"Should i?Or should i help him?I wanna win,but i really dont wanna leave a teammate behind. Its too overwhelming!"She screamed out."I can't decide whether to help him,and possibly loose my scroll or if i should run and hope he's alright.I don't like getting attached to someone,it makes it so hard to do something they wouldn't want!"Her heart was pounding, she couldn't decide. She might very well fall into a trap if she took too long deciding.I'm not thinking straight,i can't let feelings get the best of me.But i always get attached, there's never been a time when i don't get attached to someone even if i dont show it or treat them right,Kilka thought to herself.I can't choose!I wish this exam never happened, its breaking me and making me care about what happens to others!Other people are stupid, they cant think right, they think about others instead of putting themselves first like they should.

‘And how quickly they fall apart...’ Kiro knew the genjutsu would work but he didn’t think it would go to this extent. Watching Kilka break down was just an added bonus. With the genjutsu, Taiyo shouldn’t be waking up anytime soon. Now it was just Kilka for Kiro deal with. She had let her guard down and Now was the time to take advantage of it.

In a flash, Kiro was up behind Kilka, with a kunai to her neck. “Make any small move and I’ll slit your throat open and let you bleed out to death.” Kiro whispered in a dark tone into Kilka’s ear. Then he threw the fish over to Taiyo’s unconscious body for insurance. Should Kilka somehow break free, Kiro would activate the explosive tag on the fish.

“Now do as I ask and I’ll let you go.” Kiro spoke, turning his attention back to Kilka. “Hand over yours scrolls.” Kiro ordered the girl, tightly clenching the kunai in his hand. He didn’t want to kill anyone but he wouldn’t hesitate in the slightest if Kilka didn’t listen to him. Hopefully one of them had an Earth scroll...

"I-i only have a hea-heaven scr-scroll.How do i know that if i do as you say,you wo-won't ki-kill me any-anyway?Lets make a deal,if i do give you my hea-heaven scroll, you let us fr-free and get rid of the tr-trap you put on the fi-fish so i can eat it."Kilka said, doing her best to sound like a scared idiot.Hah!Fool, once he lets us go i'll kill him anyway! If he's dumb enough to let me live that is,Kilka thought. If he knew me better,he'd know i'm not the type to ever let a enemy live if i know what they're capable of,and i'd never truly give into the enemy. He did almost break me though, make me start to care about others, that's reason enough to kill him.Unless he sticks to his word, then i'll just badly injure him,and push him to his breaking point, that'll show him.

Lako stepped into a clearing and darted behind cover on the far side, he took a step forward and snapped a dry twig."I'm such an idiot!" He muttered sharply under his breath. But the sound of the stick breaking had given him an idea.

In no time at all he had a fire going in what appeared to be a well sheltered area. But little steel tripwires blocked all the exits and entrances like a spiders web. "If someone steps or touches a tripwire I should be able to feel it then send out an electrical current that is strong enough to paralyse anyone for a few minutes, and then I sneak forward and nab their earth scroll." For the first in a while a beginning of a smile crept onto Lakos face.

Taiyo struggled to get up, but no matter how hard he tried, he could not force his body up to help Kilka. He felt well rested, which only added to his suffering.
I'm such an idiot, I should have kept my mouth shut and left when I had the chance. I also should have gotten sleep so I wasn't weakened, now Kilka is going to suffer because I can't wake up. Dammit! The genin angrily lamented to himself and in real time, he was mumbling incomprehensible nonsense, hoping that he could force himself awake.

"Well aren't we energetic?" Yasu snickered at Tomiko. On one hand people with high energy had a track record of annoying him due to the fact he usually had low energy. However, on the other hand Tomiko's energy would almost definitely prove useful here. I'll just let her do her thing.

"Okay then I'll follow you, lead the way!"

“No.” Kiro answered coldly. “You’re my hostage now and I’ll decide what to do with you. You either listen to me or I’ll kill you.” He stated, bringing the kunai closer to her neck, emphasizing his point. He could hear Taiyo mumbling something but Kiro doubted that he would be getting up anytime soon. If he did, Kiro would activate the explosive tag on the fish. Considering Taiyo’s proximity to it, the explosion would cause major damage, if not kill him.

Either way, Kiro had to hurry up. He quickly checked the scroll Kilka had to make sure she wasn’t lying. “Heh, I’ll be keeping this.” Kiro said as he used his free hand to place it in his pocket.

