own team has accomplished, that grabbed Taiyo's attention.

Damn, I don't know who this lady is entirely, but she gets shit done!

Sounds right, and we're gonna compliment her on this fact when the time comes, but for now, we have to regroup with our allies.

Taiyo gave only a nod after the Hyuga mistress presented the idea of regrouping, despite the fact that it would have little to no presence in deciding any further actions.
Tsuki
The Yuki-nin wasted no time in asking her question once she got the permission to do so, "So, you know how when you licked me and healed my wounds, I was wondering how you did that. Does your saliva have wound-healing properties or is it something else?" It then dawned on Tsuki that the nature of her question was rather unusual, so she was compelled to say something in order to make sure Hyo knew that she wasn't trying to be insensitive, "If this is too personal of a question for you, then I don't expect an answer, and I will apologize for my rudeness," As she finished asking her question, she turned to Hama whose mood seemed to have suddenly changed from cheerful to hostile in a moments notice.

"Hama-sensei, what's...wrong..?" As Tsuki was asking the question, her attention turned to the black cloud in the distance, clearly out of place for the weather, "Hama-sensei, what is that thing?" Her voice became concerned as she stared more at the black cloud, there was something eerie about it, something that sent a very sharp chill down the Yuki-nin's spine.

Whatever it is, it can't be good...
Seiun
His fixation on his newly acquired ax was broken when Kai decided to question his experience in using one.

I mean, c'mon, I've murdered people before and sometimes, you gotta use what you've got, so why the hell do you think I don't know how to use one?! I mean you're right, but still, you insult me!

"Nope, kinda just threw it at him and he died," Seiun replied with a deadpan expression, which didn't stay for long as he set his gaze upon the black cloud of doom that started to loom over the unknown, giving the atmosphere a new level of gloom.

"So...anyone know what's going on over there?" The Lightning Rouge seemed curious about the black cloud, much like Tsuki was, but for opposite reasons. While the Ice Queen seemed to be scared of the cloud because of the danger it seemed to impose, Seiun was drawn to it for that very reason.

If whatever that's over there is dangerous, then that'd be a good time to test my new toy.

N-no way!
You got to be kidding they got it!?
Needlessly to say Hinagiku's report had come as a shock to Sakura, both internally and externally. The Jinchuriki had ended up falling into their lap, and without a fight if Hinagiku's account was to be believed; not that shehad any grounds to dispute it.

It was simply unbelievable. A feeling shared by Kakashi, though as his slight eyebrow frown seemed to signify it had been for a different reason.

"I see. Well good to know your team's venture here has bared fruit. A shame fate seems to have chosen the reckless to reward. Might encourage bad habits." Kakashi said, with a subtle critique that was enough to cause Sakura to raise an eyebrow. Seemed Kakashi had reservations on the idea of a Jonin instructor leaving her team to fend for themselves even if the results seemed to go in her favor....on this occasion. Irregardless....

"So, do you presume that your team will head North with your clansmen? Figure it would be wise to join back up now that the Jinchuriki is among their party given it is bound to inevitably attract curious eyes." Kakashi asked Hinagiku; he had stopped flipping through the pages of his novel though had kept it open even as Kakashi had his focus on Hinagiku.

-------------
"Oh good. So maybe you can direct us in a path away from this action so we can slip on by." Tayuya replied as despite her hot tempered nature she was not battled crazed like say Kidomaru and had a preference to avoid any "action" Shura believed was further ahead. Takato seemed to share this thought though would allow Shura to continue to lead them.

Though in spite of their success so far, Takato could not shake the feeling the rub was about to be pulled from them...though he naturally hoped it was just usual pessimism.

Reaver nodded with what Azumi said, silently walking away from the meeting and toward his badly damaged room. He had his worries. His latest suit was totaled due to his suicide attack against Baiyan, leaving him in a very vulnerable position. That added on to the fact that his chakra pool was rapidly deteriorating the further time he was without his drugs. Of course there was no chance in hell he was going to tell Azumi he was weak or what he could do to help.

