Eva thinks she's the best. Cody thinks he's the best. They both will battle anyone to prove their worth. Even though they are similar, Eva will think Cody is just too overzealous in proving himself, even though she has a little bit of that in her system. Eva is also extremely sassy and will call anyone on their bs.

Ahh I see. That sass will take a bit before triggering him into likely battling her to see if she can back it up. He also tends to tire himself during training sessions every night, so his pokemon will usually improve quite a lot between days, but at the expense of him being extremely tired and likely not able to command his pokemon in his peak condition and awareness.

The posts of the battles are quite long, should be able to fit in about 2 -3 in the next one, posting them in smaller parts so its easier to digest and for that people want to react or do anything in between they can.

@Frontier Master its alluding to the conversation that happened between Sylvia and Chu

<Celeste and Ceres>
"Yea, exactly those, so right now among the Spire Masters, we got Ajax as the Doubles Battle specialist and Ceres as the Full Battle <6 on 6> specialist. That's all we have in terms of specialists." Celeste explained, "For the ones that don't have a specialization we can just carry on doing with what we have been doing, which is basically doing any type of battle we want so long as the challenger accepts the terms. I guess that's sort of a down side to specialize, you basically have to battle in your specialized type of battling against all challengers. To my understanding at least." Celeste watched Doom with a slight smile, she began to wonder how Kayo and Doom would interact, but ultimately decided against it. Kayo would most likely end up seeking help from Sylvia or hiding by Celeste trying to avoid the Dark Pokémon.

"That sounds about right." Ceres confirmed. "Oh, and hello there. I don't believe we've met before, I'm Ceres Aeons." she held out her had after Luna had settled down into his seat.

"Just passing time with idle chitchat, relaxing before things get crazy tomorrow and onward. How have you been Luna?" Celeste leaned back in her chair.

Sylvia stared blankly at Chu for a few seconds occasionally blinking, <Oh, right... I mean she does have a rhythm... sort of, but it's not good, and its only an offensive rhythm. Kari has a very rudimentary and limited grasp of Battle Momentum and Rhythms. I'm, not sure if Shade knows about this and taught it to you guys yet, but I'm referring to the battle momentum and rhythm of a match. For example, if a Pokémon is on the offensive then they will naturally dictate the offensive rhythm of the battle, and you'll have to go with it or eat a very strong attack in the Spire Masters case often times its enough to win the match, but if you bide your time and manage to ride your own defensive momentum and when your defensive momentum overpowers their offensive momentum, that's when you can effectively counter attack and steal back the offensive momentum then you can dictate the offensive rhythm and it will give you a change to land powerful attacks to damage your opponent. It's like a dance you have to keep up with, it's mentally very stressful for the trainer and on us as well to constantly keep this balance and dance in a way.> Sylvia wrapped her ribbons around Celeste's wrist again since she was done eating.

<Battle momentum and battle rhythm is probably something out of your understanding right now. It's a newer concept that Celeste has pushed out into the Pokémon Behaviorists field of study, it took her nearly a decade to find the proper way to transcribe it into words. Obviously there is much more that I won't go into details about, but the paper is published in the Pokémon Scientific Research Journals if you want Shade to read up on it to get a good better concept of it!>
Sylvia smiled and continued. <Once Shade starts challenging Spire Masters more and more, she will naturally start to see it sooner or later, she's super smart so she should catch onto it in no time. The hard part comes to mastering it properly, which can take several years of battling other trainers and training specifically for this. Sparring in the team, against your trainer, or against wild Pokémon sadly does not work, as this type of training can only be provided by trainer vs trainer battles. But trust me, once you learn it and and stack your own strategies on top of it, battling against a trainer who doesn't know is laughably easy... kinda like watching a newly hatched Pokémon trying to attack. It's the reason why some challengers of League Champions get utterly crushed while others stand a better chance, subconsciously all trainers pick it up bit by bit in varying degrees, they're just not aware of it, Champions and Spire Masters are just people who have mastered it.> Sylvia concluded as they were joined by Helbram. Sylvia waved at him with a spare ribbon before wrapping it back around her. She felt her eyes get heavier and yawned. She leaned against Celeste's leg for comfort.