It only took a few short moments for Kiro to tie Kilka’s hands up with a wire, rendering them useless for the time being. Now came the risky part. “Fine, since you didn’t lie to me, I’ll let you go. But as soon as I drop my kunai, I want you to run in the other direction. If you don’t, I’ll activate the tag and it’ll blow your boyfriend to pieces.” Kiro warned Kilka while performing the activation sign with his free hand. Soon after, he pulled the kunai away from her neck and awaited Kilka’s move.

Kenji knew he was in a no win situation. Given his decision to attack from the air, which if he made it through this would have admitted was a terrible idea against a Wind-style specialist, as he knew he had no chance of avoiding a direct strike from the wind bullet. Though he had an idea to counter the pair that had been aimed at his electric chain and kunai.

With, for lack of a better term, lightning fast reflexes Kenji yanked back on the metalic wire and by extension the kunai as he yanked them back into his hands as the air bullets passed harmlessly through the air. Though Kenji lacked the same ability to prevent the third air bullet as it struck him right in the gut which knocked Kenji back as he let out a violent cough and even spat up a little blood.

In spite of this, Kenji managed to land on a tree branch as he eyed Sagiso who seemed to be making preparations for an attack. Likely something to follow up on the air bullets but Kenji had not been about to allow Sagiso to freely pulverize him as she saw fit as he quickly flashed a series of hand signs before he extended his hands forward.

"Lightning Style, Static Pulse!"

Kenji then fired a stream of electricity from his finger tips aimed right at Sagiso as it traveled through the air at high speeds. This attack lacked much power behind it, so it would not have done much damage if it connected; though it was not a move that tickled. The main intent was to sent an electric jolt through Sagiso's body that would momentarily stun her which in theory would have halted whatever action she had and allow Kenji the chance for a follow up strike; as not a moment after the stream left his fingers he held his electric chains in hand and charged Sagiso with the intent to deliver a pair of slashes to the kunoichi.

Madoka had been on edge when Kabuto had made his arrival; with her hand reflexively twitching as if to prepare her charka threads that controlled Raven who currently was tied up on her back. However, for the moment it appeared this one had not come for a fight as he simply offered to hand them the scrolls they desired should they meet his conditions.

The first seemed reasonable enough, escort to help get him to the tower with minimal confrontation and the forces needed to deal with it quickly and effectively. A "you scratch my back, I scratch yours" situation which likely had been rather common within this phase of the exams, though it had been the second condition that caused Madoka to raise an eyebrow.

"Don't suppose you'd explain what you need our blood for?" Madoka asked, which seemed like the natural question given the circumstances.

-----------
Tomiko grinned as Yasu allowed her to take the lead before she began to dash forward on the ground; keeping herself to the bushes and foliage as cover while she motioned for Yasu to follow her. Tomiko preferred to travel the ground, though there were a number of trees close by on their path if Yasu decided to take to the air, as it allowed her to concentrate and feel the vibrations of the ground which should help in detection of other competitors. Even if her vibrations limited her "vision" to rough outlines at best. Still, it should have worked well enough for what they needed to do.

Eventually, they seemed to pick up some presence in the distance as she halted he progression and made a subtle signal for Yasu to do the same. In truth, the pair were near the camp of another Genin Lako but they had no way of knowing that or the traps ahead of them that he had set.

"I think someone is close by...relativity speaking." Tomiko said with a whisper to Yasu as while she seemed eager to jump into the frey decided to see what Yasu had thought about her sensory signal.

Lako fiddled with his fingers trying to make weird and rude gestures.
'Okay now that I think about it maybe a lit fire is suspicious' he thought to himself and stomped on the fire until it went out he darted back to his wires and covered himself in foliage.

“Simple, I’m a collector of information. Eye color, justu types, blood types, and as much as possibly really.” Kabuto responded to Madoka. “As my ninja info cards would support, I have a craving for knowledge. It’s an insight. Everyone has their hobbies.”

Zaku scratches his head. What’s Kabuto’s game? Whys he in these exams, and why didn’t Orochimaru tell me? Either way, Zaku didn’t seem much harm in this scenario, seeming to trust Kabuto and Orochimaru’s judgement.

“Alright, take any blood you want from me.” Zaku said, rolling up his sleeve.

“Not from you.” Kabuto waved his hand apprehensively in the air. “Your two allies.”

Yasu swung himself down from the trees, landing on the ground as softly as possible. He stepped quietly over to Tomiko.

"Yeah, I could feel it in the air. There are objects in places they shouldn't be, but I can't pinpoint them exactly." He looked behind them, just to make sure. "How close do you think they are?"

