"Too easy to block."Kilka's water clones stopped the shuriken, but she soon noticed the punchs coming at her."Wait,so you actually had the courage to aim for something else!?"Kilka said in shock as the punch hit her.She was shocked that someone actually had the courage to attack her instead of backing down. That hurt,he's gonna get it whether he wins or loses,no matter if i have to attack him after the exams,Kilka thought. She managed to block two of the punches, but the others hit her.

After confirming with the proctors that he could indeed leave, Yasu left the tower and returned to the center of the village. He would be staying here for a month, and he already had the perfect place to train.

It struck him in his initial fight with Zaku, but he was completely outclassed. His techniques countered Yasu's perfectly, and if he couldn't find a way to get over those sound waves then he was done for. Firstly was the problem of his Feather Darts being blown away. Chances were if he was gonna win this fight, he would be using his sword. So it was time to focus on some sword techniques. Secondly, he needed a way to counter the waves that would be pushing him back, which luckily he felt he had an idea for. Lastly, and most importantly was the sound waves that had blinded and deafened him previously. The way he was looking at it, his options were get over the blindness, or have an attack ready to clear the entire arena.

This is gonna be a tough month, better get started as soon as possible.

Kiro curiously watched as Orochimaru whispered something into Zaku’s ear. He could’ve sworn he heard the word ‘Uchiha’ mentioned, but he didn’t say anything. They did seem like they were taking about him and Kiro did want to know what it was about. From the corner of his eye, he saw Madoka leave the arena. He also took notice of the girl, Azumi, who was watching them from the balcony. Kiro wondered how long had she been there. However, his thoughts were cut off when Orochimaru started to walk up to him with a smile that gave him an eerie vibe.

Kiro was not expecting that response he received from Orochimaru. Was he being serious about giving his vote? Kiro couldn’t tell through the snake’s impression. However, Kiro was also unsure how to take his compliment. “Thank you I guess.” Kiro thanked Orochimaru. He watched as Zaku tailed Orochimaru and stood next to him doing some type of pose. It was clear that he truly respected Orochimaru. Kiro just didn’t understand why, other than the fact that he was Zaku’s sensei. ‘What game are you playing?’ Kiro wondered as he continued to watch Orochimaru carefully.

A bracket appeared in front of them showing that most battles were completed. Hashima sighed and then looked back at Sakura. "Sorry, looks like there's only two fights left... and I don't really know those people. I'm gonna get going, bye," she said quickly before beginning to leave. Raiku began leaving as well, and as he was heading down the floor he saw a familiar looking person with long hair talking to Kiro.

Interesting... I'll have to take note of that. Could it be he's trying to persuade him to join that village? But why that guy... there's something special about him. I'll have to keep an eye out...

Then he left the entire building with his father, around the same time Hashima left the building once granted permission.

“But before then, I would like to have a word with you, perhaps in a more private area.”

Orochimaru smiles as he brushed past the Uchiha, Zaku close in tow as they branches off into a secluded area within the tower, a corridor that seemed dark and off to the side. It was as if it was off limits or not finished yet.

Zaku looked up at his sensei, seeing that the Sannin knew what he was doing, and trusted his judgement. Zaku and Orochimaru disappeared beyond the hall, as if to beckon the Uchiha to come after them.

.......

“This ones awake.”

Kai awoke, a medical nin near him, healing his wounds he had received on his chest. Kai blinked, watching as the ninja did so.

“....unhand me Xeno.”

Kai batted away the medical ninja’s hands. The ninja was shocked to say the least, but did as instructed. The doctor acted like he would have put up a verbal fight, but due to the death glare from Kai, decided against it. Kai was bruised all over, and felt humiliated he had lost. But he had some twisted gradification that Sagiso wouldn’t be as lucky to recover as quick, if at all.

A bit suspicious, Kiro watched as Orochimaru and Zaku walked into a secluded area in the tower. Kiro knew he shouldn’t be following the two but something beckoned him to go with them. Kiro would never know why he did, but little did he know, it would change his life forever.

Kiro slowly took one step forward to test his mobility and it seemed he was mobile enough to walk. With that, Kiro started to go down the dark corridor Orochimaru and Zaku had went through.

As Kiro followed, Orochimaru chuckled, echoing throughout the deserted hall. There were four pillars standing up in this hall with a space between them that seemed made of stone. Orochimaru and Zaku turned around when they met the sight.

“So you’ve decided to come, good....” Orochimaru licked his lips. “You have quite the odd past done you? An Uchiha of the leaf, finding himself in the bussom of the mist, not feeling too loyal to either of them...is that right?”

Suddenly, two figures came from the shadows. One a girl and the other a boy, both bearing sound headbands. The were on the other side of the middle section between the pillars, looking onwards as Orochimaru continued.

“What if I could show you a new way? Show you a path where you could find purpose. Along the path will also be littered with prizes, not only that, but I will guarantee you...” Orochimaru learned in close to the genin, whispering his finishing words. “Power beyond comprehension.”

