Private/Closed Naruto AU: Roleplay

Almost instinctively, Kiro stopped moving upon hearing the light tone of Sagisō’s mellow voice flow into his ears. The tip of the chakra blade had already cleanly sliced through Kin’s dirty clothing but stopped once it touched her skin. However, even that was enough to draw a tinge of red liquid. The Uchiha continued to glare down at Kin as he quietly listened to Sagisō’s advice.

As she had moved to squat beside him, Kiro had already began to ponder her words. Sagisō had dropped her hints, piece by piece, leaving them for Kiro to find. And slowly, Kiro began to pick them up. Though his actions weren’t exactly rash, he could see the potentially negative consequences that would follow it. Yes he would be graced with satisfaction right now, but was it truly worth sacrificing what he had hoped to gain on this very mission?

Perhaps he had once again let his emotions get ahead of him. Almost costing him once again. But this time, Kiro could see the logic in holding off on revenge for a bit. ‘A chip that can still be used? I see now.’ Though Kin had been Orochimaru’s throwaway piece, that didn’t mean she had lost all her use yet. No. Trash still had its uses. And if Kiro was correct in his assumption about the Leaf, it would be disposed of soon after.

Either way, with Kin now out of the equation, only the abomination remained. Even all the way out by the sandbar, Kiro could feel the cold, ugly power of hate. The power born from the creature’s rage seemed monstrous. The intense pressure of the chakra may have even been suffocating to some. However, Kiro knew that power wasn’t Orochimaru’s creation. The snake had only bred the hatred inside the two jinchuriki. That power came from the beast within, feeding off the unadulterated rage of its weak-minded host.

Letting out an understanding sigh, the Uchiha finally moved his hand away from Kin and allowed the chakra on his hand to dissipate. After that, he turned to face Sagisō with a calm but focused expression. “I think I see where you’re going with this. Being patient does sound like the logical route. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong though. I know you can.” Kiro said this last part in a light-hearted manner, referring to Sagisō’s uncanny ability to read his mind understand what he was thinking at most times.

However, his expression darkened soon after when he looked behind her to see a small figure only a few steps away from them. The girl wore a black cloak which had a red-colored, white-bordered cloud-shaped pattern. “Yo Sagisō, we got company.” Sensing the potential danger, Kiro whispered that warning to Sagisō even though he knew she could probably see with the byakugan. After examining the few details of Misa, his sharingan wandered off in the direction of the man who had chosen to remain still in the water. ‘Is that…?’

Kiro refused to believe what his eyes were seeing. He could see the freakish chakra combined with an extreme level of killing intent that was oozing out of the mysterious masked man in the cloak. The dark swirling clouds overhead seemed to be the same ones he had seen a short while ago. However, it was the murky black liquid that followed the man which caused Kiro to recollect the old, crazy stories he was told in the Mist.

The stories told of dark clouds floating overhead the carnage of countless, dehumanized bodies. Followed by this was the black rain and oceans alongside rivers of flesh and blood. This was the cruel work of a monster made of only blood and bones. It was the being who single handedly slaughtered the Seven Ninja Swordsmen. Dubbed in Mist folklore as either the God of Despair or the Demon of blood and vengeance. That was Damos. Or so the legends said...

The Leaf-nin was caught off guard when Kidomaru shot a piece of web towards his mouth. However, since Kidomaru was currently taking care of Raiku, this gave Taiyo time to heat up his finger to melt the webbing. This also gave him time to notice another Oto-nin approaching, which caused him to sigh in exasperation. However, just as he was arriving, he was caught by a wire as they approached.

Yes! Thank you Mr. Kakashi, now to finish this!

"Flashing Burst Style!" A firey orb began to form around Taiyo, coating him in its red flames until it exploded ane revealed the master of the aforementiones technique now surrounded by a red arua. The Leaf-nin then used his technique to deliever a firey punch to the spider-nin who was attacking the FBS master's companion prior. He was feeling confident, until he turned to see a massive...thing..?

Holy...

Shit...

Tsuki/Seiun
As of now, a wave of emotions was overwhelming the Yuki-nin. At the forefront was shame from not only feeling like she left the other shinobi at the island to die but also from the self rebuking she recieved afterwards. The next layer of thr onion of emotion was fear, obviously dur ti the fact that a massive freak of nature had emerged, seemingly made entirely out of some orange water, which made her queasy in of itself. And finally, she felt a wave of relief wash over her as Hyo was transporting them to a nearby beach. On the other hand, Seiun only shared the last emotion with his mistress. The whip wielder went to check on Kai, who seemed to be in pain, before looking up and seeing a creature of nightmares.

I wanna go home...

The color had drained from her face, but Seiun looked to the same fihure and saw just that, a figure.

"What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost," The rouge inquired, seemingly ignorant to the true danger the team of Shinobi may be in.

“Hey what’s going on? Gyuuki? What did you do to Gyuuki lady?!” Henshina was still trying to reach her Biju and shouted at Guren when she noticed her follow up attack. “Oh shoot!” She said out loud when she saw the crystal user launch at her again before creating a swarm of powdered crystal to sent at her. Thinking quickly, Henshina kicked the withered tree, causing it to start toppling over. While the tree fell, the Jinchuriki quickly began channeling lightning chakra around her body and into her newly drawn blade. Stabbing into the log and releasing a burst of lightning all around her , Henshina aimed to repel the crystal powder then proceeded to spin behind the fallen log in order to escape the her attacker. “Darn it, what would Gyuuki do here? Well he would probably go stop thinking and just run.” She thought. “Stop dallying and run you fool! Is probably how he would word it.” She imitated before starting her retreat. After starting her retreat, Henshina suddenly felt weighted down on her left side and slammed to ten ground. She looked over to it and saw some of the crystal powder had landed on her left arm and leg and had crystallized them. "Oh, that's not good."

Sakura was stunned to hear Kou's comment, the implication that she'd consider going to the sound made her internal personality want to shriek or yell out though Sakura managed to suppress the urge as she papered to word a kind rejection to the offer.

Before that chill shot through her body. That…that sensation, of malice…of death itself which caused her to practically shiver as she froze momentarily.

W-w-what was that?
Whatever it is I think we need to get as far away from it as possible!

-----
Kakashi appeared to have an eyebrow raised in response to why he stopped…then he felt and heard that same monstrous cry a fair but not far enough distance away from them as immediately this sinister presence had been all too familiar to Kakashi as memories flashed to that dreadful day; while the distinct presence had not been identical, it seemed to share the same trait which was enough for Kakashi to know just what they had been up against.

A beast has unleashed itself….this is bad, but not quite Grim yet…

Kakashi had one objective at this stage, and that was to ensure his team made it out alive as his clone already seemed to understand below and quickly dashed over to make its way over to where Sakura & company had been. Meanwhile, he himself decided to take caution even as Sakon announced his intentions to flee as he would work to get over the shock of the presence of that thing and try to bind his hands together and if he had been successful also slap a trigger tag on the binding.

-----
"Ah, just the man I wanted to see."

Sakura had her kunai raised as she was snapped from her daze and turned to see what she guessed was a Jonin from Sunagakure along with a girl and boy who appeared familiar to her among this little party; Madoka & Yasu, but before either had a chance to process that Pakura or rather her clone had her attention turned towards another clone in Kakashi who had just arrived to her area.