Tightening his fist, he grabbed the two Reaver suit hands he recently fabricated, the only parts he could replace in time. This wasn’t going to be easy, as he had already cut his chakra reserves in half due to the time he was without his drugs. If it continued this way...Reaver would only be able to use floating spoons.

........

“....Of course...”

Kai sighed at seiun’s response. He shouldn’t have been surprised by the missing nin’s Explanation. For once he thought he actually mastered some kind of art.

Hama continued to look at the black cloud, almost making it to the island via her ice bridge she was passively creating. Seiun and Tsuki both asked her a question, one that peaked Kai’s curiosity as well.

“Retribution, my dear Tsuki.” Hama chuckled to herself. “At least in one’s point of view. Pop quiz class! Who is the Greek god that represents terror?”

Sagisō & Furījia

It was an odd feeling...riding a bird that is...

The Hyūga sisters had currently crossed the stretch of ocean that separated Islands beta and gamma. They had mounted Furījia's latest summon the Filolial K'waule (Pronounced: Ku - A - Lay). The thunderbird had hastened their journey as it ran at speeds neither Sagisō nor Furījia could sustain.

They had sped across the waves, kicking up a fierce wake. In time, they have arrived on the Northernly island, and remaining mounted, the began to traverse the forest. Ideally, they could find a safe position to settle down and plan their next move.

Safety was, however, a fleeting concept. Sagisō's eyes furrowed as she looked behind them. An incessant cackled rose above the thunderous drum of hooves and piggish squeals.

Soon after they'd breached the island they'd been targeted by...that.

Riding a Hog-drawn chariot was a whip-wielding woman, cracking her weapon against the ten warthogs that pulled her chariot. She was scantily dressed, in some ornate armor which didn't seem to provide the best coverage.

Sagisō shook her head, keeping her eyes focused on the forest ahead. "
sigh...why do we always get the weird ones..?"

Hinagiku

"They've already begun heading north, so it's likely we'll reconvene there."

The Hyūga Mistress shrunk in her skin, Kakashi's gaze causing her to quiver all over. Her face was somewhat bitter, and she took a step back, covering her breasts with one of her hands. "Right...let's keep those curious eyes on your book, shall we?"

It was difficult for the lady to think otherwise when the man stared at her so intently, his porno-mag in hand.

"Fortune favors the bold, and I trust that they can handle themselves for a short while." She seemed to pause at that, hesitating. Shifting her eyes between Kakashi's porn-mag and his intent gaze, she spoke up. "That type of boldness is sexual harassment though...but I suppose I should give them some insurance."

Biting her lightly, she swept her finger across, collecting some blood. "You can head back now darling~"

The leaves of the forest shook lightly in response, and a short, cute, cry was issued as Hina's summons, hidden nearby, returned to its residence.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

Pressing her hands against the air, she released the summoning jutsu. Before the smoke had even dispersed, a silver flash darted from it, and onto Hina's outstretched arm. Like a silver lightning-bolt, it'd whizzed to a position atop the Hyūga Mistress' head in an instant.

Nine wave-like tails fanned behind Hinagiku as her Kitsune Furīsa, relaxed in a manner similar to the Hyūga Mistress' own whimsicality. Tickling the fox's nose, Hina pointed northward. "Take care of them, won't you?"

There was hardly a moment's pause before the Kitsune cooed a response. Sniffing the air and transforming once more into a silver bolt, Furīsu shot off into the distance. The fox seemed to know where the group was even without being told.

Hyūga Prison ~~Flashback~~

Shura had been 100% right. Prison duty was quite dull, but more often than not, there we no prisoners to guard and thus the guards didn't need to be cooped up in the backwater section of the Clan. It was only when idiots like these three went breaking the rules that they were given work.

That being said, the fact that their leisure time had been cut into was the fault of the three children before them. Needless to say, the fact that one of the problem children was now bringing up the problem they'd caused in the first place left the guards in no mood to entertain them.

Giving Shura the stink eye, the guard merely bit back, "Bath quickly, light out in ten."