Azumi had followed Kiro into the same location he followed Zaku and the Jonin. Azumi kept to the shadows as she aimed to listen in to the conversation. Azumi had trouble making anything out, given she had kept herself at a distance to avoid detection herself, though she had heard one or two key words among this Jonin's offer. One was the word "Uchiha", which seemed odd considering Kiro was Kiri-nin while Zaku was an Oto-nin. Though one word stood out.

Power.

Azumi had little knowledge of the context, though those words had an effect on her. But a different She needed to gain strength in order to change Amegakure. Her god had saved it from being buried in the asks of the great ninja wars. However, Azumi desired to advance her nation to the same level of those among the Big 5. To flip the balance of the Ninja World so that her nation would never be subject to those horrors again. And power would help her achieve her end, there had been no question about that. Though Azumi decided to try and listen in to see if she could make out any other key words during this conversation between the Jonin and the other Genin.

------------
Sakura had been disappointed, but understood Hashima's point as she said her goodbye. With nothing better to do, Sakura began to walk out of the arena though she had just as quickly been met by Ino who gave her friend a hug.

"You were amazing out there. I know you'll get through next year." Ino said as encouragement to her friend. Sakura smiled in response.

"Thanks. Let's both do our best to advance next year." Sakura said, before she thought something over. Something that concerned Kenji, and this subtle expression change as Sakura focused on that thought had not escaped Ino's notice.

"Something wrong?" Ino asked as Sakura realized Ino had noticed her shift and turned to her with a sheepish grin.

"Oh, sorry. Just this guy I teamed up in the Second Exam, Kenji, was really beat up when I brought him here. I figured regardless of whether he won or lost he'll likely be in the hospital. Just hope he is okay." Sakura admitted as Ino gave a nod before she gaze her friend a teasing smirk.

"Oh, sounds like someone is quite worried. Did someone find love in the Forest of Death?" Ino replied in a teasing tone which only caused Sakura to chuckle as she rolled her eyes.

"Ino, we're not little girls at the academy anymore. Not every interaction with a guy means I am into him. Besides you were normally the flirt of the class anyway." Sakura teased back as Ino gave a chuckle of her own.

"Got me there." Ino said with a amused tone before she though over what Sakura said with a bit more serious mind-set before she came up with an idea.

"Well, why don't we pay him a visit? If he is there. We could even stop by our flower shop and pick something nice out for him. No need to worry about paying, it's on the house." Ino offered with a smile which caused Sakura to smile back.

"Thanks, that means a lot." Sakura said as the two soon departed and began their trip to the Yamanaka flower shop.

Kiro wondered what was so funny that it even got the snake laughing. He was about to speak up when they finally stopped. Kiro took a moment to silently observe his surroundings. There were four pillars standing up in the hall with a space with a space between them made out of stone. Kiro wondered what that was for, but he didn’t question it.

When Orochimaru started to talk about the Uchiha bloodline, as well as his loyalties, Kiro became interested in how he seemed to know so much. He did take notice notice of the two figures in the shadows on the other side of the pillars.

‘Purpose?’ What purpose did he have in this world? ‘Path?’ What path would he take to serve his purpose? ‘Prize?’ What would be his reward for the path he took? No dreams could ever be achieved in this world. That was unless one had the power to make their dreams a reality. Kiro had slowly started to understand. All his life, he had witnessed the weak perish while the strong lived on. The shinobi right next to him held power greater than he had ever faced. Kiro wasn’t even sure if the Mizukage could beat this ninja.

Kiro looked down at the palm of his hand. If he wanted power, then this could be a great opportunity, and one that he wasn’t about to waste. A small grin started to form on Kiro’s face as he formed a fist with his hand. He raised it a little as he started to speak. “Power beyond comprehension...” Kiro paused as he looked up at Orochimaru with a determined look in his eyes. “...sounds like a power worth wielding.”

Orochimaru’s grin widened immensely, the predator’s eyes eerily leering at the young Uchiha. Two fangs seem to protrude from his mouth, as he leaned in toward him. Eyeing him up and down as he withreated his head

“The powers of Earth and Heaven, within two separate seals. I would never dare put them in one person. The sheer power would kill you.” Orochimaru said, backing up toward the altar. “Seperate but equal...that’s when they can by used to their true potential.”

Zaku immediately knew what he was referring to. Curse seals?! He is thinking about giving the newcomer a curse seal?! He couldn’t wrap his mind around Orochimaru’s reasoning. He had to object.

“O-Orochimaru Sensei, do you really think that-“

“Hush Zaku, you want your gift don’t you?”

“Gift...?” Could he really mean...?

“Happy birthday Zaku.”

Orochimaru had NEVER celebrated his birthday before, it was a shock that he even remembered his birthday. Amongst that, such a big gift, the greatest honor in the sound, and from someone who saved him from being beaten to death on the streets as a kid. It filled Zaku up with gratitude. Tears welled In his eyes, but he won’t dare shed one.

“Thank you...Orochimaru Sensei...!” Zaku said, trying to keep his voice calm.

Orochimaru walked right into middle of the altar, beckoning to the both of them with a Single finger. Zaku withou heistation walked into the altar and brown before his Kage, as the two figures behind them stepped forward, a foot behind Orochimaru.

