Using her Byakugan, Shiho witnessed Kiro move to defend himself. "Lightning Chakra, better stay a bit further away from that and the Kunai he threw." Side stepping, Shiho let loose the jutsu she had prepared as they ran down the tree. "Water Release: Starch Syrup Capturing Field." Breathing outward and using the steam as cover, Shiho sent a wave of sticky water towards Kiro with the aim of trapping him before he can react further.

Thanks to the light from his own blue lightning, Kiro was able to somehow make out the incoming projectiles. He didn’t know what they were or the time to think about it, unfortunately. All he knew is that staying in the same position would be quite bad for him. Seeing at they were coming in all four directions, the only other free direction was up, which Kiro took in a heartbeat. Deactivating the lightning, Kiro jumped up and slightly backwards to avoid the incoming electrified projectiles, only for them all to be suddenly vaporized by some explosions. They were bigger than Kiro thought they would’ve been from the lone explosive tag he had placed himself. Maybe his attackers had sent some explosive tags his way as well.

Whatever the case, Kiro’s hands moved faster than any normal eye could see before he pulled his head back before performing the Fire Release: Fire Wave Jutsu. The spread of the fire gradually grew wider the further it went to cover a decent area. The main target of this attack was the one who he presumed had launched the first projectile at him. It wasn’t too difficult to guess their general location. However, he hoped to also catch their partner, who had launched the other three projectiles, in the same attack.

The pressure of the fire also pushed Kiro upwards as well, since he had aimed it downwards to hit his opponents. The tree they had been standing on should end up catching on fire as well, leaving them with only a certain area to escape too unless they chose to counter the attack. Of course, Kiro was quite prepared for that outcome as well as while his one hand held the jutsu up, his other was doing something else.

Shiho eyes Kiro as the Mist Shinobi took to the skies to avoid the multitude of attacks coming his way. "Of course, the only way we didn't cover." When Kiro followed that up by unleashed a massive wave of fire, Shiho was quick to counter. "Water Release: Water Bowl." Holding her arm out, Shiho began releasing a continuous jet of water from her palm towards the inferno, causing her wave of water to meet with the fire blast.

While holding back the flame, Shiho prepared something with her other arm. Thrusting her palm forward, Shiho let loose a concentrated blast of air through the flaming wave and towards its caster. "Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm."

Raiku predicted that Kiro would head upwards since there was nowhere else to go and sent several shuriken to attack him from the sides while Shiho countered the Fire Wave which Raiku copied as well as Shiho’s Water Bowl. The Uchiha also quickly weaved a few hand signs to throw some Pheonix Flower Jutsus to cover his shuriken.

Since Kiro had launched himself up and backwards while in a forest of giant trees, before boosting himself back a bit further with the launch of the fire wave, it was only logical that he’d land on a another tree. Before he could, however, even when he was aiming his fire wave downwards, Kiro could see glowing bright orange flames coming up to surround him. At the same time, something seemed to have connected with his fire wave, stopping its progression. Things were looking like they were about to turn really bad. With having only a split second to think, as soon as his feet connected with a tree trunk, Kiro made up his mind. Switfly, Kiro performed the body flicker technique and dashed straight forward. Which meant straight down the tree. Doing this allowed him to narrowly avoid some sort of attack that ended up damaging the tree behind him.

In any case, the boy wasn’t done when he reached the forest floor. With the fire balls still chasing him, Kiro began running forward while summoning some kunai with explosive tags on them. While he was on the run, specifically towards a certain person, Kiro mentally cursed the choice he was going to have to make. However, it was also his best bet to murder the two fuckers above. Looking at the girl with magenta eyes as he ran, Kiro quickly shouted his proposal.

“Hey! Roulan, or whatever your name is, I have an offer to make. My scroll for their heads. What do you say?!”

He was running as he said this before turning around and throwing one of the kunai at the flaming balls. Once the kunai was close enough, the explosive tag would be activated and explode, hopefully taking out the fireball. If not all of them, then he still had a another kunai in hand, plus the potential of the Hasa girl teaming up with him.