"K-kakashi sensei!" Sakura called out as Kakashi walked to his student but also gazed on the Suna team.

"Now then, I wouldn't happen to guess you'd be here on account of...that." Kakashi's clone asked in refrence to the beast as Pakura merely gave a nod.

"Indeed, we have much to talk about but little time for it. So we need to cut to the chase. Where is the rest of your squad?"

------------
As Darui and his team closed in towards where Kin had been tossed, a sudden presence and nightmarish roar caused the group to pause their attempt as they gazed a little ways away and saw the monster appear before them.

This had been enough to cause Kenji’s eyes to widen, while Luna & Sky (Bats they were) growled slightly as animalistic instincts kicked in; the same instincts that screamed at Aisha to get away and get away now. Darui had a lot to think about now, whether to abandon the mission entirely and flee back to Kumo but he quickly decided against that.

If this creature is here, and manages to escape and descend towards Kumo...it could be a national emergency. Not to mention if all of this venture only gains a loss Jinchuriki and nothing more our nation could be vulnerable. This cannot happen, but they are not ready for this...

The situation only appeared more complicated when a trio of Genin managed to beat them to the punch of Kin as one even aimed to try and strike her down before they had been stopped. Darui considered his options as he turned to his team.

"You three, move back and get into a hiding position away from Kin and that...thing. Worst comes to worse be prepared to flee and stick together no matter what. I'll make an attempt to take the Jinchuriki back, then regardless of what happens we head back to Kumo to inform Lord Raikage of what happened. Do I make myself clear." Darui stressed as neither Aisha nor Kenji had an objection as they would lead Taji and the wolves as they flew over to their spot along a trail as Darui landed down as he transformed to normal while he kept out of view of the Genin. Quickly, he shifted hand signs together as he had a rather basic approach to this situation while Kin's body remained technically unclaimed.

Woosh!
From out of the clearing, what appeared to be an unshaven and unkempt homeless man jumped from the bushes as he dashed over to Sagiso and company with a mad, maniac laughter as he seemed unclean and his clothing tattered; a needless addition to the disguise, but overall an eye catcher which had been the point. Soon enough the man closed in, not on the trio but rather the cloaked figure that Darui had also noted among them. One whose presence may have been as troubling as the Tailed Beast if the reports had been read correctly. The man would aim to wrap the woman in a hug if able and if successful and before anyone had a chance to reactl

Boom!
The clone exploded, as black lightning shot out towards the trio in what appeared to be an attempt to stun them with a paralyzing strike. Or rather shock the Akatsuki into submission while scarce sparks would try to stun the Genin. All the while the real Darui aimed to swoop in and grab Kin to try and take to bring back to where his team had hidden themselves.

Hinagiku

In the same instant that the homeless beggar had rushed out onto the water, so too did the Hyūga head.

When she was 15 steps away, the clone exploded into a shower of black lightning. Hinagiku shuddered, an expression of strain surfacing on her face for the slightest of moments. Her mind had fallen to chaos, but she arighted it. Still, it nagged persistently, '—Black Lightning...'

When she was 12 steps away, the aforementioned sparks of black lightning splashed onto her daughter's body, sending the girl falling back into the ocean...sinking to murky depths...just as her sister's had... Her heart trembled, but she calmed it. Still, it thumped painfully, 'Azami, Daria...'

When she was 9 steps away, Darui dropped into the fray. His eyes reflected his prize —the jinchuriki, but Hina's eyes had reflected the symbol on his headband, a trio of lofty clouds. 'Those three piss puddles...'

At that moment her mind and heart were united. The emotions in her heart were given conviction by her mind, and the vessel of her body reacted. '...K͕̙̮̭͜͡i͉͘l̠̲͠ļ͚ ̴̧̥̜̼͙͕̙̣̬͟H̘̪̯̹͙̲̫͢į̷̼͖̪̻m̴̞͍͇̞̱̕͟!̡͙̟͓̼̤͜!̪͙͓̞͢'

At a distance of 7 steps, she'd danced a waltz of hand seals. Corrupted by hatred, a film of black water coated the sand bar her children had been stationed on.

At a distance of 6 steps, Furīsu mewled from Hina's shoulders, her nine silver tails burning with an equal amount of small silver fireballs. With just a flick, the ocean was up in Foxfire, the kitsune's unique blend of fire release and yin release.

Silver flames raged on the waves. In truth, most of these flames were created through pure genjutsu, producing the sensation of heat. Only the original nine fireballs, hidden somewhere in the sea of flames were real, and they had yet to spark the oil beneath them.

At a distance of 5 steps, she flicked a smoke bomb into the air. She knew that in mere seconds, everything would be up in smoke. When the flames hit the smoke, they would kindle a smoke explosion large enough to engulf everything above the water.

At a distance of 3 steps, Furīsu's tails flashed, swirling the sea of fire towards the duo of Jonin in a stream of fireballs, 9 strong. Only 6 of those fireballs were real, but whether real or genjutsu, they all emitted heatwaves like the real deal. The fox's aim was to obstruct Darui just long enough for Hina to grab Kin. While Hina would be able to navigate the sea of fire, Darui would have a harder time distinguishing between real and illusory.

As Hina sought to close the remaining 3 steps, the remaining 3 fireballs that had been created by Furīsu would kindle the oil below them. Truly creating a sea of fire around them, it was then that the smoke bomb would fall into the sea of flames and set off a smoke explosion.

For her part, Hina intended to retreat below, whether she managed to grab the Jinchuriki or not. In the back of her mind, she knew Sagisō and Kiro would be safe, having dodged the worst of the damage after falling into the water after Darui's stun.

In either scenario, using the cover of the explosion she planned to slip away. With the assistance of Furīsu, the heatwaves produced by the explosion would be woven into another genjutsu to conceal their presence via a distortion of images. This would work especially well over the water as all the heat and steam produced by the evaporated water would bolster the genjutsu as well as provide an additional distraction.

(OOC: Alternately, if Kiro wasn't stunned like Sagisō was, then Hina will grab him when she goes down.)

Mei

Getting up from the edge of the walls, the Mizukage's expression was darker than Damos' water. "What a monstrosity..." She watched off the duo with her eyes, knowing that as much as she might want to deny it, Jin had been right. Damos was perhaps, something beyond what they two could handle...but then again, there weren't only two of them, now were they?

Although Damos was beyond them...he was not beyond The Mist...but it seemed such a statement would remain that— a statement.

As the man in question came up behind her to deliver his report, she nodded. "Excellent, let's keep it that way."

The attack had been unexpected, but the minimal damage was to have been expected. For the most part, their citizens should've been safe, and only a few Shinobi who engaged Damos directly should've been infected.

She'd erected an Earthen Canopy over sections of the village from early on to redirect the black rain and the evacuation procedures appeared to have gone smoothly. Swift action had saved them from the worst of it, but the crisis wasn't over yet...in a certain sense, it had only just begun.

Kou couldn’t exactly see how Sakura thought about what he said. She was oddly silent. I mean...it sounds fair. If both sides are there to discuss what they know, the truth will show itself eventually, wouldn’t it? What’s so bad about that? Is she...afraid? Afraid of being exposed as the liar or...something else?

Kou perked Up when suna and Kakashi had arrived at the scene. Too many other nations, especially considering it was a battle zone.

