I doubt Nyoko would have any overpowered pokémon since her primary interest is photography ,and Friedrich primarily is a researcher/coordinator with occasional gym battles maybe 2 per region. I doubt he would have any over powered pokémon either.
Oh! I love that idea! Henry would be perfect for that.
As for Ellie, I already have an idea for her. Catches a Marial (because Johto is right next door) and starts with that.

Another thing is; a concept I really like is that the Gym Leaders use different Pokémon based on how many badges you have. So in another region, if you have badges from the other region, maybe there are different rules for what mons you can use.
I kinda like that too. A person living in Fuchsia City doesn't have to travel all the way to Pewter City just for their first gym battle ,but then again if you remember back in Kanto. Gary challenged Giovanni early on and got mopped the floor with(I think... I could be wrong). So if you went off that it would be unlikely they go easy on people due to lack of badges. Though for RP sake its a neat possibility.
Oh, that’s another thing. Another thing I like is that if you don’t live near a lab where a prof. hands out starters, you can go to a Gym Leader and borrow one of their Pokémon to help you catch your own, like Wally does in Gen 3.
Then again, Giovanni was using an illegal Pokemon to battle Gary. Though, Norman sends you away to get stronger before battling him.

@Aleph: Null, Pokemon that are not water types, or bird pokemon will not really appear in Kanto in this RP. Also regarding Henry, I do not mind that he becomes a companion. Also do not forget that if you want to, you can choose not to evolve him until he reaches a certain story point anyway. It could even be another region before that happens.

Also is it okay if my trainers kept all their pokémon with them between regions? If that's okay with you Friedrich will likely cap at collecting 6 pokémon(full team). Same with Nyoko.
@RenzFlintrock, Yes I am ok with that. I think it might be good idea for other regions with NPCs, so it would help out a lot.
@ThAtGuY101, That is why you have the portable PC. It is for you to keep all of your pokemon together, and not have to wait for a PC to take out the pokemon that you want to. I had thought that part through, as I like the idea of pokemon with their trainer, but then trainer gets new friends to be with.

Maybe there are rules for the league that for gym battles you can only use Pokémon that you obtained in that region? That way you can have your other pokes when you want them. Maybe you’re allowed to use your Pokémon from other regions when you compete in the tournament, though?
One pokemon is allowed to be in that region's gym battles. They are like a partner pokemon for the character they are connected to. For one Ash also does this. Also I think the rules will be no fully evolved pokemon can challenge the low level gyms.
Sounds good. But if they pick teams based on how many badges you have, maybe you can’t use certain evolved Pokémon until you have a certain number of badges.
Luckily neither of my characters have any intentions in going to the league.
Which reminds me, will the league be a competition like the Anime, or like in the games where you face the elite 4 and take on the current champion?
Anime the winner of the tournament will face the elite four then the champion. Which I will come up with a champion for the Kanto region. After that I will allow people to maybe become a champion later on.
And the person who becomes the champion gets the duties of a champion. Which means they might not be able to show up as much as a traveler... unless champions work a lot differently to what I they do. I see them kinda like this: if gym leaders are the mayors, then the champion would be similar to the president. They have a lot of power and are responsible for quite a lot of things. I could be wrong though. It could just be a title of strongest trainer in the region, and your only duties are presiding at League Tournaments as a commentator and then accepting challenges.
Well, there are others who have beaten Champions, yet deny the title and the responsibility that the title Champion holds and they go out traveling, giving the role of Champion to the last one who had it before being defeated.
Well I have one character who is a champion. He is the current Champion of Galar at the moment. He started out as just a character who was companion, then his story evolved into something different in the RP that he is involved in. Medic you will know this character. If we make it to Galar, I plan to bring this character back to play the sameish role he had done in that RP.

No he is not Leon. He is actually someone who did not want to be champion in the first place, but due to some things, he was kind of catapulted into it.

I'm right there with you... Friedrich is just hoping to gain valuable resaerch ,have fun coordinating ,and maybe a gym battle or two. Nyoko is just going around taking pictures... that's it. maybe one gym battle. Maybe one contest. maybe not even that. She might just take pictures and post stories and photos and stuff in her blog, "The Too Cool Blog"
To be honest, I'm wondering how much of the gym challenge David will do. He might find it fun, or he might find there's something else he'd rather do. Either way he'll be low in funds, so he will probably have to spend as much time doing tasks as official league stuff.
He could always pick up temp work as a waiter for a restraunt or something every now and then. It would be a fun addition to the story to see these type of things being brought into the RP. He could also do errands as well, he could go to the pokecenter and look on the notice board if anyone needs help with something. This RP is very much a free reign on how posts will go. I will guide the story forward, but you guys have the freedom to add to it as well.

Oh sorry I forgot to get a post in yesterday. I was just very tired from work, and did not want to do much other then read yesterday. I also done a bit of drawing, but I digress that I was being a bit lazy.
I like to think Friedrich will pick up a notice from the pokécenter here and there. And Nyoko makes plenty money with photography. Selling pictures to people along the way.