Katsuo scoffed at the request aimed at he and Madoka. "Maybe I would if this whole scenario didnt put me off. Ive got no intention of willingly giving up any secrets that may be hidden in my blood." He paused for a moment, fumbling around in his back pocket to make sure both scrolls were still secure, can never be sure with guys like this. "Besides, something doesnt add up. If your skilled enough to collect so many scrolls you feel comfortable just giving some away, why would you need our help? Youve clearly got the skills and knowledge to pass." He turned his attention away from Kabuto, checking the surrounding area as he was finished with this all to risky deal. "And as a ninja you should know the best way to learn intel on an opponent is in the midst of battle, when you force your opponent to show there true power."

“I just got lucky, picked off two shinobi who weakened themselves to the point where they were nearly unconscious. Anyone could have done that.” Kabuto reasoned. “And I feel comfortable enough for this deal because it’s the best chance I have. I can’t make it to the tower alone, i’ve tried and lost many times before. I’m a medic, I’m not too strong on my own. I need knowledge on other successful ninja, so I can copy their success. Help a guy out, would ya?”

Zaku felt almost offended that Kabuto pretty much ignored his willingness to give his blood. It was only natural however, they were from the same village

Hashima looked up at the crumbling tower and quickly did some hand movements. "Wind-Style: Crossing Arcs!" she called as she once again put her arms in an X shape. The technique seemed to work, as the debris got broken away from her, or at least small enough not to do any damage to Hashima. Then she looked back up and focused on her enemies. "Mud Release: Mud Doll!" she shouted as she did some hand movements. Out of the water came clone like humanoids, which targeted the Ice Clones. (I hope what I'm about to do next isn't auto-y, if it is I can edit) The humanoids grabbed hold of the clones and began going back into the now muddy water, in an attempt to drown them in the mud.

Chakra is starting to get rarer. The quicker this battle is over with, the better off i’ll Be...

“Secret Technique! Crystal bombardment!”

Kai quickly closed his fists, chunks of the tower firing off like a machine gun, chunks of ice as big as an pencil were thrown scattering all toward Hashima’s area. The clones, even most of Kai’s seemed to be caught in the crossfire as well. Branches of trees, even trees themselves were being wrecked in the onslaught of ice particles. The huge tower now became practically non existent, just a foot tall pedestal Kai stood from from all the ice shrapnel used in that powerful attack.

Oh no. I don't think I can last for much longer.

When Hashima saw the incoming attack she was surprised, to say the least. Adrenaline fueled her body, as the fight was now a life-or-death situation for her. However, the adrenaline caused her to react faster, and then she placed her hands on the water.

"Mud Style: Muddy Water Wall!"

The water turned into mud which covered her from the incoming attack, and saving her life. Though it was attached to her, Hashima managed to recover a bit of chakra in her protection mud dome.... thing. Then after the attacks ended, the wall began crashing down on Kai as a muddy wave.

“...this xeno...!”

Thinking quickly, and trying to to expend too mich chakra, Kai used the last little pedestal left of the tower. He shot it upward with the water from the river and began to ride the wave of mud. Kai quickly swevered his cobbled together surfboard of ice and lept up down close to Hashima, the ice now skidding on the rough dirt, so Kai ditched it. He landed nearby her and made several handsigns, breathing heavily.

That’s it, now holding back. I can recover chakra later. Right now, I have to win.

“Forbidden Justu! Organic Freeze!”

One of Kai’s arms went limp immediately after he said this, a ghastly wind picking up as he used his signature and very deadly ninjutsu. Like the much more durable and bigger snake he fought. If he could freeze the eyes and crush them of such a big target before, imagine what it could do to the liquids of the outside of the human body? She had to have gotten wet too, at a battle near a river. Or at least sweat. Any bit will come massively in my favor

"N-no way!" Hashima muttered as her previously wet feet began turning into ice. Then she felt ice crystals forming on what used to be sweat, and eventually her eyes began to freeze.

D-damn it! Wait...

Hashima began to form a plan in her head. Though she couldn't see, that didn't matter. She could still move everything except her feet. So she did a some hand movements and shouted,"Wind Style: Zephyr Blow!"

A large amount of violent wind began to surround the area Hashima was on, and it eventually it managed to break the ice on her feet and remove the ice crystals on what used to be sweat. Finally, she did something strange. She stopped using chakra on her feet, and fell to the river. Then, she opened her eyes. The current carried away most of the ice, and she began to reach towards the surface water once more. Once she managed to stand up again, she coughed before laughing. She used a lot of her chakra now, even the part that she recovered during the wall, and did a long sequence of jutsu. Suddenly, parts of the earth where the waterfall was began falling and turning into mud.

"Mud Release: Landslide."