“H-hey...” Kou began to sweat. “Sakura, are we safe?”

.......

Kidomaru had Raiku right where he wanted him. Wrapped right around his finger...this however didn’t apply to Taiyo, who achieved FBD in the nick of time, punching the side of Kidomaru, who barley had time to soften the blow with his plates.

He was sent spiraling off of Raiku, the plates broken and his side heavily scorched and bruised. He spat out a thread to a nearby tree branch, stopping his momentum from being bashed into a tree trunk. That was when he heard a chilling roar, a huge creature, the tailed beast showing up. Kidomaru growled. They failed. It was useless and an unnecessary risk to stay at this point.

“Tch...I think i’ll Let you to your fate.” Kidomaru wipes some blood off his lips. “I’m sure a bjuu is yearning for blood after all these years of captivity...!”

Giving a long, mischevious laugh, Kidomaru swung for an exit. Swinging from branch to branch, Sakon and his brother met up with him, still rubbing their eyes from the flash bomb of kakashi’s.

“I take it you didn’t hear me...” Sakon grumbled.

“A little preoccupied.” Kidomaru stated, his curse mark receding.

“Whatever. Where is Zaku?”

............

Yukimaru, implanted upon the head of the abomination under his control, reveled in his newfound freedom. The feeling of every muscle unrestrained compared to his calm and collected nature that he had. That he HAD to have. He let out a gleeful sigh.

“The meek shall inherit the earth, that is a promise from your god. Everyone else? DIE WITH THE OLD WORLD!!!”

Abomination Yukimaru have off a roar from the bjuu he was grostequly attached to. The three tails readied a powerful black sphere within his mouth. The bomb solidified and became enveloped in red energy. Suddenly, it reared it’s ugly Head, torching a huge swath of land with a steady red beam from it’s mouth. Fields of foreign bandits, ninja, and other such greedy or wanting individuals lie dead or in pieces littering the forest floor. Hama stared down at the destruction before her, the crimson flames glaring on her face. Her amber octogon she stood on glowing red from the flames down below.

“Well...make up your mind. Something tells me this thing isn’t getting any calmer.”

Mori lagged behind the rest of the group, but only by a second or so. He jumped into a tree and unsheathed his tanto, ready to let the blade get its first taste of battle. He quickly got other ideas though, as a monster that was almost too gruesome to be real appeared. Its body was horrifying, but its power overshadowed that by a mile. This can't be, a Tailed Beast? But this isn't the Jinchuriki we're after, what's going on here?! The pulsing headache the boy had before making a move finally made sense now, but the source behind it was far from pretty. An abomination, that was the only way to describe the horror he was looking at. It clearly was a Tailed Beast, but which one? His father described the ones he knew of, those were the Four-Tails and the Nine-Tails. But neither of them had a boy's body attached to their head, and this seemingly stitched together mess of a monster had three armored tails and six tails that were ghost-like in appearance.

The Mole Genin was not pleased at all with this development, he expected one jinchuriki, not two! He would love to enter the ground and hide until he could pick off targets, but he was given clear orders from Lady Guren and the fright that he felt had to be supressed for later. He just hoped that King Mori didn't do anything during the mission. He allowed himself to look at the card, only to be met by a comical death scene. "Of course, the day you take something serious is the day I'll become Raikage. And we both know that is not going to happen." Just then, the abomination in front of him that wasn't King Mori decided to unleash an attack. Fields of ninja and bandits died, and for once he was glad that he wasn't underground.

--------------------------------------------------

Taji's nervosity only got worse when seeing the monster below her. "What is that?!" She never saw anything like it, and to be fair she wanted to leave before that thing targeted them. The anxious Kumo genin quickly followed Kenji and Aisha to their hiding spot, although even when transformed her nerves were clearly bothering her. Taji Kuramoto, for once in your life, calm down! Sir Darui is with you and no one expects you to beat that monstrosity. Heck, your nerves will just get in the way of everything! She berated herself silently, she needed to calm down if she wanted to be satisfied with her performance on this mission.

Hearing Damos' reply, Misa turned around and glanced at her partner. "Oh, waiting for me are you? How gentlemanly of you." She quipped, commenting on her partner's actions. Turning back around, Misa continued her path towards the trio on the island shores. "Oh hello there, what's going on here?" She asked in an innocent voice. That was when the apparent unshaved and unkept homeless man appeared out of the bushes. The man ran towards Misa with a crazed laughter. "Huh? Gross! Get away from me." Misa exclaimed before bringing up her foot and kicking the unclean man in the face. That was when the man exploded into black lightning. "What the hell is this?" Misa thought to herself as she brought out a scroll in an instant. Opening said scroll while jumping back with her other foot, a smokescreen appeared.

A muscular man holding a large battleaxes jumped out of the smoke with Misa on its shoulder. The man wore an all black bodysuit with a matching blindfold, he was unnaturally still, almost unmoving. He also had many small burns from tanking the black lightning explosion. Misa escaped the surprise attack with only small burn on the bottom of her boot. She noticed Darui appear after and glared at him. "Hey! What's with you? Attacking someone unprovoked like that! How rude!" She shouted at the man.

Following the initial assault, Misa sat on the shoulder of the burly man as they remained on the outskirts of Hinagiku's intense follow up assault. "Who knew there would be such a party here." Misa said to herself as she had her arm up to block the violent heat form the attacks. "And here I thought I was simply going on a little walk."

Upon seeing Henshina fall to the ground with two of her limbs encased in crystal, Guren kicked into overdrive.
"Now's my chance!" She said while casting a single hand sign, causing the amount of crystal dust to double.

With a wave of her hand, the downed Henshina was bombarded with a massive cloud of glimmering dust, attempting to cacoon her in a thick layer of ultra hardened crystal.

It had not been long before Raiku & Taiyo had been greeted by a familiar presence as the one-eyed Jonin had rejoined the pair moments after Kidomaru had fled.

"Situation has gotten a bit...dicey. Where is Sakura?" Kakashi asked the pair given they had been the last ones with her.

------
"I-I think so. But there is a danger here. A monster is out." Sakura explained with a whisper to Kou, as she figured if nothing else i'd encourage this guy to get going while she had to shift back to finish the procedure on Zaku quickly.

Pakura & Kakashi's clone meanwhile discussed the terms of a little deal between them; being national allies it made sense to come together in times of possible crisis and this certainly had fit such a description. The terms of the deal would be transferred over to their original selves once they ceased to be though they'd wait for the real leader to round up the team before any dispels happened.

-----------
Darui had a lot to focus on within a short period of time, as the Hyuga Head appeared from seemingly out of nowhere in this crowded mess as fire sprung everywhere and fireballs had been shot in his direction. Time seemed to slow down as Darui had no way to discern whether this had been a true attack or a mere trick nor would he have taken the chance irregardless.

Darui acted quickly, and halted his momentum to leap back to avoid the advancing flames and fireball but even as he seemed to concede his advance he had yet to quite on his attempt on the Jinchuriki; with the Akatsuki and the Hyuga in the area he could not sustain a strong effort but what he had the capacity to try was one more quick trick on the run.

And that had been a wire he tossed as he moved back, one that aimed to try and wrap around Kin's ankle. If he managed to secure it, he could drag the limp Jinchuriki away from the flames and explosive fireballs before it all had blown to hell to drag her along the path towards him. Whether he'd beat Hina's advance remained to be seen...