Talking about the overall flow of a battle (offensive and defense) and the ability to accurately read it, understanding your own rhythm and momentum and reading the opponents as well, allowing the reader with a reliably high accuracy to read and predict counter attacks from the defense or limit their defensive options and if the reader can withstand said counter attack from the defender without losing their own offensive momentum or get overpowered and suffer heavy damage.

I mainly put those in since both Celeste and Ceres' teams utilizes these techniques, and it's easier for me to write the battle accordingly.

Celeste and Ceres's battles when examined can be seen more as a volatile intense mind game of the two battling Pokémon trying to gain total dominance over the other. A push and pull and building tension. They constantly throw and trade powerful and fast attacks but they are able to deflect or counter each with minimal to no damage to themselves, until one messes up, miss-positions themselves, or basically exposing anything the other can use to get the upper hand, and when that happens it usually results in one of their teammates being knocked out since when they capitalize on a mistake it is completely overwhelming, maximizing their attacks in rapid succession with very little to no room for counter attacks, as was the case between Lucario and Dragapult.

Lucas and Celeste got out-read by Snips and Ceres. The Copycat Phantom Force that Lucas attacked Snips with put him into a bad physical position that allowed Snips to grapple onto him via his tail. Naturally Lucas would use Protect to mitigate damage from the followup attack, but instead, Snips used Thunder Wave, negating the Protect since it does no damage and paralyzed Lucas, then after that Snips utilized Thunderbolt, and super charged it into Thunder, forcing Lucas to take the full damage of each of those attacks, at that point, Lucas had lost the battle, even if he managed to get Heal Pulse off it would have be an extreme uphill battle to win and banking on Ceres and Snips making a mistake while battling flawlessly themselves.

With how the Spire Masters are, their battles tend to be very quick and advantages shift quickly. Getting knocked out from a single mistake is common place, they may appear to be brutally brawling and trading flashy attacks, but when one of them gains the upper hand over the other, the execution of taking down the opponent is done with surgical precision, leaving very little chance of retaliation.

TLDR: When I mention the Battle Momentum Shift, is basically who has the offensive advantage.

If you got more questions please ask. Its easier for me to explain it by answering questions lol

@Condor, you mind if I timeskip Talia a bit? We can say it was a draw. Sorry, I fell really far behind due to personal happenings.
They haven’t been on in almost 3 weeks, so yes you can XD

I haven’t been reading over the RP nor am I relevant at this point in time so I don’t know if the context allows it, but you could just skip to the end of the fight and conclude it ambiguously, “That was a good match,” leaving it unclear whether it was a win, loss, or draw.

@The Legendary Trainer at the highest level of competitive Pokémon battles I'd imagine it to be as such. But as you said, it usually means that a battle is over, especially when its the offensive power houses of each team that was battling it out, but recovering and winning is not completely unheard of, it’s just very rare and extremely difficult. On the flip-side though, if one of them had a more defensive and tanky Pokémon out or if they had access to their full team, the entire dynamic of the battles would change and the pace would be much different, because this is an exhibition match for them so they're just having fun. It’s not often that they just have their offensive core Pokémon duel each other at full health without external support like entry hazards.

@EeviumZ Also, yes, he's not been on for 2 weeks I'd assume you can move on

Battle Style is how your character commands their Pokemon. Like with Ceres using her Ocarina to command her Pokemon, Sheila (one of my characters) speaking in Pokemon to command them, or Shade (one of my other characters) letting her Pokemon fight brutally with minimal to no command on her part.

Plus, you didn't describe how you got the Z-Ring and you need 6 Pokemon.

