The Chocobo Robo Voice animation just rocks so hard, I had to go and play Chocobo Racing after seeing it :D. The FF7: All About The Random Battles flash by the same guy is pretty amusing too. And I'm told the LOTR ones are brilliant - haven't had time to watch them yet though.

My favourite flash animation of all time is "Are you a miserable ovoid creature?" (can't link to it directly anymore because of bandwidth theft) which is a fantastic parody of direct-to-patient marketing of psychiatric drugs, and of Zoloft adverts in particular.

freezepop are my very favourite band, and if you watch the Freezepop Forever and Stakeout videos, you might find out why.

At the complete opposite end of the spectrum, Threebrain are a very strange band with very strange songs. Features gratuitous swearing and anatomical illustrations, for no apparent reason. "Wheeee!" is far and away the best of their... offerings.

Pretty good collection, though. I'd say they're worth checking out if you have the chance (and I love the FF7 Random Battles vid) ^^

This one is pretty cute. It's a Final Fantasy parody spoken in Japanese (with english text) with lots and lots of Anime gags. Like watching a short movie. All anime/FF fans gotta check it out :D

Man, with sprite comics and flash videos to mess around with, wasting a full day on the internet is not a hard thing to do x.x

Btw - if anyone else knows of any good FF vids please share 'em :)

Did you notice the Newgrounds one had a link to an entire Final Fantasy Parody Collection? There's also a bunch more video game parodies.

This Altered Beast parody is pretty amusing. Adult themes (but only marginally more adult than the original game, which was the Gayest Thing Ever). Sadly, the website with screenshots of weird things in video games which, among other things featured the really scary actual Altered Beast screens, appears to have disappeared :(.

Edit: I have watched ~20 of the Pokemon parodies on Newgrounds, and can report that these few are worth watching:
If Pokemon Were Real. Warning: features Pokemon death. (But not exclusively).

Pokemon All Your Base. Yeah, the original meme is deader than the dodo. But the doctored pictures in this are pretty funny.

Team Rocket Strikes. Terrible but funny graphics, all done in MS Paint. Kinda makes me think I & my lack of talent could do a Flash movie :).

These ones are ok and will pass the time if you're REALLY bored:
Baron von Brunk's Pokemon 2. The beginning is boring, but the actual Pokemon battle rocks. Shame really, 'cos if he'd just done the battle it'd be great. Has swearing.

Pokemon Short - the frustrations of Pokemon. Features tomato sauce & I think some swearing.

Link: Pokemon Master... would be good if only the author had any clue about how to write a script. Ignore the text and just enjoy the graphics.

Pokemon In A Nutshell. Sad, but true.

Olde Tyme Pokemon. Not one for the Misty fans. A good idea, but let down by a general lack of plot.

Pokemon: A Man's Game. Features swearing.

I ignored all the ones that were gratuitously insulting about Pokemon in their descriptions, and the ones that were obviously just about killing/cooking Pokemon. And there was one that was funny, but featured racist and homophobic language, so I wasn't going to link to it.

If you thought these were terrible, you REALLY don't want to look at any of the remaining ~110 there! :shock:

There's also a porn one that is a great parody but exceedingly crude. ^^

I've watched A LOT of Newgrounds stuff. If you search for 'Alex Winton' you'll also see i've submitted there myself. (Only the Sonic Rangers intro so far).

I can't really be bothered hunting for links to the great ones i've seen over the time i've been visiting there, but maybe i will sometime.

Me and a friend were just talking about the "All Your Base" remix yesterday in class, so it was fun to hear the whole song again - especially with Pokemon pics XD

Team Rocket Strikes was pretty horrid graphic-wise, but it gave me a good laugh ^^

None of the others really impressed me, but the "Pokemon In a Nutshell" video was kinda funny. Ditto to the "Man's Game" one. Funny how something meant to bash Pokemon turned out good XD

Animutations/Fanimutations

Animutation, for the uninitiated, is a flash movie style first created by Neil Cicierega, involving the usage of a random song (often in a different language) with the attachment of random animation full of deformed characters, pop-culture refrences and re-written dialogue. Colin Mochrie appearances are common. Here's my list of really good ones. ^^

Hyakugojyuuichi! (Original Song - "Hyakugojyuuichi", 1st PokeMon Endsong, Animation By Neil Cicierega). Here's the one who started them all! (Well, sort of. The TRUE original was his Japanese PokeRap one, but it wasn't that good.).

DASH!! (Original Song - "I Am Impact" from the Ganbare Goemon 64 soundtrack, Animation By VeryLowSodium). Catchy song... VeLoSo's first animutation, so yeah.

Irrational Exhuberance (Original Song - "Yatta!" by Happatai, Animation By VeryLowSodium). Probably one of the most famous. If you think THAT's disturbing, try watching the song's actual clip. It'll scar you for life. Honest. x_x

Earth VS. Funk (Original Song - "FUNKTASTIC" by Rip Slyme, Animation By Neil Cicierega). Definitely one of the trippiest... Oddly enough, the parodized lyrics sound more like the song than the actual ones!