-----
Pakura would only be slightly miffed at being ignored by Hina but that slight had been disregarded before she gazed on what Hina had put her focus on; as it appeared a individual in a rather colorful but infamous clothing piece had descended upon her team along with what appeared to be a Kumo-Jonin as the area had been set ablaze.

Her focus in spite of this partial inferno had been between the Akatsuki and Darui who seemed to try and grab at Kin. On one hand, it'd be more beneficial to the mission to likewise try to make off with the Jinchuriki but on the other hand the cloaked figure with a curious man in latex had been left ignored which might prove a danger to everyone.

Pakura moved behind a tree, one that had thankfully been just out of reach of the inferno pound that Hina created, and made hand signs...

"Oh my apologies. I am sure you can understand everyone is a bit stressed no?"

Pakura seemed to move around the burning river once she had finished whatever she did behind the tree and moved to a spot that would cut off Misa from the group if she had chosen to advance while she addressed the Akatsuki member.

Laying on the ground on her stomach, Henshina managed to swing the crystal incasing her limbs around as she rolled onto her back. The Jinchuriki looked at the crystal powder which had increased in quantity swarm towards her. “Damn it! What do I do? What would Gyuuki do? I don’t know what I should do!” She stressed in her mind.

That was when she remembered the words of another individual. “When you’re trying to run away from a fight you think you can’t win but can’t, why not try attacking instead? You never know what may happen.” Henshina remembered.

Grasping her blade with newfound resolve, Henshina’s expression morphed. She looked up at Guren with a fiery look in her eyes. “Lightning Style: Lightning Thrust!” She shouted. Henshina thrusted her electrified sword at Guren and shot an electric laser at her attacker.

Guren

"Your dying gasp, huh?" Guren muttered to herself as a blast of electricity was charged by Henshina.
"Guess I'll just have to speed things up!" She continued, solidifying dust in the path of Henshina's blast.
As the electricity danced along the thin piece of solidified crystal, the piece simply shattered back into dust, causing the electricity to disperse among the crystals in a hazy pink and blue mist.
And since Henshina was unable to defend against the powder, it swarmed her surroundings, solidifying into a hardened cacoon with the biju at is core.

Guren was quick to close the gap between she and Henshina once more, already finishing preparation for another jutsu.
"Earth Style: Lightened Boulder Jutsu!" The crystal kunoichi announced, smacking her palm against the large, rustic crystal.

"Now!" She shouted, pulling a small fistful of smoke bombs from her back pocket before tossing them in the air.
As the small black orbs reached there peaks, most wouldn't have noticed Guren casting yet another set of hand signs...

Katsuo

Upon hearing Guren shout, Katsuo sprung into action, launching his shuriken the minimum safe distance from Guren and Henshina on either side of them to act as a small wall of cover.
Just as the fuses to the paper bombed shuriken reach there end, Katsuo let loose his own reserve of smoke bombs. If all went according to plan, Tomiko and Mori would simultaneously be performing similar tasks.

Hinagiku

'Lightning-fast reaction speed...Hmpf, but even swine can pull cargo.'

"But since you want her so badly..." Producing a Snake seal, the Hyūga Mistress brushed the girl's hair with her finger as Kin was dragged by her, "Added Rock Weight Jutsu."

In that split-second, Kin had become the definition of dead-weight. She wasn't so heavy as to prevent Darui from moving her, but she was now a hefty piece of meat that would slow him down. Without another moment's rest, she sunk through the ground before shifting into the water. She moved through the liquid with grace and speed, diving down to grab both Sagisō and Kiro.

With her children under-arm, she began making headway towards the shore. She cast a quick glance towards the sea of flames above her. 'Hmpf, try dodging now.'

Henshina's face morphed once more into a worried look when she saw how her attack was easily deflected by Guren. Looking at the crystal powder close in on her, Henshina let out a yelp. "Gyuuki!" She shouted before getting encased by the crystal prison.

Shura climbed higher into the tree he was on and hid within its branches as the onslaught of attacks happened on the shore face to him. He opted to stay in his cover after seeing Hinagiku take care to saving Kiro and Sagsio who were hit by the blast of the homeless man bomb. "This day just keeps surprising me with the weird stuff I see." He though to himself, commenting on the homeless man.

Misa looked at Pakura when she had shown herself and stepped in her path. "Hmm? And who might you be?" She nonchalantly asked.

Amari heard the scuffle on the beach and decided she did not want to take part in a battle with a member of the Akatsuki, that was just not her job, and she was already dealing with more than she had agreed to. As it seemed like Pakura was insistent on fighting this enemy, Amari would have to wait to talk to her. At least, that's what she thought until she picked up on the very faint sound of Pakura's voice in the direction of where the Rashomon was. Amari realized that either that was the real Pakura or this one was. Either way, she decided she and Koki'o would go and meet up with the one further away from all the action. When Amari arrived she noticed Pakura was talking to another Konoha Jonin and what seemed to be his team was behind them. She had no reservations about interrupting their conversation in order to talk and regroup with Pakura. "Pakura, we met up with the other Konoha-nin, but we had to retreat because as you can clearly see things got... out of hand."

That's the sign! Mori resheathed his tanto, put King Mori away and reached into his pouch. "Come on, where are they? Bingo." He pulled out a smoke bomb that he got back in Konoha and threw it at Gurens location. Thick smoke filled the area, helped by the other smoke bombs thrown. Here goes nothing! Let's hope this works, or else we're screwed. He threw two kunai with paper bombs attached to them and other explosives, just as planned.

Hama blinked, seeing that pakura and hina were both not with her, began to feel a pit in her stomach. Was it true that they both had just ignored a raging monster that could spread to kill hundreds or thousands? The thought made her frown.

“That’s...unfortunate.” Hama examined the raging beast. “Looks as though I need to start recruitment~”

Hama darted through the air, her octogonal platform sipping and sagging through the sky, leaving the beastly Yukimaru to set the entire center of the island ablaze. His bomb had lit rows upon rows of trees with a bright orange flames, smoke pluming into the sky.

Kou heard the roar, spotting the smoke from the same direction as it. A row of goosebumps came down his spine, a ghastly chill coursing through him. It sounded...LOOKED like death. He looked down toward his brother and Zaku, and then to Sakura.

“Uh....uhhhhh...how long is this going to take?? We gotta get boss out of here. And you too. You don’t want to stick around here...do you?”

.....

Damos stood, staring intensely at the black smoke in the distance. His black cloud hanging over his own position, the two shadowed forms draping the sky. It was like the two were asking for a dance of death, a waltz of destruction and agony. One a fiery eruption of mad rage, and another a shadowed mystery of calculated retribution. It was like poetry in motion, Damos’s hair flashing a cyan green color before returning to it’s pale white.

Koki'o

"Sis, I love you, but stop being a priss."

Koki'o's face was dead-pan; a mask of indifference which, as all masks, was only skin-deep. Laser-sight pupils locked onto Pakura's figure; their owner was clearly locked, loaded, and ready to fire. Her ammo came from a deep-seating unease about the whole situation. Voice stern, a mix of anger, trepidation, and what respect and cordiality she could muster she spoke.

"That isn't 'out of hand', that is Not-what-we-fucking-signed-up-for! Surely, you doesn't expect that to be two over-sized pigeons, yea?!"

