As the spikey balls landed on Raiku he decided to continue his spinning of his sword. This caused the prior flames to block him from view. Though he winced at the pain from the balls it didn’t do much and he was able to do hand seals. The flames surrounding him started turning and rotating into a vortex. It picked up the balls and Raiku also substituted himself with a log. Then he coordinated the vortex from his new position at the edge of the branch near the trees to head towards Kidomaru’s position, the fire still blocking him from view since his opponent was on the other side.

Amari took the necklace from Pakura and put it around her neck. She then sped off to catch up with Koki'o and the coyote. It didn't take them long before coming upon the large mass of ninja. Amari could tell that the situation was... tense to say the least. It seemed like fighting could have broken out at any moment between the two teams, with the only thing stopping the fighting being the two shinobi in the middle. Because of her heightened senses caused by constant meditation, she could hear most of the conversation and she could tell that the cease-fire would not last much longer. She decided it would be best to not make the biggest entrance. She decided to wait as to not escalate the situation any more than it already was. If fighting did break out between the two groups, she could easily join to help her sister, not that she thought the help would be needed. The Kono-nin easily outnumbered the Kiri-nin and Sagisō was no easy opponent. She sat and started to listen to everything going on between the two teams, she ushered for Koki'o to sit and wait as well.

'huff'

All it took was an imperceptible flex on Hina's part, a tensing of muscles in the diaphragm that released a huff of air, accompanied within this breath were minute chakra needles aimed to cripple the tenketsu of the offending finger. Needless to say, this attack had only taken a breath's worth of time —if even that. Specializing in shape transformation as she did, she was adept at manipulating her chakra like an extension of her body, with just as much, if not even more control over chakra that her own limbs. This was saying a lot, as Hina could control her body on a micro-scale.

Sagisō

Noticing the arrival of Seiun and Tsuki, but hardly concerned by it, Sagisō redirected her attention to the tree Kai and Kiro stood on. She'd been just in time to catch Kiro's look, one that wished to intercede on the Mist Shinobi's behalf. 'How touching...but this pity party is a waste of time.'

Even so, she nodded slightly, in a way that only Kiro could see. She had no intentions of wasting chakra where it wasn't required. Since they had the Jinchuriki, it was time that they left. "We're leaving." She spoke plainly as if stating the most obvious conclusion in the world.

"Don't cross the Rubicon." Drawing a line in the forest ground, she left the Mist Shinobi with those words. With the symbolic line in the dirt dividing the two teams, Sagisō turned around and began heading off.

As the situation unfolded, Shura had still been anticipating a fight, especially after the seemingly Mist reinforcement showed up. When he saw Sagisō suddenly call out that they were leaving, Shura dropped his guard rather quickly and looked at her. He didn’t exactly know what she was thinking of at first but he understood when he saw Sagisō draw a line separating them and the mist. “Oh, I think I see what she’s saying.” He thought to himself. With one last glance at Kai, Shura rolled his shoulders and began heading off as well.

‘What? Is he trying to get me killed?’ Kiro did his best to show that he was not utterly dumbfounded by the nonsense he just heard come out of Kai’s mouth. With all due respect, Kai was clearly thinking without any logic. Did he not know about the countless risks of attempting to remove a seal? The types of traps a sealing master could’ve placed on the damn thing alone should be enough to dissuade anyone from attempting such foolishness.

As for Kai’s last statement, he was both right and wrong. Sure his team had the possibility of being crippled but if that were to happen, Kai and the others would end up dead. Is that what the Yuki wanted? Did Kai have a death wish? It was hard enough going out of his way to help someone out of pure generosity. But now this was teetering on the edge of ridiculousness. Kiro had the utmost respect for Kai as a friend but this was just too much.

Thankfully Sagisō caught his message and had taken the initiative to disengage. If Kai disregarded their good will now, then there would be nothing Kiro could do to help him from receiving the consequences. “Well before I go Kai, I want to let you know that there is no way in hell I’ll waste my life as a prisoner. One way or another, I’ll attain the power I need to guarantee my own freedom. Whether you choose to believe me or not is your choice. As for this situation, I won’t fight you guys but I also trust that you can come to a reasonable decision.” After saying his final words, the Uchiha prepared to hop down the tree.

Kidomaru’s Eyes relished the sight of blood as his little spikey thorn projectiles landed on and in raiku’s skin. I knew it! The sharingan can only predict things it can see, so if there is a chakra layered projectile, he is completely blinded to what is inside! This I can use.

Kidomaru rolled his eyes at the sight of the fire tornado Raiku had ditched him and left him with. So he simply shot out a strand of silk to a nearby tree and swung over to it, hiding amongst the branches and flora.

Meanwhile the spider like ninja began to craft and sow something together. Something dastardly. Something that would spell certain doom to Raiku with his newfound knowledge....

.....

“Boop.”

Hama’s ‘Offending finger’ along with the rest of her body poofed into thin air, revealing a string of several paper bombs in the gauge shape of a human bone mesh. The real Hama giggled from safety within her octogonal barricade.

“The Boop Boom, the unorthodox yet surprisingly effective kill move.” Hama mused. “Academy years were so fun~”

Whether you choose to believe me or not is your choice. As for this situation, I won't fight you guys but I also trust that you can come to a reasonable decision.”

These words were an uneasy comfort to Kai, as he felt powerless In His situation. Unable to bring Kiro home due to his exile, and unable to kill everyone in his team to free him due to risk of war and death. He clenched his hand into a fist, his eyes filled with utter discontent for the situation and for himself.

“Kiro. Promise me. Promise me you won’t-“

“SUPRISE BITCH!”

All of a sudden, a figure leaped across the trees, and a thick tri clawed gash appeared on Kai’s chest. Blood flew through the air as a mad woman had made her way into the scene. Kin, with her pair of triple talon claws wasted no time in dealing with Kai, removing her talons from him and shoving him off the tree.

Kai, Landed in Hyo, which she softened the blow by transforming into a water, acting as a cushion for him. Kai then rolled onto the ground, coughing, looking up at who struck him.

Kin stood in kai’s place, her nails red with blood. She gave a hyena like cackle, snapping back to Kiro. Yukimaru appeared from the treeline, approaching in a far more quiet and elegant fashion than kin.

“That...wasn’t the plan kin-“

“Screw the plan, it was FUN!”

“Regardless...ahem. Kiro. We are here to escort you to-“

“we’re kidnapping you, brat!”

“I wouldn’t say that...” Yukimaru scratched the back of his head. “We are rescuing you. Please come quietly.”

The two sound jinchurki stood next to Kiro, the entirety of team Kiro and all of team hina except hina herself of course. They had arrived. Kai growled, reattaching his mask.

“Xeno...scum!”

Making his way away from Kai, Shura abruptly stopped in his tracks when he heard commotion coming from behind. Quickly turning his head around, the Hyūga witnessed the appearance of the two sound Jinchuriki as well as what had happened to Kai. “Huh what’s this? Seems a third party has just showed up.” He thought to himself. “Huh? Wait that guy, I saw him in that forest three months ago.” He added in his thoughts before grabbing his chain. Shura glanced towards Sagisō. “I don’t suppose this was part of your plan.” He said.