Raiku scoffed as the Mist ninja body flickered to the ground to escape the attacks and simply redirected the flaming shuriken to reach Kiro’s back while he was talking to Sagisō while at the same time throwing an explosive tag ball at Kiro’s feet.

Did he say he’d give up his scroll? “Roulan” could just get it and let him fight us for free. That’s what I would do, at least. Is Kiro really that dumb? Or maybe he’s just desperate.

Raiku decided that if they were teaming up he should take the advantage that they hadn’t seen him yet and body flicker away into the woods, tell Shiho a hurried “Follow me,” before doing so.

Sagisō

Aggravation. Disgust. Contempt. Sagisō had no good opinions of the boy who had apparently tried to kill her because he'd cooked up some delusion in his head before passing out. The virago briefly contemplating murdering the boy on the spot and saving herself what was, without doubt, a lifetime of trouble in future interactions. It would be far too easy and far too satisfying to snap his neck like a—'Mnn? smoke?' Sagisō was taken back by the sudden fog that had come over the battlefield.

She immediately raised her guard, wrapping herself in her curtain of hair and swiftly rolling to a more opportune position—the puddle which had been created from her destroyed water-clone. Her senses were primed for incoming danger, but it seemed she was not a target this time. She looked towards the origin of the combat, catching glimpses of fire and fury as the steam rippled with shockwaves.

Sagisō turned away, her injuries advising against getting involved. Instead, she cast a final glance at Bao and decided to spitefully helpfully kick him towards a safer position where he wouldn't get caught up in the aftershocks of the battle. What a good samaritan she was; in fact, so righteous was she, that her righteousness emanated from her like a beacon of hope to the desperate, beseeching them to implore her benevolent mercies. That must be it. Why else would these people keep taking her kind-hearted nature for granted?

The virago made no attempt to hide her displeasure, especially as Kiro led the fight over to her. She certainly wasn't going to stick her foot into this mess for one measly scroll.

"All of them," she offered cooly, without lifting a muscle to help. "If we get them, all the scrolls are mine. Yours included."

‘This girl is greedy as hell!’

To be fair, Kiro couldn’t blame her. She was just taking advantage of the desperate situation he was currently in. He seriously hated the fact that he had to resort to this, but his motivation to kill those two attackers far outweighed anything else at the moment. Still looking forward towards the explosion, Kiro gave her his answer.

“Alright, fine! But they better be dead or close to it after we’re with them. You got that?”

Sagisō

"No bargaining," the virago was firm in her stance. So much so that after her declaration she turned away from Kiro and back to her wounds. By now the hair she'd used to form a makeshift bandage was slick with blood. As she unwove the threads, the gleaming metals of two kunai knives were revealed: one whole and one severed at its base.

Sagisō grit her teeth, expression distorting with pain as she pried the metallic blades from her body. She then covered both wounds with a sticky globule—a liquid bandage. Its adhesive properties kept it firm to her skin while its thick viscosity held its shape as it seeped into the wound, acting as a coagulant and preventing blood from leaking from her severed flesh. Staunching the bleeding was only the first task; next, Sagisō hair rose once in fine strands. With motions she'd practiced a hundred times before, she had in a matter of moments sewn her wounds shut. Finally, she stripped off her fur cloak and turned it into a temporary cast in which she laid her arm.

Scars—once covered by her furs, hinted at the girl's familiarity with this procedure. She was silent throughout—discounting the strangled gasps and ragged heaves like that of a woman in labor; her brow had knotted with pain and dampened with fatigue. Once she had given her first-aid a satisfying once-over—exerting her arms to ensure no vital tendons or ligaments had been severed—she nodded to herself. It was no medical ninjutsu, but it was the next best thing...Karui would surely be upset.