Her eyes shifted from the Sunagakure jonin, gazing instead upon the havoc wrought by this new-found abomination styling itself like a god. When her focus return, the flames of fervent destruction had possessed her. The embers of the forest stirred on the wind. Her hair dancing along to the crackling tune of flames until it too had become indistinguishable from the forest flames.

"Either you start working some miracles—", she paused briefly before pointing at Pakura's abdomen, "or anything that comes from there belongs to us."

Her message was crystal. Either Pakura assured them the situation was under control, or this little endeavor would see its price inflated several fold.

Hyoryugetsu

"Worry more about yourself Prince Charming, I'm sure your lover-boy will be fine. You on the other hand are a hot —I mean— cold mess!"

The Hōzuki snickered at her own corny joke, revealing a row a teeth that'd make a shark jealous.

"Pipe down while I take a look at that wound, else you'll be the first Yuki to yap himself to death on the battlefield— surely the most glorious of ways to go down."

Without waiting for Kai's permission, she bent down and aimed to set her palm on his chest. The glint in her eye would tolerate no protests. She intended to let the water of her palm soak Kai's wound, while turning the Saigenzai in her body into its medical counterpart Kotarou.

The drug-turned-healing agent would act as both an anesthesia as well as an antibiotic. Luckily for the Yuki Prince, the stuff in her body was generally the diluted low-potency
type, so he recovered from its effects quickly.

Taiyo
The FBS master looked with contempt at Kidomaru as he began to flee, even though it was the logical choice. Regardless, Taiyo returned to his normal state, the firey aura that was surrounding him retracting into his body. Fourtunately afterwards, he and Raiku were greeted by a familiar and more importantly, friendly face: Mr. Kakashi.

"Situation has gotten a bit...dicey. Where is Sakura?"

Taiyo nodded awkwardly when he heard the first sentence. Granted, the term "dicey" was an understatement, but the message was sent either way. The Leaf-nin also found himself telling the Jonin where his other teammate was.

"Oh, Sakura is healing a sound ninja I knocked out, at his kid's request of course," He was stifling a chuckle as he explained the situation to his team leader.

"More importantly," Taiyo began, turning to the monstrosity with a god complex, "How the hell are we going to deal with that?!"
Tsuki/Seiun
Tsuki began to feel a sense of ease as Hyo came to aid Kai in his injuries, although found herself chuckling at her snarky comment. Meanwhile, Seiun decided that the time was best suited to take a nap on the beach, completely ignoring the fact that they could be ambushed at any moment at all.

“...Thanks.” Kiro expressed his gratitude in a soft-spoken manner before the nurses left the cell. Though Rakū’s sterilization method had stung a bit, Kiro was grateful for the Hyūga’s generosity. He was still a prisoner after all and they didn’t have to help him. Of course Kiro still held onto the belief that this was all some ploy to lower his defenses and get comfortable enough to unknowingly reveal information. A diabolical trap that he had almost been caught in.

Leaning back against the wall, Kiro recalled that it was the inmate in the cell beside his who had seen the situation unfold and snapped him back to reality by throwing a book. “So Sagisō, am I correct in assuming that you’re using your byakugan to read through those books and it was only a coincidence that they were active during my mishap? Or did my actions just happen to peak your interest?” The Uchiha questioned with a laid back tone as he began carefully testing the mobility of his leg. Whether or not Sagisō wanted to take those questions seriously was up to her.

Sagisō ~~Flashback

"Ah!"

Bleating in surprise, Sagisō clapped her hands together, a crisp pah! bouncing off the stony walls of her call. "I must've forgot to tell you—" The abrupt cut-off created an air of unease. It was rare that the Nadeshiko kunoichi hesitated. For several moments her silence held dominion. Then slowly, tentatively she began. "—You see, in Nadeshiko...our custom is that we marry the man who defeats us in battle~"

Hidden from the Uchiha's eyes by several inches of stone, was a ghost of a smile. There was a gentleness to her voice; an alluring swoon quite unlike anything she'd displayed before. Her voice was a trill of hums, allowing the Uchiha to gather his thoughts. With brimming affection she continued— "Your victory over me; a moment of pride in exchange for a lifetime as mine..." —perhaps a bit too much affection.

"Don't fret love, it goes both ways. I'm yours ~ ♥ "

Her words were left to occupy the air, intended to stir Kiro's thoughts. She, however, didn't intend to let him think long. Rebelliously, she spat out, "Hmpf — Or so the village would like. Defeating me is hardly enough to earn my love, rules be damned."

Punctuating her point was the flight of another book. It crashed into another stack of paper-backs, the whole tower crumpling to the ground with a thud. She snorted once, expelling her irritation in a huff. "—But, to answer your question. No, there was no coincidence, no mishap, no happenstance, I was just watching you."

Bluntly she fessed up.

"First and foremost we need to regroup. First with our unit, then with Lady Hina's. In this situation strength in numbers is vital." Kakashi stressed, he had experienced the sheer destructive power of one of these creatures first hand and his tone was deadly serious to reflect this urgency within his tone.

He would motion for the pair to follow him as he'd work to regroup with Sakura though as they advanced he caught glimpse of another team with him.

-----
"I just need another minute to stablize him. He won't wake up for a while but he'll live..." Sakura explained to Kou as she worked with urgency but also with as much precision as she could muster before Madoka glanced up as she saw some figures in the distance.

Well, looks like the gang is all here. This entire thing is such a mess...

----------
Darui had to make a choice and make it quick it seemed; give up on Kin or try to pull her along in spite of the added weight and risk being burned alive. Well, Darui knew what option was preferable but he had one last trick up his sleeve as he channeled black lightning in his palm.

Woosh!
With his electric hand he would draw a kunai and charge both it and the tip of the metal wire as both crackled with an electric charge as he tossed a kunai to a tree just out of range of the advancing flames. Darui released the wire and fled quickly, while he counted on his little electric link to act as a make-shift magnet in that when the kunai would toss i'd pull on the metal wire and by extension Kin's weighed down her body so that she'd be able to escape the flames as well.

-----------
"Just someone trying to get my little gang back home in one piece." Pakura replied simply to the Akatsuki member, mindful to keep plenty of space between them as she had yet to make an aggressive act to this stage.

All she needed was some time to sort this mess, as much as she could manage...

----------

Tomiko watched as Guren went to work, and with that monster there they needed to quickly snatch it before it decided to wander over to where they had been.

So, Tomiko went to work, and worked to chuck more boulders in the process to cover what Lady Guren aimed to do. And there had been one spot of particular interest where she chucked twin boulders to place in ideal position. Not only that, but she'd add some tags to to the matter as it seemed ideal for the set up, if all worked out well this might be over quickly before they'd face the embodiment of death ahead of them.

-----------
Flashback
"I don't know....guess when I am presented with "sympathy" I can smell through the bull of it more often than not." Tayuya said, with a low mumble as she seemed to make her disbelief of Shura's claim of "mercy" as she seemed to be the more jaded sort; especially given her current situation Though the fact that Shura had yet to even threaten to use the seal against her for any reason even a test seemed to show his intent had more weight than she had been willing to admit.

