I'm not sure I like it. I like this background a lot better, but not sure I like the rest of the changes. There's too little distinction between posts not. I don't like how the buttons and likes are really jumping out now, and the spoiler tag is very distracting.

Also, Astral, lets get some Lin action going! Two fold ;)

There's a lot of white, so everything really blends together. If they added some more black outlines or something like that, it would create more distinction. In my opinion, I like what they've done with the profiles and the background. But I agree with you in terms of there isn't much to tell different posts apart. It just kinda blends together, too well.

Actually black lines would be bad, and create a claustrophobic feel. What they need are lightly colored planes to accentuate specific areas, or white planes with feint drop shadows. That would probably be best.

Oh boy...I love making myself laugh.

As I'm catching up, I thought how funny it would be to swap out two of the sound links in the RP. Like, what if Nova's static sound effect was swapped with the song in Loz's reply xD the thought of Starmie spontaneously playing James Taylor just tickles me.

Anyway, back to reading.

On a different note, here's an interesting video, albeit badly presented, on the interesting topic of why there are only 6 Pokémon. It's something I've been wondering about for a while and this video actually tells of similar reasoning I came up with for myself.

So while waiting for people to post I figured I'd try my hand at some digital coloring. Haven't actually done any real artsy work like this before, but how hard could it be right? So I asked PentheWonderful if I could have the line art for Cassie and got to coloring. :D

The result is not too shabby if I do say so myself, a good first try at least. Of course, PentheWonderful will have to be the final judge on that.

note: I didn't put any make-up on Cassie :p

Those were some good posts, Pen and Ny. I like that foreshadowing to something in graves...Speaking of, I should finish that post.

Great coloring work on Cassie, though. Love the shading. Not to say the original isn't good; It catches the style of Pokemon well (Which was intentional, I believe) but I like the pseudo-realism of your's shading.

Wow, that's actually quite a damn good first try, Ny. I really am quite amazed on how you shade; giving that much needed depth and dimension to the subject. Your play on darkness and light is very good, especially on the pokeball, it looks outstanding. The intensity in your shading is also a nice contrast to the more relaxed coloring I did. You've captured textures well, in addition.

My only critique would be to play with more shades of pinks and reds around the skin. She may not be wearing make up, but humans naturally have blood running under their skin, so a touch of reds or pinks would really make it come alive. I would recommed coloring in her lips, since the style you're going for is close to realism, and realistically without lipstick, our lips still would still have color. In addition, you could also probably try to detail the eyelashes a little more in that effect.

But otherwise, great job. ^^

You can do what you want really. If Lin chooses that exactly moment to jump in then that just means that June will go from blinking at Salem to blinking at Lin I think. Though I'd be curious to see how June would respond, I'm somewhat convinced that Burble is going to find a way for June to misinterpret things again :p

So do what you want I'd say.

Very much so actually, but I think should probably give Burble an opportunity to respond... I'll give him until the moment I figure out how to have Salem notice Lin.

Oh I would just like to say that I find it very interesting she just appears near him and then busies herself with her own stuff waiting to be noticed. Very interesting indeed.

Yeah I figured that. It's just a tactic that's gonna completely pass Salem by :p

How fun would it be if he just didn't notice Lin at all? Continued on with June, washing her and then proceed to escort her back to camp, not seeing Lin once :D
What would she think of that?