Azumi's eyebrows frowned as she saw the Jonin, rather creepily, grin as it seemed whatever he told this Kiro guy he had given just the answer he wanted to hear. Due to her distance and desire to keep herself concealed, Azumi could not make out most of what was said. Though two words managed to stand out.

Earth.

Heaven.

Azumi had no clue what those were in reference towards, though whatever they were it seemed to please both Kiro and the Oto-nin Zaku who seemed to almost cry for joy as he called out the name of the Jonin. As she just barley managed to pick it out among the other unclear dialogue. Which caused everything else to slow down as the name struck a cord with her.

Orochimaru!? One of the Konoha-nin who fought Hanzo the Salamander and lived!? Who attacked Amegakure during those days of war!? Why is he affiliated with Otogakure!?

Azumi's desire for power that this Jonin offered seemed to clash with her resentment towards the man behind the offer...if this individual was in fact who the Oto-nin claimed to be.

Azumi decided this was too much for her to stick around, though had to know what else was bound to happen. So without uttering a sound above a whisper she generated a water clone and had it stay to observe what was to happen while she herself dashed silently out of the passage and made it outside.

From there, Azumi headed to Konoha and decided to think this over as she moved towards the market for a supply run.

Kiro eyed Orochimaru with keen interest as the snake leaned in closer to him. He noticed the two fangs but didn’t suspect them of anything.

‘Earth and heaven...’ Kiro thought as he listened closely to what was said. Two boundaries that should never be broken, let alone put together. ‘The power that I could possess...’

Kiro’s eyes immediately turned to Zaku’s direction when he heard the name ‘Orochimaru.’ ‘So that’s his name.’ Kiro had heard the rumors of a certain ninja known for his experiments as well as his malicious ways. Kiro slightly grinned when he put the pieces together. He was standing right next one of the most infamous ninja in the world. Yes he was a criminal, but if one of the legendary sanin was willing to give him power, then Kiro would take it. “That power, give it to me.” Kiro spoke up as he walked forwards. Kiro unconsciously let his desire for power control him rather than the more calmer, smarter part of his mind.

“Good boy, I expect to get a return on this investment soon enough as payment for this act of generosity.”

Orochimaru cupped Zaku’s face, as well as Kiro’s. His wide grin got inhumanly wider as his neck cracked and snapped, stretching toward the two boys. His fangs protruded like a snake as he bit into Zaku’s neck first. Zaku winced as his master did so, the fangs then leaving the now open wound, a thin tattoo like marking was left over, three curved markings around it. Orochimaru then turned to Kiro, chuckling to himself as he then bit into his neck. The snake ejected the curse seal onto the boy, taking his fangs out. This seal was thicker than Zaku’s, the theee curves were black with a circular end curving towards the middle.

Zaku panted, trying to endure the pain he just had to face as drops of his own blood hit the altar floor. Kin grinned begin Orochimaru at the sight of the two before her. The other figure behind Orochimaru seemed to be unreadable. Orochimaru withdrew his neck as his head snapped grossly into place once more.

“Kehehe...it is done.” The snake sannin said. “Zaku, you will control power of the earth seal, to master this would be to master yourself and your inner workings. Take care to not lose yourself or you may end up losing your life.”

Zaku couldn’t quite put together his master’s riddle or metaphor, he couldn’t tell. He only winced at the burning pain at his neck, gasping a it. Orochimaru turned to Kiro.

“You Kiro, have been given the heaven seal. Your power will shatter the sky and pierce the heavens.” Orochimaru explained, his eyelids blinks from the sides. “That is...if you have the strength to get that far. If your body proves weak, your seal may reject you, killing you painfully. But if you survive...well...it will be interesting to find out what happens, don’t you think?”

Azumi's clone watched on. Until it dispelled, Azumi would have no way to get the information it observed as it watched the proceedings. Though it was a case where this needed to be seen to be believed.

This guy just...bit them. His neck elongated like a literal snake and bit the two before he rambled on about something the clone failed to make out in detail. It presumed that it concerned whatever these Earth and Heaven terms had been.

Though based on the words of what it could make it, it appeared to be some sort of power trial. Or at least it guessed that was the case. Though there seemed to be some risk to it, but what that risk was eluded her. So it continued to observe from the shadows in silence.

-----------
Anko Mitarashi, who had been in her office as she enjoyed a good ole meal of dango along with doing some paperwork when, upon a reflex, she clasped her hand over a certain seal. As if on driven by an automatic impulse. Which was ironic since the seal in question was one she'd have rather have forgotten about as memories to its origins only caused feelings of resentment, anxiety and anger to drive through her body.

Man Anko, can't even allow yourself to enjoy some dango in peace? It's probably nothing, though I can't help but feel something troubling is afoot. Man I sound like a loon, it's nothing. Has to be nothing...

“Wait what?!” Kiro exclaimed when he saw Orochimaru bite Zaku’s neck. Kiro didn’t know whether to stand still or get out of the way. ‘No, I won’t back out now!’ Kiro mentally prepared himself for what was about to happen. However, he wasn’t prepared for the stinging pain that came afterwards. Kiro gasped in pain as he fell on one knee. He hadn’t experienced anything like this before. He could feel the blood dripping down from the inflamed part of his neck. But he would have to endure it for the power he hoped to gain.