Raiku was gonna fight back after he got out but then Kidomaru retreated. He decided on not going after them as his team captain had arrived and had other plans. He let his teammate speak and then followed Kakashi to where he saw Sakura, some kid, a Sand ninja, and Zaku. He was confused about why she would heal her enemy and assumed the only logical situation in his mind: he was about to die from Sakura and Taiyo's fight with him so he was being healed so he could later be interrogated.

Still looking over the situation, Shura had been moving around on the tree he was in, trying to get the best vantage points. He saw Darui pull his magnet trick then felt the metal he was carrying begin to shake. "Huh, that magnet's this strong huh." He thought to himself as he laid a hand on his chain. "Making a rash move right now would just be asking for trouble, need to think." He though.

Misa laid her elbow on the head of the muscular man, laid her head on her hand and crossed her legs. She looked at Pakura with hooded eyes. "Uh huh, and what does that have to do with me if at all?" She asked in an uninterested tone.

Flashback
Shura looked at Tayuya as she once again displayed her never ending skepticism. He let out a sigh. "Look, you're thinking about this in the wrong way. If you truly believe your life is over and that there's nothing you can do to change it, why not enjoy it while you can instead of wanting to speed up the process." The Hyuga spoke with a blunt tone. He began to walk towards the exit of the greenhouse which led him to pass by Tayuya. "You shouldn't frown so much, or wrinkles will form on your face before you get old. Wouldn't want to ruin a pretty face like that." He casually said before patting Tayuya on her shoulder and walking out of the building.

Hinagiku

'Clever enough to save you this time...'

Color her impressed, but Hinagiku knew when to give credit where it was due. Darui's magnetic works had earned —if only slightly— her appreciation. However, this and that were two different things. Her short murderous burst had allowed her to tighten her grip on the proverbial reins. The correct priority now was the safety of her team.

Slowly, she emerged from the water. Under one hand was Sagisō, and over the other shoulder was Kiro. With the sea of silver flames behind them, Furīsu was able to weave the heat waves into a genjutsu-curtain. As she moved across the beach, her voice fell with slight resignation. "Pakura —I'm leaving. Will you be sticking around?"

“...this is no time for rest.” Kai grunted, leaning up against a nearby tree. “With that Xeno made affront to nature on the lose, and the recent development with Kiro, we must stay vigilant.”

Wincing from the pain, Kai watched as team hina collided with team Darui and Guren. He reckonized a few familiar faces. There was Katsuo, who he talked briefly with him before BOMBING the mizukage,, and Tomiko, the useless crippled woman. Looks like both had survived. Joy.

“Hyo, that’s your name wasn’t it?” Kai asked. “What’s that?”

Kai gestured over to the black water that had become dangerously close to the shore, a mere three yards.

“But we gotta go! That thing could be here any minute!” Kou said to Sakura.

“Squeak squeak!”

“Yeah, I know. But I can’t just do that for everything, it would get annoying bro.”

Despite calling the rat his brother in front of Sakura, he moved on to more pressing matters. He needed to get Zaku Mobile, and quick. With Zaku being already heavier than any other person his age, there were little options.

“Could you maybe have like, a stretcher or somethin’? Or maybe we could just hitch a ride with you guys...?”

“Hm?”

Curious, the Uchiha slightly tilted his head in the direction of Sagisō after hearing her sudden interjection and the clap that followed it. Though Kiro wasn’t expecting those questions to draw out such an energetic response, it seemed he had managed to jog her memory. The abrupt pause, along with the eerie silence afterwards, gave Kiro a few moments to wonder what she had in mind.

However, he didn’t think of much by the time she began to speak again. Sagisō started off unusually hesitant, seeming to carefully choose what words to describe the custom of Nadeshiko Village. As Sagisō continued, Kiro couldn’t help but notice a gradual shift in her voice. She spoke with affection and a soft, endearing tone he had yet to hear from her before. The reposeful mood that was set lingered in the air as Sagisō paused again, leaving a moment of serenity for him to process her words.

That brief moment of tranquility only lasted for about a split second before Sagisō shot it straight to oblivion. Kiro let out a light chuckle upon hearing a stack of books get demolished by Sagisō’s rage. He honestly found her actions quite amusing but interesting at the same time. Perhaps she wasn’t just providing him with this information, but also expressing her own thoughts and feelings.

“Just watching me huh? I guess that makes sense…” The Uchiha paused for a moment, seeming to carefully consider how he should proceed. It had been awhile since he had been in a situation like this. Kiro figured he should start with the basics. “But yeah, I’m interested in you- I mean your village’s tradition. Though it’s weird that you’ve only mentioned Kunoichi and not the other gender.”

If Kiro recalled correctly, Sagisō had mentioned her Nadeshiko’s tradition to him during their battle. Something along the lines of a journey to find a suitable husband or wife by dueling shinobi from around the world. Of course he still didn’t know that it was a village occupied by only women. He also suspected there was a reasoning behind the tradition. A reason why the freedom to love was somewhat sacrificed.

With a relaxed but subtly solicitous tonality to his voice, the Uchiha continued speaking. “Well, I do agree with your sentiment. While love eventually leads to marriage, the reverse isn’t guaranteed. That being said, I can’t help but feel like there’s a reasoning behind such a binding custom. Mind filling me in?”

~Boom~

Everything seemed to happen at once. As the smoke bombs went off, the entire area was briefly shrouded in a thick layer of dense black smoke. As the tags went off, the boulders created by Tomiko were launched in the form of high speed, omnidirectional shrapnel.
The explosive wave trimmed the treeline and caused a blow back of wind to push anyone and everyone further away from Guren.
The crystal-nin took this opportunity to to active her final jutsu.
"Multi-Crystal Clones." She muttered internally, generating four separate sets of Team Guren, identical to last detail....including Henshina.

As the shrapnel was launched out, and Guren had sufficient cover, she and the group of clones dashed into the treeline, scattering like wild animals.

"Mori, Tomiko, and Katsuo know where to go, let's just hope the smoke wasn't to disorienting." She thought to herself, only to have her worries lift as Katsuo steadily moved in on her from the back left, smacking his palms against the crystal shell containing Henshina as he reached Guren.

"Think that'll help slow the chakra drain." Katsuo noted as he linked his own reserves to the seal subduing Gyuki.
"Sorry I couldn't offer more, this clone doesn't have much in the way of chakra reserves." He added, gesturing to his own crystalline form.

"Its fine, we just need to get back to the originals. We can leave Mori and Tomiko here if they take to long, but you'll need to be the eyes in the back of my head if that's the case." The newly revealed Crystal Guren retorted, slowing her pace so the other two could have a chance to make up lost ground.

The voice ringer in his ear, appearing coming from nowhere. On closer inspection, one would notice a pink almost hair strand sized object touching one of his toes. The voice appeared to speak like a well of a thousand voices.

Furījia's fingers dug in and her eyes close. The down of feather's beneath her palm was a welcome distraction from...well —everything else. Everything, and she really did mean everything, sucked. She'd lost her favorite weapon, she'd been separated from her mother and sister (again), and the Nara behind her remained creepily silent.

She'd been denied her usual comforts and yet— the girl sunk further into the feathers— "...not too bad."

It was pretty warm, despite the onset of winter. The layer of feather's surrounding her Filolial just thick enough for her to get comfortable. She'd initially imagined needing a saddle to ride, but riding bareback proved to be just as comfortable —if not more so.

