Pokémon Trading Card Game Online Coming To iPad

During the Pokémon World Championships it has been revealed that the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online will be coming to the iPad sometime in 2014.

The news was revealed thanks to YouTuber and the Pokémon Trading Card Game Worlds commentator Josh Wittenkeller tweeted a picture of the game running on an iPad. Kotaku then contacted the Pokémon Company for confirmation on when the game would be released.

I'd like to hope that it's coming to Android, but I'm pretty certain it's just an AIR app wrapper and is functionally the same beast as the desktop client. Which probably means it's as inefficient as the desktop client and unlikely to work well enough on the broad range of Android devices to be worth the effort.

Would be a lot more interesting to see it on the Wii U, really.