Seeing the young genin envelop in water and appear nearbye the waterfall, even doing a Justu. She has some stamina, no matter. This is going to be risky, but it’s my only chance at this point. One more go... Kai did his handsigns with his only good arm, before saying the words out loud again.

“Forbidden Justu! Organic freeze!!”

His only other workable arm went limp, the fresh water that Hashima just hoped it of had soaked into the skin pores of her body. She had been drenched in it, water was ALL over her. Soaking herself in Kai’s greatest weapon. While Kai could no longer work any of his arms, nor preform justu, he watched and hoped his powerful justu along with the strategic advantage Hashima had given him, that he could take whatever Hashima was creating.

Hashima had been frozen by the technique, but it didn't matter. The landslide began to happen, flooding the river with mud and reaching far enough to destroy some trees.

Meanwhile, the mud had crushed the ice that had frozen Hashima. Her stamina was nearly over, that powerful jutsu took a lot over her chakra. But she had to get away to escape, if she survived she could take Kai's scroll. The current of the flood was very strong, but Hashima managed to put her hands of it. "Mud Style: Muddy Water Wall," she said frantically, as she felt the her hands on the mud, though she couldn't see it. It was hard for her to move, so this was the best she could do, for now. The wall brought her up, in a height that was safe, for now. It hardened, and Hashima was laying at the top, trying to recover from the affects of being frozen, like getting rid of the temporary blindness and returning to getting used to using her limbs.

Kai tried to get away from the avalanche, but without arms that would prove difficult at any rate. He decided to take a risk. He dived headfirst into the water below, the avalanche sliding above the water, debris rainfind down inside the azure riverbed. Kai has to arms to swim, so he only knew one way he was going to get back to the surface. He puffed out his chest and relaxed back, his body floating to the surface. Struggling, he kicked his way, half doggy paddle styled over to the shore. He gasped, the air now open to breath.

He grunted, now wobbly getting up. He couldn’t preform justu, use tools, or even punch. He was powerless. He walked over to Hashima, who was panting, half beaten to unconsciousness. He cleared his heist before looking down at her.

“You...are on contemetable little Xeno...but...I must applaud you.”

Suddenly, a remaining clone from before, came up from the water, holding something peculiar. It made it was way to Hashima, looking like it was about to stab her in the heart, unveiled what it had in it’s Hands...a heaven scroll

Hashima watched as the clone climbed up the wall, wary, but she knew she could barely do anything if it tried to hurt her. She was very low on stamina. She closed her eyes for a second as the clone appeared to about to kill her, but was pleasantly surprised when he revealed the Heaven Scroll.

Finally. After that long battle... I got my scroll.

She took the scroll and sighed, out of relief. Then she lied down and rested for a bit, until she recovered. When she did the wall was crumbling, but the wave was small, and it caused no harm. Hashima began walking towards Kai and smiled.

"You were pretty good, too. Maybe if we were in a different situation, we could've been friends," she told him. Then she sighed as she looked at herself. She was drenched in mud.

I'll clean myself up later. First, I need to get to the tower.

Then she realized something as she looked back at Kai. "Hey, if you want... while I go to the tower I'll help you get scrolls if we find anyone. We can be allies... a reward for putting up a good fight," she suggested with a smile.

Kai was surprised at Hasima’s behavior. He has assumed that she would just take the scroll an demean him, but this act of gratitude resonated with the mist ninja. He paused, as his shadow clone took off the real kai’s Mask, revealing his actual face underneath.

“...For a xeno, you seem to have some decency. Your fight was more than I expected. I could be foolish to turn down an alliance, especially considering my current state. You are powerful, I’ve never seen justu like it...”

Kai marveled, extending his hand to a foreigner to the first time. “My name is...Kai.”

In a confusing manner, shortly after Ryo had made a recovery from Sagiso's sudden attack, Azumi seemed to be attempting to explain something to him about his attacker. However, there was hardly any time. Almost immediately after Azumi began speaking, the very own branches below them sprung to life and pursued the two of them relentlessly. It freaked him out - the thought of someone actually being powerful enough to manipulate the wood to extent such as this still being only being a Genin.

Even as he tried to do his best to avoid being impaled by the sinister branches, despite him having no idea it was all an illusion, something he felt for sure was the surging electricity that seeped into his body at a random moment. He felt paralyzed as he was shocked for several seconds, reducing him to not even be able to yell.

However, something happened. The branches below him suddenly broke after being met by a powerful force, and the electric shock ceased to exist - it was Azumi! Ryo opened his eyes, snapping out of the Genjutsu. He hadn't realized the tree's lifely arms were an illusion until Azumi's umbrella had literally snapped him back to reality. He followed her lead in not asking questions and leaping up to a higher, and hopefully safer, branch.