Despite the comfort of her newly acquired summon, her brow had been knotted in concern. You see, that was the problem. K'waule was a newly acquired summon. Apart from the obvious —riding it— other methods of cooperation left her a bit...troubled.

Immersed in thought, she lay her head into the bird's neck. It's gait was surprisingly steady, but her shift in position disregarded that. With senses pressed against her mount, she picked up on far more. It's heartbeat —strong and steady, even at this pace—, it's legs —beating against the ground, crushing the new-frost—, it's feathers —soft and plush, sending tingles up her arms and down her spine as her chakra intermingled with K'waule's.

A deluge of sparks ran between her own body and that of the Filiolial. The physical manifestation of their interaction. For several moment, she was lost in the feeling but a sharp Screee, quickly snapped her back to reality. "Right...no time to lose my head."

As it were now, they were aimless. However —'I can probably find Kakashi-sensei if I look around.'

It was so, while her eyes had faded to white, that Furījia began to direct K'waule. Several hundred meters away she could see Kakashi and the remnants of that team interacting with a few Suna shinobi.

"Ya know, being made of water doesn't mean I know everything about it..."

Shifting her eyes towards the target of Kai's query, Hyō leered down at the darkened current. "...just give me a second."

Swiftly, she paced over to the shore stepping foot into the waves until they were ankle deep. She wasn't far enough to touch the black water but what she could do was— "Eeek!!"

Faster than she'd entered, she shot away from the water. On her face was a mixture of horror and disgust, both fighting to out-express the other.

She'd just attempted to sync her senses through the water, using the waves as a means of information gathering. However, whatever that was, she wanted nothing to do with it. Turning to face Kai, her skin still crawling, she spat out — "It's disgusting, that's what it is."

Kai was surprised at hyo’s reaction. He hadn’t seen the Hozuki look worried like that before, shellshocked even. His concern over the black water only grew, as did his sense of urgency.

“I’m guessing that means we shouldn’t be going for a dip...” Kai muttered, looking at the ink like water. “That means if Kiro gets wet over there...who knows what may happen.”

Kai needed to triangulate where the black water was stemming from, which only took a couple seconds to figure that Damos, the masked Akatsuki member had been responsible. He turned to his team.

“I don’t recall this one being in the bingo books...and trust me, as a hunter nin I memorized the pages by now. Those symbols are familiar though...a high priority target perhaps. Any data on him?”

Hyō rolled her eyes, balking as she shed a layer of water from her body and with it much of her disgust. "Data? What would you do with it, plan a fight?"

Pressing her fingers to her brow, she searched her memory. While the Hōzuki were isolationist, that was mostly in regards to inter-village politics. Hyō's own skill with genjutsu —and as it followed, interrogation— along with her position in the clan, meant that she knew a bit more than the average Hōzuki about the situation both inside and outside the village.

That being said, not even Hyō was familiar with the black cloaks and their red cloud-designs...no, on second thought.

'No...mother had mentioned it once. But —she'd also said not to stick my nose where it didn't belong...until I was a Jonin, at least.'

Returning her attention to Kai, she shook her head in denial. More importantly, looking at his weakened state, Kai was less than 100%. With Tsuki being as fresh as she was and...the pet boy.

'Having a mental break down...Perfect!'

Hyō shifted her gaze from the pet and fixed it on Kai.

"You can analyze it all later! As in, not here!"

Adamantly against the thought of remaining in this location for another second, Hyōryugetsu stirred...quite visibly. The water in her body seemed to rage like a tempest, reflecting her mood —turbulent. She gnashed her teeth together, producing a soft snapping sound. 'Between these two bozos here and that other bozo...'

There really wasn't much of a choice, but getting embroiled in this was a sure-fire way to get them all killed.

“Well I lack a stretcher, maybe….” Sakura said, though before she had a chance to make a common an audible “poof” signified the destruction of the clone Kakashi made as he soaked in the information from his conversation with Pakura’s own clone as well as what it had overheard from Sakura & Kou’s conversation. With that, Kakashi glanced down to the medical student and the Oto surrogate son.

“Well, we have the means to stabilize him back in Konoha. But we need to get going and get going quickly.” Kakashi explained, as he decided to make an action given Zaku’s situation. His offer sounded genuine, though of course not without some personal benefit for what Zaku knew if they managed to get out of this.

“Oh believe me I am aware. No need to worry though. Just gotta regroup with our Hyuga friend…I have an idea.” Pakura said with a wink to Amari and the Nadeshiko ninja who just arrived which was enough for Madoka to feel a bit more comfortable. Slightly, even with their early morning nonsense. Sakura sighed before she went to pick up Zaku after her hands finished glowing.

“I’ll transport him. Stay close and stay out of the fight. No matter what, I’ll make it my word as a medical ninja he won’t die here.” Sakura promised Kou. Though something in the distance caused the clone to glance up as she eyed a summon with a pair of figures on it with a wide grin.

“Oooh? Seems we have company.” Pakura commented, as Takato who had been rather quiet the entire “ride” on Furijia’s companion noticed the figures ahead of them.

“Kakashi’s team is right ahead. Well, seems the Sound have fled…mostly.” Takato commented, as he noticed something that seemed a bit familiar to him Sakura had hoisted on her back.

However, they had not been alone. As another figured trailed behind though kept herself hidden once she saw the party ahead. Tayuya on her Doki, who had tailed Furijia's summon as her Doki's superhuman abilities managed to just barley keep trace of it though as Tayuya saw the group come together she had taken note of one injured party ahead.

Huh, so captain blowhole got himself caught. Neither spider shit or the twin dunces are around so they either escaped or are dead. This whole thing is getting needlessly fucking crowded. But as far as they know, I am still on their side. Gotta use that...

“Nothing, and I think it’d be best we keep it that way.” Pakura explained to Misa before she overheard Hina’s comments as she simply turned to her with a smile.

“Oh, I don’t intent to stick around much longer than I need to. Besides, we have other matters to discuss….” Pakura said, that last part spoken only at a tone Hina would hear but Irregardless she seemed ready to go.

It seemed that, least for the moment, the Hyuga Head had stopped her pursuit of Kin which granted Darui ample opportunity he’d work to capitalize on. He’d grab the electric kunai as he moved from tree to tree and dragged Kin along the forest flow towards his team that remained birds. Before either Kenji or Aisha had even a chance to ask about it Kenji turned to them and spoke quickly.

“We need to go, now. Back to Kumo and report to Lord Raikage.” Darui stressed, though as Kin slid over to him and his kunai that pulled on the electrified wire he moved to her and cast some quick hand signs. Darui had been no expert in seals, to the degree of the famed Uzumaki Clan or those exposed to their teachings but Darui had been studious in all areas of the ninja; even if his personality indicated otherwise to outside observers. Darui would place twin digits to the back of Kin’s head, as he aimed to produce a violet flower symbol on it; one that would aim to try and apply chakra to Kin’s stimulus to keep her unconscious…if only for a temporary period.

Unaware of the internal coos of the passenger within Kin, Darui would work to try and bind her ankles together and hands behind her back. If successful, he’d then hoist her over his shoulder. Soon, a current ran through his legs as it followed a one-handed sign before he turned to his team.

“Take to the sky, we head off the islands and back to Kumo. Keep pace and stay close.” Darui explained as Kenji & Aisha nodded before they flew up and would make sure to stay with Taji. And with a woosh, Darui dashed ahead as he aimed for a break for it.