Raiku watched Kidomaru use a string to escape into the trees and wasted no time to heading to his attack. No way I'm wasting this chakra. He harvested the flames to around his sword. He turned the flames into a thin line over the metal and compensated the new size with more density. He put the blade away and began doing hand seals before biting his finger to draw out blood and place his hand on the branch. This caused Ramer to be summoned. Raiku turned towards the direction he saw Kidomaru retreat to and jumped towards it. He landed on trees and began swinging around his sword to cut away the leaves and burn them with flames that spread from the sword's coating.

Eventually he found his opponent who had been hidden and said, "Looks like I won our little game. Playtime's over now, don't you think?" Then he released a pair of chakra slices towards the Sound ninja.

Katsuo

After quite awhile without so much as a simple command, Katsuo felt the need to speak up.

'Excuse me, Lady Guren. Dont you think we should get moving soon?" The young water-nin spoke in a quiet, lighthearted tone, trying not to disturb his superiors focus to much.

Guren

The smug Jonin's eyes flashed open as Katsuo spoke, realizing that there window may close soon if they remained to cautious.
"Right....well, it appears that among all the fighting, a few groups have gathered and remained surprisingly calm." She assessed the situation while looking off in the direction where events were soon to transpire.
"We should get moving and see if these unnatural actions were caused by more than a few teams having a run-in." She added for breaking into a run, well aware that her team would be hot on her tail.

~~~~~
Team Guren quietly shifted from treetop to treetop, inching closer to there targeted location.
"Right, stay low, stay quiet. Ill scout." She spoke over her shoulder, making sure to focus her attention mostly on the deafened Mori, before easing her way to the edge of the treeline.
"Move up. Multiple suspicious figures located. It appears we wont be hiding out presence from everyone..."
Katsuo
Upon hearing Guren's quiet command, Katsuo half stood-half crawled towards the edge of the treeline, making sure to produce no sound as he did so. While its true that he had expected to see something out of the ordinary, what he DID see was quite a surprise.
"Kai...." He muttered under his breath, his eyes immediately catching sight of the bloodied Yuki clan member. While he did realize that this was an important, somewhat stressful mission, he couldnt help but crack a grin, seeing that hatred filled boy had recently received some just desserts helped lighten the traveler-nins mood just a touch.
"Might as well see where this leads..."
Sakura watched as Zaku was at Taiyo's mercy and Taiyo prepared a fireball, but there seemed to be some sort of attempt to counter even as he remained paralyzed. Sakura had a frown as she began to make hand signs in her hidden vantage point...
"Senbonzakura Style: Petal Swam!"
More flower petals, both from her person thanks to Ino, and from the flowers in the trees or ground below her, began to rise up as they had shot towards the still even if only partially Zaku as she had the petals close in towards her arms. Normally, this jutsu would aim to have the petals attack themselves to the target and cover their body from head to toe, but in this case as both a means to make better use of it and conserve petals she altered the target from Zaku's whole body to just his arms.
And specifically, towards those airholes of his to try and stuff and plug them up. Zaku was dangerous, a human gun...but take out the bullets and the gun becomes.
------
A large explosion consumed Kakashi as he was covered in smoke, as the Jonin appeared to have been lost into the blast. However, the time the demon Oto-nin used to punch down the tree had been enough for Kakashi to prepare a defensive counter, and as the smoke began to blow away the Jonin stood in a protective sphere of Earth and minerals from the ground below covered him which soon dispersed.
In a flash, Kakashi raced from the tree towards the brothers. He needed to settle this quickly, as that Curse Mark was nothing to sneeze over as he formed hand signs as he moved across different tree tops and formed a sphere of air in his palm.
One he made that surrounded a kunai.
"Wind Style: Storm Pulse Jutsu!"
Kakashi fired the air sphere with kunai in it at the brothers, though he appeared to not aim for either one of them as it slammed into the ground between him. The moderate seized ball seemed to not do anything, but the thought of a dud dissapated as it began to expand and stretch to try and move and "consume" the brothers to try and batter them with the wind currents.
Though this was merely part of Kakashi's plan...as the expanding sphere also revealed an explosive suprise; a paper bomb attached to the kunai that when detonated would mix & feed with the air to create a violent explosion he aimed to have consume them both.
Boom!!!
------------
Pakura soon arrived as her coyote came to a step, a ways off from Hina but within visual range as she made a signal for Madoka & Yasu behind her to come to a stop.
She moved and directed her team to move into cover behind some foliage as they observed from their hidden vantage point as it appeared Hina was alone and squared off with what appeared to be a Jonin of Kiri.
Well, this is interesting....
Pakura considered her options, before she signaled non-verbally for Madoka & Yasu to stay put as she even produced a clone to watch over them before she vanished ahead.
-----
"Seems you are having some issues?"
A pair of Scorch fireballs rained down on the defensive fortress that Hama set up as she aimed to make her presence known as she appeared on a tree branch above the pair while she eyed Hina & Hama. A sly smirk on her face.
"Ladies. Lady Hyuga. A pleasure once more, seems you have your hands full here."
-----------
Holy shit! I might actually have an out here! If that head Hyuga shit doesn't run in I might have a cha...
Tayuya's optimism as the Jinchuriki appeared to possibly lay waste to everyone around them seemed short lived, as while these powerful enemies appeared before them Takato had been quick to act. Given where they stood, the environment had been shady and perfect for him to extend his shadow, which quickly connected to the large shadow they all stood under and would in theory work to try and ensnare the two Jinchuriki among the more questionable members of the party and work to ensnare them on the spot.
----------
Tomiko understood her orders and followed them to a T. Making sure to keep by Mori and his good side so she could give a verbal command quickly if need be.
Natually, she was silent as could be as she kept close to Katsuo as well and would wait to see how the situation played out. Which seemed chaotic in it of itself we s few familiar faces, not so familiar faces and troubling faces had all made their appearance.
Sound are here, figured as much. I wonder if Zaku is here? Not that it matters even he wouldn't be stupid enough to bring Kou along. He's just a kid.
Kiro....it seems he is with the Konoha team, but now that Oto-nin have come it might be a bit complicated. What will you do?
“All the way here for you, runt.” Kin spat at kiro’s feet. “Make sure it’s worth our-“
*Voom*
“...eh?”
“Well um...” Yukimaru blinked. “This is...unfortunate.”
Suddenly, a large shadow possession had suddenly been produced had locked in to both kin’s and yukimaru’s Shadows amongst several others. Not this parlor trick again! Kin growled looking at their feet, the shadow hitting hers...seeming to bend around the spit she had shot earlier at kiro’s feet. A grin spread across her face.
“Can’t leash this beastie, you worthless pest!!!!”
Suddenly...and quite appallingly, kin irked and appeared to vomit up a thick clear splash of acid from her mouth, splashing at her feet. The acid upon impact began to dissolve the shadow possession. It appeared she had grown more accustomed to this particular fighting style since they had last met. Kidomaru looked at it.
“Umm....kin....”
“What!?”
“The acid doesn’t just melt through chakra...”
“What do you mean by-“
*SNAP*
The branch that Kiro and Yukimaru stood on fell down due to the acid that burned the foundation away. It wasn’t clear which snapped first, the possession or the branch. Kin, who was further toward the trunk, was safe however, letting only those two perish for her mistake.
