I couldn’t agree more on that last bit. So something satisfying for the both of us. Sine we got minato’s And Orochimaru’s pretty much planned out, any suggestion on Ay’s and kimi’s?

Well, we could talk about it in PMs so it is a surprise for the other RPers here. Unless you want to talk about it here in the open of course. I had an idea though it maybe Ay biased.

I agree on principle with that though he should try to get to Orochimaru first. Since that was his motive. Once he realizes that is futile then he can bail since it would be pointless to continue for him.

Hmmm.

Fights don't last that long. So the invasion shouldn't last that long either.

If someone shatters a wall with a water source on the other side then the caves will flood.

All the OCs get washed into an underground lake.

When we reach the surface we encounter the sound as they retreat.

Also, 8 Gate too OP pls nerf. After some more research, not even the fully matured Sharingan and Byakugan can keep up with the speed granted by the 8 Gates. Past about 3rd gate, the Byakugan and 3 Tomoe Sharingan aren't able to track an 8 Gates user. Even Madara with EMS couldn't track Guy. Should be noted that Guy vs Madara was Six Paths Madara, so normal Madara definitely wouldn't have been able to handle that kinda speed.

Eh, I take anything Swagkage says with a grin of salt. He tends to overhype certain characters and has an Uchiha bias. Something the latter is pointed out in this response video.


I agree with the 8 Gates being OP. Though Gaara defeated Rock Lee who used 5 of the Gates and using the 8th Gate leads to death since we do not have Naruto-Jesus to save us.

You should particularly note that his content was solid though, and his main point was that the Uchiha aren't actually god-like because of the clan, but that the story required them to be insanely powerful. He didn't overhype anything, he gave a pretty sound deduction of the importance of each Uchiha and the reason they were required to be powerful, and that the main Uchiha (The OP ones) are all essential to the story and hence their power.

Doesn't change the fact that the main reason they are so strong is because of their Sharingan abilities.

Swagkage's own comment in the response video I linked to.

I get the reason for why the Uchiha Clan get all their special power ups in the story. I just hate those justifications for making them so powerful compared to everyone outside of special exceptions. This Dojutsu really did kill my enjoyment of Shippen's later arcs. And honestly to compete with a mastered Sharingan user (We aren't gonna have wimps in this AU) all our characters are gonna have to get to stupid levels of power we saw in the War Arc. Since those abilities don't even have meaningful weakness; even losing an eye is a minor inconvenience given how easy it is to replace eyes in this series. They don't have even chakra cost to them. kyuu thinks they do (And they should) but we literally saw nobody not even Sasuke pre-God boost exhaust themselves using things like Susanoo, the Mangekyo abilities or Amaterasu with EMS+ and in fact they were spammed by anyone who used them. So you have to overpower them to beat them, no clever tactics or any way to exploit the non-existent weaknesses; even with a Gate user as OP as they are you could at least try to stall them out till they cripple their own bodies or die.

Kiro & Raiku could help sway me back to thinking the Dojutsu is cool and not an overpowered plot tumor. I have faith in them and they'd been pretty good so far. Hoping for the best!

No, that part is false. Sasuke exhausted himself just using the ribcage and challenging the 5 Kage, and by the time Itachi was skilled enough to use the Armored Susanoo he was basically blind. The EMS was meant to prevent that exact thing so it's like saying I've never seen anyone exhaust themselves while trying to start a fire with a lighter, the lighter was made for the purpose of lighting fires easier, so of course you wouldn't.

Okay, I can only really agree on this one for Obito, since I don't even remember how he got the EMS, and he should've gone blind from all the Kamui he was using. Note that Sasuke went blind pretty damn quickly, he didn't even get that many fights with the MS before losing his eyesight. But other than Obito everyone else with the MS had the EMS, the evolution created for the specific purpose of allowing you to spam MS abilities, or they were Zombies with infinite chakra.

The only reasons the characters were even able to get all these jutsu were sheer plot-armor, even the response video you said admitted to it. For one to get the EMS they'd first have to kill their best friend to get the MS, and then have also had a really close relative who also killed their best friend so they could take their eyes. The circumstances that allow you to get EMS...just aren't all that likely and if you're not a main character you'd probably never get it.

All in all the MS is OP, and only certian members of the Uchiha clan can even get in the first place. Unless you've got plot on your side driving the story in your favor (like what Nebby's doing for his character) the chance of an Uchiha getting the MS or the EMS is abysmal.

Problem is the only something that should be hard in theory is very easy to do in practice. Killing a best friend for the sake of power/need for power can be justified a number of ways by the Uchiha committing the act and is only a moral obstacle, not a physical one unless your best friend happens to be in the same tier as you.

And getting extra Uchiha eyes is gonna be be even easier. With our massacre in the future we'll have them in bountiful supply.

And my problem is only with the EMS and beyond. The MS and below is fair enough, with actual drawbacks and costs to using its OP techniques. Balanced, something the EMS is not and the EMS is gonna be a factor with our Uchiha OCs.

Though like I said I am optimistic about things. We'll see what happens and I'll trust Retro & Nebulix not to abuse this, though the fact is we are gonna have to answer OP power with OP power and this will resemble the over the top Kaiju fights of the War Arc. Which is the main thing that worries my overly paranoid self XD

If you're actually that casual you'd be able to murder your best friend at the drop of a hate then you actually wouldn't acquire the MS. You have to experience some real loss, so the moral part is trickier than it looks. If everyone could just murder their best friend casually then anyone could be your best friend and you'd get the MS from killing anyone, but since that isn't the case the emotional loss is rather important.

Kaiju fights...can be fun I guess? Don't think I'll be doing that, I've been putting more thought into applying the Byakugan. As someone had put it, The Sharingan is a weapon while the Byakugan is a tool, the latter actually requires skill to use while the former is just automatic. Gonna need to think through a few things, and I think I'll need to rewatch the Kaguya fight a few times.

To move this topic to something more progressive, who is gonna be part of the Chase Sound Arc and peruse the Sound 4? If we are doing that after the Invasion Arc like I think we are.

Orochimaru would be damaged from his fight with Minato and Kabuto would be providing a private escort for him. So I don't think they'd factor in to much. The arc is mainly about them getting Kiro or was it something else?

Getting Kiro, stopping the sound 4, and I imagine to kill the jinchurki befor they could provide the sound four the means to strike anywhere else

You do realize that those requirements aren’t necessary true and they only appeared because black zetsu faked them in the tablet as part of his plan(s) to revive kaguya... right?

(Did you even remember how Itachi got his MS lol)

Yea, he watched his best friend commit suicide. They're proven true for every MS user so far... except Madara and Izuna... but they don't give us that much backstory. Every other MS came about of great loss, Itachi watching his best friend suicide, Kakashi and Obito after they were forced to watch Rin die, Sasuke after he killed Itachi only to find out that Itachi's entire life was a lie... all great losses.

Feeling a sense of great loss in the ninja world is not that hard. There's any number of things that could trigger it and I don't see it as a big obstacle for an Uchiha to overcome to get it personally.

Though I am curious what Madara & Izuna did to get it.