Hyōryugetsu

"Oh...That's simple. I guess you can call it my Kekkei Genkai. It's a drug called Saigenzai, I can produce a medical version of it called Kotarō within my body. It's a strong hallucinogen though, so breathing it in its pure form can induce drug-based genjutsu."

As if to prove her point, Hyō coughed out a purple cloud that smelled faintly of caped jasmines.

Fishing around in her pockets, she pulled out a bundle of herbs. "It comes from these plants, commonly found around the Howling Wolf Village."

Right as she'd finished, Hama threw out a pop-quiz and Hyō, almost reflexively, answered. "Terror is the Son of War & Lust, Deimos!"

Baiyan

Silently following Azumi, Baiyan also made her way downstairs and settled down on the porch. "We can leave at your leisure, I have no opinions on the ma-"

Her words ceased as she sensed something. Approaching from the woods and making no attempt to hide-

"Elder Sister Lin Chong..?"

With a figure sculpted from ice, the abrupt visitor was like a moving glacier, her voice a light snowfall. "Xiao'er, we need to speak."

Furrowing her brow, the Sword star stepped to the side with her elder sister, the Majestic Star. They didn't move very far, still within earshot of Azumi. The Majestic Star questioned, and Baiyan answered without hesitation. She seemed to only be concerned with what customs the Sword Star had observed while she'd stayed in Takigakure, things rather commonly known about the village. Though the words Hero's Water came out numerous times.

The questioning session was short, hardly even 5 minutes later the Majestic Star departed.

Tilting her head curiously, Baiyan 'saw' off her sister.

Koki'o

Poor proportions..?

Koki'o's eye twitched offensively, eyes Madoka with faint ill-will. However, red as a candied apple, the girl wasn't making a very convincing display of being unaffected by Kokio's poor proportions. Smirking smugly, she watched as Madoka left and then brought back...

"A...towel..?"

'Wait...why didn't just give back my clothes?'

Reading into the situation, it was the obvious conclusion that Madoka wasn't quite willing to part with Koki'o's clothing, or perhaps the sight of Koki'o's mostly unclothed body.

She was clearly just shy! No, wait!

Upon closer inspection, it appeared that Koki'o's clothing had been reduced to bundles of strings and cloth. Madoka's chakra threads had unraveled them at the seams.

While the whole scenario was cute in its own way, it was a bit too early for the Nadeshiko Kunoichi and she couldn't muster the energy to pursue an attempt at teasing. Instead, she spread the towel out along the ground and then lay back down.

“Aha, right you are Hyo~” Hama smiled. “The weapon of last resort in a war, Deimos in mythology was stated that his name alone would bring out true horrors in the minds of those who heard it, let alone faced him on the battlefront. Interesting, no?”

Kai had no idea where she was going with this, nor how this had any relevance toward the black cloud in the distance. One thing he DID know however was that the black cloud seemed to be back towards the mist village. If he didn’t know any better, he would think it was hanging over the village itself...

Hama set foot on the new island’s beach, her ice bridge finally coming to it’s destination. He breathed in a lung full of air and exhaled. They had made it

Shura looked back at Tayuya as she made her comment about what he had said. "Well you don't have to worry about that. The thing died down and we were no where near it in the first place." Shura explained while letting out a breath. Still having his Byakugans active, Shura scanned the surrounding of the new island they had just arrived on. There wasn't much going on in their new environment, all except for one particular event that was happening further inside the forest. Shura saw Sagiso along with Furijia on the island who were currently being confronted by... honestly the weirdest thing he had seen so far on the mission. “Well, that’s not something you would expect to see very often.” He thought to himself, referring to the odd old woman on a chariot being pulled by a group of warthogs. “I’m going ahead over that way, if your going to come along then make sure to keep quiet.” Shura declared before running off in the direction he saw Furijia and Sagiso.

Damos walked with the floating prison where the jinchurki was kept, along with Misa toward the edge of the village. Damos appeared yncaythed throughout the entire battle, not so much as a wrinkle out of place on his cloak. Nearing the edge of town, Damos walked passed the fallen guards he previously taken out and made it toward the bridge of the final gate. After he crossed the bridge it would officially be outside the parimeter of the mist village. Damos seemed unusually calm and composed, as if it were just a Sunday stroll compared to a heist on the entire mist village.

