Blocking an attack is kind of like dodging it - it doesn't quite count as forcing a hit. Keep in mind that you aren't going to block everything - keep it believable basically ^^

NPCs who canonically have a mega evolving pokemon obviously are allowed to use it - although they are likely to only use it when a situation calls for it. This is particularly true for gym leaders who have to be a difficult but fair challenge for whomever they're up against. ^^

Items with an alleged association with a legendary are fine and don't need particular approval so long as there's no involvement of their associated legendary.

As for a Darkrai/Cresselia encounter - those two usually do pop up in the same places on the rare occasion they do at all - but yes, the more detail i have about what you want to do, the easier i can come to a decision on this sort of things. But that's for private conversations rather than profile messages. ^^

Depends on the context. Particular boards have particular guidelines regarding images. What did you have in mind?

Using images as infographics to mark a pokemon's health and the move used during battles. So it would constitute of an image of one pokemon (or two, if I include the backview of the opponent) and their subsequent information following. It would be in the Pokemon Roleplay board and would likely be the format for atleast a few posts, depending on how long the battle is. I have a mock image I can send you if you wish

In short, yes, it's possible to engage with these particular settings in ways that don't involve legendaries or require partiiiiiiiicular permissions, but it's a bit of a risk and may eventually need to lead for requesting an encounter. I'd say that if something like this comes up, it's probably a good idea to ask in advance. ^^

He kept breaking roleplay rules and I think the last straw was using unauthorised use of a legendary reference to try and make his oc the strong centre of attention. I think if you check Galar New generations, the locked one, in the pokemon roleplay forums Stellar finally took away his roleplay privileges

Mega Evolutions need to be individually approved - it's not a per-RP situation, it's a per-character situation. Actually read our rules for details, please.

You should be doing that anyway as your attempt at an RP contained no in-character content and contained barely one line, and was thus removed.

We had a few encounters approved over time - but in most cases, those RPs never actually went anywhere or even got to the point where the approved legendaries actually showed up before fizzling off because the kidlets wandered off to the next shiny thing.

(Which is a shame, there were a few pretty cool story concepts)

So yeah, basically, if they encountered mega evolution in the past, that's not to be unexpected. If they have access to it currently or had access to it in the past, THAT would require approval.

So long as the items aren't used to actively summon the legendary and have a very good reason for being involved in the plot, I don't think there should be much of an issue. Just remember that they are meant to be incredibly rare, with all that entails.

I really like the website. But I'm not sure if its for me. Some rules are quite strict and not all I agree on. Mega stones I agree can be overpowered but asking some head admins for permission to use one is a little overpowering. But of course I'll always be open to opinions and this is just mine.

Yeah, it's perfectly possible - like I said, I merged your old account into your current one already, so no harm done - and that's a valid enough reason.

In the future, however, if you forget your password and don't have access to the email address the account was registered under (so requesting a password reset is not an option) - contact a staff member as soon as possible and let us know there was a problem, so we can merge things and not retroactively discover a "rule break" like that. ^^

Written works have no restrictions re: legendaries! However, if you intend to have characters from a written work cross over into an RP (exactly as they are, as opposed to an AU version of the character) and they encountered a legendary in the work, that's when things get a bit more complicated and require approval - but that would apply just to the RP, not the work itself. ^^

All posts in the RP forums must contain in-character content. OOC notes are permitted as long as they are not the majority of the post, with the majority of the post being IC. For anything else, use discussion threads in the RP discussion boards or PMs. ^^