He would not allow this power to overwhelm him. Death would not be something that would come so easily. No, Kiro would control this power. Kiro took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. Memories of his past flickered through his mind, showing him the pain and suffering he had gone through. He would return that suffering to those that had caused his pain tenfold. Kiro would not allow himself to die here or anytime soon when he still had so much left to do.

As Yukimaru was watching the scene, he remained silent, though he was a bit worried and confused. He could see Kin grinning, though he didn't care as he had quite a couple of thoughts running through his head.

Is he really that special just cause he's an Uchiha? Will he use his Sharingan to control me or the Three Tails? Why did he get a curse mark? Zaku sort of makes sense cause he's been doing pretty well and he's loyal, but this guy is a bit of a stranger? Why is Kin grinning? Why don't I have a curse mark? OK, I need to calm down. I probably don't have a curse mark because it might kill me and a Jinchuriki like me might be too valuable for Orochimaru-sensei to lose. That makes sense...

------------
Raiku began heading back to his house, and once reaching it he began his reading once more.

This is great and all... and I know I'm worried because I failed for being so dumb... but maybe I should focus on other stuff too like getting better at Ninjutsu or using my Sharingan. Hmm...

He closed his book and began leaving his room before he was stopped by his father. "Where are you going? You've been pretty much encased in your room since you failed your Exam, so what now?" Senshu asked, a bit suspicious.

"I'm going to go train so I can get better at using my jutsu," Raiku replied.

"Hmm... in that case, follow me."

Once Hashima left the building, she went towards where she was staying in Konoha. Once reaching her temporary home, she decided to take a shower to clean herself and relax a bit.

Zaku’s vision blurred as he wobbled in place, the wound he had gotten earlier on his leg didn’t help matters much. This curse mark...it really takes a toll huh? He tried to stay strong, as he was before his sensei and Kage, but he couldn’t keep his strength up. He leaned on his good leg shakily, Kin watching his movements, tossing a few needles into them, accurately. The acupuncture needles put Zaku’s pain more at ease, but also made him fall to the ground.

“Tsk, typical.” Kin said eyeing the new curse mark bearer, hoisting up Zaku on her shoulders. “‘I’ll take him back, Lord Orochimaru.”

She moved back From orochimaru, revealing a tattered and broken heaven curse mark on her neck just briefly. Orochimaru grinned as the symptoms of the seal were already going into effect. He turned his attention to Kiro now as his eyes watched the seal carefully, Yukimaru still at his side.

Yukimaru watched as Kin collected Zaku's body and his eyes widened a bit as he could see a mark similar to a heaven curse seal on Kin's neck.

Could it be that a Biju's chakra counteracts the affect of a curse seal? Maybe that's why Lord Orochimaru hasn't given me one...

----------

Hashima eventually finished showering and then changed into a normal, more casual attire. She applied some bandages and the like to help heal her wounds from her previous battle. Then she left her temporary abode and decided to explore the village a bit.

----------

Raiku raised an eyebrow, but followed his father into what appear to be a storage room. There he took out a scroll and opened it up in front of Raiku.

"Here is a Summoning Contract Scroll. If you mark your name on it with blood and place your fingerprints, you'll be able to summon crows. Other scrolls may allow you to contracts with other animals, but this one is for crows," Senshu explained. Raiku nodded and bit hit thumb before writing his name with blood and placing his fingerprints. Then Senshu retrieved the scroll again and gave it to him.

"Keep it, I don't need it. A friend gave it to me, but I never got around to use it. Besides, I use other animals. Now I'll show you how to perform the jutsu," he said. Raiku activated his Sharingan so he can watch his father make the write hand seals. Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram. Then he bit his thumb and placed his hand on the ground, activating the jutsu and causing a small lion to appear.

"I use lions, and although this one is small, the more chakra you put into it, the more powerful the animal will be. I also have a personal summon, though this one is just a random animal." Then Senshu made the lion disappear and looked at his son. "Now you try."

Raiku performed the jutsu the same way his father did, and it summoned a tiny, young looking crow, which caused his father to sigh. "Sorry, it's hard to learn a new jutsu. Do you know anyone else who uses crows?" he asked.

"Well, I believe there are some of our clan members that use them," Senshu suggested. Raiku gasped as two people immediately came into mind, some of his idols from his clan. Immediately he began rushing out of his house, his small crow flying towards him. As he left he stopped as his crow perched on his shoulder.

"Hey! You summon me and you don't even acknowledge me!" it shouted.

"What the- you guys can talk?"

"Is it really that strange? After all, there are a lot of other summonable animals that can speak."

"I guess... what's your name?"

"Kamer, and don't forget it!" And with that the crow disappeared to it's summoning domain.

That was weird...

As hard as Kiro tried, he could not fight the weakness he was feeling. Kiro could tell that it was only a matter of time before he fell unconscious. He realized that when Zaku eventually lost consciousness. It had to be part of the procedure. The only problem was that he didn’t trust Orochimaru to be around his body while he was unconscious. He tried his best to look up at Orochimaru. “Y-you...” However, before he could talk any further, he finally lost consciousness, falling to the floor.