Tomiko had seen Guren make her move, and once the chaos and the figures began to scatter through the smoke she knew the time had been now and they needed to go. Tomiko moved to Mori and made sure to get by his good ear.

“Mori, we gotta go and meet up with Guren and Katsuo. Let’s hurry.” Tomiko stressed with some urgency as they needed to get going and she had opted to take the lead to join up with them.

W-wha….?

To say Tayuya had been speechless would have been an understatement as Shura out of the blood complimented her “pretty” face which caused a stupefied look to appear; she didn’t expect that even after the general life advice, but then again it seemed impossible to predict anything about this guy.

Either way, she shook her head and assumed her natural expression; an annoyed scowl.

“Look…I, I appreciate what you attempt to do here but don’t use it as chance to flirt.” Tayuya replied with a tired sigh.

Mori looked to the side, into Tomiko's eyes. When we get home, I need to thank her for looking out for me. Maybe another treat of ramen? He nodded and leaped out of cover, running towards Guren and Katsuo. "Use some chakra to boost your speed, we need to catch up!" The Mole Genin concentrated chakra in his legs and used the built-up force to jump further than he ever could normally. They had landed a big catch, now they had to reel the fish in without ripping the wire on the rocks or other hunters snatching the spoils from them.

---------------------------------

Taji was a bit confused as to what Darui was doing, but she trusted in him making the right decision. After all, rule number one was 'Never defy or question authority.' Or was it? Her conversation with Kenji had been in the back of her head ever since they spoke. Was it really a good way of life to just do as been told and never think for yourself? She didn't know, and she wanted to know. There never was an occasion that she didn't know the answer in the academy, this question was one she had to answer too! But for now, she had to get home alive and obey the orders of Lord Darui.

Seiun
After giving his reply, the rouge shinobi was feeling rather insane, an emotion that was too familiar to him for his liking. He took a look around at his allies, only one of them seemed to have an inkling of an idea of what was going on in his head, and that was Hyo. Unfourtunately, judging by her look of disdain, Seiun wasn't getting any help from her; to make matters worse, the voice gave a reply.

“Ò͇͍̜̲̜͌͆͂h̙̪̯ͭ̑,̶͉͕̜̞͒̌̐̑ ̹̗͓̯̦̫̐̐̂͋̈́ͅĮ̴̫̼ͨ̉̅̃͜ ̖͌ͥ̋̾ͪͥ̀̚k̥̠͍̰̺̺ͤ̃͐ͧ̎̔͒ͣͭ̀n̶̛̩̙̦͎̻͔̗ͤͥ́ȏ̶̡̥̝̟̱̂̂̔͌̄̿͘w͗ͦ͌͑̈̈̐̐ͅ ̛̼̼̙̥̞̼̝͇̲ͧ̋̒͆̽̐̋q̸̧̗̺͊ͭͫ̋ͣ̏͐ů̜̝ͯ̍̓ͮ̒ͤ̚͠ͅĭ̆ͩͥ̀̑̎҉̶̹̭̘̝̰̰̕t̴̲͍̲̜̬̠͑̓ͨͯͯ̍̕è̪ͭ̅̏ͦͭ́̿̾ͅͅ ̈͛̽͢͏̖̥a̙̖̫̘͉͇̾ͥͥ͌̈͑ ̷͇̭ͤ̂͊̆̂́l͓͓̗̍ͩ̓̓ͮ͋ō̢͚̠̙̹̦͔̤̳͇̓ͥt̸̨̠̍̋ͮ́̿͡ ̸̱͎ͯ́͠ạ̛̪ͬ̓͟b̗̙̫̳̱͓͕͂̀͛ͪ̉͗̆o̵̳͉͖̜̰̹͛ͫ̚u͖͋̽̊t͖̖͉̘͙̲͐̑ ̵͉͓̓ͦ̂̑̈̏ͪ̚y̶͈͆̈̅ͥ̏o̸̗̺͔͍͉̳͑ͨ̈͒u̷͍ͤ̕͠...”

This detail concerned the missing-nin, primarily because there were things sbout him that he'd rather keep to himself. Before he could worry too much however, the voice continued.

Seiun allowed himself to let out a light chuckle to himself, up until now, most of what the voice had said was true. The truth was, the missing-nin's whole reason foe being here, at this moment, was because he WAS tortured, broken, mentally burned out, and instead of facing the consequences of his actions, he chose to run. The hilarity stopped with the voice's next piece of dialouge.

Allowing himself to let out one more chuckle, akin to a snicker rather than genuine laughter, the rouge decided to oblige with the voice.

Heh, I'll give you credit, The rouge began, Doing your homework on thr least important member of this team is humorois to say the least. To answer your question, who said I stopped being ruthless or rebellious, I recently murdered a guy with his own axe and basically told my "mistress" to eat the prince's icicle. But the real rrason why Im holding back is because I've gained something very valuable in my obedience, something that's let me stay alive this long, something that's gonna let me earn my freedom: trust.

Looking over the situation, Shura needed to make a decision. The sound Jinchuriki was currently being pulled away by a Kumo Jonin and engaging him would be foolish. He looked over the sea of fire then towards the position Hinagiku was. “Hmm, nothing much I could do beside retreat right now.” The Hyūga thought to himself as he turned away from the excitement. Activating his Byakugan for a second, Shura locates Furijia and Takato’s location. “Oh they’re near Sir Kakashi’s team, that’s convenient.” He thought to himself before jumping through the tree line, in the direction of his other teammates.

Flashback
As he walked out of the greenhouse, Shura stopped at the sound of Tayuya words. “Flirting? Is that how she interpreted that.” He thought to himself before twisting his head to cast a glance at Tayuya. “Take what I say however you like, it doesn’t bother me.” He said before turning back and continuing to walk.

"You called Milady~?"

As Mei paced grumpily through the streets of the Mist, surveying the damage done by the recent attack, a voice 3 pints too jovial broke her brooding. Moodily, she angled her gaze at just the right degree to catch the fanged maw of Shōshitsugetsu Hōzuki, plastered into an odd grin. The mix of excitement and spry wry that covered the Nightmare Queen's face was almost contagious —infectious even— as Mei found herself returning a soft smile.

Clearing her throat and wiping the smile from her lips, she announced crisply.

"Prepare immediately, only bring the most elite of your entourage. Everyone else shall remain to hold the fort, have the medical shinobi on stand by in case any of the casualties take a turn for the worst."

Despite Damos' attack being at the forefront of her mind, the Mizukage was well away she had other tasks to do that were left...undone. As soon as— "Oh, you're already here!"

Stealthily as a shadow with blonde-gold trimmings gracing her features —just having arrived on the scene was Chino, Mei's trusted aide.

"Excellent! We depart for the border in 15 minutes!"

Jin overlooked the site that the shukaku had last appeared at, or rather was taken out at. The scene where Damos was last seen. He looked whiskfully at the scene. His face seemingly a mix of anger, sadness, and frustration. Upon knowing these emotions were visible, he quickly cleared his throat, his honor guard appearing before him on the mist’s walls.

“The last of the victims have been prepared.”

“Good. Now. Let’s go get their doctor.”

In a quick unison movement, the honor guard were off with Jin. After they had moved out, dozens of other Yuki came along with them, ranging from chunnin to low jounin. It was time to begin reclamation efforts
