Day 1: The balanced eclipse festival

It was almost morning in Twilight City. Milo was sitting on a bench looking at the buses and trains pass by as the stars danced around, until his friend Ralph came out of nowhere with his ghost Pokemon team. "Dragapult told me that you're up and alive on his radar." Said Ralph. "No, I'd say you're late at this time around." Said Milo. Milo and Ralph saw a Mankani from around the corner. "Hey, Mankani." Said Ralph. "Want to sit right here? We saved a spot for you."

Previously Night's Shadow
Makani looked up from where she was grooming Star, her Alolan Ninetales by pulling her fingers through the gleaming, soft, fluffy fur. Pixie, her Sylveon; Shadow, her Mimikyu; and Wing, her Togekiss; were not far off. At the sound of Milo’s voice, she stood with a wry smile and made her way over there. Pixie leaped up onto Star’s back, hitching a ride, and she returned Wing and Shadow. “Hey,” she said, nodding first to Milo, then to Ralph, before sitting down in the seat provided. “How are y’all doing.” It was kind of a half-question that showed some interest, but little emotion.

"We're all doing good." Said Milo. Snivy came out of Milo's Poke Ball and began to play with Ralph and Mankani's Pokemon team. "Snivy really likes to play with our Pokemon, doesn't she?" Said Ralph. "Well, It is interested in having playtime with other Pokemon." Said Milo. "Speaking of playtime, check out the sun and the moon over there!" Said Ralph. "The festival's lit up!" Ralph and his ghost team watched the sun rise and the moon fall from the horizon along with Milo and his team.

Down the street a short way, a figure was walking along. In the sky there was enough predawn light to know that the sun would be over the horizon any instant, and the stars and moon were quickly fading out of view. The figure gave a stretch as it walked along. As it drew closer, it became easier to distinguish details. It was a boy, somewhere in the middle of his teens, wearing a tee shirt and jeans, plus a backpack. beside him floated... something. It was several feet long, straight, but with one bit of it that seemed to be flowing gently.
The boy seemed to recognize the people on the bench, and hastened his step. "Hey, guys!" He came up to the bench, and as the sun began to rise, it was possible to distinguish the Pokemon floating beside him; a Honedge. It was a little different from other Honedge, though, in that its scarf was red instead of blue. It stayed fairly close to the boy as he greeted his friends. "They let my school out for the festival! How about you guys, any plans for the day?"

"Well I don't know." Said Milo. "Hey, Ralph. What do you call this festival again?" "It's called the balanced eclipse festival." Said Ralph. "Every New Years Eve, they celebrate the sun and the moon close together at a perfect length, then the festival begins. From there they can play games at the arcade, hangout at the restaurants, and they can even have Pokemon battles out on the streets." "Oh." Said Milo, he then turned his head to Soran. "So, Soran." Said Milo. "Any thoughts in coming with us to the club?" "Yeah." Said Ralph. "We sure do need more grunts who's got the slick moves to cheer up the entire city."

Previously Night's Shadow
Makani sighed and leaned back against the bench. “My whole team is restless,” she said in a bored tone. “I think some street battles will do them all some good.” Pixie sat up abruptly on Star’s back, ears pricked up in excitement. The girl grinned at the Sylveon. “Yeah, you heard me right. It’ll be fun for the whole lot of ya.” On cue, Shadow burst from his Pokeball, unable to remain in the claustrophobic capsule any longer. Wing, not one to be left out, followed suit, and Makani gave a joking sigh. “Fine, stay out. Hello, Soran,” she added, almost as an afterthought. “Excited for the festival?”