“Even the Uchiha couldn’t fight the strain of the Curse Mark, how interesting.” Orochimaru said, a finger on his chin. “Yukimaru, take him back to his place of residence, I have something to attend to.”

As Yukimaru came over to pick up the Uchiha, Orochimaru leaned over and touched Kiro’s cheek. He tilted his head an chuckled lowly. We’ll watch your future with great interest, Kiro of the leaf. After he did so, Yukimaru was quick to carry him and disappear into he shadows. Orochimaru looked over to the doorway that would lead into the tower area. He saw a small strand of hair poking out where it shouldn’t. Such a novice.

“If you wanted to remain hidden, you may have simply used a transformation jutsu at least.” Orochimaru remarked. “Reveal yourself, girl. It’s rude to eavesdrop you know~”

Azumi's clone observed the rather...frightening procedure. Both Zaku and Kiro had collapsed from the bites which made the clone wonder if Orochimaru has poisoned them. Azumi's clone saw two others carry the fallen Genin away, but it appeared her cover in the shadows had been foiled. In truth, the real Azumi likely figured this was what was bound to happen which is why the clone remained in place. Fleeing now only had the potential to cause problems.

So Azumi's clone emerged from the shadows as she faced the Snake-nin. The one benefit to all this is that, due to being a clone, it would not have the same emotional flare the real one might as she met the individual who may have played a hand in bringing her nation to ruin. So Azumi's clone would simply speak.

"I apologize for my rudeness. Though this seemed like a rather...unique procedure. Had to see this for myself. Though it looked like you just killed them to be frank." Azumi's clone replied, though Orochimaru nor anyone else had any way to know she was a clone as she made that comment as she made that basic observation.

"You expect to little of your opponents!" Katsuo yelled as he weaved some familiar hand signs, three water clones forming around Katsuo. All four dashed around Kika and her clones, closing them in on every side, all mirroring each other by weaving yet another set of hand signs.
"Youll soon what a grave mistake youve made. Water Style! Water Shuriken Barrage!" All four Katsuo spoke in sync, each forming seven water shuriken, twenty-eight in all, which rained down on Kika from every direction, all aimed for weak points along her body.
"And just to top it off...." He said to himself, glancing down at the kunai he drawn from his pouch, which he then launched into the ground only a foot or two away from the real Kika's position, the paper bomb he'd attached to the end of it about to explode. "Checkmate."

“Oh? So you witness it did you? Well now, you do realize that espionage is often punishable by death in some villages don’t you~?”

Orochimaru licked his lips, approaching the girl before him. He circled around her slowly, eyeing her up and down, not shifting from that smile of his that only the snake sannin could pull off.

“Do not worry, they are alive...for now.”
He explained. “You on the other hand, i haven’t made up my mind yet.”

So she saw the curse seal experiment hm? I knew someone was nearby. She’s no jounin, no one could possibly believe in such a low ranked girl of no standing. Killing her would raise more suspicion than keeping her alive, for now.

“Now...Why are you here? Out of sheer curiosity? Or did you simply have a death wish?”

"Sorry, but,i'm not giving up that easily, and i think just what i should of my opponents!"Kilka said as she jumped out of the way and ducked, noticing both the water shurikens and the paper bomb but realising she couldn't avoid the paper bomb and the explosion."I have to admit, you can match me pretty well, and i respect that, but you won't win this!"She said.Kilka threw some kunai at Katsuo. The force of the explosion wasn't all too far from Kilka, causing some major damage to her.Okay,he's definitely getting it after the exam,i really hope he doesn't become a chunin,or even make it to become a chunin,Kilka thought.

Azumi's clone did not seemed phased. Likely due to the limited emotional range clones had combined with Azumi's usual cool focus. Either way her eyes followed the Sannin's movements while her body remained in place as the clone thought over the best way to phrase what she wanted to say without meeting an early destruction.

"I'll admit, it was that at first. Then I overheard the mention of power. Though I also heard the word purpose. Perhaps you asked of them what purpose they had for power. Or that you could provide one for them. Hard to tell, I am merely a Genin. I too, desire power. Though my own purpose is quite known. I just struggle with how I could ever make it happen." Azumi admitted, as she figured outlining her inexperience compared to the Sannin would make him less likely to perceive her as a threat as she glanced back at him.

"I just wonder what your purpose with power is. What you desire?" Azumi's clone added on, though she had no way to expect Orochimaru to make his motive crystal clear. But she had made her own desire for power clear to the Sannin and seemingly gave herself something for him to exploit.

Orochimaru stopped moving right as he made another loop around behind her. He stoooed as he noticed how little the girl feared him. He saw the rain headband when he had identified her. Yet out of such a village, to fear toward him in the slightest, even if he seemed to isolate her from the rest of her friends.

“You...are from the rain.” Orochimaru said, pressing his hand on her shoulder. “It is only natural you’d grasp to power on the likes of your degrading village. To what? Please your Kage? If such a case existed, your loyalty to me would be inferior to your loyalty to such a person hmmm? Especially knowing you nationalistic types...”

