Even looked at what Laura drew and couldn't help but smile. It was a nice image, and that activity was something Even would love to do in the future. Even's smile faded as he showed Laura his picture. By comparison, it was a rather crude drawing that used stick figures of all things. Still the point of the image came through loud enough. It was two people sitting by a campfire in the middle of the woods at the dead of night just sitting back and in the process of enjoying marshmallows.

I promise we'll go camping someday, trust me...

Even's hand began to shake as he showed Laura the picture. Even then got up and handed it to Ms. Pinto before he walked out the room without having said a word. Even's session finished a little early, so he had a minute or two of free time. Even used it to sit on the floor by a nearby locker deep in thought.

The older student was in the back of the class, quietly rest ringing his acoustic guitar he carried everywhere with him. The English teacher seemed rather fond of Roman, as he always got a straight at in her class. "Roman... Could you give us the definition of rapt?" She asked softly. "Rapt," he started, staring at at hat emo kid, Rev. Then his gaze shifted to Lis. "To be completely transfixed on a certain person or thing, the point of obsession." He finished, his eyes an icy blue. He finished rest ringing his well loved instrument. Everyone knew Roman. You either loved him. Or hated him. But no one really knew him. No one. So he was sort of the mysterious student who you saw acting like he was alive for about 5 minutes. Then he was just emotionless. Roman, was by no means Emo. But when you're a kid who's got voices in his head whispering things to him, you'd be pretty messed up too.

Laura walked out, and sat next to Even, after giving her picture to Ms. Pinto. "That was a great drawing of yous!" she exclaimed, with a close eyed smile. It really was. "What are you dreaming in that drawing?" she asked. Before she let Even answer, she looked at the clock, as the bell rang, signaling her next class. "I go to music class next." Laura said, with a wave of her hand. Then she left, completely leaving her stuff in English class.

Eva looked up as the bell rang. She grabbed her book and her backpack and quickly left. She took the route with less people and hoped no one would bother her. "Hey, fatty!" A bully called. Eva hugged her book closer and sped up, as if she didn't hear them. "Hey!" They sped up and grabbed her bookbag, pulling her back. "Listen when I'm talking to you." They said, pushing her to the wall. She gulped. "Y-yes, I will..." She said quietly, glancing up at them and then looking back to the ground.

Even got up to walk to his wood-shop class, only to see another bully picking on another student now too far from where he was.

Darn it, why, WHY is it always me?

Even walked over to the bully, Henry again (Did he never learn?) and shot the guy a glare.

"Back off, if you know what's good for you." Even said with a tone of deathly intimidation.

Laura was walking down to music class, after she stopped by her locker to grab her piano book. She saw at this time, Henry, who was picking on another girl. "Move, Henry." Laura said sternly, refusing to punch him. "What are you going to do about it, punk?" Henry said, as she shoved her a bit. "I'm not scared of you." Laura said. Laura could see a tad of fear in his eyes, as he looked at Even, who approached, Eva, and Laura. He backed away with a glare, and left.

Eva sighed in relief as the bully left, though she felt slightly guilty for it. She had thought maybe picking on her may be a way for the bully to release whatever repressed emotions he was hiding. "Thank you, but... you really didn't have to..." Eva said softly to Even and Laura, lightly scratching her arm out of nervosity.

"Good, that worked out better than expected. Don't thank me, I had a score to settle." Even said to Eva before he moved to walk away...only to see the Principle right behind him.

"Look principle..." Even started to say before the Principle cut him off.

"You don't need to explain yourself. I saw the whole thing. You're good. I'm not here to punish you. After that exchange I'm here to give you an offer." The Principle explained, which caused Even to raise an eyebrow.

"How would you like to be our new Hall Monitor?" The Principle explained. Even stood there in silence.

What...

(This has got to be the funniest thing I've ever read. People standing up to bullies. Too bad this doesnt happen IRL. Would have saved me a lot of trouble. )

Roman asked to be excused, a few minutes before class, and the bell rang while he was waiting out the rest of class in the bathroom, scrubbing his hands furiously. It looked like their were black inkstains on his skin, but it was all in his hands. He sighed, coming out of the class, his hands bright red and irritated, as he picked up his stuff. People had written the words "Ro likes Bros." all over his binder. He sighed disgustedly again, and shoved it into his carry bag, and grabbed his guitar, stalking off to his next class lazily. He stared at his shoes as he went, not making eye contact.

