Open Journey of Types

The girl shrugged. "Don't have one, I'm asking for ideas." She then looks to the thick trees surrounding the grass. "But I think I may have just had an idea." She rolls her shoulders, tensing her legs before leaping into another tree, just over the tops of the first few feet of grass.

She stuck out her tongue as she concentrated. She leaps a few more times, somewhere now in the middle of the ocean of dark Pokemon infested grass. "Hey!" She shouts back, even though she was still in view.

"I see light!"

Robby pulled Kace off the ground, wiping the dirt off of him, "We won't get very far with you on the ground like this. There will be more opportunities I promise you." He looked over to where the Pokémon vanished, slightly wondering at what else could be in that grass but he ignored it, not wanting to get distracted.

He walked over to the rest of the group, readying himself to go through whatever hell is in there. "Let's go on and get going." He sighed. "I think we've had enough surprises for one small trip." He smirked, looking over at the new guy. "Robby, by the way." He acknowledged.

As C.C continues jumping across tree branches, she notices each rustle, knowing some sort of Pokemon was down there. Just as she is about to leap again she notices some dark figure watching her from another tree. Slightly unnerved, C.C leaps again, to another tree, and the dark figure copies her.

Narrowing her eyes, this continues until there are only a few more feet until what is surely now the end of the route. Just as she is about to leap onto another branch the figure leaps again, heading for the same landing site. Both C.C and the figure hit the branch with a snap.

"Gyaa!" "Seeeel!" both of them cry as the branch gives out under their weight, causing both of them to crash into the grass below with a very large thud.

"Whoa! C.C.!" Robby screamed out, before rushing into the dense darkness. He pushed through the ocean of grass, attempting to find her. "C.C?" He called out. He followed the small groans, eventually coming upon the girl.

"Hey are you ok?" He looked behind him looking to see if anyone came as well. Or whatever it was chasing her. He heard a small growl in the dense grass, obviously the creature had escaped into the grass before he got there. He narrowed his eyes trying to make out the figure but unable to do so. "We shouldn't be here at this very moment." He muttered to her.

"This way," she beckoned, pointing Brent towards where she originally saw the exit. She smiled as slowly but surely it grew brighter.

Upon reaching the end of the dark forest, she leaps with a cry of joy out of Brent's arms and into the light. She hissed though, after all her eyes still haven't adjusted. But quickly she laughed, turning around and looking at the others, aka Brent and Robby, who where near her. She laughed and jumped a little, "That forest gave me the creeps!" she laughed off with a smile.

She did a quick inventory check, Flayke's frost ball? Check. Frost balls? Che- "Hey, why do I only have four Frost Balls?" she gasped in confusion.

Robby turned his head back towards the forest," You probably lost them when you fell doing your crazy Mankey tree climbing stunts." He scratched his head knowing what was going to come next but suggested it anyways, "It's no big deal C.C. When the other two pass through they might see them and grab them. If not we'll just buy you two more in the next city."

He counted his balls as well, small twigs snagging onto him every now and then from when he went through the darkened area. All being there, he let out a small sigh. "C.C... those pokeballs you lost are empty right?.." he asked, slightly concerned now.

"Yup," C.C confirmed, as in a flash of light suddenly Flayke was sitting on her head. "But how could I lose them? They were inside my pouch which is apparently capable of falling down a cliff and staying closed." She muttered. She sighed gently, turning to find a place to wait.

Only for one of her missing Frost Balls to come from within the forest and hit her around the back of her head. "Ow!" she grunts, catching the ball as it rebounded. She looked at the forest in confusion from where the ball was magically returned to her.

Kace stands up with help from Robby. He wipes his nose and eyes, he didn't want to show his weakness to the others. He started slowly in the tall, creepy grass not wanting to jump through the trees because he knew he would get hurt. Kace was practically blind and he held out one hand while the other clutched his egg case, to try and not run into anything. Just then a growling sound came from the grass around him. He started to speed up and tripped over a mound of fur. It yelped in surprise and ran away, this one much larger than the Poochyena he had seen before. He picked himself up quickly, obviously spooked and started at a run. He saw light ahead and sprinted for the exit. He erupted out of the forest into brilliant daylight. Looking around, it appeared that he was the last one out. A blue blur zings from the forest and hits C.C. on the head as his vision adjusts. What did I miss?

"What the-" Robby began. "Well go ahead and throw the other one, you punk!" He yelled out towards the forest. "This place is freaking out." He muttered. Robby didn't take his eyes off the mysterious forest, wondering who or what is screaming with them.

(OOC: sorry it's so short)

C.C nods. Curious, she takes the Frost ball previously thrown at her, and rolls it back. It disappears briefly into the grass, and a few moments pass until the item is once more thrown back at her. C.C catches the ball before it hits her head again.

"Huh," she shrugs, placing the Frost ball on the ground beside her. She ponders the strangeness for all but barely a minute before something jabs her in both her sides. It didn't hurt her, but it sure as heck startled her, and the teenage girl jumped from sitting crossed legged on the ground and onto her feet in a heartbeat with a yelp.

"Oi!" she snaps, turning around to her attacker, finding a Sneasel laughing his little head off on the ground behind where she had been sitting.

Kace ducks, scared of being hit by the items flying across the air. He quickly crawls across the ground with one hand, the other holding the egg, to Robby. He stood up and used Robby as a shield from danger. Kace peeked out from his spot to find a Pokemon behind C.C.. Before he can warn her it jabs her in the sides with a devilish grin. "What is that?" he asks Robby.