"What about you, Milo?" Asked Ralph towards Milo. "Are excited for the festival?" "Yeah." Said Milo. "I am excited." Milo then looks up to the night sky. "Mom, dad, are you both enjoying this?" Milo said to the sky. "Bet you miss your parents, have you?" Said Ralph. "True your dad was part of Team Aqua, but raising you was the right thing to do. Even if Team Aqua's boss agrees to let him go." "Yeah, you're probably right." Said Milo. "Besides, a little ice cream wouldn't hurt." "You brought ice cream for us?" Asked Ralph. "Yeah, I got four for each of us." Said Milo. "One for you, one for Soran, one for Mankani, and one for me." Milo gave one ice cream to three of his friends. "What type of ice cream is this?" Asked Ralph. "It's sea salt ice cream." Said Milo. "This was Team Aqua's healing food. But nowadays, it's everyone's favorite ice cream. Sure it tastes like salt, but it even tastes great." "Welp, a little salt wouldn't hurt no ghost type specialist, right?" Said Ralph. "Let's eat, gang!" Ralph and Milo then began to eat the ice cream together.

Michael Haakonsson followed the band of jovial Team Beat members, his Emboar (known as Pyoog) at acdu plodding along at his left. Michael was pleased that the festival was going well so far, but was more focused in trailing the teens. There were three boys and a girl, with one of the boys looking to be a recruit prospect. He knew they would see him soon if they hadn't already, but that was fine. Team Beat and the TCAF had a lot of common ground, and although Michael wasn't really a fan of their optimistic outlooks, he respected them enough to keep in contact, with both groups sharing intelligence about Team Fear. But for now, he would observe. He was on security detail after all, on the lookout for trouble.

Soran put a hand to his chin. "Both of those sound really fun... maybe we can do both?" He glanced at Makani's Pokemon team. He wasn't an expert, but he had seen them battle once or twice and they were all far stronger than any of his Pokemon. He might still give it a shot, though, if a challenge came. He then realized there was ice cream forthcoming and accepted it. "Thanks!" He took a bite. It was strange, salty yet sweet. It wasn't bad at all, but he preferred chocolate. He decided to let his team try it, too. He held the ice cream in one hand while he dug into his pocket with the other. He pulled out three Pokeballs in their shrunken form. He threw them up in the air, and there they enlarged and released the Pokemon inside. Out came three Pokemon: A white and green Pokemon, humanoid and about the size of a small child, with two rounded pink horns on its head, which materialized and then immediately teleported behind Soran's leg. Then there was a purplish bug with a tough and glistening shell, with two big antennae and tail stingers. It just stood still, antennae twitching and yellow eyes staring at the nearby trainers and their Pokemon. Finally, out popped a pink-and-cream kitten. It stood still and blinked for a few seconds, then bounded over to Soran and sat on his foot, purring.
"Hey guys, I've got some ice cream for you."
The ice cream was still fairly cold, so he pinched off a piece and offered it to his Pokemon, one after one, except for the Honedge. Soran knew that she didn't really eat, so he just gave some to the others. Once they had finished, the Venipede and Skitty moved off to play with the other Pokemon, but the Kirlia stayed near Soran. The Honedge just floated.

Milo even realized a member of the T.C.A.F. He threw his Poke Ball into the air and sent out Noivern. "Noivern, can you deliver this sea salt ice cream to that guy down there?" Asked Milo to his Pokemon. "Noivern.("Understood.")" Said Noivern. Noivern took the sea salt ice cream with him, found Michael, and gave him a sea salt ice cream. Afterwards, he returned back to Milo. "Good job, Noivern." Said Milo as he scratched Noivern's chin. "You know, our team and the T.C.A.F have a lot of fair share in common." Said Ralph. "Hey, Milo, Mankani, Soran, have you heard the news of the reactor core crisis?" "I've heard that before." Said Milo. "That happened when parents died." Noivern then began to warm Milo up with his wings. "Knowing that Archie, the leader of Team Aqua, has been yelling at most Team Aqua grunts every time they keep on failing their evil plans and stuff, He could have taken his anger to another level growling at a jellyfish Pokemon. No offense, Jellicent." Said Milo. "But he's been acting quiet lately after my dad died." "Probably heartbroken to say something." Said Ralph. "More than that." Said Milo. "All Team Aqua, T.C.A.F, and our team are caught interested about the leader of Team Fear. The guy who disappeared on the buzz feed over the radio news." He then looked up at Noivern who shaking a little bit. "This might sound far fetched, but they're after reactor cores all over the city." Said Milo.