"It's no problem, Henry's always bugging me, ever since I told him I liked him. He thinks I'm a creep." Laura said, with a small sigh. Then Laura heard Principal Eli's offer. "You should totally do it!" she exclaimed, as she smiled at him. But Laura had to get to class, so without an answer, she stalked off to music. As she sat down with her piano book, she awaited the teacher who directed the class.
(@Asriel Hydreigon-murr have you made the info yet? I'm sorry, but I was kind of waiting on you...)

"I appreciate the offer, but why?" Even asked, being picked as a Hall Monitor was the last thing he expected today.

"Quite frankly there are too many incidents in this school, incidents I've been made unaware of. I'd like you to act as our little enforcer. No one can quite a crowd like you. It would be a show of good will and give some faith to the school board that you had grown past your reputation when you got here." Principle Eli explained.

"Fine, how does it work?" Even asked.

"Simply, we've gone ahead and canceled your Wood-Shop class, making it transfer over to your sixth period class. During this period every day you will explore the halls and make sure no funny business goes on. Do we understand each other?" Principle Eli asked as Even gave a nod before he was given his Hall Monitor badge.

"Remember, no trouble. Especially from you. Got it?" Principle Eli asked as Even nodded before the Principle left. Even let out a sigh and began to roam the halls, ready to begin his newfound day job.

Lis had made her way out of the lame classroom, greeted with drama by Henry and a few other students. Rolling her eyes, she muttered how he never learned when to stop. She tossed her books into her backpack, grabbed her music book, and sighed. The pretty girl stalked with irritation towards the music room. She noticed Roman, who seemed incredibly focused on his shoes. Lis bit the inside of her cheek, clutching the clarinet book tightly. She was excellent at clarinet, some could say incredible.

She glanced at Roman again, who was in front of her, then at the kids behind her. She didn't know why, but she felt hollow and upset. She jumped when an arm was slung around her shoulder. Her eyes quickly traveled to see who it was, and they pierced the person lightly. It had been one of Henry's pals, the same who talked to her earlier. “What are you doing?” She said uncomfortably. “Nothin',” he replied lazily. His grip around her shoulders tightened. “Then please stop,” she said, furrowing her eyebrows. His arm didn't budge.

Roman fought the urge to stop, turn around, and punch that dolts face in. One of Henry's buddies was walking up to him with a smirk. Roman sighed and just roughly pushed him aside, so hard in fact that the kid dropped his stuff. He was simply at his end with how much people trashed on him for no reason. He didn't even care. He slowed slightly, so he could step in if things between the guy and Lis before it got too serious. He wasn't going to be an jerk if the guy was just a good friend, or just a jokester who was bored.

The other kid glowered at Roman, who promptly have him the finger, with a grin, shaking his head. He honestly didn't care if he got suspended anymore. He was easily smart enough to drop out and do his own thing. But he stuck around because he knew other people were far less fortunate than him, even though he was what you could describe as poor.

((Don't forget about the swearing rule :)))

“Stop,” Lis repeated to the teenager. He seemed to be getting mad at her. “Why should I?” He taunted. Lis looked him cold in the eye, breathing in. She grabbed his wrist that was around her, giving him a viscous snake bite. He yelped, pulling his hand back. At his distraction, Lis quickly gave him a rough punch to the gut. He groaned, and stumbled against a locker. Lis tightened her grip on her book, glaring at the boy. She looked at Roman, who tossed another one of his friends away.

Trusting that he could get rid of anymore of the jerks, she walked up to his pace, next to him. She walked evenly with him, but not too close to make him feel awkward. Traveling towards the music classroom, she stayed near him, almost as if he were a good defense for her. Relying on him the entire way, she didn't say a word.

(thanks for the save. Ugh XD)

Roman was still staring at his shoes, carrying his beatup leather bag, his guitar case having priority on his back. He huffed softly, rubbing his eyes with his clearly irritated. Another thing to note, the teenager never had nails, due to his dedication to guitar, and he was often so stress that he hit them all off over stupid things.

"Does that sort of thing happen a lot to you?" He asked gently, not knowing if he would strike a nerve. He seemed to get labeled with that "Badguy" stigma, and he was surprised she would be seen walking next to him. They had talked before, but never like actually talked. Usually just about teachers they disliked and the such. The voices whispered something strange, and not even rude. More nice descriptions of Lis, than he had ever thought was possible for the particularly malovent voice that taunted him daily.

And for the first time in a long time. Roman visibly smiled.

Lis nodded. “More often than needed,” she replied, a bit hushed. She was sick of the types of people who couldn't get it in their heads that she wasn't comfortable with their actions. It repeatedly happened in middle school as well as high school, but it wasn't as bad back then.