Karui jumped up from her seated position, antennae twitching rapidly. She had been keeping tabs on the fight herself as she and Asahi remained where they were, and now two more unfamiliar chakras were entering the scene. The scent of blood was strong from that direction—not all of it Sagiso’s but there was some of her scent in the mix. She couldn’t tell exactly what was going on, as she couldn’t see it, but the smell/taste sense from the antennae was coppery with blood, sweat, and determination, chakra spiking left and right as jutsu were released.

The girl bit down hard enough that she would have drawn blood from her lip if she didn’t have a hard candy in her mouth, her small choice from Asahi’s stash. The candy splintered and fell apart, sweetness turning bitter on its way down her throat as the smell-taste of increased battle permeated her mind.

“I cannot tell what is happening over there,” Karu said to Asahi, a slight edge the only betrayal of her nerves in her otherwise calm voice. “Can you see it? Does Roulan require our assistance?”

As the fire dispersed, Shiho was able to catch a glimpse of Kiro Body Flickering away from her attack. "Dang, that would have been such a good hit too." Before she could reflect more, the girl noticed the Kunai with a bomb tag attached flying her way. "Uh oh." Moving quickly, Shiho ran to the bottom of the tree branch she was on before jumping to the trunk, letting her former foothold take the explosion for her. Shiho would then notice Raiku calling her to follow, so that's exactly what she did. The young Hyuga kicked off from the trunk she was standing on towards the woods following her teammate.

BAM!

"Agh!"
The older leaf Genin crashed into the tree as he had been launched in the air from Azumi's blow, he slid down with a groan. His body seemed bruized and traces of blood seemed to stain parts of his uniform as Azumi glanced at her downed opponent. She walked past his discarded blades as the area by the river seemed to be filled with signs of battle; indents and light holes along the bank, one tree which seemed to be sliced and had collapsed to its side, a few scattered kunai and shiruken.

Yet in spite of the visible damage, and the scenes of carnage around the area, Azumi herself seemed unscathed.

"H-how..." The Leaf Genin cursed, though seemed too weak to protest an additional kick to the chest as he coughed out and had began to pant heavily. Azumi of course reached for his pouch and sure enough she pulled a scroll from it...an Earth Scroll no less.

"Seems this encounter bore fruit after all. I would advise you rest, if you have any aspirations of claiming any scroll in this exam..." Azumi mused as she tucked the scroll in her pouch and had began to walk away as the Leaf nin grit his teeth as visible frustration surfaced boiling over into fury.

"How dare you nothing little....!"

Crack!
Azumi had turned her back to the man and prepared to walk off, but with a push of adrenaline he had found the strength to stand and charged grasping one of his blades as he tried to launch a strike from behind. Tried, being the operative word as Azumi managed to jump over the swing and landed behind him, and before he had a chance to turn to respond Azumi quickly pulled her umbrella and landed a clean strike to the side of his neck as a sickening crack sounded and he had flown off a good foot or two and flopped down on his side motionless. Azumi glanced at her immobile foe and sighed.

"Fool."

With that, Azumi jumped to the nearest tree branch, and had began her long trip to the Tower.

Kenji and his companions landed just on the outer reach of what seemed to be a battle ahead of them, a battle that, if Kenji's nose was to be trusted, concerned Bao as both Lightning and Thundra landed beside him; they seemed to work to conceal themselves at the top of a tree as they wanted to get a distant view of the action. Bao was his teammate, but these exams had been intended to be individual and if they jumped in recklessly without a plan it may only annoy him or put them in a disadvantageous situation.

Besides, this was entertaining even if Kenji had only gotten a mid-portion sequence of it, why not give it a view from afar?

Lightning sniffed the air, much like Thundra they seemed to pick up several scents many of them ones they had not met before, and Kenji seemed to understand this area was not quite isolated to just the ones fighting ahead of them, so aimed to keep their guard up in case one of the other hidden parities decided to make a move.