Makani tentatively licked the ice cream, then made a face. “I’m not really a big fan of salty-sweet, myself,” she said lamely. In truth, her stomach had seized up at the first taste, refusing to let her eat until further notice. Star glanced at her knowingly, then nodded as if to say Shove it down your throat, your eating disorders be damned. She sighed; the ice cream really was good, and she didn’t want to waste it, but she didn’t want to eat it, either. She took a bite, before realizing that Ralph and Milo were talking. Her stomach seized again as the cold dessert slid down her throat, but she tried to concentrate on what they were saying. Her eyebrows lifted in disbelief.

“Reactor cores?” Makani asked, bemused. “What on earth could they want with those? Other than, blowing them up to strike fear in people’s hearts, obviously. Actually, that could be what they’re doing...” She broke off into incomprehensible mutters (pulling a Deku here) as she contemplated the possibilities. Shadow creaked at her, and she shut up immediately once she realized she’d trailed off again.

"That's actually true." Said Milo towards Mankani. "Even if Archie finds out about this, I'm calling this out." "Hey, I'm not giving up on you, buddy!" Said Ralph. "Doesn't matter if Team Fear strikes us with fear, we've only got the sick beat by our side. Last time I checked with the chief of the T.C.A.F, Team Fear wasn't actually on the scoreboard when both T.C.A.F and our team went on the front lines." Milo took thought for a moment and then laughed when he heard what Ralph said. "I knew you'd encourage us with that sentence of yours." Said Milo. This made Ralph blush. "I couldn't care much about my fears if I had the chance." Said Ralph. "Speaking of the chance, did you brought the radio juke box with you?" Said Milo.

Soran nodded. "Definitely scares people, I can tell you that. Everyone at school was talking about it. I'm pretty sure it also does a lot of damage when it blows up." He licked his ice cream again. He didn't notice that Makani was having trouble with hers. He broke another piece of his own and gave it to the Kirlia, who ate it slowly and then began to lick her fingers. The Venipede walked closer to the Snivy, antennae waving and sensing the surroundings. The impulsive Skitty jumped over to the Sylveon and Alolan Ninetales and gave a meow of greeting. Her tail was waving around behind her, but luckily she hadn't noticed her tail yet.

"It sure does-" Said Milo towards Soran before the lights went out. It was a blackout. Milo looked at the second reactor core and sighed in relief that the second reactor core didn't exploded. "That's the second blackout tonight." Said Milo. Ralph scoffed in disbelief. "This won't scare me." Said Ralph. "Are you sure about that? Last time I checked with our hideout club, the lights were flickering." Said Milo. "Relax, we have power box right here." Ralph inspected the power box and fixed the power back. Until when the lights turned on dimly, Ralph can hear screams from down below. "Dragapult, scan the area." Said Ralph. "Dragapult.("On it.")" Said Dragapult. Dragapult looked around to see if there are citizens in need of help. And he did found them. Only a few citizens were caught in a trap of reject bots. Dragapult returned back to Ralph to give the report. "Dragapult told me that a few reject bots are causing mayhem down the streets." Said Ralph. "That does not look good at all." Said Milo.

Michael took the offered ice cream and replied in an unusual way. He scowled at the ice cream and set it down on the lid of a nearby garbage can, and made a show of shooing the Noivern away. What was only apparent to the Noivern was that Michael began his chastisement with a wink and a subtle hand sign, indicating his true intention. Truth be told, Michael didn't like sweets. He wouldn't have eaten it under other circumstances either. But the ice cream was also a sign that the Team Beat members saw him and recognized him as an ally. That was as he intended. If either party ran into trouble, the other could aid them, and thanks to his feigned outburst, their enemy would be unlikely to know the two were in cahoots.