Lis, to her surprise, noticed that Roman was smiling. He didn't do that often. There was a small smile on her face, too, and she sighed. “It's dumb, really,” she said with a hint of frustration. “They can't understand personal space...” Lis paused. “Oh, shoot, I don't have a right to say that.” Her face flushed and she fumbled with her bracelet. “I mean, I hope you don't mind that I'm walking so close to you,” she stuttered.

"Erm.. You're fine." He said with a slightly uncomfortable laugh. Thankfully the music room was in front of them. The two thankfully were in like separate sections of the class, so they didn't have to this conversation unless they wanted to. Roman held the door for her, as he did with everybody. He was mysterious, not Ungentlemanly.

Lis weakly laughed, too. She probably sounded stupid, but she ignored that fact. Roman held the door for everybody, and Lis walked into the room, murmuring a small 'thank you'. She traveled to her assigned seat, where her clarinet case sat under the desk. Grabbing it, she clicked it open and began connecting the body pieces together. Her Vandoren reed was in her mouth until she slipped the ligature on the mouthpiece. Then putting the reed on, she tightened it and rested her fingers on the holes in the instrument.

Others opened their instruments, too, put them together, and started playing scales and tuning. Lis also practiced, and to her satisfaction, a clean, clear note came out. She went over the break, hitting the notes perfectly in a scale.

Rev practically stormed into class and walked directly to Lis. "You, you of all people, had the audacity, of getting into a fight without me! Now on a normal day this would have been just an annoyance, but I have missed Laura's fight and now your fight! Honestly people! Save some stuff for me!" He threw his arms up in annoyance and walked to the guitar section.

He pulled out one of the two styles of guitar he had currently with him, the ukulele. There was something elegant about the instrument, the light, soft sounds it makes. He pulled a chair over and began to strum, going up and down the treble clef.

Even walked through the empty halls, classes in session. Even had to admit, this new Hall Monitor gig offered him at the very least a nice break for the usual routine. However any further hopes for a relaxing period came to an end when he saw a couple students having a conversion outside a bathroom door.

"Having a nice chat? Well save it in between periods. Now get back to class...or face the consequences." Even said as he gave the pair a death glare; that was all Even needed as to the two kids ran back to their class out of fear.

Well, so far so good. I guess.

Rye skipped the scales, already having memorized several scales. He had a lot of free time on his hands, so he mostly just learned songs from Blink-182 , Simple Plan, and Greenday. Although he would occasionally play some Metallica or Led Zeppelin.

(No inappropriate actions either,@_Umbreon_ in which this case, the finger, is. Sorry, but some of us could be kids.)

Laura, still waiting in the music room, looked around, as she saw a couple of kids file in, holding different instruments. Laura, kept her stare's and gazes to herself, as she looked at her piano book, and wondered what she and the rest of her Monday music class would play for the session.

Lis, taken aback by Rev's sudden outburst, stammered. “Uh, o-okay...” When he departed to take his instrument, leaving Lis slightly confused. “Um...” she murmured to herself. Holding her clarinet across her lap, she closed her eyes, tapping her foot to the beat of her favorite song, Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

Continuing tapping her foot, she opened her eyes and looked at her hand, which was decorated with a fierce scar on the back of it. As a kid, she found the utensil drawer, and ending up getting stitches. Smiling at her stupidity, she let her foot tap as she studied the windows.

He played the first two notes of that distinctive song, before switching to something else entirely. He didn't know why hI did it. Maybe if it was because he was immature. Or clueless. Or bored. He didn't really have to worry or feel anything lately. His mess took care of that. He glanced over at Rev. "Emo who plays a Uke." he laughed quietly to himself.

Lis, quietly minding her own business, felt discomfort near her nose. She rubbed it, to be surprised with a striking crimson. Her eyes widened as she covered her nose, which apparently decided to bleed. Getting up quickly, after setting her clarinet on her seat, she rushed to the teacher, explaining why she was covering her nose in a muffled voice.

The teacher's eyes widened and they nodded. They stood up, asking for somebody to escort Lis, whose hand was brightly red.

"I'll do it." Laura said, as she stood up. She didn't want to miss her piano solo, but she knew it was what a good classmate would do. She walked over to Lis, and asked, "So you got a nosebleed?" Without letting Lis respond, Laura put a gentle hand on Lis' back, guiding her into the hallway. "Hang on...your Lis, the popular kid everyone likes!" Laura exclaimed, excited that she was with the most popular kid in school.