(OOC: You're good RobbyK. At least its grammatical.)

He watched C.C. throw the ball back into the forest. "C.C. why did you-" but he was stopped as it came back towards them from the forest. "Well nevermind." He threw his hands into the air. "This is nuts. This is absolutely nuts. First it growled at us, it tried to MURDER C.C. and now it's playing tricks with us and-" he was once again cut off, hearing C.C. shriek.

He turned, to see a Sneasel, laughing at his obvious little jab at C.C. "oh look Gem has a friend." He mumbled.

"You little sneak," C.C begins, until Knight shoved her out of the way, and sending the Sneasel right into a tree. "Oh Arceus." C.C gasped. Having apparently figured out the figure following her in the tree, throwing her Frost Balls at her, apparently also having stolen them in the first place. She had seen all this up close and personal, and the Sneasel just seemed to be mischievous, if not playful.

She ran over to the poor Pokemon, being cautious as she drew nearer, "Hey little guy..." she muttered.

His eyes widen in surprise at Knight's savage attack on the small, mischievous Pokemon and how he shoved C.C.. He flinches as it smashes into the tree; surely that had to hurt. He looks up at Robby, finally hearing the story of this creature. He smiles slightly at the mention of Gem and the new Pokemon's comparison. They were very much alike in looks and size... and demeanor. He hoped that the creature was alright, even though it had startled C.C..

The Sneasel growled slightly at Brent, being specific the growl was thrown towards Knight's Psy Ball. The male Sneasel turned to C.C, suddenly turning sheepish. Extending a clawed paw, the Sneasel handed her the second missing Frost Ball. "Sneasel..." the mon croaked, his voice guilty.

C.C took the Frost Ball, "Hey, you were just playing, I can't be mad at you for being playful." Putting the two stolen items back C.C began searching for a potion.

Kace walks over to the scene from behind Robby. He peeks over their shoulders at the Pokemon. It seemed to be handing back the Frost balls. He smiled, Pokemon are so amazing! A burst of light appeared and Knight was out of his ball. Kace leaped back, flinching at the menacing Pokemon. He was now very fearful of the Gallade even though it apologized to the sharp-clawed Pokemon. "What's that Pokemon, C.C.?"

Finally, C.C managed to fish out a potion from the depths of her hip pouch, she looked up in time to notice the Sneasel hesitantly accept the apology. "Sel..." he muttered, clawed arms crossed.

C.C smiled, before gently spraying the potion on the injured Dark/Ice Pokemon. Hey that's right! Sneasel is part Ice type! C.C thought. The Sneasel, now refreshed and healed, gave C.C a large fanged grin, before surprising her again.

The Sneasel had leaped into her face, before scrambling onto her shoulder, and with a purr rubbed his cheek against hers. C.C looked at Kace. "It's a Sneasel, a Dark Ice type Pokemon." she said, resisting the urge to coo at the adorable thank you the Pokemon was giving her.

The Sneasel seemed to have forgiven Brent somewhat for letting the Gallade attack him, with a huff the clawed Pokemon took Brent's hand and placed it on top of their head. It seemed he wasn't willing to admit out loud that he liked the attention.

C.C laughed at the Pokemon turned grumpy. "Absolutely adorable" she agreed. The Sneasel took the praise gladly, grinning and puffing out his furry little chest.

He grinned at the adorable Pokemon. A Sneasel, so that's what it is. "Hi Sneasel, I'm Kace." he said introducing himself. he really hoped that this one wouldn't run away like the last one did. That thought covered his mind with a cloud that he immediately tried to shake off. He fixed his dirty-blonde hair by swishing it to the right as he looked at the 'mon. He supposed that it was C.C.'s Pokemon because she saw it first but he did hear from her that it was Dark and Ice type.

He looked over at Brent after his words about catching the Sneasel. He grinned because he had never seen a capture before. "Yeah, C.C. show me how it's done!" he exclaimed.

C.C grins, though she looked to the Sneasel, scratching him underneath his chin. "Whad'ya say little guy? Want to join the team?" The Sneasel nods, and C.C gets up. She reaches into her pouch for a Frost Ball, but she stops.

She looked at the Sneasel, "Ahem," she says, holding out her palm. The Pokemon snickered, tossing the re-stolen Frost Ball back at the Ice trainer. With a grin, C.C tossed the device.

The Ball hissed as it whooshed through the air, and Sneasel decided to jump up into the air to meet the Frost Ball. The ball shook all but once before clicking. "Critical capture!" C.C yelled, throwing her hands in the air, before picking up the newly caught Sneasel, re-releasing him.

"Oh, cool!" Kace exclaimed as the newly caught 'mon was released once again. "Well now that that is over, we should explore the town!" he said excitedly. He had to find the Pokemon Center so that the Nurse there could check on his egg.

I wonder what the gym will be like?
he thought back to the conversation about gyms and the next one in this city. He also had a mere thought of challenging the leader there to a battle but he dismissed it after thinking about his career in battling, absolutely nothing. Kace looked down at his egg, it shook violently and a new crack appeared on it's hard surface. It stopped soon after and sat motionless.

C.C grinned, "Well? Let's go then!" With her new Sneasel on her shoulder, she grabbed Kace's hand and ran down the road, entering the first few buildings of the lakeside town.