His neck snapped and cracked, his head stretching over to face her head inches away from her face, the neck stretching grossly.

“Though if you were truly honest with your intentions, meet me in the place. You know what I refer to.” Orochimaru cocked his head. “Oh and one small thing...don’t send your toy next time.”

With that, the snake opened its mouth and monstrously devoured the clone within his jaws, knowing the memories would be transferred to it’s host when it was finished. When he was done with his meal, he quickly snapped his neck into place, and casually walked out of the tower, disappearing into the shadows just as he came

As Kika's kunai came soaring at Katsuo, his clone quickly jumped in the way on instinct, the kunai piercing its chest, causing it to explode into a pool of water on the floor beneath them.
"Probably not a great idea thrashing that clone, but I cant reveal to much to early, not to mention.....whoever else is in here..." He reminded himself, attempting the search out the small chakra source he could feel beaming down on him from somewhere in the room, he just couldnt pinpoint where exactly, the chakra seemed vaguely familiar.....
He smirked, shaking off the the thought as Kika was caught in the blast of his paper bomb, the shock wave making his clothes and hair ruffle violently.
"Gotcha. She's taken quite a bit of damage from the blast, she's lucky the clones were there to eat up a bit of the damage, but no matter, this can be solved with physical attacks now." The young shinobi concluded, at which point, the two remaining water clones and he charged froward clasping there hands together as they did so, potent amounts of chakra building up in the center of there palms, making them more solid than steel.
"Mountain Shifting Palm Style..." The three Katsuo muttered in unison, two of them attempting to attack her spinal cord with palms strikes at the upper and lower point of her vertibra, whilst the original Katsuo aimed to strike her directly in the chest, his attacks seeming more lethal than before.

After a long and trivial battle, Taiyo finally came out the victor. Lako and him shook hands, both gaining some form of mutual respect for one another.
"I'll be rooting for you dude, you better win this," Lako smiled looking into Taiyo's eyes.
"I'll do so, don't worry," He returned the smile before walking away. While leaving, he did hear some of Orochimaru and whatever he was doing, but he ignored him. He then went to the arena and waited for his opponent to show up

"That's really not fair!Procter!Guy!He's going in for the kill! That's not fair at all!"Kilka said."He's trying to kill me!Shouldn't that be against the rules! If it helps,i'll give up."Why am i scared of him,why am i calling him out for trying to kill me?I'd just do the same, but if i can maybe get him in trouble with the procter,i might be able to win by default,Kilka thought."Please dont attack me anymore!"

Guy looked over to the cowering Kilka, who was calling foul. Is she serious? Is it a type of tactic or?

“Little miss?” Guy said to her. “Killing is fair game, but i’ll Try my best to make sure it doesn’t happen. But are you dropping out? I need to know this.”

The crowd started to chatter and talk about this scenario, the only fight so far that seemed to me ending before it begun. That is, if the news were true.

Azumi, who had finished getting some supplies, froze in place as a wave of memories rushed into her along with the...overly graphic means of her clone being dispelled. Azumi took a moment to process everything before she frowned.

Well, if he is that Orochimaru I figured he'd have caught on sooner of later. So he wants a meeting on his own terms. A logical move to make, won't make it any easier.

Azumi knew that if she were to see the Snake-Sannin again, she had to do two things above all else. One, keep her personal feelings that concerned him to herself. Orochimaru likely would do no business with someone who desired to see his head on a pike. His attitude about her "degrading" village had not helped matters.

Second, if seemed Orochimaru picked up on her pride for Amegakure. Azumi had not shown much, if anything meaningful, as far as her feelings towards Amegakure were concerned. So that meant that Orochimaru had a way of watching anyone through the exams and was able to pick up on subtle hints. Which only made him more scary. So she had to downplay her affection for her "god" and be willing to seemingly better the Snake-Sannin's interests instead. Which she had little idea of what they were, though she hoped they tied with her ambitions however unlikely that seemed.

However, Azumi had one advantage of her own. Given she was "just" a Genin from a "no name" village like Amegakure, Orochimaru had no reason to worry over anything she did given she was so far beneath him as an interest or threat. That meant she had been likely to be overlooked and seen as someone who just is here to represent her people well and be exploited easily enough.

And as much as this one reveled on Intel, Azumi prided herself on taking every necessary caution. So with that, before she set out on her trip to the tower, she headed to her apartment and began to write a letter....

Before long, Azumi arrived at the location Orochimaru desired for a meeting. Azumi had made an effort to come in person as she kept her umbrella on her back as she had no intention to use it. Azumi knew the skill difference between the two and a struggle against him if things had gone south would have been pointless. But she might have needed it for a quick escape, though Azumi hoped and counted on things going better than that. Though it remained to be seen as she waited for the Jonin's arrival if he were to show at all.

--------------
As Sakura and Ino walked to the Yamanaka flower shop they happened to notice another Genin from their presumption arrive at the entrance. Madoka, who had indeed gotten her broken bits of Raven back at her apartment as she had managed to get it put back together and rewrapped it to carry on her back as before. The three glanced at each other as they all made a motion for the door at the same time.

"Oh, sorry. You two can go first." Madoka offered as Ino had been quick to shake her head no on hers and Sakura's behalf.