Hum, seems you got some early action, how interesting~

Tomiklone was of course limited in what she could do, given that she had but a fraction of chakra to work with and one blow threatened to turn her to a pile of mud but when the Grass Ninja formed their pincer offensive she knew she needed to provide some cover for Keito and quickly dashed to intercept Eugo before he could strike him. Tomiklone worked to strike his side from behind as it properly entered the fry and Eugo had already been in a mid-strike position and thus unable to adjust as the clone came to his blindspot.

"Agh!" Eugo cursed, as the clone landed with a gauntlet-strike to his side as he was slammed on the ground with a blow. So there was another in the midst? Eugo rolled to his feet as he cursed and Tomiklone worked to put itself between him and Keito which left the ally to deal with Ashima without fear of being double teamed. Though Tomiklone glanced at the down team member, and seemed to form an idea as she'd dash to them which caused Eugo's eyes to widen.

"Oh no you don't!" Eugo cursed and charged to intercept which helped moved him further away from Ashima.

Ugokasenai Keito, Iwa Genin
Preparing a defense for the berserker Eugo, Keito's plan was thrown for a loop when the clone Tomiko moved in between he and the attacking Grass shinobi, engaging with the larger Eugo instead.

He'd hardly turned to face the other attacker when her grass senbon whistled their way down upon him; though Keito moved his sakabatou to intercept and deflect some of the projectiles, there were simply too many for him to avoid. The grass needles snuck into the flesh of his left thigh and shin, as well as his right shoulder and lower abdomen. Keito noted that, while they hadn't hit vital spots, the wounds would compound and he wouldn't be quite so lucky forever.

As the barrage continued, the genin tucked his body into a roll to the right, grass senbon sinking into the earth just behind him. But even as he did - rising to his feet once more out of the roll - the grass he'd been stepping over rose up and sharpened, fresh, new senbon for him to contend with. Keito tried to get a look at Ashima; she seemed to be exerting herself in the barrage, but didn't seem to be exhausted or anything like that.

Though he was trying to influence the fight back toward Mori and the original Tomiko, he still had quite a ways to go. And he needed to be on the ropes enough for his Grass shinobi ambushers to give chase with a wanton recklessness.

"When everyone at the Academy told me to touch grass, I didn't think this is what they had in mind." He grumbled, half to himself.

Then the needles of grass stormed down on him again, to a similar result, dozens of them at the least. Even the needles Keito did fend off had force enough to push him back, set him off balance just so. A needle grazed his cheek, another embedding itself into his left hand just above the ring finger's lowest knuckle, a third and fourth grazing his neck and sinking into his left shoulder just a little deeper than the rest.

Both he and Ashima took a moment to gather themselves -- he, injured but still trying to preserve his energy; her, healthy but expending her chakra at a pretty fast rate.

"Not so good when you can't get the drop on somebody, huh?" The orange-haired Grass ninja taunted Keito.

"You set up the ambush, remember?" He shot back, taking a deep breath the moment he replied.

"And you walked right into it." Ashima said.

"...Kinda?"

"Shut up." His opponent ended their verbal spat with a growl, both using the time and the reasonable distance between them to form hand signs.

Mori smiled as she thanked him, he seemed oblivious to the second part of what she said however. Mori was always the impulsive one, the one that jumped ahead striking first and coming up with a plan in combat, he had always known Yua from his time at the academy. It's not that he didn't like her, but he always saw himself above her. To him she didn't really seem reliable on her own, she seemed like a kid who needed supervision. Mori had never once forgotten any one of her slip ups. This isn't to say, for him, working with her would be any harder; if anything it should be easy. Right? "I'd rather we didn't go camping, we need to hunt down the other chunin. That seems like the best sort of plan, my magnet release mixed with your poison release should be really useful. We need to get scrolls, not just be camping. Then again, it's up to you. If you want to go camp, go camp and I'll come back with scrolls for you later. But I'd rather not, y'know, hide", he smiled. This idea was stupid, it really was. What if he made the other villages know they were a threat? Well this is as he was told, he had to make sure the other villages knew the strength of the sand. Well as his parents had put it so bluntly to him. Mori bowed down low before he jumped into the tree tops, he bounced from one tree to another. It was up to Yua to follow him or not, she had his iron sand to help her keep her scroll but Mori was starting to leave. He was planning to go hunting, hunting for some shinobi.