Also, Sheila is a champion of Galar, as well XD as she had beaten the champion, but at the age of 17? To be a champion?

Sorry, we had a talk a few pages ago about age and whether being a champion/gym leader had an age limit. XD

Like I said, we had a discussion about age and being a gym leader/champion.

It's one thing to beat the champion, it's another to hold a position. Most people here are above a certain age.

Getting a Champion win is fine but not as a job

Just to explain about being a Champion and having beat a Champion.

This quote was pulled from a character being 17 (after an edit) where they were a Champion instead of having beat a Champion.

Name: Neon Barry
Position: Battle Spire Participant
Title: Kalos League Victor
Age:20
Gender:Male
Height:6’01
Hair Color:Jet Black With Blue Tips.
Build:Tall and slim, not really a bodybuilder/muscular guy, but has visible muscle, like an athlete.
Eye Color: Dark Brown.
First Pokémon:Lucario (Was Riolu at the time)
Birthplace: Lumiose City
Occupation: Trainer and Adventurer.
Likes: His pokemon, battling, winning, and making friends. Is also particularly fond of yelling “LESGO” after winning a battle.
Dislikes: Losing, bad people, and getting interrupted when he’s in the middle of something.
Fears: Spiders, and losing people and Pokémon he cares about.
Appearance/Accessories/Clothing: Neon wears a black jacket with a dark blue shirt underneath. Wears black sports pants with two dark blue lines running down each leg. Wears black tennis shoes with dark blue soles.
Has sunglasses that are usually on his forehead. Has a backpack with all the essential trainer supplies. (And food and water and stuff he needs to survive but eh) Has a watch with a key stone embedded in the center, attached to the minute and hour hand on his left hand. (Admin Approved) He has a Z-Ring in his right.
Badges: Bug Badge, Cliff Badge,Rumble Badge,Plant Badge,Voltage Badge,Fairy Badge,Psychic Badge,Iceberg Badge, Galar #1-8, Alola Island Challenge Completed.
Achievements: Won the Kalos League, has also beat notable trainers like Red,Blue, and Green.
Personality: Energetic And Fun, this jokester is always excited and ready to go. While he is normally joking, he can turn dead serious when he needs to, normally in a battle he is losing. He is also very intelligent and quick thinking. He is smarter than about 3/4 of the people he meets.

Battle Style: Depends on his opponent, although it is usually either hit-and-run tactics, or hitting them with everything he’s got.
Background: Was born in Lumiose City, surrounded by Pokémon, which he grew up with and loved tremendously. His father gave him the key stone he uses to mega evolve with Lucario. (Again, admin approved.) He set out on his journey, catching his Pokémon along the way, and winning the Kalos league, however, despite beating the champion, he didn’t want the responsibility of BEING the champion, so he didn’t become the champion, however, people still think very highly of him.He also went on a vacation to Kanto at a time, and beat trainers Red,Blue, and Green. Another time, on a vacation in Alola, he participated in the island challenge, and won.

Pokemon Team:

Species: Lucario
Gender: Male
Position On The Team: Ace Pokemon.
Ability: Inner Focus.
Personality: Calm and collected, like the yin to Neon’s yang. Faithful and loyal to Neon. He loves the team legitimately, and will do anything to protect and help them. Lucario was the first Pokémon Neon ever got,so, naturally, he has the strongest bond with Neon, communicating without words, performing actions that they both agree on without even discussing it, etc. While most would assume Pokémon on his team like Slaking and Charizard would be more powerful than Lucario, he is actually very well the strongest Pokémon on Neon’s team, earning him the title of Neon’s “Ace Pokemon”. In Galar, he was very well able to hold his own against Dynamax/ Gigantamax pokemon. As a matter of fact, Neon was able to beat gym leaders, up until Gordie, without Dynamaxing even once, thanks to Lucario. That’s no easy feat.
Held Item: Lucarionite, in a steel arm band on his left arm. (Admin Approved)
Signature Combo Move: Aura Blast
Notes: Much taller than the average Lucario, standing at 5’11, and 6’03 when mega evolved. He is also overall better than the average Lucario, being much stronger, faster, and more durable .
History: When Neon started his journey, he obviously needed a Pokemon , so he looked around in the Route next to his house. He found an egg by a tree, abandoned, so he took it home. A few days later, it hatched into Riolu.
Neon used Riolu in most of his beginning battles, and they grew a strong bond. Eventually, he evolved into Lucario. Neon and Lucario's bond continued to grow more and more every day, until, like the are now, they were inseparable and had the strongest bond possible.
(I'll put how they got Lucarionite later, when I'm feeling up to doing all that writing.)