"No please, the customers should go inside first. Step in and take your time to look around. I got to get behind the counter anyway." Ino admitted as this surprised Madoka.

"You mean you work here? Did you not intend to take the exams, I assumed you would have taken a vacation day or something." Madoka said as Ino had a grin on her face.

"I did, though a friend of mine is in need and hey, I'm up to work even after the exams. Won't let fatigue stop me from doing my duty." Ino explained as Madoka smiled before she and the pair of Konoha-nin exchanged introductions as they walked inside while Sakura & Madoka began to search for suitable flowers as Ino got behind the desk and made preparations both as well as the trip to the hospital that was to come.

----------
Azumi, or rather a water clone she had made with a fair amount of her chakra in an attempt to give it a more "life-like" effect, arrived just outside the hospital. While Azumi had never been one to put social focus ahead of business, she figured she owed it to Sagiso to see if she was alright given she had helped her pass back at the Forest of Death and was someone she considered a friend here.

Azumi's clone asked about Sagiso's room, and was told Sagiso was in a coma due to her injuries. Must have been one hell of a battle, but Azumi decided to comfort her friend eve if she was out of it. So Azumi's clone entered the room and just sat in a chair as she observed her out of it friend from a distance before she pulled out a notebook and began to write in it. Anything the clone had the capacity to think over it would write down just so that Azumi would get these memories when it eventually dispelled. Which given that Azumi's clone had not been in the line of fire this time, should not have been for a fair while.

.......

Rain fell soundly outside, the rain falling down On the female ninja. She was no doubt used to such environments, given she was from the village hidden in the rain. A stranger walked up to her, an umbrella in hand too. The stranger was draped in a black veil, and was tall, with very long black hair. The tall man stopped at her side, not turning her way as the sound of raindrops hummed throughout.

“Hm...so you’ve come yourself have you?” The figure spoke, not turning her way. “Alone as well it seems. You really do thirst power don’t you?~”

........

“Wake up you fool!”

“Kin...your not making this any better-“

“Can it Yukimaru, or i’ll Can it for you!”

Zaku’s eyes blinked open. He was met with Kin and Yukimaru bickering before him. He was lying on a bed, the room he was in seemed near the outskirts of the leaf, a view of the outside gates and trees were visible, so they must have been on the high living areas around the wall housing districts.

“Shut up...both of you.” Zaku complained, wiping his eyes. “Agh...my neck.”

“Get your beauty rest princess?” Kin mocked. “Good. We’ve got work to do. Or should I say, YOU have work to do.”

“Really...? I just woke up, and I’m in a lot of pain-“

“Orochimaru’s orders pipsqueak.”

With that, Kin all of a sudden hoisted him up, much to Zaku’s aggrivation. He dare not swipe her hands away as he didn’t want to feed her murderous side any more than it already was. She brought him out into the pouring rain outside the wall, placing him down near the tree line.

“What are we doin’ out here Kin?” Zaku sighed. “I could be resting right now.”

“Your curse mark must be attended to and nurtured.” Kin pointed out matter of factly. “Both of which I have no interest or experience in doing. So, these guys will take over.”

“What guys- oh not these jerks.”

Kidomaru got angry after that comment and grabbed Zaku by the collar. "Say something like that again pipsqueak and I'll shoot an arrow right through your heart," he said while glaring.

"Hey, you should let him go for now... or something," Yukimaru murmured. Kidomaru grunted and glared at Yukimaru before letting go of Zaku.

Raiku began searching his entire clan area for the two people he was looking for. Eventually about half an hour he reached the Naka River and saw the two people he was searching for training. He gasped before calming himself down.

"Uh- excuse me... can either of you teach me how to summon crows well?" he asked shyly, unsure of what to say.

--------

Hashima left and was walking around the village before noticing her previous opponent in a shop with some other ninja which she presumed are from Exams. She entered and looked around the shop before looking at them,"Um, sorry if I sound nosy but what are you all doing? I'm just looking around and you seemed like you had something planned..."

"Well, I guess I got nothing better to do, maybe I should try training, bit in order to do that, I need some kind of partner," Taiyo began to stroll casually, not having a care in the world, he won his battle, and was one step closer to becoming a Chunin.
"Okay, this is boring, why is nothing interesting happening?" The Kohana-nin groaned, completely unaware to what Zaku and others were going through.

“Tsk, what spider boy? Afraid to be swatted?”

Zaku knew in his state he couldn’t beat the spider sound ninja, especially since his leg wound hadn’t even fully healed yet, let alone the seal. But he couldn’t have his pride stepped on could he? Before Kidomaru could open his mouth, Sakon interrupted.

“I think all this bickering has outlived it’s welcome.” The purple haired ninja said, crossing his arms. “Although your not the caliber I was expecting, I’m sure we can find some strong suit of yours as far as your curse mark goes.”

“You just started bickering there again!” Zaku grunted, annoyed. “And you wonder why nobody likes you guys.”

............

Itachi turned around, mid conversation with his friend as someone else, apparently a fellow Uchiha had came up to them. He was asking about the crow summoning, a jutsu that’s as curious for a genin to learn.