But clearly, at moments like these, "hope" wasn't cutting it, because in a matter of seconds clouds of smoke puffed up around them. This ambush was becoming a bit more than he could bear, and the most frustrating factor was not knowing the source of these barrage of assaults. He coughed, trying to refrain from breathing anything in; even if it wasn't poisonous smoke, one could never be too careful in a situation such as this. Soon, their attacker became apparent as a flash of pink hair passed by him within the wall of smoke, engaging in battle with Azumi.

"S-Sakura !?" Ryo called - but became even more confused when he saw the girl disappear after being struck by Azumi.

After quickly thinking through these past events, everything began making sense to him. So this was clearly an ambush, and it was most likely Sakura and his other past academic classmates that he had spoken with earlier. This sucked. He was hoping he wouldn't have to face off against them. The issue was, though, the only people who knew for sure who's scroll was what would be Ryo and Azumi, since they had shown each other earlier. What would be the point of fighting past friends if they ended up with the same scroll all along?

Ryo mentally slapped himself - that was wishful thinking, and he had seen how far that had gotten him thus far. Wishing and hoping did no good, it was time for him to start acting during these situations, and if he didn't, Azumi would most likely end up being ganged on. Ryo reached into his short's pouch, pulling out three medical needles being held in between each of his knuckles. He squinted his eyes, making sure to examine every inch of the smoke, noticing what looked like the actual Sakura appearing once more, this time raining down on Azumi from above with a weapon. He lunged his right arm forwards, launching the sharp needles towards her. The needles were originally created for acupuncture use in order to help an injured ally and such, but they could serve decent use to temporarily paralyze or limp certain body parts if they hit their target of any of the body's vitals - so if Ryo's aim was good enough he would be able to hit Sakura's weak points in her arms, causing her loose her stability with her kunai.

"Ok!Bye!"Kilka shouted in a sing-song voice. She ran away quickly. He made me angry with that 'your my hostage' talk, and also the thing about us,i just want us both to become chunin, that's all,and i will show no mercy to the person who took my scroll,i will enjoy taking him out when i get the chance, kilka thought.

Lako perked up and stopped fidgeting at the sound of other ninja. He quickly weaved s web of steel wire around his area covering all his directions and blind spots ready to spark his wires. The wires trembled and Lako felt an animal brush against his wires, too small for a ninja, but still Lako remained deathly silent not stirring awaiting his prey like a spider on a web. Sweat beaded on his forehead but he remained calm like he was taught.

Hashima smiles again and was about to take his hand, but then forgot she was covered with mud. “Oops, I’ll shake your hand when I get cleaned, hehe. I’m Hashima, and it makes sense you’ve never heard of my jutsu. Mud Style is... rare to say the least. I can tell you all about it later, if you want. Wait, I forgot we still have another exam after this. Ok, I’ll tell you about it after we finish the Exams, but we should get going. You can still walk right?” she asked.

“Walking is still within my capabilities, yes. But my Chakra has reached Zero, so I cannot walk on water anymore. I will be of no use in battle for the moment.” Kai spoke analyzing his situation. “And by the looks of it, your Chakra isn’t exactly one peak condition either. We would fail in battle against the simplest opponet’s.”

They were in a peculiar situation. The both of them had made an alarming amount of noise and destruction, and now had practically no way of fighting off attackers.

Taiyo slowly began waking up, he still couldn't move, nor should he unless if he wished to explode, but his eyes began to open and now, he turned his head to Kiro.
"What happened, where's Kilka, what did you do?" He sounded angry when asking these questions, he was unable to reach for his Swiss army knife or generate a fireball or use any of his other skills, for now, he was helpless and immobile.
Crap, this is bad. I just hope Kilka got free safely, I should have given her my scrolls. She's clearly the smarter of the two of us and is more qualified to pass, I've been screwing around and the only reason I got here was because of luck. And now, my luck has run out.

Hashima nodded and began leaving the area, passing through the trees. "We should find a place to camp, I'll let you recover first since you have less energy than me. I was at a cave a pretty good distance from here, that could be a good temporary base," she explained. While she was saying that, she brought out her scrolls and discreetly put bomb tags on them, though they were a bit hidden.

He seems like a good guy, but you can never be too safe. At least the tags aren't obvious in case he betrays me... but I hope that won't happen in the first place.

“I don’t exactly have hands to work with, so I won’t be of much use to help set up camp.” Kai said, looking back to his destroyed camp. “I would offer mine, but it would seem the landslide has obliterated that....”