When the lights went down, Michael's radio link with TCAF command and control went to static, grinding out the unmistakable, ear grinding noise of total interference. It lasted only as long as the power was out, but the radio chatter that greeted him afterwards was not promising. Unlike the first outage, which hadn't had any discernable cause, this time reject bots were at large. His Clawitzer (named OPie) was out alongside Pyoog in a metaphorical and literal flash. "Reject bots nearby. You two know what to do. Let's go." He addressed his Pokemon in a serious, clipped tone. They nodded their understanding, and the trio took off towards where the reject bots were suspected to be.

"I see a T.C.A.F member that needs help!" Said Ralph. "Let's go clean up the mess over there!" Said Milo. "Noivern, take me to the streets!" "Noivern!("Roger!")" Said Noivern. Noivern then took flight with Milo and Snivy and landed near Michael to help him stop the reject bots. "Snivy, do your best!" Said Milo. "Snivy!("Got it!")" Said Snivy. Snivy went to help Pyoog clear the rest of the reject bots. "Don't worry, we'll help!" Said Milo towards Michael. Ralph arrived to help Milo and Michael as well. "Decidueye, let's show these reject bots our spooky beats!" Said Ralph. "Decidueye!("With pleasure!")" Said Decidueye.

Michael wasn't sure how to react to Team Beat immediately coming to his aid. As far as he was concerned, it wasn't necessary. But he held his tongue and simply nodded an acknowledgement.

The first reject bot lumbered into sight. It was a rickety thing, but fairly large, probably around 250 pounds. Michael pointed at it with a nod to Pyoog "Hammer Arm" he stated simply, and his Pokemon sprang forward in response, bringing its fist down like a comet. The machine's body was caved in and Pyoog shouldered the wreck aside as Michael and Clawitzer followed up. The second machine had barely come into view when an Aura Sphere from Clawitzer silenced it. Michael patted both his Pokemon on the back. So far so good. He turned to look back at the Team Beat members "Well? Are you coming?" He queried.

Hearing the mention of attacking reject bots, Soran quickly swallowed the rest of his ice cream. He was already behind, but he paused to call back his Pokemon, all except the Honedge. He grabbed her by the hilt, and surprisingly the cloth didn't wrap around his arm. He glanced at Makani. "C'mon, we gotta go help!" Then he sprinted off, ghost-blade in hand. It was a testament to the bond of the two that the Honedge allowed him to hold her by the handle. A moment later, Soran caught sight of the fighting. It looked like the others might already have things under control, but he ran on anyway. As soon as he got up to them, he saw another Reject Bot in a street off to the side. He let go of the floating sword's handle, and it immediately floated towards the bot. Soran called out a command.
"Use Fury Cutter!"
Honedge swung in midair and slashed at the bot, but its armor was tough enough to resist the blow. The ghost sword had to dodge an attack from the reject bot, but then she attacked again with another Fury Cutter. This time it hit harder, just the way the move was supposed to. Still not enough, though, and the bot prepared to attack again.

"We're right behind you!" Said Milo towards Michael. Milo then sent out Magnemite to aid him in battle. "Magnemite, use Thunder Wave!" Said Milo. "Decidueye, use Spirit Shackle!" Said Ralph. Magnemite used Thunder Wave on the reject bot Soran was having trouble with, while decidueye helped Pyoog by taking down a reject bot by using Spirit Shackle. "Magnemite!("Your service was needed to my attention!")" Said Magnemite towards Honedge. "Decidueye!("To glory, my friend! We shall fight this enemy, until the end!")" Said Decidueye towards Pyoog.

Makani leaped into the fray as well. "Wing, Pixie, Shadow, Star! You know what to do!" The squad of fairy-types was quick to attack, working seamlessly as a team. Certain pitches of whistles from Makani told them what moves to use. A sharp, piercing whistle was to dodge. The four attacked together, jumping from each bot to another, leaping over and under each other like they'd been doing for years. Makani's whistles became softer, more of a cheer then a command then. She cheered on her Pokemon with gusto.