“Crows? Why do you want to summon crows?” Itachi blinked, eyeing the genin up and down. “Moreover, what would. Genin be doing with that technique?”

Azumi, with her umbrella up to "protect" her from the rain not that she had not been used to rain in her life as she glanced at the figure who also came in an umbrella. Perhaps it had been the fact this figure had not faced her or the fact that his question took her focus but with a look of pure fire and determination she glanced at the figure with her fear swallowed as she gave her answer.

"For power I would pay any price and make any sacrifice." Azumi said with a tone that showed she was not lying.

-----------
"Don't be a fucking idiot spider-boy. He dies and Orochimaru is gonna make an example out of you." Tayuya pointed out, as given Zaku had a seal he was somebody of importance within their ranks now. While she still considered Zaku a street punk, he was one with value now and they needed to care for him.

"So you're up sleeping beauty? I hope so cause we have plenty to do and we don't have all fucking day to wait on you. And worry more on that mark than our popularity." Tayuya added with her usual cheerful personality as she kept her arms folded over her chest while she eyed Zaku with that standard glare of hers.

-----------
Soon enough, Ino Sakura and Madoka finished and after Madoka made her purchase the trio began to walk down the street and began to make their way to the hospital with the intent to see their injured friends or allies from the exams.

Kin smiled to herself. Tayuya was the only person the ‘got her’ in a sense. The only person that never wanted to suppress her bloodlust either, and called it like it was.

“You hear that? Don’t keep them waiting.” Kin reinforced Tayuya’s point. “I’m going to go kill some merchants, I leave you in their capable hands.”

With that, Kin sped off, eager to feed her bloodlust. Zaku sweated, as a part of him preferred her over the likes of the sound 4. He turned back to face the four, shrugging as he was previously verbally ganged up on.

“Geez, If your fighting is half as good as your cursing, we wouldn’t need tailed beasts to destroy this village.” Zaku joked, smirking at the four before him. “So what? Are we gonna do team bonding exercises or somethin’? I heard i do good in trust falls.”

“If you shut up, maybe you’d learn something.” Ukon murmured from behind Sakon before Sakon took over the Conversation. “Simple. We are going to force you to awaken your curse seal. If you can’t get it to work, too bad, because we won’t be letting up.”

Zaku smirked, hiding his anxiety over the situation. “So what? I just gotta beat one of you losers with my new power? Can’t be that hard! Now which one of you wants to get beaten to a pulp?!”

.............

“How rare, yet how fitting.” Orochimaru said, unbuttoning the veil over his mouth. “You would make ANY sacrifice?”

Orochimaru looked over to her now, his reptilian eyes locking with her small frame. He got up close to her ear and whispered ever so softly.

“If I told you to destroy that trinket headband of yours, would you do it?”

OOC: lemme know if I need to fix anything with this post @Godjacob, @Shen: Ghost Gym Leader
BIC: While Taiyo was strolling, he happened upon Orochimaru and Azumi, his next opponent. He decided to listen in on the conversation, maybe something could be gained if he stepped in at the right moment.
Seems suscpiscious, I'll stay a little while longer and if things get too intense, I'll run away.

Yukimaru looked anxious and decided to go after her. "I should probably go, too... make sure she doesn't do anything that will anger Lord Orochimaru..." he muttered to the group before leaving. Kudomaru glared at Tayuya and Zaku but snickered at Sakon and Ukon's comments. Then he turned to smile a cocky grin at Zaku. "As if, you'd probably lose control over your body to the curse mark," he said.

--------

Raiku looked a bit anxious, but then calmed himself down.

"Well, it it's just what you said... I'm still a Genin. And I sort of know how to do it... but I'm bad at it. I'm only able to summon weak ones," he did the procedure and it ended up summoning Ramer. "See, he's so weak and small!" he exclaimed. To that Ramer flew up and began pecking at Raiku's forehead.

"Ow, cut it out!" Eventually the crow stopped and Raiku sighed. "And he won't even listen to me..."

“If that’s how you think, why don’t you be my opponet bug boy?” Zaku snickered. “You’ll be blasted into smithereens!”

Zaku got his hands ready, a high pitched sound coming from them. He had no idea how to use his curse mark, or even what it was supposed to do. He just assumed it’d kick it naturally. Sakon smirked in response, turning over to Kidomaru

“Seems like your his opponet Kido, try not to break Lord Orochimaru’s new toy okay?”

...........

Itachi blinked a couple seconds before shaking his head. This boy doesn’t even know the first thing about summonings, why doesn’t he just have his father teach him? I’ve got better things to do.

“You can’t even control that crow, what makes you think you can control bigger or more dangerous crows?” Itachi stated. “If your looking for a quick way to win the exams, there is none. I won’t hand you the key to do so. You just find it on your own merit.”

Itachi turned his back on the boy, slowly walking away from him as rain began to shower down.

...........

Kin started to search for easy prey along the leaf village, spotting several delicious targets. But one stuck out. A boy that was sneaking around. A brawler type by the looks of him. Kin stealthily made it behind the Taiyo, grinning as she could barley control herself.

“Don’t you know it’s rude to eavesdrop?”
