I was wondering what your limitations are as far as team construction? I.e: Type based teams not starting with stupid over powered stuff. Also, are player characters allowed to start with a Pokémon that ISN’T a traditional starter? Such as Red with his Poliwag. Sorry for the public wall post still trying to figure things out

You actually can. In this site, your character can start with any Pokemon (just as long as they aren't Mythical/Legendary Pokemon/Ultra Beasts, and Type: Null and Silvally are also off limits).

As far as team construction, there really is no limit as it is up to the person who made them. They just have to follow the Pokecharms rules and, by extension, the RP creator's rules on their thread.

I became staff thanks to @Linkachu and @Magpie. Back when I joined (2011), Pokecharms were looking for a news reporter and I was writing for another Pokemon site. Magpie knew of me and suggested me to Linkachu who then chased me down with a stick until I became part of the news team (this may or may not be true).

I became a moderator a couple of years later simply because it made sense to bring me onto the team that way too.