"Hey you are the one who came to me, so if we are gonna team up going off on your own isn't the best way to handle it." Yua mused, in spite of how she seemed to think Mori was judging her she had to guess he saw benefit to working with her if he went to this trouble in spite of his little snide critiques here or there. Mori was far too prideful to openly admit to a desire to team up or even wanting to work with one to cover their own shortcomings, so Yua simply picked up the subtle implication and when he began to move to the nearest tree top Yua quickly followed as she had her staff in a relaxed but battle ready position if need be. Besides, no way was she gonna miss a chance to scout possible foes even if she felt he at times tended to act before he thought the situation over. She only hoped they could least approach this with a plan of sorts though right now they needed to first find someone as much as anything else.

Yua glanced over Mori's way as she seemed to have a question on her mind. "So when and if we find someone, what do you want to do? Scout them for a bit to see if they have the right scroll? Set a trap and lure them there or...?" Yua asked, leaving part of it open ended so Mori could add a suggestion to this discussion if he had chosen to do so.

Asahi tried to keep herself from entering the battle while her sister kept on fighting. However they had agreed on a certain signal in case they needed help and so far, Sagiso had not given her one.

"She seems to be doing good, but after they attempted to ambush her..." She leaned back and turned towards her sister, "they could easily try it again, they aren't too far from here. I say we go over there, let them know our sister isn't alone and you can check Riceball's wounds."

Asahi put away the candy after popping a purple one into her mouth. She pointed the direction they needed to go and began moving that way. She moved swiftly from tree to tree, while she kept her Byakugan on to avoid any surprise attacks and of most importantly, keep her eyes on her sisters.

Once they arrived on the scene, Asahi quickly made her way to Sagiso, let out a low whistle while looking at the condition she was in. "We're gonna have to wash your hair after this." Asahi grinned as she took out her small bag with candy and offered Riceball one.

She then turned towards Kiro, tilting her head a bit to the side before taking out a purple piece of candy and tossing it over to him. "Let me know if you need me to check for poison!" She called out before turning back to Sagiso. "Do we have to kill him? I would feel bad after he gave me his jacket, it makes a great mask."

Karui followed Asahi closely, leaping catlike through the branches in the direction the other girl’s Byakugan led. Her antennae began to vibrate more rapidly as they approached the scene, and Karu shook her head to put them away. They were close, she didn’t need her antennae to sense that.

The girl dropped down from the branch as they made it to the clearing. She rubbed her temples in exasperation when she saw the sorry state Sagiso was in and the far-less-than-optimal first aid she’d administered on herself. Not to mention the boy unconscious in the moss, bleeding from several places and arm at several angles it shouldn’t be, and the germaphobic jackass that Asahi had stuck her lollipop to back at the village. Still, she was relieved her sister was okay.

“You seem to have gotten yourself into quite the… situation,” Karu directed at Sagiso, rather annoyed. “Give me your arm. Idiot,” she added, not unkindly but making sure her irritated concern came across. Her hands shimmered gold again as chakra cloaked them and she moved them over Sagiso’s wounds, manipulating it delicately to slowly remove the makeshift stitches as the flesh closed. “I’ll heal the others if you want me to, though leaving them to fend for themselves is my preference. Killing them outright would be a waste, but if they die on their own, it is only due to their own weakness.”

“Those cowards!”

Kiro clenched his fist in annoyance at the attempt the two attackers made to flee. They wanted to double team him, but when he decided to even the playing field, they ran away. It was actually pathetic. He wanted to storm off and chase them down, but knew that wouldn’t be a wise decision. There was a chance they could just be going back to get reinforcements for all he knew. In that case, Kiro would have to be prepared for that or any other potential vultures. Speaking of which, Kiro stood on guard as he picked up on some movement coming from nearby.