Yukimaru fell off the branch, due to a lack of being able to personally do otherwise. This tugged on all those who were on the shadow possession. Snapping was imminent, as it forced tayuya and takato to let it snap or fall spazzing on the ground.
......
Kidomaru didn’t seem shaken by Raiku at all. Instead, Kidomaru looked at raiku’s incoming sword slashes. He crawled along the tree trunk to face the other side. The slices hit the tree...and even with the tree protecting him...seems to make heavy cracks in his armor on the other side. It appears raiku’s sword broke through the tree in it’s swipes.
“The game? Ha! You are only a flunky in my game of atrcion.” Kidomaru snickered. “The match has already been decided!”
Ditching the tree trunk as it fell from raiku’s swipes, he emerged, swinging on his web, before revealing what he had crafted. It was a long pike with two funny looking fins with an intricate design on them, curved with hooked barbs and many lines carved into the groove.
He chucked the spear toward Raiku, the fins appearing to rattle mysteriously
As the Fire-nin was on his course towards Zaku, an irritating ringing noise began to fill his ears. He found he could only bite his inner cheek and grimace due to the inability to cover both ears. Fourtunately for him, his favorite flower girl came to his aid and allowed him to connect his attack, albiet with slightly more difficultly than he imagined.
Note to self, hug Sakura.
Tsuki
It happened in an instant, one minute Kai was having a normal conversation with his associate, the next, he's a bloody mess with a few more claw marks than he came in with. Tsuki glanced to Seiun before running to check the hunter-nin's wounds. They were far worse up close, and the absense of the team's medic causedTsuki to launch into a panic attack.
Ohmygod, ohmygod, he's bleeding....HE'S BLEEEING!! AND WHERE IS HAMA-SENSEI, I DON'T EVEN KNOW, THIS IS HER NEPHEW, BUT SHE DOESN'T SEEM TO ACT LIKE IT!
The panicked girl began pacing, hypervenalating and even holding back some tears due to her incrrasing amounts of stress. Tsuki wanted to curl up in hopes that maybe, just maybe, she'd find some refuge from her self-doubt. She took out her notebook and flipped to random sections in an effort to calm herself down. The page she landed on, ironically, belonged to none other but Hama Yuki. Deciding that this was better than conceding, Tsuki began to scan for anything helpful, and found the ice-needle jutsu. She lingered on it for a moment while she let reason back into her mind.
I originally learned this technique for healing, now's my chance to do so.
Tsuki closed rhe book and turned to Kai's bleeding wounds, shrugged, and resolved to make an attempt at healing Kai.
"Okay Kai, I'll try my hand at healing your wounds. Keep in mind that I'm not Hama-sensei," The whip-wielder whispered to her new paitent. Regardless of her nerves, the Yuki-nin created three ice needle and willed each to stitch up Kai's claw shaped wounds.
Though the Uchiha was first overcome by a range of emotions when he turned to see Kai get impaled by the talon claws, he didn’t actually get the time to react as the part of the branch Yukimaru and him were standing on fell off. Thinking fast, Kiro pulled out a wired kunai as he was falling and threw it at the tree to catch himself. Once Kiro swung over to the side of the tree, he added chakra to his feet to stand on the trunk.
Taking this moment to gather some of his thoughts, the Uchiha first checked to see if Kai was alright. It seemed he had landed through the Hōzuki and now some girl was attempting to stitch him up. Seeing Kai wasn’t dead managed to somewhat bring down the seething anger welling up inside of him. Which was good considering how unwise it would be to act rashly in such a precarious situation. Waiting to go along with however his team proceeded would probably be the safer play.
As for the situation, it seemed those two had been sent by the snake to receive him. It could be considered a great honor that a legendary shinobi such as Orochimaru saw him as a prize worth sending two of his valuable jinchuriki for. Unfortunately for them, Kiro wasn’t planning on paying his dues to the snake just yet. That meant he’d gladly help the others kill those swines. Tayuya included if she dared to betray them. Looking up at Kin specifically, who was still high up on the tree, Kiro muttered a barely audible warning only himself could hear.
“You’re going to pay for that...”
Hama saw the explosion from her oh so famous Boop Boom come into effect. The outcome? Uncertain. But what WAS certain was that out from here rear view, two of her octogonal plates were utterly ravaged to shambles by an oncoming fire attack. Oh?
Pakura stood, the famed warrior of the sand, amongst them. She seemed bound and determined to interfere with the battle. Hama, noticing the odds beginning to shift from playful fun, to reasonable and very much real threat.
“Oh hello there darling Pakura~” Hama waved with a sing song expression. “The sun from the desert is doing wonders for you complexion I see, but not so much your timing~”
There wasn’t anything Zaku could do. Taiyo at point blank range fired off a fireball justu. Since it wasn’t concussive at first do to the risk Taiyo would put himself in, it’s started off and a burst stream before erupting into a blazing fireball. Zaku was sent with it, burning a dirt streak through the ground with him. Kou watched On...yes wide in horror as Zaku was hit by the fireball head on.
*BOOM!*
The fireball erupted in a flame show of glorious embers. One of zaku’s Cheek guards flying off and landing in the dirt beside Taiyo, burnt a crisp coal color. Zaku himself was found, keeled over on the side of a fallen log. His skin was burnt and covered in black. His clothes were tattered and ripped, his left sleeve torn off. His ninja tools from his pouch, which was melted littered the ground. He was unconscious, he head propped up by the log.
Kou’s heart skipped a beat.
No....
This can’t be.
No!!
“Why did you have to do that?!?” Kou tearfully yelled at Taiyo.
The boy delivered a quick kick to taiyo’s knees before running over to Zaku, despite the very active fires all around. Kou was quick to stamp out the remaining smoldering fires and embers on zaku’s Body. He checked his pulse, and then put his ear up to his chest.
*...........bad.....ump....*
The heartbeat was faint, and getting fainter. Kou was driving into a panic.
“Help!! Anyone! He needs help!!” Kou screamed, looking down at Zaku. “B-boss...wake up... wake up!”
Kou’s stepbrother emerged from his pocket, the rat jumping on zaku’s body, standing on his hind legs, giving a loud squeak. It seemed determined in whatever it was saying to Kou
"Operation: True Shield."
Raiku kept on charging at Kidomaru as the pike was heading in his direction. However before it could hit him it changed directions and missed. Ramer which had been flying above him had sent a gust of wind to throw the projectile off course. Raiku had gotten closer and sent out two fire chakra slices on both sides of Kidomaru which caused his surroundings to be cut off from escaping. Then he tried to slash at his opponent at his opponent with the last flames left on his sword.
Hinagiku
Her first breath had dispelled the clone, and in the same breath —both literally and figuratively— Hina intended to deal with the paper bombs. The natural order of the world dictated that after every exhalation must come an inhalation. As her diaphragm loosened, expanding the volume of her lungs in preparation for oxygen, Hina amplified that specific action with her chakra. Targeting the location of the paper bombs, and with a surgical level of precision, she snatched away the air surrounding the explosives, expending her chakra to keep said vacuum...a vacuum.
As the explosions went off, devouring the air around them to fuel their fire and fury, they were left starved and malnourished. Instead of great explosions, they were more fierce little firecrackers. The weakened explosions washed over her as best they could, but the earth-styled chakra in her skill proved a bit more than they could handle.
While soot and dust had smeared itself onto her body, her appearance took more of a hit than she did.
"Sigh...children play so messily."