SUZUKISAN!! (Original Song - "Torikaekko Puriizu", by Imakuni, Kobayashi and Raymond, Animation By Dwedit). Based on a song in a little known Japanese PokeMon CD, It is also a trippy but funny one.

French Erotic Film (or Colin Mochrie VS Jesus H. Christ) (Original Song - "Opblaaskrokodil", by Ome Hanek, Animation By Andrew Kepple aka Too Much Spare Time). Part One of Three, Gratuitious Monty Python Refrences... Booyah.

Plan Nine from Underpants (Original Song - "Kabouterdans", from the Dutch Children TV show "Kabouter Plop", Animation By Andrew Kepple aka Too Much Spare Time). Part II of Three - With Jesus H. Christ's plot of 'Animupartheid', Colin is recruited to save the day... By Leprechauns from Outer Space!

Conquest of Animutopia (Original Song - "1492: Conquest of Paradise", by Vangelis, Animation By Andrew Kepple aka Too Much Spare Time). The epic conclusion. ^_^

General Funnyness

MegaMan: Titanium Rhapsody - A MegaMan Clip for Queen's immortal 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Worthy to watch just for the superb sprite editing.

MegaMan and the Pompous Robots - MegaMan is faced by two deadly foes... Or at least he would have, if they weren't busy deciding who gets to fight him!

MegaMan vs Quick Man - A MegaMan II battle scene reproduced in an art style rather like Akira Toriyama's. Contains blood.

The Llama Song! - A horribly catchy and amusing little song...

The End of the World! - How the world would end, according to Group X. And Australia's still, like, 'Doubleyou-tee-eff, mate? ^^'

8-Bit D&D - The 8-Bit Theatre cast animates the Dead Ale Wives' 'Dungeons and Dragons' sketch. Oh my dog.

Moogle X: Enter the Shadows - Will our hero Kupoin be able to defend himself from the horde of Ninjas, the Ginzu Force?

Pong - More than Just a Game...

And last but not least

Neurotically Yours - A series of flash movies about the life of a megalomaniacal squirrel called Foamy and his owner, the Goth Chick Germaine! Caution: Contains high amounts of Squirrely Wrath. xD

I can't believe I forgot TEH WEIRDEST FLASH EVAR!! Fight! Kikkoman. For anyone with any interest whatsoever in Japanese pop culture... Features one instance of the f-word in text, but if that bothers the people whose computer you use, click the link for the Japanese original.

Edit: I take it all back. This isn't surreal at all compared to the Animutation. I wasn't terribly keen on the Neil Cicierega ones, but Irrational Exuberance and the 3 Andrew Kepple ones are AMAZING. I love their "translations" of the lyrics, karaoke-style. *brain melts & runs out of ears*

The Evil Strawberry: Some people may have already seen this keaton masterpiece. This thing, is, like, so mean. >=D This little kid wants a strawberry, but the strawberry won't let him eat him and then starts to taunt the kid. There's even shirts featuring the evil strawberry!!

Waka Laka(Japanese version): Also by our dear friend Keaton, the song is very, VERY catchy(at least for me) and the animation is just plain random. Too bad it's incomplete though.....English version animation is a lot more different......watch it here.

The Demented Cartoon Movie: How is it that no one's posted THIS beauty yet?!?! Anyway, I have 4 words: H-bombs and kamikaze watermelons. >=D Heads exploding whenever one says 'blah', and of course, the ZEEKY BOMB!!

I'll edit in my other movies later.

We Drink Ritalin - Set to Hot Limit from one of the DDR games, this is what goes to show that noncomprehensible English can be just as Fanimutatable as any other foreign language.

Bend It Like a Knife - Set to an obscure German version of Aqua's infamous "Barbie Girl", the Animutated lyrics of this song are just SO freakin' hillarious...

HOLY SHIT! NINJAS!! - Set to Haruka Kanata, the theme song from Naruto, this one makes fun of just about all martial arts anime. ^^ Besides, the Mr. T. Totoro is just priceless. xD

The Decline of Video Games 3 - this came out months ago but I only just discovered it now. Just as great as the last one IMO. Hard to say which is my favourite of the collection, though...

Have any new, good videos by Legendary Frog come out recently? Today is my first time on New Grounds in ages and I feel so behind! :oops:

"We hate it when..." was a great video, but it would've been even better with improved art ;)

I'd already seen the 2nd and 3rd vids you linked to, but both rhapsody's were new. Even so, no parody like that is ever going to pwn the Zero Wing Rhapsody (which baratron has already posted, but it's worth dragging it up again ^^). That video is pure gold 8)

And I watched that Mario 64 video a few days ago... Hot DAMN that guy is good. Even if he did beat the game through a bunch of cheats/glitches, the way he was flipping the camera around and flying through the levels is no easy task. I doubt I could ever play the game that good o.o

I'm saying that all flash vids from AlbinoBlackSheep, Ebaum's World and similar rip-off merchants are banned. They nick all their stuff that people submit to places like Newgrounds and make money off the ads on the page they put them on.

I'm not saying that all non-Newgrounds vids are banned but those that have been stolen are.