Kai watched as Hashima did something to the scroll, attempting to be sneaky. What is she doing? Making a clone of them? Trapping them? Hm, she doesn’t seem to trust me, figures. A xeno shouldn’t. She has more wits that I had anticipated.

When a mist ninja offers their word, it is golden. Our values separates us from the Xeno filth. Do you question that word, Hashima?”

Kiro looked back to Taiyo when Kilka was finally out of his eye’s range. “Smart girl you got there.” Kiro taunted Taiyo as he tossed his kunai in the air. By the time the kunai landed on the floor, Kiro was upon Taiyo, looking down at him. “You should be grateful I let her go. And I’ll do the same for you once I get your scrolls.” Kiro said as he went down to search Taiyo’s pockets.

“So you had both, good.” Kiro said before he dropped the heaven scroll on Taiyo’s face. “Take that as my thanks for allowing me to have this Earth scroll. Don’t worry, the genjutsu should wear off in a bit, maybe even sooner rather than later now that you’re talking.” Kiro offered, mainly because he didn’t have enough space to hold four scrolls. It would’ve been easier just to kill Taiyo but Kiro had a sense of respect and did not want to kill an opponent while they were already down. “I wish you luck.” Kiro said before jumping up into the trees to leave the area.

"It's ok, I already set up before," Hashima said as they had reached the cave shelter. Then she turned around and sighed, before frowning. "I'm sorry, I trust you...but... It's not like there aren't traitors. I believe you, but I... I'm sorry... I just can't not take precautions. Ya know? You'd take precautions too if you had both scrolls... after all, it makes you more of a target. But I won't betray you, there's no need to. And I don't know if you can tell, but I'm not exactly a killer type of person," she explained as she entered the shelter. She had made a makeshift bed out of twigs and leaves, and she gestured towards it.

"You can rest there, I'll keep guard till you're ready to go."

“I suppose that’s logical. I wouldn’t trust a xeno as far as I can throw them after all, i would imagine that it would be a fractional if that mindset within you.”

Upon looking at the shelter, Kai crossed his legs, his limp arms resting in the center of his crossed legs. He had to admit, she was more accommodating to her situation than he had anticipated. If he didn’t know any better, he would of though she were a medical nin. Meditated in place, Kai closed his eyes, his clone placing his mask next to him and then decomposed into nothing but a puddle.

Soon, Taiyo stood up and took the heaven scroll and smiled at Kiro.
"Cool, see ya later!" Taiyo told the current welder of his earth scroll and ran to find Kilka.
I'm such an idiot, how could I let him do that, he almost hurt Kilka. Wait no, I'm only concerned cause She's a friend, which is another problem, I make friends too easily. I need to face facts, I don't think I am worthy to become a Chunin. He wanted to find his partner soon and set up a plan of attack, Kiro seemed smarter than both of them, so revenge was out of the question. They needed to target weaker and dumber opponents or ones that let their guard down.

Although Kenji had slightly exceeded her expectations, using the recoil from the wind bullet to land on a tree rather than falling to the ground, it would do him no good. As she prepared to initiate her jutsu, circulating her chakra through the veins in her legs, she felt a sharp pain erupt and her steps faltered. She hadn't expected the recoil from the Wind Shadow technique to insue so rapidly. However, it was too late, and the brief paused was more than enough for Kenji to regain his wits and deliver an attack. Before she knew it Sagiso felt a vigorous current of lightning assault her body. She staggered backward, her muscles spasming in response to the electrical stimulus, she felt a bit disoriented but the next sensation she felt immediately dragged her back to the battle at hand. Searing pain snaked through her body as she felt Kenji's kunai sever through her clothes and skin. She suppressed the urge to scream but failed miserably, a high-pitch hiss escaped her lips followed by a pitiful cry laced in agony.

Her fury soon enough vanished, leaving behind nothing but sheer killing intent. Through tear-stained eyes, she glared at Kenji, if looks could kill, he would've already been dead. Her eyes swept over his face, committing every minute detail to memory. Her hatred simmering, she brought her knee upwards in a swift, chakra-infused blow. She doubted he could dodge at this range, but he might've been able to minimize the damage by blocking. With that thought in mind, she immediately prepared for her follow-up attack. The second he left the ground, either from the force of her blow of the recoil from blocking, she would strike again- delivering a vicious round-house kick; Nadeshiko-Style: Hardliner Revolving Cut! Of course, she wasn't done there. Ignoring the injury to her legs she would push for another Flicking Wind Shadow, using the initial burst to cover whatever distance may have opened up between them then finishing off her opponent with the final blow.