Species: Charizard
Gender:Male
Position On The Team: Destructive Dragon
Ability:Blaze
Personality: Similar to Neon,Charizard is fiery and loud. He tends to get carried away in battle. The loud jokester on the team, usually there to lighten the mood. Although, sometimes, he disagrees with Gigalith and they tend to fight. He is pretty reckless in battle, usually not caring that if he gets hurt or not, which is why he usually shrugs off the damage from things like flare blitzes. He is Neon’s travel Pokémon.
Held Item:Charcoal, wears it around his neck as if it is some sort of medal.
Signature Combo Move:Searing Blaze
Notes: Can fly much faster than the average Charizard. He is also taller, standing at 6’10.

Species: Aegislash
Gender:Male
Position On The Team: The Stubborn Knight
Ability: Stance Change
Personality: Aegislash is a trooper in battle and never gives up in battle. He has fantastic instincts and always knows the right time to switch forms. He usually blocks attacks quickly, then quickly changes forms and delivers devastating attacks. He is not a force to be reckoned with and usually makes quick work of most Pokemon, especially ones based on raw strength. Outside of battle, he is very friendly and calm, and communicates well with other Pokemon and is nice to humans. Out of all Neon’s Pokemon besides Lucario and Charizard, he is outside of his pokeball the most in public.
Held Item: Spell Tag, taped to a small, barely visible necklace he wears.
Signature Combo Move: Knight’s Blade
Notes: Surprisingly fast for an Aegislash. His shield is also tougher and his sword is also much stronger. His magic is also more powerful. (Better offenses and defenses, both physical and special.)

Species: Slaking
Gender: Male
Position On The Team: The Lazy One
Ability: Truant
Personality: Slaking is a special one. He isn’t any old Slaking, he is extremely powerful and strong. The only thing that holds him back is his laziness. He is usually jolly and friendly, and, of course lazy. In battle, he loses the jolly and friendly attitude for an “I don’t care about you at all” attitude. He shrugs off most attacks, and then absolutely destroys his opponent with his incredible power, unless he just isn’t feeling up to it and loaves around.
Held Item: Leftovers, he usually just holds it in one of his hands.
Signature Combo Move: The True Power Of Laziness
Notes: MUCH stronger and more durable than the average Slaking. Also, when standing on his legs, and not laying down, he stands at 7’01.

Species: Gallade
Gender:Male
Position On The Team: The Valiant Warrior
Ability: Justified
Personality: Gallade is very noble and proudly fights with Neon. His fighting style is similar to Aegislash's, but a bit different. He quickly rushes in and hits his opponent with quick and strong attacks, then falls back and guards. He also acts as a secondary Ace, and is usually Neon's go-to pokemon if Lucario faints somehow. Note that this doesn't mean Gallade is stronger than Lucario, he isn't. This is not Gallade's only job, it's more of an extra one, as he still is one of the most picked pokemon on Neon's team. He is very friendly outside of battle, and often gets along well with other psychic types and fighting types. He also gets along well with Gardevoir, whether they're male or female.
Held Item: Odd Incense, in a container strapped to his waist.
Signature Combo Move: Slash of Justice
Notes: Gallade stands at 6'01. His attacks also tend to pack way more of a punch than normal Gallades. He is also more durable to physical attacks than most Gallade. He is also faster.