The Yuki were all across the mist’a Grounds, collecting up more and more fallen soldier and guards, bringing them towards the medical ward. It had seemed they had already crafted a protocol for this exact contingency.

........

Team sound had bided their time, searchinga cross the island, but it had seemed the webway network Kidomaru had crafted had gotten no activity during the whole hour. Sakon looked onwards toward the sea.

“No bites on our web? We set them up everywhere, there’s no way they wouldn’t have bitten by now.”

“Heh...maybe they all got scared and left.” Zaku snickered. “I say screw ‘em, we just need to find the girl.”

“I’m guys?” Kou pipped up. “Maybe they know?”

Kou tugged on Zaku’s shirt, pointing over toward the island ahead. Catching a tuff of pink hair and a familiar puppet armed ninja, Zaku frowned.

“So it’s the idiot and pinky, leaf ninja. Tch. Figures the leaf always comes when they hear power.”

“And maybe there might be a method to the madness...” Kidomaru assessed. “Look there.”

To the right, Hama and team mist had arrived on the same island, seemingly at a similar time as team Kakashi. This was a curious thing, two teams arriving at the same time, from different villages?

“Such a coincidence...” Sakon pondered. “They just know the jinchurki is somewhere over there. I’m certain of it.”

“Well then, should we go pay them a visit?” Zaku smirked.

The team nodded in agreement, outside Kou who was unsettled at the whole situation. The team pounced into action, jumping onto the water. Chakra began to light up around their feet, all except Kou, who desperately held on to Zaku’s back while staring afraid at the water.

And they were off, darting towards the island. Zaku, who was heavier than the rest while also carrying Kou had to pump out some airwaves from his tunnels behind them to keep them moving up to speed

Katsuo

"I understand your reasoning Mori, and its good to see you in a positive mindset, but thats not the mission at hand. If 'King Mori' causes another issue, we'll have to destroy him. Things are gonna get pretty gritty, and he could very well compromise the mission with his shenanigans." The young traveling ninja mouthed under his breath, giving Mori a quick pat on the shoulder whilst sliding his canteen back into place among his supplies.
"So uh, Lady Guren...theres quite a high chance we'll run into a number of obstacles today. You wouldnt happen to have another plan in mind youve yet to mention, would you?" He asked with a small smile and a slight shrug of the shoulder, knowing for a fact Guren had been awake the previous night brewing ideas in her limited free time.