Sakura had been far too focused on her relentless assault of Azumi for her own good. The pink-haired kunoichi aimed to take advantage of the confusion created by Sagiso and did not want to give Azumi time to breath but her desire for this gave her tunnel vision as she had failed to take Ryo into account and that was about to cost her.

Woosh!

As Sakura descended on Azumi, the needles that Ryo tossed through the some came flying at her. Sakura only managed to catch sight of them at the last possible second; as she her efforts to curl up did little to limit the damage as one needle struck her left shoulder and another struck her left arm which caused Sakura to wince in pain.

Sakura had little time to react to this, as Azumi had heard her cry and caught sight of the real Sakura who remained airborne as she quickly lunged her umbrella forward with the intent to slam it into Sakura's gut with a sudden stabbing attack. What the umbrella lacked in traditional piercing power Azumi knew it made up for with bone crushing blunt force. Sakura just managed to suck in the pain of the needles that pierced her left arm as she held up her twin kunai with the intent to block the strike. However, her left arm seemed rather stunned by the attack as her nerves seemed shot which caused it to weekly lift up which limited Sakura's defense strength as Azumi knocked Sakura forward and sent the kunoichi flying as she crashed back-fire into the tree ahead of them.

"Gah!" Sakura gasped out in pain as she slumped to a branch as she took a moment to shake the cobwebs out as she faced Azumi and Ryo who in turn had a better view of her now that the smoke faded. Sakura frowned, with Kenji still busy with Sagiso she was left on her own but Sakura's determined look showed she was not about to back down.

I made a promise with Ino that we'd become top kunoichi together. I made a promise to Kakashi-sense I would give it all I had in these exams and I would not quite. I won't let them down....I won't let myself down!

Sakura quickly pulled out the needles in her arm, which caused a little blood to drip down said arm, as she stood up and faced her two opponents. Her left arm seemed a little limp still, but it had just enough strength to help Sakura flash a series of hand-signs before she turned back and ran up the tree she was on to the very top as she used the leaves as cover for her next jutsu which she whispered just as quickly as she flashed the signs for it.

"Forest Fragrance...Dance of the Leaves Jutsu!"

Azumi had opted to not remain passive as she jumped from one tree to Sakura's with the intent to give the Konoha-nin chase, but her efforts came to a halt when from the tree top dozens and dozens of leaves came poring down as if they were thrown projectiles. Given this was more subtle than demonic tree branches Azumi had no way to tell if this was a Ninjutsu or a Genjutsu Azumi brached herself as she used her sword as a shield, but this time she had not been Sakura's target. Sakura instead used the leaves of her jutsu as a distraction, moving within them as a near invisible blur, as she moved behind Ryo, kunai in hand, as she aimed to deliver a slash Ryo's in an effort to hinder his movements & stun him with the damaging blow which would have left him open to a follow-up attack. Sakura had felt guilt over such a...drastic action against a former classmate, but mentally justified that she was mainly aiming at the flesh and not the bone or organs so should the attack have managed to connect so he'd be able to recover. Besides, given the circumstances she was in Sakura had not been in a position to hold back.

Sorry Ryo, I didn't want it to come to this, but it's every ninja for themselves. And besides, you attacked me first...

Indeed, the look that Sagiso had given Kenji made even the normally reckless if not fearless ninja's hair stand on the back of his neck. Kenji never guessed that a fellow Genin could radiate this kind of killing intent, but that proved to be the least of his worries.

Kenji saw Sagiso as she shot her knee forward as he only just managed to get his guard up, though that proved to be a poor defense as Sagiso's chakra-infused blow blew past the guard which offered minimal protection.

"GAH!"

Kenji coughed violently as the force of the blow sent him flying back, though Kenji had been able to regain his bearings much more quickly given the timely guard; though that only seemed to give him time to see Sagiso charge at him as Kenji once again had been nailed with another strike; this time a roundhouse which caused blood to drip from Kenji's jaw as he had been sent flying back further; with only another weak guard having managed to lower the damage...but whatever minimal margin.

Kenji barley had a moment to so much as process what was happening before he barley caught sight of Sagiso as she dashed through the air after him for what he presumed was another follow up blow. If Kenji had to guess, he presumed that Sagiso aimed to complete this bone-breaking combo to deliver the finishing blow.

Well, Kenji was not about to allow that to happen. As he flashed some hand-signs as quickly as he could while he gritted his teeth to work past the pain he felt as he prepared his desperation jutsu.

"Thunder Style, Electric Wave!"