“Now what? Oh.”

The two new arrivals were actually just the remaining Hasa girls. It appeared they had come to check up on their comrade. As Kiro predicted, they did have a medical ninja as the girl with the antenna went straight to Roulan to heal her. Meanwhile, Smiley had ended up greeting him even though she was still concerned about her sister’s condition. To his surprise, the girl was actually still wearing his burned up jacket as some type of strange mask. Kiro couldn’t begin to imagine what her thought process was, but it was kind of amusing. Her greeting also came alongside some candy being tossed his way, which Kiro casually caught. Fortunately, it didn’t seem to have been contaminated yet.

“Damnit. I guess it can’t be too bad.”

Reluctantly, Kiro removed the wrapper from the purple candy before starting to chew on it. The candy tasted like any other piece of candy, which meant he hadn’t been poisoned. If she ever offered candy again, now Kiro didn’t really have any reason to deny unless it was already infected. Although he wanted to enjoy the sweet flavor of the candy, there wasn’t much time to waste. Kiro glanced over to the unconscious Bao before looking back to Roulan.

“Hey, so after you get healed, do you still wanna keep the deal we have and chase after them? If we are, I suggest healing Bao so at least he isn’t left for dead. Then maybe he can come with us too if he’s feeling well enough.”

Looking at the mangled arm of Bao, he didn’t know if the boy would be ready to fight so soon. Well, some healing was better than none Kiro supposed. Plus, he still wanted to know what really caused the boy to target him. Perhaps if Bao saw in a more calm manner, he’d be more willing to explain. Besides that, if the girls denied his offer, Kiro would just wait for an opportune time to go kill the two cowards himself.

Sagisō

"I didn't start it..." she whined, a petulant pout on her lips. Appropriately admonished and shamefaced, Sagisō quietly stared at the ground and allowed Karui to do her work while she poked ripples into the sticky puddle of water they had stumbled into—courtesy of her clone. She lowered the adhesiveness of the puddle to prevent any further embarrassing situations. As she felt her wounds close up, she cast her gaze over to the unconscious Bao.

"We'll take him with us, I think he could come in...", her eyes lingered on his mangled arm, "...handy."

"Heal him a bit, but take his scroll first."

When all that was done, she finally addressed Kiro with a nod.

"We're giving chase."

With a flick of her wrist, Sagisō send four water shuriken sailing in the direction Raiku and Shiho had fled. They flew in a straight line, exploding sequentially to create a line of water trampolines: webs of water made so viscous they were like jelly, allowing them to repel certain physical attacks or, in this case, be used as bounce-pads to enhance speed and mobility.

"Let's go."

Tsuki
A small, satisfied grin appeared on the Yuki-nin's face as she witnessed Furījia mimic the exact actions she had foreseen. Although the Hyūga had managed a workaround, Tsuki wasn't compromised in any way. There was a slight tug at the beginning, but simply closing her mouth and regaining her balance, she remained steady on her branch. Unfortunately, her one advantage had dissipated, they were now on even ground.

Now that we've reached a state of neutrality in our exchange, I have to leverage an advantage for myself.

Without hesitation, Tsuki threw an explosive tag at the trunk of Furījia's tree, set to detonate on contact. She anticipated that the Hyūga wouldn't take that lying down, but she was unsure how the girl would retaliate. In that spirit, she decided to observe how Furījia would deal with this scenario.

I wonder how creative she'll get...