The Lady Hyūga crossed her arms, unimpressed. She did not move to take advantage of Pakura's appearance, not immediately, in any case, instead she redirected her attention to the location of the Sunagakure Jonin, and gave a polite curtsey.
"You'll have to forgive my distasteful appearance— I'll treat you to some tea to make up for it?"
Sagisō
"Jinchuriki..."
Wrinkling her nose in what —even she couldn't decide— was either sheer disdain or simple confusion, Sagisō got down to thinking. 'They sure did choose...quite the moment,' a quick glance around tallied them at four Konoha ninja, two prisoners, one junchuriki, and four Mist shinobi. In other words, including herself, she had double her opponent's forces.
'But when you take into account...', her curious magenta eyes landed on Kai, whose chest had been turned into a mangled mess. From the moment Kin's claws had ripped through Kai's chest, to about...the moment he opened his mouth again, she'd allowed herself to feel brief concern.
She had no beef with him, despite his many attempts to invert that, and took no real joy in watching him suffer. However, in the same vein, she had no love lost on the Yuki. Any positive impression she'd had of the boy as both a respectable opponent and one who shared similar ideals as her —an unwavering love for family— he had vigorously strangled to death during their brief incursion against the sound shinobi. She realized soon after their fleeting tenure as partners, that though their ideals seemed to manifest in similar ways, they were driven by different motivations.
Her eyelids fell, darkness blotting Kai from her vision. 'Not the time to stir in thought...at least, not these thoughts...'
Her eyes reopened, her brain picking up where it'd left off before it's tangent on Kai. The Sound Jinchuriki had aggressed the Mist as their first priority, striking down Kai and in doing so gave Sagisō an opportunity. Seeking to assess the situation quickly, Sagisō flipped on her Byakugan, instantly gaining a grasp on the situation in a 100m radius of her position.
Their 'side' contained four players, Takato, Shura, Furījia and herself. She could count on these people to stand by her side, but from there on out, nothing was a certainty.
She could try to influence that. As long as any member of team Mist was even half as fanatical as Kai was, they wouldn't take his injury lying down. There was a chance she could stoke the flames of their fury and guide it to her assistance, but she would need to get at least one of them to commit to the battle first. If Kai were still standing she would have pinned him with the role of bait-biter and called it a day, however, life had no intentions of being so easy.
Thus her attention was turned to the heart of team Mist. While Kai seemed to make the decisions —being, for lack of a more accurate word, the brain of the team— even the brain would play puppet when the heart was at stake, and the single Kunoichi who'd unknowingly wrapped her entire team around her little finger was Tsuki.
Even without her Byakugan Sagisō could read team Mist like a book. Though, perhaps that was less to her own credit and more to team Mist's detriment. From her own scuffle with both the second Yuki and the team's lightning user, Sagisō could pick up on the ambiguously naughty nature of their relationship —some sort of enslavement fetish she presumed— and knew that the lightning user would come to Tsuki's aid without a second thought.
She could also see the remnants of chakra in Tsuki's body, speckles of distinct color that could not hide within the girl's equally distinct chakra pallet. Those specks matched perfectly with the charka coloration of her latest opponent, Hyōryugetsu. Judging by the state of the muscles and tissue in the area, ' She got injured not too long ago...and it seems', attention shifting to Hyō, Sagisō concluded, 'she tried to heal it.'
It was a curious thing, for someone who appeared to be a medical ninja to not have healed their own injury before someone else could get to it. However, regardless of how the situation had played out at least a basic level of concern could be attributed.
As for Kai— it was Kai. Nothing more needs be said.
If Tsuki got involved in this battle, Sagisō had very good reason to believe the rest of team Mist would follow. That would double the count of allies— no!
Shaking her head, Sagisō reminded herself, not allies...merely cooperators. Although she had good reason to believe they would fight in a way that benefited her own team, they were not reliable enough to be called allies.
As for other potential allies...
She wanted to trust Kiro to join them, but she knew this situation could not be assessed based on emotion alone. However much she wished to believe otherwise, she knew there existed scenarios in which Kiro would be forced to go against them...willing or otherwise.
Her eyes quickly fell back to Kai, 'A hostage if I'd ever seen one. Kiro still cares about him, to choose between Kai's life and breaking off relations with the leaf..?'
Annoyance filled her veins, 'As he is now, not only is he dead-weight, but he's also become a liability to both teams...' Talk about a big bark and no bite. Even as the most counterproductive person on the field, he still had the gall to be cursing at the Sound shinobi.
She would need to keep an eye on him, lest he bumbles himself into a collective loss for the lot of them.
As long as she could prevent the above situation, and given the look of bloody murder Kiro already had on his face, she could safely place Kiro into the 'allies' section of the field, effectively raising their definite number to five, tentatively nine if the Mist stuck around.
Even now, when her mind had woven with the spindle of logic a tapestry of Kiro's betrayal, her heart knitted with threads of guilt and needles of melancholy, the crochet of empathy. Betrayer he might be, but traitorous he was not. It was neither conniving nor deception that led the Uchiha, but instead a misguided desire.
The past three months, especially the five days after their battle, had allowed her insight into Kiro's personality. Though...even without all those months of knowing him, it appeared she had a better grasp of who he was than he himself did.
She allowed herself a moment of reminiscence, her mind rerolling the film of her memory, stopped all those months ago in the Chūnin Exams. It was there that they'd first met, Kiro and herself, and it was also there that they first argued. She could still remember fondly, the way in which he'd presented his views. She'd tried to correct him there...but clearly she'd failed.
Kiro had just been far too stubborn at the time...
==========================================
“From your earlier statement, I’m guessing you think I can see the future.” Kiro closed his eyes as he acted like he saw something. “Wow, I just saw complete darkness. I wonder what that means.” Kiro spoke after he opened his eyes, clearly trying to mock Sagisō. “How the hell am I or anyone for that matter going to know what happens to them in the next ten, twenty, or however many years in the future?!” Kiro questioned in a more serious tone. “People always thinking about the future. If you look so far ahead, you’ll never see what’s right in front of you.” Kiro stated as he looked down at Hashima’s body, feeling no remorse at all. Instead, he felt a sense of proudness at what he accomplished.
============================================
It was with such conviction that Kiro had once uttered those words, and though Sagisō didn't exactly disagree with them, she had given him some advice to keep him on the right path. Three lines:
  1. 'In this world, there's only one thing required to kill, and that is the intent to kill.'
  2. 'As long as in the end, you're at peace with yourself, knowing that all the blood you've shed was of your own choice, not because you were a victim of circumstances.'
  3. 'To believe completely in your own actions and goals, your nindo, regardless of the outcome and the load that accompanies it...that is what it means to be a shinobi, that it was it means to be one who endures.'
She hadn't been heeded.
"How the hell am I or anyone for that matter going to know what happens to them in the next ten, twenty, or however many years in the future?!”
As Kiro's words echoed in her mind, she found herself giggling at the irony of it all. Maybe he couldn't see into the future, 'But it looks like I can..."