Roman began to protest, but merely sighed and sank back farther and farther into his seat. "ugh.. Preppy.." He muttered, mslightly jealous

Even continued to watch the hallways, thankful another incident had been avoided to this point. However, Even only had one thought in his head at the moment.

...I never had a friend, and I was all alone...and now I have two.

Even couldn't grasp the idea that someone genuinely considered him to be a friend. However, Laura's opinion of him was based on an above average front he had put on since coming here. If she knew his backstory, she would want nothing to do with him like everyone else. Even was sure of that. Even then shook his head and continued to check the halls, trying to get his mind off those thoughts.

As Lis let Laura lead her to the nurses office, she weakly laughed at Laura's excited sentence. “Yeah, I suppose. You're the girl who proved Henry wrong, huh? It's Laura, right? Nice to meet you.” Smiling, Lis nodded. “He can get out of hand, so it's good you showed him who's boss.” Lis spotted a boy, seemingly hall monitor, walking with a 'deep in thought' face. She blinked, and turned her attention back to the path of the nurse's office.

Even saw someone walk down the hall and let out a sigh to do his job. He also saw Laura, and decided to change his style in this instance.

"Halt, do you both have permission to be outside of class?" Even asked, truthfully he felt they were doing nothing wrong but still, he had a job to do.

Lis turned her head towards the male and stopped walking. Without a word, she removed her hand from her face. Proving her point, she rested it about in front of her stomach in a cup formation, careful to catch any blood that went astray from her face. “I have a bloody nose,” she said blankly, as if she didn't actually have one.

Waiting a second for him to see, she covered her nose again, shoving her free hand in her jacket pocket.

"I see. Then you may proceed to the nurse's office. Sorry for wasting your time." Even said as he began to walk off, before he turned to look at the girl.

"So, do you know Laura?" Even asked, why he couldn't tell you but Even was too curious not to ask.

“No, we've just met,” she said, her voice muffled. “I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you were part of the issue with Henry, and that you do know her. Dunno why you'd ask, but, hey. We all have reasons.”

Lazily blowing a silver flyaway from her face, she smiled her usual pretty smile and said, “I'd kind of like to stop bleeding out of my nose. Of course, if you've got questions, you're free to tag along.”

"I'll walk with you to the office. Beyond that who knows. I do have halls to monitor." Even said as he began to walk with her to the office.

"Henry was being a jerk. Nothing else to say. I would probably be facing a detention right now or worse if Laura didn't get involved." Even explained.

“She's good,” Lis agreed in a quiet voice. She looked at Laura out of the corner of her eye, smiling. “Henry's definitely... unique.” Lis felt sort of bad, because she and Henry had nothing against each other. “But...” she said, trying to find the right words to form.

Shaking her head, Lis embarrassedly chuckled. “Nah, never mind.” She was going to attempt to say how he could be good, but she couldn't believe it that much either.

"Sadly I know his type. I was actually worse than him before coming here." Even said in a whisper, an effort to make sure Laura could not hear him but Lis could.

"She's the first person to think I'm not worthless, and I don't want my previous lifestyle and inevitable future bad choices to hurt her. I was hoping you were a friend of hers and could talk her out of wasting her time with me." Even said to Lis in an even softer voice, turning his head to the ground.

Happened to be sitting in the back of the class, retuning his guitar furiously, in an attempt to get the sound to perfection. He didn't care that he had just cut his finger on the high e string, and didn't realize I was now dripping onto his shirt. Thankfully his sweatshirt was on the floor beside

A few kids began to point and whisper. The 3rd voice in his head, now decided that it would be wise to start egging Roman on. The teenager somewhat crumpled, bending down over, and passing out. His guitar clattered to the ground, a loud cracking noise as the head split in half, as Roman fell onto the instrument, unconscious.

Lis looked at the boy slowly. “That's funny. You're scared of hurting her in the future, right? Well, you never know if you will unless you make an attempt to change your actions,” Lis said in a hushed murmur. She looked down as well, eyes half open as she remembered how she had been hurt by somebody's actions many years ago.

A sort of sad look lit in her eyes. She pulled her hand from her nose, which stopped bleeding and was now dry. She let the red hand carefully fall to her side as she sighed. “I know you want to protect her... but...” Lis looked up at him with feisty eyes that replaced the sad ones. “Look at her. She's not somebody who's going to let you stop her, no matter how hard you try. You won't be able to convince her otherwise, 'kay?” Her voice was still at a minimum so that only he could hear her. “Also, I don't think you're worthless,” she added with a friendly tone, looking back down.