Guren

"....well....yes." The Crystal-nin replied in a rather stoic voice, glancing up at Katsuo as she finished putting away her belongings. She seemed to take a bit longer to reply than needed, almost as if she was not focused on the question at hand.
"Ive had something in mind for awhile, but it will take a lot of cooperation to perform properly, so I hope you three are ready." She tacked on as he took a knee, placing both her palms flat against the earth as she did so.
"Hm.....as expected." Guren muttered, her eyes fluttering as she tuned into the vibrations in the earth around her.
"Its just like before, large amounts of unnatural movement amassing from one location in particular." She assessed the situation, giving each squad member a quick nod of confirmation. If that wasnt enough, those vibrations were growing stronger, meaning whoever is causing them, is getting closer with each passing second.
"Right, we've got some enemies moving in towards us, but there not moving very fast, which gives us time to prepare." The elder shinobi paused for a moment, contemplating a decision before locking eyes with each of her three squad members for a moment, a toothy grin forming on her face as her sight danced across of each shinobi briefly.
"First things first, lets move to a....more suitable location....."

~~~~~
After a few brief moments of preparation, Team Iwa was standing on the shoreline of there respective Island, awaiting the arrival of rival village shinobi, or even worse in order to intercept there target. Each member of the squad, including Lady Guren herself, looked as if there entire bodies were coated in a thin, glossy, purple shell. Said shell didnt appear to hinder any of the teams senses or movement, only giving them each a vague violet-pink tint as a noticeable side-affect. Lady Guren stood at the front of the pack, staring dead ahead at the somewhat distant island grouped with the one they had been residing on, and the opponents that would soon be visible.
"They'll have to cross over via water, sky, or ground, and we'll be able to pick up on them no matter the method they choose. The only problem may reside in numbers and general experience...but then again, these kids are pretty impressive." She thought to herself, taking a quick glance at her squad members, the recent battle with Absurd giving her a trickle of reassurance in there determination.
"Perhaps I shouldnt over-analyze it this time...."
Furīsu
White Stripes in the Waves, the Kitsune crossed the water with little issue. She would adjust her direction from time to time, each preceded by a small sniff of the air. As soon as she'd landed on the island, she dove into the forest, shuffling between trees and sliding under bushes. She was close. She could smell it. Just ahead of her was a group of five; Tayuya, Takato, Shura, Kiro & Henshina, but she was only concerned with one of them.
Bursting from the forest-line, the Kitsune observed the quintet. She sniffed the air once more, and then her eyes locked onto Takato. Without hesitation, she darted, heading straight towards the Nara. She aimed to scamped up his feet and scale his body, settling herself into her lofty perch atop his head.
Kiro had been caught off guard by Shura’s sudden departure. He was distracted by the omnious, black clouds in the distance. It was too far off to be of trouble for them but Kiro still had a strange feeling. That’s why he actually became concerned when Shura just abandoned the team.
“What the hell? Did he just run off on his own?” Kiro questioned to no one in particular. Shura had the byakugan and it was clear he saw something. But for some unknown reason, he decided to keep the information to himself and leave them. Did he not know how detrimental that could be to a mission? How it could jeopardize the team? Now they had to follow him without having any clue on what they were heading into. It could be an enemy trap for all they knew and Shura could be heading straight for it. He was certain these basic principles of mission procedure were taught in the Academy.
Sighing, Kiro took a brief moment to contemplate what their next action should be. He looked at the clear, blue water from the ocean they had just ran across for an answer. What he found was a kitsune. The little creature ran up to the group, seemingly without a care in the world. Against his better judgement, Kiro decided not to act and watched as it scurried over to Takato.
“Uh Takato, you might want to be careful with that animal...”
Well, this mission had only gotten more and more annoying as it progressed. First Shura decided to, like the other Hyuga to this point, leave the team randomly to go off on his own then this random fox appeared from nowhere and had been quick to make a home on his head. Something that caused Tayuya to snicker.
"Well, seems we had a team substitution. Ah this is proving to be such a fucking disaster maybe we are just being set up to fail." Tayuya said between laughter as it seemed this team had no organization or leadership to speak of. Which given Tayuya had made her ninja life as part of a cohesive well oiled unit the irony had not been lost upon her. Takato had a scowl as he glanced up to see the fox while he simply shook his head.
"Well, guess we have to regroup and come up with an idea now." Takato mentioned, and the worry he had been left alone with two prisoners had not gone unnoticed.