To be at peace with himself, knowing that every choice he made was one of his own and not forced by circumstances...Kiro was still figuring it out.
He had managed to throw himself into the exact situation she'd warned him. His own desires had led him astray, forcing him to do things he never wanted to do. To some, this turn of events made him a traitor, but for her...he was just confused.
Seep down, she knew that the person known as Kiro Uchiha was more than meets the eye. Once he found his way...he would truly grow. She had wanted to support that belief with nothing but good intentions, but now found herself forced to cast doubt on him...
Looking over to Kiro with but the corner of her eye, she mouthed silently "...I'm sorry."
As for the other prisoner...little Koshō —she would require more deliberate action.
Out of her initial count of 4 Konoha-shinobi, 4 Kiri-shinobi, 2 prisoners and 1 Jinchuriki, she felt it was possible for 9 of them to end up facing the sound jinchuriki. There was, however, a few more things to take into account.
First, Henshina —Sagisō had little to say on this topic. She'd only known the Jinchuriki for all of 3 minutes, it was ridiculous to try and assess her.
Second, her initial count had been wrong. In the very corners of her Byakugan, she could pick out six more variables who could influence the situation: unknown variables in the Iwa shinobi (Karma truly did come full circle, she'd watched on as they fought just yesterday and it seemed the act had caught up to her), and two very welcomed variables in her sisters the 13th and 35th ranked Stars.
That being said, Sagisō had no intention of addressing either of those groups, lest she tip of the sound jinchuriki in doing so. Instead, she turned to Shura and snorted dismissively.
"Hmpf, Plan? Who told you I had a plan?" With a slight edge in her voice, she quipped back. "Till now...I was just exercising my patience—" the knife-edge of Sagisō's gaze pressed against Kin's throat, slowly bleeding red as the magenta of her pupils replaced the white of the Byakugan.
"—and it just ran out."
When Sagiso responded to Shura’s comment, the Hyuga nodded. “Hmm I see.” He said quietly. He noticed the tone shift in the other Hyuga’s words. “She seems pretty worked up right now. Well, I don’t blame her.” He thought. Shura tensed his eyes, veins starting to appear around them as he activated his Byakugan. Shura did not know who the enemies in front of him were beside the fact that they were from the sound judging from their headbands, but he did note an ominous chakra emitting from one of them.
Henshina was standing behind team Sagiso and observed the scene as Kin and Yukimaru shows up and proceeded go knock Kai away like a rag doll. “Gyuki, those two...” “Yeah, Saiken and Isobu. Seems that snake got his hands on them.” Henshina and Gyuki exchanged in their minds. “I should go help them, fighting against a Jinchuriki is dangerous.” Henshina said. “Wait fool! Don’t do anything rash.” Gyuki shouted, but is was useless as Henshina ran up to the group. “Hey! I can help!”
Amari heard the commotion as two new factors entered the scene. She could tell that the Yuki from before seemed to be pretty badly injured. She wondered why none of the other people seemed to be attacking the newcomers yet. Obviously, the pair weren't from the mist, but the leaf also did not seem to overly fond of the unidentified Shinobi. She decided she would need more than just her ears, and she paid attention to everything around her, and she could feel the overwhelming amount of chakra that was now present in the area, the two newcomers would have had to be extremely powerful in order to resonate chakra as they did. She decided it was time to prepare for battle. She still wouldn't join either team quite yet, so that way she could surprise their enemy. "Koki'o, make sure Lesath and Shaula are prepared, this will not be an easy battle."
Raiku had dodged the spear successfully, much to kidomaru’s amusement. It’s all going according to plan...! Upon the flame chakra slices coming toward him, he dipped over to the left, right into one of the slices rather than get pinned down in one spot. The armored plates took the hit, breaking and finally falling off of him, leaving only a few black scorch marks on his clothing and headband. Rather lose the armor than take the sword strike. He then shot a thread up to a nearby tree branch, raising himself up from the ground.
His sharingan can’t dodge what he can’t see...now...play time is over!
The spear, now behind Raiku and away from his eyes, fired a thick golden stake from the back of it, concealed from sight! Only being a foot behind the Uchiha, out of view of his eyes, and already distracting his attention from the front...it was a perfect trap for the perfect set of circumstances. It was already decided....
Raiku heard a Whoosh! coming from behind him and spun around to see the incoming projectile. Although the attack was in slow motion, the Uchiha himself was even slower. All he could do was move his leg to try to escape but he still got hit. The stake got stuck in his ankle, though not to deep in. He promptly took out though he hissed in pain from the pierce. Raiku grabbed a kunai and coated it with fire chakra and stuck into the pike.
Just in case there are any things inside like with that shuriken.
He left it there so there couldn't be anything coming out of the hole and then faced Kidomaru. Ramer flew above him as Raiku took out more kunai. His summon caused the weapons to be coated in wind chakra and then the Uchiha threw them towards his opponent who was airborne.
Sagisō ~~Flashback
The light of noon poured through the metal bars. Earlier, during the morning hours, a team of maids had come to patch her up. The process has been swift if only slightly uncomfortable, and her leg had been treated with salves and medical ninjutsu. The nerves had been patched up and were expected to been replaced with fresh new cells within the week. However, as opposed to her own peaceful medical check-up, it seemed Kiro's was much more interesting, after all, the Cheif medical officer attending to Kiro had been Rakūsupā...
Rakūsupā ~~Flashback
Marching with false-bravado, Rakū made her way into Kiro's cell, flanked by two senior maids. Her facial muscles were taut, but her exact expression was hidden behind the surgeon's mask she was wearing. Matching her mask was a full-on Nurse's unfirm; a white blouse and button-up vest (the crest of the Hyūga woven onto the right breast), complementary pencil skirt, and even a small hat emblazoned with a caduceus.
Her hands were covered with white gloves that extended to her elbows, and her legs were fully clad in a matching pair of stockings. Notably, she wasn't wearing shoes, so the dainty outline of her toes could be seen stretching the diaphanous fabric as she walked. This was because between all buildings in the Hyūga Clan existed wooden corridors, and it was frowned upon to smear the wood with mud found on shoes.
With her attire matching the white of her eyes, Rakūsupā was a full-on snow angel. However, this snow angel had thorns, coming in the form of the case of needles, three in total, that she toted in her hands. Carefully, she prepared the first needle piercing a small bottle of clear liquid (one of three bottles) that she was carrying. She filled the needle's gauge and then turned to Kiro, "I-it's b-better-r if you d-don't re-resist!"
HOLY SHIT!
Inner Sakura expressed with words before than she ever could how they felt about what they saw, as the fireball connected and had some scorching effects. Sakura could not help but wince as Zaku flopped down and that kid Kou scurried over as he begged for someone anyone to help Zaku.
So either way, Sakura had to make a decision here and now. Zaku as far as she was concerned was the scum of the Earth, and in truth if he had been alone and the only factor to consider she'd have little reservation leaving him to die out. Granted, Sakura had never been fully comfortable with that reality of the ninja life but still she had come to accept it and if there was anyone who deserved this fate it was the scum of this group within Oto.
But....Sakura still had that innocence to her that the years had yet to naturally wilt away, but more importantly as a medical ninja she had been taught that it was her job in part to help people; even those deemed the "enemy" if the situation called for it. While an open field had been outside such a situation, Zaku had aided her once before in the tunnels during the invasion. After she analyzed the situation, she came to a decision as she jumped down to him but turned to Taiyo.