Kenji hated his use of this jutsu, which shot electric from his body in all directions in his immediate surroundings, as it damaged himself almost as much as whoever happened to get hit by it. However, it was the only jutsu he both could think or and make the hand signs for before Sagiso closed the distance completely. The question remained whether the electricity would build up and disperse from his body before Sagiso managed to deliver her combo blow. While it only took a moment or to do do this, given the speed Sagiso had moved at, Kenji may not have had the time.

But he had no other options, and any option had been better than to allow Sagiso to decimate him. Kenji only had the capacity to hope that the jutsu would release in time.

This caught Madoka's attention, so this Kabuto guy craved knowledge and was eager for their blood. But not Zaku's? Given Kabuto's headband signified he was a Konoha-nin so she doubted that Kabuto and Zaku had met before and it seemed Zaku had not already given his blood given he was prepared to offer it then and there.

"Is there a reason you don't want his blood as well?" Madoka asked Kabuto, as there had been something about his request and his decision to decline Zaku's blood that had caught her curiosity.

Tomiko overheard Yasu's assessment or rather guess that there were objects out there. If Tomiko had to guess, she presumed they were traps as Tomiko considered their options.

"Well, typically my senses work better when the object is moving around. I got the same impression you did as far as a general area is concerned, but I think I have a way around this." Tomiko said with a grin as she quickly flashed a series of hand signs.

"Earth Style, Traverse Tunnel Jutsu!"

With that Tomiko jumped into the ground and much like the mole-side of her mole-bat nickname that she had given herself she traveled underground and by extension under whatever traps that had been set. Tomiko aimed to try and feel the vibrations of those above ground as she tried to scout out whoever this Genin was so she could attack him from below.

Kabuto cocked his head over to Madoka, whom had been pretty quiet during the conversation. He adjusted his glasss before clarifying.

“The sound is a village that has come up recently, has shown no candidate capable of passing yet. Sand and leaf on The other hand, have. I have more faith in villages who’ve had passing candidates...”

Kabuto gave a knowing look to Zaku. Zaku at first was appauled, even his eyebrows twitched before he put the dots together. He is from the sound as well, so he didn’t diss me or Lord orochimaru. He’s trying to get us to pass, along with blood from them, but why? Better play along.

“The nerve...i’ll Show you in the end glasses.” Zaku said confidently. “I’ve made it this far, haven’t I?”

Yasu watched as Tomiko dove into the ground and made her way closer to the area they had been cautious of. He held himself still, trying not to make any noise or movements.

If I make any vibrations I'll screw up her scouting so instead, I'll see if I can help.

Yasu closed his eyes, letting the wind flow through his body and mind. He could see and feel the trees, and the insects that inhabited them. He could also sense Tomiko, still moving underground.

Let's see if we can find whoever is here, together!

Body arched, Sagiso prepared to deliver a merciless blow to her opponent. Her leg swished through the air accompanied by the whistled and howls of the wind, but in the instant before her leg connected with Kenji's body, he erupted into a thunderstorm of lightning bolts. The violent bolts of thunder surged through Sagiso's body and her muscles numbed, her vision dimmed momentarily as her consciousness flicked. Regardless, her leg continued on with the momentum it had already gathered and slammed into its target.

Sagiso fell to the ground, her body unable to respond in time for a landing. As the numbness in her muscles slowly faded away Sagiso pushed herself to her feet and limped over to Kenji. A combination of electrical charge and injury had numbed her legs and they didn't quite move as she wished them to. even then, she still managed to make her way over to the other combatant. She stared down at him, her eyes still filled with killing intent, 'It'd be best if I could just end him now... but he might pull another last-ditch jutsu like the previous one...' Her brow furrowed, she certainly didn't feel like dying because her opponent went all out with a suicidal attack. 'Guess I'll just settle for his scroll.'

The kunoichi leaned over, almost falling on top of Kenji in the process, and stripped his body of his scroll. Seeing the character for 'Earth' printed neatly atop the scroll surface, Sagiso smiled to herself. She turned to leave, not sparing another glance at her defeated opponent. Eventually, after she'd moved a distance away, she spoke, "Be proud, you've faced defeat at the hands of Ajisai Sagiso, a Kunoichi of Nadeshiko Village, Ajisai meaning 'Pride' and Sagiso meaning ... , well that one doesn't matter!" A faint blush crept across her face. The only person that needed to know the meaning behind her given name would be the Shinobi to defeat her, he would -after all- be kidnapped and brought back to Nadeshiko Village to marry her. But until then, her thoughts would follow no one.

(OOC: Sagiso - meaning - 'My thoughts will follow you into your dreams'.)