Species: Incineroar
Gender: Male
Position On The Team: Pro Wrestler
Ability: Blaze
Personality:He is strong and merciless, he will repeatedly bombard the enemy with punches, kicks, and even dive bombs. (Which he does by jumping in the air, then crashing back down, covered in flames, which is basically a Cross Chop combined with a flame charge/flare blitz , but Dive Bomb is catchier) However, he really loves Neon and the rest of the team. He can get real intense in battle, similar to Charizard. The crowd can also affect him, if there is a crowd, that is. If the crowd is entertained or excited, Incineroar tends to do better in battle. However, if the crowd is bored and not entertained, then Incineroar tends to falter in battle. Sometimes, although it rarely happens, If Incineroar gets REALLY excited, he won’t really listen to Neon. Although, Neon usually doesn’t mind, as Incineroar can definitely handle himself in battle. Incineroar also is very flashy and charismatic, easily entertaining the crowd and pulling of poses with Neon after landing powerful and/or super effective hits. He also has a gentle side, and is very good with young children and small Pokémon. He will even straight up play around with young children and Pokémon. (Example: Playing tag with 6 year olds, or letting bird Pokémon rest on his head and arms.)
Held Item: Incinium Z
Z-Move: Malicious Moonsault.
Notes: Faster and Much Stronger Than The Average Incineroar. He stands at 6’04.

“Benched” Pokemon That He Can Switch Out With His Normal Team:
Species: Lycanroc (Midday)
Gender:Male
Position On The Team: The Quick
Ability: Sand Rush
Personality: Lycanroc is very loyal to Neon. He would follow him to the ends of the Earth. Lycanroc is very quick and confusing in battle, quickly running around his opponents and confusing most of them. While they’re confused, he usually strikes with devastating and strong hits. He is very friendly outside of battle, but usually in a calm and cool way, like a mature dog. He is only playful and not calm when with Neon and the team, nobody else.
Held Item: Lycanium Z
Z-Move: Splintered Stormshards
Notes: Much Stronger, Faster, and more durable than the average Lycanroc. (All forms.)He also has more fighting spirit than the average Midday Lycanroc.

Species: Greninja
Gender:Male
Position On The Team: The Ninja
Ability: Protean
Personality: Greninja is usually silent and, well, ninja like. He is usually somewhere in the background when the rest of the team is interacting with someone else or each other. Although, it is shown that he still loves the team, as he always participates in the team bonding activities that Neon makes the team do. Also, if he comes out of the background and interacts with people or other Pokémon , he is actually really nice. In battle, he toys with his opponents by making copies of himself, then attacking before the enemy can react. He is also really good at close range duels.
Held Item: Expert Belt
Signature Combo Move: Night Shuriken
Notes: Much more durable than the average Greninja. He is also much stronger and faster.

Species: Cinderdace
Gender: Male
Position On The Team: The Speedster
Ability: Libero
Personality: Cinderace is very confusing in battle. He uses his great speed, strong legs, and great core strength too feint and confuse opponents, then deliver very strong blows with his powerful legs, strength, and fire abilities. Outside of battle, he is energetic and fun to be around. He also practices his Pyro Balls at least once every few hours, and never skips leg day.
Held Item: Black belt, simply tied around his waist, but it is barely visible as it blends in with the fur that is in the same spot.
Signature Combo Move: Extreme Flames
Notes: Much faster than a normal Cinderace, he can run at insane speeds. He is also stronger and more durable.