"Go help Raiku! I'll provide support as soon as I can!" Sakura called out to Taiyo as Raiku might have needed as she moved by Zaku and Kou.
"I-I can heal him. I am a medic. But I'll need some time and cover, if your friends here have any desire to leave here with your team in one piece then have them stand down. Then you can leave with him after I finish this..." Sakura urged Kou as she made her status to him clear but also provided a condition or at least what she needed for her service. Hopefully, it'd get Oto off their back if they had any semblance of self-preservation what so ever.
"A generous offer to be sure Lady Hyuga, but I think now is not the time to worry over make-ups as you two seemed to have had quite the tussle here." Pakura replied with a toothy smirk as her eyes shifted from Hina over to Hama.
"Oh on the contrary, I believe I made some good time. Missed a bit of the fun but that only helps to make a more dramatic entrance. And I am one for the flare of things Lady Yuki." Pakura countered back as she had been able to get a sense of what happened here, and had that knowing look as she was curious how Hama would proceed with this.
-----------
"Well, if it was gonna be this easy that's be asking for a bit too much." Takato muttered as Kin and Yukimaru fell rather ungracefully from their prone position as Sagiso assumed a cold glare while he moved into a defensive position; as he avoided kicking off the fight but had been ready for when that pin would have inevitably dropped.
Which left Tayuya as the lone woman. She had her flute gripped in hand as she was in a defensive position, but had yet to act. Either on behalf of this rag-take team or for her Oto-allies. Memories flashed in this period as time seemed to draw still for the Oto-prisoner as the words of a certain Sannin...
Come with me my dear, and together we can show this cruel world what you really are and burn it all down to make something beautiful.
...and as she clutched that seal around her Curse Mark, the words of that Jonin who interrogated her.
You are more than just his pawn, and that's all he sees you as. All he ever could see anyone as, and you have potential to be so much more...
"Shut up. She doesn't know a thing about me. None of them do." Tayuya cursed, as she muttered to herself. As she seemed to have her mind made up, but would wait to pick her spot and what she decided only time would tell...
As Darui had led his literal flock high above the sky, he used his newfound bird-eye-view to observe the field below while Aisha continued to lead them along as they soon flew high overheard inconspicuously and observed what appeared to be the works of some sort of battle.
One where their target had been, along with the Team that had acquired her for the moment and...had Darui seen things or had his newfound bird eyes deceived them. While Kenji & Aisha had been clueless from a relative sense about who the Oto-pair as especially Kenji had been focused on a familiar prone body he squinted to observe along with the other players there. Darui recognized the pair as Orochimaru's allies and fellow Jinchuriki who aided him in his efforts to try and dispose of the Yellow Flash.
"Do not jump in yet, we need to get a sense of what is happening. Understood?" Darui asked Aisha, Kenji & Taji as the latter two gave a nod while they flew in formation. Darui already began to process this new development and given the fact Henshina displayed open hostility to her Kumo-status while being a sought after prize of these nations combined with the fact Oto had become the new common enemy of the ninja world made a new possibility enter the Jonin's mindset.
Well, boss wanted a Jinchuriki back. He never specified he needed one specific Jinchuriki...
Flashback
Tayuya had wandered off as she intended to go by her room, but along the way she caught what appeared to be a beautiful garden within the compound and saw that other Hyuga whose name she had already forgotten about observed the scene.
It was...beautiful, much more so than her previous life she'd rather forget or even anything within the Oto-compounds Orochimaru called home. Though she'd never admit it as she walked over there all the same.
"Didn't peg you as a flower lover. Then again, you seem to have a soft spots for fur balls." Tayuya muttered as she made her presence known to the Hyuga who had all but tied her to a leash here given he controlled the seal around the Curse Mark.
Flashback
Shura was still focused on the flowers in the greenhouse when the sudden appearance of Tayuya snapped him back into reality. He turned towards the Hyuga captive. “You talk like you know me.” He said.
Thinking about Tayuya’s comment about fur balls., Shura assumed she was talking about the cat. “Where has that cat run off to anyway.” He thought for a second before looking back towards Tayuya. “So what are you doing here? I didn’t take you for a flower lover either.” He said.
Due to the Leaf-nin's proximity to the fireball, he found himself closing his eyes as the projectile was making its way towards Zaku. When it hit, Taiyo was blown back slightly, although compared to his opponent, he got the long end of the stick. As the dust settled and the FBS master's eyes began to peer open, he was able to witness the full effects of his attack.
HOT DAMN, key word being HOT!
Once again, Taiyo had amazed himself with the power that he held, although the feeling of accomplishment didnt last for long.
“Why did you have to do that?!?”
Suddenly, a little kid decided to show his face and deliver a minor blow to Taiyo's knees, and then as insult to injury, went to check up on Zaku.
What the fuck?! I have several questions! But most importantly, is that kid Zaku's? HOW?! WITH WHO?!
As the kid called for help, Taiyo's heart began to hurt for the boy; he had realized that whoever this boy was, he must've looked up to Zaku, for whatever reason. He found himself somewhat relieved when Sakura came to Kou's aid and heal the scorched sound-nin. Taiyo rose to his feet and ran to assist Raiku as per Sakura's instructions.
Kid, for your sake, I hope Zaku comes back to you.
Fourtunately for Raiku, the trip wasn't long; help fot the Uchiha arrived and was began to scan the situation.
Maybe Raiku here can handle Mr. Unfriendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, but Ill be prepared just in case I am called to the battle.
Flashback
At the sound of footsteps, the Uchiha prisoner had expected to be greeted by a set of books. Instead, he found himself watching as three nurses casually opened up his cell and walked in. One of them happened to be an eerily similar miniature sized girl. Looking down into the white eyes of the snow angel who stood before him, Kiro was reminded of the demon spawn who had tried to purify his soul and capture it with a bucket. ‘This child. Could she be...’
Rakūsupā however, wasted no time in revealing her objective. She had not one, but three needles on her. They couldn’t be for Sagisō as she had already received her check up earlier. One of these needles pierced into a bottle and filled the syringe with some clear liquid. ‘Wait. Three Nurses. Three needles. Three bottles. Coincidence maybe?’ The Uchiha could only wonder what their true intentions were.
If Kiro's quickly assembled theory was correct, then this girl was the same little demon who assaulted him only moments after he had awoken from a comatose state. It was only after a talk with Lady Hinagiku that he learned Rakū had been taking care of him. Kiro had actually meant to make peace with her but never got to it. He supposed the first step to rectify that blunder would be attempting not to scare her off this time.
“Fine then Rakū. Don’t worry, I won’t resist.” The Uchiha said as he gently patted the girl on the head, hoping to calm her nerves. Kiro was taking a risky bet here. For all he knew, that clear liquid could be some type of deadly poison meant to put him to sleep... for good!
Various PoV's
Some people didn't like being touched. That was a simple fact of life. When interacting with another person, especially one of the opposite sex, it was critical that little quirks like these were known. A commonly suggested method was to place one's hand somewhere casual, like the arm, for a short period of time and gauge the other person's reaction. If they were fine with it, they wouldn't mind, but if they grew uncomfortable you would quickly notice and be grateful you hadn't done anything more intimate.