Once everyone had gotten used to their wings, Darui would join up with the group as he himself transformed into a native little bird of the island and with a nod would lead the group as he flew up. Aisha, Sky & Luna (Despite their initial struggeles) followed suit along with Kenji who would make certain to pace himself with Aisha.
The plan was to fly above, to the tip of the air wherever AIsha would still have the scent of the Jinchuriki even in her bird form, and fly from their island to the next. This method would increase their odds to get to their target without the risk of bumping into teams along the way and if gave them a great view of the island for tactical purposes.
Or just to enjoy the view, as Aisha had while she sniffed with her eyes wide.
Madoka decided not to address Koki'o's glare at her for her comment or the fact she casually laid on her towel as she focused on taking the bundle of threat that had been her clothing and used chakra threads to try and repair it quickly.
"Well, seems you two are comfortable." Pakura said with a sly grin as she noted Madoka & Koki'o's rather interesting positons which only caused a visible scowl to appear as Pakura's coyotes appeared alongside her having returned from her scout.
"Well, we found nothing on this island. But a faint scent was picked up so it'd be wise to get going. Well, after you change~" Pakura said simply as she was eager to get going with a refrence to Koki'o's clothing or rather the lackthereof as Madoka let out a sigh.
"I'll have it done within five." Madoka replied to Koki'o and Pakura though she had wondered if Yasu returned yet or not. Pakura turned to the new arrival at camp in Sema and had an eager but curious grin.
"Oh, did Lord Kazekage send for backup?" Pakura asked Sema.
Well, I have to admit I didn't see myself wearing this today. Wonder if Guren has ever had anyone but her wear this before?
Tomiko stood, in her rather new unique if not decorative attire, that Guren had provided for them as they waited on the shore for whatever team would come their path. Seemed they had shifted from a search and retrieval mission to preparation for all out war though that had not stopped her from making some preparations. Even if mostly mental...
She used her seismic sense to get a scan of the field; obviously there was the shoreline that underneath had some places ideal for tunnel work. Plenty of natural Earth to use slightly further into the land right by the shore. At the moment she sensed nobody close by but she trusted her Jonin's instincts though would be mindful to keep an eye on Mori during all of this as she whispered to Guren her own ideas of how to use the setting around them though in the end would follow the Jonin's wisdom.
"I would like to presume you have greater exceptions of me in spite of my choice of literature. I happen to read for the story..."
"LIAR!"
"....anyway. There is a fine line between "bold" and "reckless" that we should be mindful of. Lady Hyuga." Kakashi replied matter of factly but he would move his eye away from Hinagiku given her presumptions about his gaze to her earlier.
"Indeed. That is a lot of trust, and given what I've read about you I presume you've taken precautions even with this careless face value method of yours. But there is something you can never fully account for....leaving such unique personalities alone in a tense environment might lead to things going beyond your script. I suppose I should ask if you can tell me if your team managed to stick together if nothing else?" Kakashi asked naturally curious since given Hina's confidence he presumed she had a fair idea of where her team had been. Sakura watched the fox dash off ahead which raised questions of her own.
I-I didn't think the Hyuga had fox summons...
Given this woman I wouldn't be shocked by anything she does or has.
Hinagiku
"The situation has already gone beyond my script," The Hyūga Mistress laughed, admitting to her fault. "But I can be there in a heartbeat if things truly go south. However, that is the least of our worries."
She held out her open palm, her five fingers blocking the early morning sun. "The Mist..."
She pushed down her first finger. "The Sand..."
A second finger went down."The Sound..."
The third fingers dropped. "I have personally confirmed those three teams."
Wiggling her fourth finger, she dropped it as well. "With this being their Jinchuriki I refuse to believe Kumo isn't here."
She looked down at the four folded fingers. "Including us, that makes Four of the great Nations. Do you think Iwagakure would miss such a gathering?" She slowly lowered her fifth finger, signify that she believed all Five Great Nations to be gathered here.
"Throwing in the Sound there are six major shinobi powers on these Islands, and they all arrived at the same time. Coincidence?" She stepped across the beach, kicking up small sand-clouds. "Perhaps...but I think not."
Kicking a rock into the Ocean, she questioned. "Who benefits the most from this situation?" The question was rhetorical.
She turned to Kakashi and his cute little team members. "Think carefully. All Five of the Great Nations have been attracted to one spot, and that slithering Snake has also found his way over here."
She paced the beach, allowing them some time to think. She didn't allow them much time, and she clapped her hands together to grab their attention. "Let me change the question~"
With a grim smile, she approached Taiyo, leaning over slightly, she flicked him on the forehead. "Who do you think...is in the most danger?"
Turning to face Sakura, she answered her own question. "The Jinchuriki...right?"