Ralph's Decidueye took another aim at another reject bot. This time, one of them was more offensive than the others. "This one's ours, team!" Said Ralph. Until a Team Fear grunt came out of nowhere who was controlling the reject bot with a remote control. "This train station will soon make everyone crawl in fear!" Said the Team Fear grunt. "Over our dead bodies!" Said Milo. "Noivern, use Dragon Claw!" "Noivern!("Okay!")" Said Noivern. "Come on, everyone!" Said Milo. "We got to liberate this train station!" Noivern used Dragon Claw on the offensive reject bot the Team Fear grunt was controlling, leaving mild damage to the broken down robot.

Now that more people had joined the fight, Soran took up a new strategy. While his Honedge was continuing to hack away with a Fury Cutter, he called out Sting the Venipede.
“All right, buddy. Use defense curl, and when I say, use Rollout!”
The Venipede curled itself up like a pill bug and began revving up. So ran waited until he saw an opening, just after the Reject Bot was hit by the Dragon Claw from the Noivern. Then he shouted his command, and Venipede spun forward to attack the big bot. Seeing no more robot targets, Honedge looked at the Team Fear grunt. Her blue eye narrowed and she slowly began to float closer.

"Think ya'll smart at being brave, huh?" Said the Team Fear grunt. "I'll show you all something to be scared of! Ekans, show them your intimidation!" Ekans was sent into battle to frighten them. "That won't stop us!" Said Milo. "Magnemite, you know what to do!" Magnemite nodded it's head in agreement and began to aim towards Ekans. Ekans tried to use Poison sting on Magnemite, but Magnemite is only an electric and steel type, which makes poison types less effective to steel types in the first place. "You can't hold us back!" Said Milo towards the Team Fear grunt. "Yeah!" Said Ralph. "You can't make us fear you! We've got the sick beats to cancel our fears!" "Enough!" Said the Team Fear grunt. "I'll make sure you all will fear us! Ekans, bite them!" But Magnemite took the bite from Ekans to save Ralph's Decidueye. "Decidueye("Thanks, my friend!")" Said Decidueye. "Magnemite!("You are welcome!")" Said Magnemite. "Magnemite, use Thunder Shock!" Said Milo. Magnemite used Thunder Shock on Team Fear grunt's Ekans. Ekans soon fainted, and the Team Fear grunt has no Pokemon left in his team, and he returned Ekans back to his Pokeball. "We'll find all of your fears!" Said the Team Fear grunt. "WE'LL BE BACK!!!" "Yeah, yeah." Said Milo. "Ever heard of the word: "Do not disturb"?"

Now that the grunt had fled and the battle was over, Soran returned Sting to his Pokeball. When he looked around for the Honedge, the only Pokemon that had not been seen in a Pokeball so far, she was gone. As the Team Fear grunt finished shouting 'We'll be back', a red cloth wrapped around his arm. Then the Honedge began to draw off energy from the grunt, stealing some of his life force. Then she detached and slowly floated back to Soran. The boy saw her coming and looked curiously at her. "Where'd you run off to?"
The Honedge merely shook a little bit and made a soft sound that was almost akin to laughter. Soran had a guess in mind as to where she had gone, but he really had no way of knowing. Since both the Pokemon he sent out were well and accounted for, he turned to the others of the group.
"Is everyone all right? I think I have a potion or two left in my bag."

Previously Night's Shadow
Makani's final whistle of retreat started out soft and low-pitched before rising in volume and note. With that, her team disengaged and watched the grunt run. None of her Pokemon were injured badly, and she stroked each of them in turn, thanking them for their effort. "Well done, all of you," she murmured. "Wing, that Silver Wind was amazing. Shadow, what a battle. Pixie, Star; your teamwork was flawless. Great work." She straightened up and cast a carefree smile Soran's way. "My team's fine. With a bit of rest, they'll be entirely healed."