Kiro apparently hadn't gotten the memo. Sagisō grimaced, casually invaded Kiro's privacy with her Byakugan, watching as the Uchiha went straight for the young girl's head when she was clearly terrified of him.
To his credit, he was at least trying to be friendly, even if it was in a 'creepy uncle' kinda way.
For his efforts, he received well...
Sagisō sighed, watching a Rakū froze like a deer caught in the headlights. Picking up one of her books, she chucked it against the wall, receiving a satisfying thud.
"How about you turn on that Uchiha charm Mr. Smooth Criminal!", advising sardonically Sagisō alluded to two things. One she was making a light jab at Kiro, and two she was reminding him that most people viewed him as just that. A criminal.'
Which ten-year-old girl would be happy to have a criminal walk up to her and start patting her head?
-----------------------------------------------------
"Do you...really think they'll be fine my Lady?"
Elsewhere in the village, the head of the maid division addressed the Lady Hyūga, the duo currently in a carriage destined for the Aburame clan.
"Ohh you worry too much, they'll have a ball together!"
"But...we did just send a 10-year-old surgeon to treat the Uchiha... Rakū is the most talented medical ninja we've trained, but she's a bit...inexperienced, no? What if she messes up?"
Despite Hina's confidence in her aide, the Head maid pushed her point, her reservations not yet soothed. She gazed intently at Hinagiku, wondering what the woman could be planning with a ploy like this one.
A silence descended in the carriage, lasting only a moment until the vacuum of sound was filled by Hinagiku's voice. "Well...isn't that what the anesthesia is for?"
"..." Natsu gaped, disbelief on her face at the Mistress' insinuations.
Kou’s eyes lit up as he saw Sakura enter the fray, someone whom he previously hadn’t known was even here. He remembered her saving him from the mummy looking Dosu, who nearly killed him not too long ago.
“Pink hair!” Kou cried out. “He’s hurt. Real bad...”
After she explained that she knew some medical skills, she told him to take Zaku and leave along with the sound ninja. Kou looked discouraged at the ground.
“I tried to tell them...but no one would listen to me. Now look what happened.”
The rat, still standing on Zaku’s chest went on guard as soon as Sakura came close, squeaking wildly. Kou quickly shushed him.
“We don’t have to resort to that...”
Kin cackled, looking at the ever so eager Sagiso.
“Talk is cheap, bimbo! You won’t be doin’ a lot of that where you are going!”
Kin and Yukimaru sprung into action. Yukimaru, in Freefall, landed racefukly on the ground. He calmly slid a foot across the ground and flicked a loose hair back into place as if he were just on a morning stroll.
“Water style: Blue rising.”
The ground began to shake underneath them. Suddenly, out of the ground came large waves of water, pouring over the battlefield. Using the well water that was underneath the ground, Yukimaru’s aim was to swamp everyone around, and hopefully breaking takato’s purpose of shadow possession. That’s when he spotted a familiar red haired woman.
“....could that be?”
“BlAAAAAaaaaaaaAAAAARggGGG!!!!”
Kin grossly puked up a white sphere of acid, dripping it’s substance below. She quickly fished out a bell from her bag, throwing it into the sphere. Once in the sphere, the water churned, making the Bell ring many times. To all those that heard it, the image of kin became ever so distorted, several images of her appearing like a band of harpies.
“You’ve gotta be joking, kid!”
Kidomaru made a wet ball of spider silk in his mouth, spiting it out at the kunais. He slapped alll of them in a bundle but one, which slightly grazed his shoulder. Only slightly perturbed by the stranfing hit, Kidomaru leered at the wound that Raiku has received. He won’t be able to run with THAT in his ankle!
“This is the end of the line for you!”
Kidomaru shot out thread towards a tree near Raiku, before using it to propel himself toward the Uchiha. He resided four daggers of spider silk, aiming to stab the Uchiha and rid the team of his annoyance
Raiku watched as Kidomaru spit out a wet ball of silk to block the kunais and did hand seals while the Sound ninja was distracted on his previous attack. Then he said quietly, "Operation: Slice Sphere." He kept on watching Kidomaru as he propelled himself towards the Uchiha and took out four daggers to try and attack him. Then Raiku grinned and shouted, "Fire Style: Flame Missiles Jutsu!"
Suddenly a stream of fire burst out of his mouth and split into 6 explosive streams to attack his opponent point blank. At the same time, Ramer sent out a gust of wind with chakra so he can transform it's shape. It caused a sphere of wind to form around the Sound Ninja that allowed entrance for the streams and fueled it as well as to make it so if he tries to escape Kidomaru would have to go through it and get injured by the strong winds slicing at him.
All while the chaos was going on, the rouge shinobi was tsking his time to relax, take a look in the sky, and have a good time. Sure the sound attacked Kai, but Tsuki was working on it. Speaking of that, the aforementioned Yuki-nin was intently focused on the movement of the needles and thread. The stiching wasnt perfect, and anyone who was experienced of being treated with the technique or using the technique themselves could see the imperfections, but regardless, the stitching was complete.
"Alright Kai I'm done," Tsuki softly whispered to her fellow Yuki, who had been surprisingly cooperative in the proccess, "Can you stand, and more importantly, can you fight? Because if you can, I think there's a certain sound ninja that you could try getting revenge on, if not, just tell me if you're okay," Her tone was soft and comforting, like a nurse to a paitent who just woke up from a coma, she then decided to study the battlefield in hopes she could support the Hyūga.
Shura was standing along with the rest of his team when he saw Yukimaru use the water below the ground to unleash a giant rapid of waves at them. At the same time, he noticed a unnaturally loud ringing sound over the massive gushing sounds of the waves. At that moment, he felt his vision start to waver. "Oh, must be a genjutsu." He thought. "Lets deal with that later." He added, turning his focus back towards the main threat in front of them, the giant waves. Reaching into his flak jacket, Shura pulled out a scroll. "Looks like we'll finally get to use this thing." He thought before throwing the scroll at the rapids. Shura performed a hand sign and released a powder like substance from the scroll onto the water.
Fuījia
Seeing the torrent of waters rushing towards them, Furījia was slightly flustered. She froze for a moment, wondering what the best course of action would be. It wasn't unlike Shura's scroll went flying into the waves that she remembered, 'Uwa! I have one of those too!'
Pulling the sealed scroll from her pouch, she chucked it into the waves releasing its contents in the water. Very quickly, with the addition of two scrolls of make-shift cement mix, the waters were dyed a dusty grey.
Turning his attention down to the raging waters below, Kiro watched as both Shura and Furījia unleashed the cement mix from the scrolls. ‘Oh. So we’re doing that now.’ Immediately realizing what was being set up, Kiro jumped off the tree and quickly formed a set of hand seals in under a second to perform Fire Release: Fire Stream midair.
The Uchiha created a small stream of fire and breathed it downwards onto the murky water. By doing this, the sweltering heat of the flames would harden the cement mix within the water, effectively creating a wall of concrete. As for himself, Kiro planned to land on his team’s side of the field, hoping to not get caught in any potential crossfire.
Furījia
While Kiro hardened the cement mix into a solid wall, the youngest Hyūga was rummaging through her ninja pouch retrieving Kunai and a string of paper bombs. Although the bell's ringing distorted her vision, it was nigh impossible for her to mix an entire wall. Jumping back slightly, she let loose her Kunai,, the soft thuds if the weapons hitting the wall drowned about by the sounds of the battlefield.