She stepped backward, the playfulness drained from her voice. She shook her head solemnly and continued. "It's us. We're in the most danger."
As if anticipating confusion, she spoke up. "Why, you might ask?"
"It's simple really. We sent two teams. All the other Nations have sent only one. That makes us the biggest team and also...the Biggest threat."
Locking eyes with Raiku and speaking softly, she quoted;
"We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Only our interests are eternal and perpetual, and in those interests, it is our duty to follow
- Remarks in the House of Commons."
Picking up where she left off, she explained. "At this moment, the greatest threat to the interest of all the other teams is us. One on One, we would crush any of the teams sent by the other Nations. We know that, and once they see us together...so will the other teams."
Hina settled her gaze on Kakashi. "There are no eternal enemies. In the face of interests, rivalries can be put aside."
"A single moment...that's all it would take. An agreement between our enemies to put aside differences for...15 minutes?" She chewed lightly on her lip, her expression betraying her unsettlement. "For a village already understaffed, losing such a force as us...you understand the consequences...right?"
"Flyers, directions, and illustrations of our target..? This is bait. A trap designed for us, and we walked into it without a second thought."
She paused once more, "Seems far-fetch, yes? I would've thought so too...but..."
She closed her eyes, savoring her thoughts. "The Jinchuriki's actions confirmed it."
Gritting her teeth with anger and derision, she hissed. "You can't honestly believe an almost perfect Jinchuriki, trained meticulously by Kumogakure would act like a retard and get all chummy with the people trying to kill her? There's no way such an idiot would've managed to live this long!"
Swishing her sleeves decisively, Hina concluded. "She's the bait. She brings the whole plot together. With her in our hands, all the nations now know exactly what to look for, and in targetting her they'll target us!"
"Time is something we don't have, we need to gather our wits...before it's too late." Her voice was icy as she pulled a small compass from her sleeves and handed it to Kakashi. "This is one of the insurances I had in place. It's synced up to my chakra and will direct you towards Takato Nara, who is holding a tag infused with my chakra. I don't need it since I can sense the location of the chakra, but it should help us reconvene faster. You all should head towards him and I will meet you there after gathering the rest of my children. Godspeed!"
Cloud Traversing Steps! Utilizing her unique speed-boosting jutsu, Hina surfed across the waves like the wind. She was lighter than a feather and was drawing power from the gusts and waves that stirred the ocean. Because her technique utilized the forces of natures in the waves and tides, she'd barely used any chakra to activate the technique, merely applying earth chakra to lighten her body.
Seconds later she tore through the waves and arrived at Island Beta. As soon as she landed on the beach, she noticed a team of four, their bodies glistening with crystalline armor. Her eyes narrowed.
This had confirmed it. Rather than just suspecting they were there, she now knew with certainty that Iwa was present.
Her eyes shifted from Tomiko to Mori, then to Katsuo and Guren. She had little recollection of the first two but recognized the second boy as the one who'd faced her daughter in the Chūnin Exams. Though even he only held her attention for a few seconds.
Snickering lightly, she quipped. "It's nice of you to be a lighthouse, but be wary you attract the wrong attention." She was making reference to the fact that they, quite literally, sparkled in the sunlight. Standing on the beach as they did, they literally shone like lightbulbs.
Caring little for their sparkly display, the Hyūga Matriarch waved to the team and begun strolling away at a regular pace. Veins crept across her face as she wielded the Byakugan, and following the sensation of her Chakra embued in Takato's tag, she locked onto his position.
Zooming in, she found him, Kiro and Tayuya, and of course, the Jinchuriki. She, however, also caught a glimpse of Shura as he rushed off into the forest. 'He's headed..?'
Shifting her gaze over, she picked up on Sagisō and Furījia. She shook her head lightly and resumed her casual walk. She did not walk towards either Shura or Sagisō, but instead, she walked toward a point somewhere in the middle. Judging by their speeds, they would meet up there, and that would save her some trouble.
Koki'o
"Take your time~"
Clearly, in no hurry to get dressed, the Nadeshiko kunoichi flipped over allowing the sun to warm her back. She released a purr of contentment, and disregarding everyone around her, seemed intent on going back to sleep.
Yasu
Just as the shifting desert sands, the Shinobi of the desert were completely unpredictable. When Yasu returned how was greeted with...suntanning? Laid out on a towel, stripped down to her underwear, the latest -err, one the latest- addition to their team soaked up sun-rays without any regards for his presence. Tactfully choosing to ignore this little oddity, Yasu scooted over to Pakura.
"No people in the vicinity, but there are traces of people. Seem to have left quite recently"
He thought back to the campfires he'd come across, their ashes still warm to the touch.