"Magnemite might've taken the bite from Ekans to save Decidueye." Said Milo. "But I think he'll need some." Magnemite went with Milo to get some healing form Soran himself. "Decidueye...("That was very bold of you, my friend.")" Said Decidueye. "Magnemite...("Always doing my best to protect, sir...")" Said Magnemite. Until they heard the P.A. sound turning on. "Attention, Market Alley St. train station has been liberated." Said the P.A. "The threat is gone. Please return to your business." With the train station liberated, the citizens returned to their business. "Looks like we've liberated one transportation station." Said Ralph. "We'll meet each other at the club. See you guys later!" Ralph soon returned his Pokemon team into their Poke Balls. Same with Milo who returned only Noivern and Snivy, but not Magnemite. "Hey, Soran." Said Milo who was waiting for Soran to heal Magnemite. "What building do you live in?"

Since the Magnemite needed some healing, Soran bent down on one knee and took off his backpack. As he unzipped it and began to dig through it for a potion, he turned to glance at Milo. The boy's question seemed a little odd to him, but it didn't really matter.
"I live in one of the apartment blocks on the west side, building 12. Why?"
He found the potion he wanted and pulled it out. He asked in a murmur for the Magnemite to hold still while he applied the potion, then spritzed the contents onto the Electric/Steel type. It was a standard potion, so it didn't heal too much damage, but Soran was fairly sure it would be enough for the Magnemite to be healed up.

Milo gave a big sigh. "I live in an apartment that connected to a train station in which we liberated now." Milo looked up his apartment called 'The Embracing Destiny' "Any time you want to take me to Team Beat's club, that would be nice." Said Milo. Soon the news feed on the small TV began to report in one of the market tents. "Today we are reported live at Market Alley St. where a member of the T.C.A.F and four members of Team Beat worked together to fight off a Team Fear grunt after cleaning the Market Alley St. train station near 'The Embracing Destiny'." Said the reporter. "Security has caught them on camera resulting that these unlikely heroes are meant to be the next heroes of world peace. Ashley Biggs PokeTV 28 news" "Ashley, I'm surprised to see how two teams work together as a team, but surely there's been an update that all of you folks might want to see." Said the news man. "There seems to be an orbital care package floating down with a parachute." A video of a care package was floating down with a parachute near the buildings and into the alleyway. "I don't know where it might land into, but I got to say that care package must've been delivered at the wrong place at the wrong time." Said the news man. "A care package?" Said Milo.

Those few moments were a tad bewildering for Soran. Between the odd question, the request for him to take Milo to the Club, and the TV broadcast that showed himself and the others working together to take down the small grunt, he had a lot filling his mind. Many questions, and very few ready answers. And finally, the announcement about the so called 'Care Package' dropped in an alleyway. Soran just shrugged. He wanted to enjoy the festival, and he said so.
"So, guys, now that that whole thing's over, wanna go do something fun? Maybe we can find a street battle to watch or something. Maybe even join one."

"Well the festival is still up, and I think we can catch the train to find at least one Pokemon battle out on the streets." Said Milo. "Besides, according to the law of Twilight City, Pokemon battles are allowed inside the city at all times, but they're not allowed near reactor cores." Milo kept listening to the news and saw that the care package has land near Team Beat's HQ club. "And it looks like that care package landed at our club." Said Milo. "We'll check it out after. we get on the train and find a Pokemon battle. What do you say? Also, how's my Magnemite?"

“Sounds great to me!” Makani enthused. “What about you?” Her Pokémon gave varying noises of affirmation, from yips to growls to creaks. “Whatever we have to do, we should get done first, then we can go do something fun! That little skirmish has got my team raring for a battle, so let’s go! No time to lose, let’s hurry!” Her boundless energy was only heightened by the fierce battle energy that seemed to surround all of them.

Soran gave a big thumbs up. “Sounds good to me! My team could probably use a battle, too.” He paused after he said that, reconsidering his words. While it was certainly a good way to free up stress and to bind with each other, Ariana might not want to battle, and the impulsive Tip would probably start a cuddle puddle. Soran dismissed these thoughts, though, and looked back at Milo. “I think your Magnemite should be fine. So, you guys ready?”