Shura watched as Furijia also decided to deploy her scroll as well as Kiro jumping over after hearing the cement mixture into concrete. Seeing the giant wave now turned concrete wall in front of him, Shura reaches down his left shoulder and grabbed a Kunai laced with an explosive tag that was attached to his upper arm. He took a glance around his team and noticed Furijia having the same idea. Launching the Kunai at the newly formed wall, Shura aimed to blow up the construct of concrete. The distorted vision mattered little when the target was as big as it was.
Sagisō
Like a well-oiled machine, the team of Konohagakure ninja played off each other's attacks, leading up to the finale. Explosions rocked the cement wall, breaking it into chunks and fragments of jagged cement. Meanwhile, Sagisō spun a Fuma Shuriken in her hand, paper bombs littering one side of the Fuma.
Slicing through the air, she sent the large ninja star curving towards the fragmented cement wall. The paper bombs on its blade erupted, explosions sweeping those jagged fragments and propelling them with explosive force towards the two Jinchuriki. The attack was hardly aimed, instead, it was the wide-scale propulsion of metal and rock fragments sweeping towards the Jinchuriki and the bell.
Takato had felt that familiar ringing within his ears as the waves appeared though his team worked to try and remove them with an explosive cement as Takato had been quick to act as he pulled a kunai from his special pouch.
As much of a pain it had been, Takato had been familiar enough with it to know how to dispose of it.
Takato had done his best to ignore the Kins as his eye never left the acid as he formed some hand signs, which has been enough to cause his teeth to grit form the pain. Tayuya also had began to move her hand, given Takato had preemptively placed a shadow within her to the latter's knowledge mere moments ago which caused her to curse. As she had a flute in hand which caused it to bump into her hand so she could not make a jutsu like Takato. Not that she could given she lacked knowledge of his style but in any event Takato would quickly toss his kunai to the acid ball. However, given the sounds of the bell the kunai appeared to have just missed...
Slice
Till a shadow extension on both sides of the kunai cut through the acid around the bell as the kunai shot towards Kin. Whether it had been real or not mattered little to Takato as he aimed to disrupt the Genjutsu at its source before he lost hold on Tayuya.
Kai growled, sitting up as his wound was sealed up shockingly well by Tsuki. He didn’t know the young Yuki had such medical knowledge, but that was for another time. Kai looked up at the situation growing with the jinchurki.
“We need to intervene...!”
That’s when Kai fell to the ground, his brain seeing multiple duplicates of targets, trees, and other such things. He looked at his hands, saturated with the fluid from hyo. He had heard of the hallucinogenic properties that the hozuki had, but he never thought they were real. At this point, it was apparent Kai wasn’t going to be fighting anybody.
“The hozuki...what is this....?”
........
Kidomaru, seeing the reinvigorated raiku, was disturbed to say the least. The fire streams Raiku emitted were a surprise to the spider ninja. Rushing for a counter, he gave up his wepaons, putting them in front of him and sealed them together with the glob of spit he had created earlier with the several kunai trapped inside. Together this created a cobbled together shield.
The shield took the hit directly, cracking and snapping at the fire, before being set ablaze. Though It barley survived the hit, it was constantly burning to the point of uselessness. The wind barrier created several small cuts, around a dozen on his back, arms, and legs. Kidomaru cast it aside as he landed at raiku’s location. He wrapped his arms around the Uchiha, grinning only centimeters away from his face.
“Your trapped in my web now, kid. It’s game over!”
Suddenly, webbing bursted from each of his fingertips and his mouth. This would seek to wrap Raiku in a moist cocoon, immobilizing and removing Raiku from the battle entirely
”oh...”
Yukimaru was saddened at the sight of his water being turned into cements. This made him seem almost depressed, his hair hanging low. That’s when an explosion occurred with cement debris caused by the enemy team. He gave a long sigh.
“Earth style, Terra wall...”
He didn’t like using earth justu, as he much preffered using a more delicate and precise combat technique. But away he went, stomping his foot on the ground and softening the blow. He looked about at who was responsible.
“That was...pretty annoying...please don’t do that again.”
Yukimaru then closed his eyes, holding out his hand. A nearby tree began to wither away, it’s water being sipohoned into the air. Yukimaru gave a deep breath, turning the water into a small, super condensed sphere.
“Water style, iron core.”
With the hand held sphere, Yukimaru shoves it at the earth wall. The earthwall was suddenly throw at a tremendous speed at Sagiso and Fujira.
“Nyhahahahahaha!!!!”
The kins laughed like a mad horde of crazed hyenas, leaping across the battlefield. The kunai becoming lost in the swarm, corroded and a mere hunk of metal. Several of them rushing toward nearly every ninja outside Yukimaru, obstructing their vision with their bodies as they made a rush with their talons. One of these kins with a white collar seemed to flank Shura from behind in a gashing movement, another with a red collar leaped to slice Sagiso, while one with a purple collar went for a impailing move on takato’s forehead
Raiku was a bit surprised at Kidomaru deciding to wrap his arms around him but stayed calm. He just looked at his opponent’s grinning face that was right in front of him. And looked right into his that face’s eyes with his Sharingan. Those blood-red eyes that have said to be able to control a tailed beast and were used for the attack on Konoha all those years ago now pierced right into the soul of the Kidomaru. As the two eyes met a linked was form. This link was of chakra to try and affect the Spider ninja’s mind.
The perfect opportunity... and Raiku wasn’t about to waste it. His 3 tomoe Genjutsu was the strongest possible of the Uchiha known to most people, besides ones casted from those more experienced in doing so than he was. It was quite simple the effect if the invasion on Kidomaru’s mind was successful.
The pain from those cuts would increase significantly and he would lose enough strength that Raiku could slip away from his grasp before he got hit with the webbing while the Sound ninja would think he was successful. Finally he’d bring his sword to his opponent’s neck and would watch Kidomaru carefully if he tried to use chakra or move.
....what?
Kidomaru suddenly tensed up in pain. His back felt as if it were boiling. His arms twitched, holding firm and shaking in pain.
What is this?!?!
“Gahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!”
Kidomaru closed the cocoon on Raiku, sloppily but firmly. After he did so, he cut off the view of the sharingan from his face. But even so, the pain continued. Kidomaru slumped over on a tree’s trunk, two hands grabbing his head, two others scratching into the bark of the tree or of pain.
“Damn....DAMN...NGGGHHHHHH!!!!”
Even as they pain slowly dwindled away, his sounds of pain were old enough to be heard, the spider ninja not even grabbing his bearings as he wiped away his watery eyes and rubbed them throughly
Seeing the concrete shrapnels fly at the sound Jinchuriki duo but get blocked by Yukimaru’s earth wall, Shura lowered his stance. That was when the multitude of Kins began their assault. “Tch, now this genjutsu has become an annoyance.” He said to himself as he saw all the Kins jump around, using their bodies to block him and his team’s field of vision alongside the visual distortion. But that didn’t mean Shura hadn't notice one of the Kins attack him directly. “Shame this is auditory genjutsu instead of visual, would have made this a bit easier.” The Hyūga thought to himself as he jumped forward to dodge Kin’s strike.
Spinning on his heel, Shura made a few hand signs and shot a small stream of wind from his mouth and whipped it around to increase the likelihood to hit. He would also whip the air stream on the earth wall rushing towards Sagiso and Furijia in his motion.