Species: Nidoking
Gender:Male
Position: The Aggressor
Ability: Sheer Force
Personality: Nidoking is very aggressive and cruel in battle. He rushes his opponents, attacks with very powerful attacks, then knocks his opponent away with his powerful tail if things turn for the worse. One of his strongest attacks is Poison Jab, thanks to the Sheer Force, Life Orb damage boost, and STAB, most Pokémon are screwed after two or three of these. Outside of battle, he is nice enough. He communicates well with other Pokemon, especially those that are the same type as him. He is also nice and caring to Neon and the team.
Held Item: Life Orb
Signature Combo Move: Toxically Tectonic Terror
Notes: Stronger and more durable than the average Nidoking. MUCH faster too. Stands at 7’07.

Species: Gigalith
Gender:Male
Position On The Team : The Ruthless Rock
Ability: Sand Force
Personality:A very sturdy and usually calm pokemon, however, if he starts losing, get’s one of his moves interrupted, or an ally faints in a double battle, he will become ruthless and destructive. He is very kind at heart, and cares deeply for the team. Usually the one to stand up for them against mean Pokémon, or, rarely, humans. However, sometimes he and Charizard will disagree and get in a fight. Easily one of, if not THE best tank on the team.
Held Item:Hard Stone, glued to his chest, as he never seemed to want to take it off, even when sleeping.
Signature:Combo Move: Ruthless Rush
Notes: MUCH more strong, durable, and taller than the average Gigalith, standing at a whopping 7’05.

Species: Alakazam
Gender:Male
Position On The Team: The Fatherly Genius
Ability: Magic Guard
Personality: Very intelligent, far more so than any other Alakazam, with an IQ well over 8,000, he calculates everything that happens, and everything that COULD happen in a battle. He hatched from an egg that Neon found. He is the wise one of the team, and usually acts all knowing, like a father. He even acts like this to Neon sometimes, which, can actually be reasonable and needed.
Held Item: Focus Band, wrapped around his right arm.
Signature Combo Move: Psycokinetic Wrath.
Notes: Like mentioned previously, much smarter than the average Alakazam.

Pokemon That Tend To Sweep (Aka Most Raw Power): Lucario, Aegislash, Charizard, Slaking, , Cinderace, Incineroar, and Alakazam.

Pokemon That Are Almost Never Defeated and Rarely Used In Casual Battles: Lucario,Aegislash, Machamp, Greninja, and Slaking.

Fastest and Most Confusing Pokemon That Are Rarely Hit: Lucario, Cinderace, Lycanroc, Greninja, and Alakazam

(As you can see, Lucario is kind of the G.O.A.T)

Alright, think that’s it, MAN that took a while.
( I know I've made a lot of changes to Neon's team, but I've made sure the pokemon I get rid of HAVEN'T made an official appearance in Roleplay. YAY! I have successfully made the pokemon’s personalities more detailed.)

@Captain Pokémon It may not be my place to say this, but we've had several conversations recently about beating a champion versus being a champion, especially with respect to age. I'd say that a 19-year-old champion is pushing it a little bit, but again, you'd probably have to ask @Foxex.
Well, if we’re going to be like, anime logic, Ash is like, 10, right? Look how far he’s gotten.
Besides, as long as they aren’t like, 14, isn’t it about the trainer’s skill and Pokémon, not their...age?

The point that has been made is that, realistically speaking, the role of champion is probably far more than just "sit in your room and beat everyone who challenges you." They likely have some authority, being the strongest trainers in a training-focused society, that most people wouldn't be comfortable handing off to a teenager. Also, as far as I can tell, Diantha has been pretty firmly established as the Kalos Champion in this thing's story.

Position is whether or not your character is a participant at the Battle Spire or is a Battlemaster.

Also, Ash technically should be 18 years old or around 20 by the time his adventure ended in Alola. But he stayed 10 for out-of-universe merchandising sakes.

Also, all champions are at least above the age of 21, lending to their constant training and job as the region's champion and the region holds them in a position similar to a president (in the US), the prime minister (UK), and other things.

It's okay to beat the champion and not take the role as champion. My characters beat leagues but that doesn't mean they stayed champions.

Yeah, that’s what Neon did, he beat the champion, just didn’t want the responsibility to BE a champion.