"Yup." Said Milo. "We're ready!" As Milo returned Magnemite back into his Poke Ball, he followed Soran and Mankani to the Market Alley St. train station up the escalator. From where they are at, a robotic conductor came by to greet them. "Greetings, welcome to the Market Alley St. train station." Said the conductor. "I truly thank the three of you for rescuing my train station. Ever since the reactor core crisis first started on a grizzly night, we've had so many death tolls, we can't even find out who's responsible for the attack. Anyways, if you have a Pokedex, show me yours." Milo show the conductor his Pokedex. his was an old gen 5 Pokedex. "Ah, yes." Said the conductor. "The old, Unova Pokedex. Have not seen those in decades. Does it have the PokeNav app? And a transportation card or ticket?" Milo then showed him the PokeNav app, and his transportation card. "My, my!" Said the conductor. "A level 3 golden-class membership card! We have our first returning passenger! Don't worry, your train will arrive shortly." The conductor then turned to Mankani and Soran. "What about you both?" Asked the conductor towards Soran and Mankani.

Michael looked away for a second to hide the fact that he rolled his eyes, before shrugging at the excessive bursts of emotion. It was unseemly in his opinion. It didn't matter much right now. He conferred with HQ over the radio and was told to follow the younger trainers.

Michael presented his boarding pass to the conductor and followed the Team Beat members into the station, waiting a train that would be there shortly. He didn't say anything at first, merely standing calmly with Pyoog at his side, having recalled OPie. But he eventually spoke up, inquiring "So is there a purpose to this travel? I've been ordered to accompany you but I'd like to know if you have an objective to this trip." He spoke forcefully, but without malice and managed to hide his irritation at being left in the dark.

Soran showed the conductor robot that he had the PokeNav app and his membership card, then waited for the others and walked inside. He was glad he hadn't forgotten his pass at home. He did, occasionally, but since today was the festival he had made sure to bring it. Once they were on the platform, waiting for the train, he called the Honedge closer. He didn't want her running o- err, floating off. He was about to say something to Makani when the T.C.A.F member from spoke to them. He hadn't seen the man follow them, so he was a little surprised. "Well, uh, we were planning to enjoy the festival and find some street battles."

Makani flashed her passes as well before turning to her Pokémon. “You do know you can’t all fit in the train,” she said, laughing. Star and Shadow returned immediately, being the rather antisocial Pokémon they were, Wing taking a few more seconds. That left Pixie, whom she scooped up into her arms before heading into the station. She didn’t answer the T.C.A.F agent’s question, if only because... objective? What’s that? Just kidding, dude, it’s a festival. Fun is the objective! And if we happen to send a few Team Fear members packing, all the better!

Milo then turned to see Michael who came right behind him. "Our objective is looking for fun." Said Milo. "If you wish to tag along with us, be my guest." The conductor then looked at the three's boarding passes. "Ah, yes, you all have membership cards." Said the conductor. "Your train is arriving now." A white and blue striped train appeared out from the tunnels of underground and arrived at a complete stop. "Your train has arrived." Said the conductor. "If you four wish to enter the train, go ahead. Nothing can stop you. Be sure to be careful when you board the train." Milo boarded the train waiting for the three of them to follow him.

Previously Night's Shadow
Makani stroked Pixie’s soft fur as she boarded the train. The Sylveon wrapped a ribbon around her Trainer’s wrist as she sat on her lap. “So when does this thing leave?” she wondered aloud. “I’m excited~! Can’t wait, and neither can my team!” Pixie gave and affirmative yip, and Makani gave her an affectionate look.

"The train will start once all passengers are all on board." Said the conductor. "Please wait until all passengers are boarded. In the meantime, take a few minutes to chat with your friends." Milo then sent out Snivy to play with Pixie the Sylveon. "So, you're a fairy type pro?" Said Milo to Mankani. "My friend Ralph is a ghost type expert. He knows how because his family had ghost type Pokemon. It's their bloodline, as to what he says. Me, I'm more of an enforcer with memories that I would share with you guys."