To the fiery shinobi's surprise, no one had walked into his trap as of yet. He could continue to wait, but boredom was starting to gain a foothold within his mind. After a well-fought battle between short term gratification and long term success, the former got the best of him, causing Taiyo to abandon the trap that he had set. Fortunately, the only thing he had lost was time and a bit of kitchen grease, the former was in abundance and the latter could be easily replaced. As if the universe was attempting to reward him, Taiyo bore witness to Raiku and Shiho making a tactical retreat. He raised his eyebrow in curiosity until he peered over and noticed the group of shinobi that were prepping an assault on his comrades. Taking notice of the webs, the fiery shinobi decided that he would warn the two of the upcoming assault. He scaled a nearby tree and ran towards the fleeing pair of Konoha-nin, hoping he was in range to notify them.

"Hey, I just thought you should know that those guys you pissed off are coming back for more."

Karui finished up healing Saigso’s wounds, then, at her words, turned her attention towards the boy on the ground. He was in a pretty bad state, to put it lightly, and upon closer inspection Karu noticed telltale signs of Sagiso’s hair attack on his arm. It was likely he was the one who had wounded her sister so badly if she had to resort to an attack she usually kept under wraps. It made her want to heal him even less, but she could see Sagiso’s point. She searched the boy for a scroll and removed it from his person, putting it in a separate pouch from her own scroll. With that out of the way, she rolled him onto his back, careful not to damage his arm further, and formed a few hand signs in quick succession.

“Lightning Style: Stimulus,” Karu muttered under her breath as she finished the final hand sign and placed it firmly on Bao’s chest. A similar technique to cell activation, the Stimulus jutsu used lightning chakra to stimulate the patient’s own healing synapses and chakra flow to repair their own body. It used more chakra than just simple healing jutsu, but was much quicker, and time was of the essence if they were to catch the others. It would have taken her hours to heal that arm, and she focused most of her Stimulus jutsu into that area, leaving his milder bruises and abrasions. Karui cut the jutsu short after about a minute, leaving him mostly healed, but not exactly in fighting condition. If he happened to wake up, all the better; that meant she wouldn’t have to carry him.

Hisato sat there contempt with his fish lunch. He laid there pulling his shirt up and rubbing his belly in contempt. "So fullll!" Hisato said cheerfully. Hisato would lay there for a good twenty minutes before getting up and deciding to do something. Hisato was bored out of his mind and would need to arrive at his campsite soon. His campsite was just a five minute walk away from the fire he built.

Hisato headed towards his campsite when he took a detour. In his detour to camp he heard explosions. "Booooom! Booooooooom!" Hisato went imitating the explosion sounds. Hisato cheerfully headed towards the fighting when he saw two ladies fighting. "Ladies! Ladies. How's it going? Mind if I join the fight, Tsuki?" Hisato asked cheerfully looking over at his fellow mist shinobi. Hisato said as he stood atop a large tree branch looking down at the two.

Mori skipped through the trees. He had a slight idea. He was looking for someone else, someone to chaise down. As he went along he paused as he looked at Sagiso; he was above her in a tree, sure, but that didn't mean that he was completely safe. What was that?, he wondered as she threw her water shuriken. She was with a couple other shinobi, it probably wasn't the best time to go hunt now. Doing that would only lead to failure. Mori stayed in the trees, before he looked to Yua. "Try to follow me... it's gonna be a bit hard though", he said through his teeth. This idea was a bad one. What if he could sabotage them? He planted his staff down into the tree before he launched himself into the sky. In the air he held onto his staff before he weaved a few hand seals. There was a strong push on the back of his staff as it sent him and his staff flying. He was riding it like a skateboard broom hybrid, weaving through the trees as he kept his eyes down to see if he could spot anything or anyone. He followed the direction of Sasigo's webs. He only stopped when he noticed a trio of boys, three all together. He landed infront of them, like the fucking badass he was he stood tall and proud at 5'2. Not so much intimidating but he was there. Now why on earth would he stop here? Well Mori noticed the hidden leaf headbands, they were friends with Suna right? This could be good, he could take advantage of their village's relationship. Maybe gain a few allies. Mori hopes Yua was ready in the tree as he kicked his staff back into his hand. "So you guys are ninjas of the hidden leaf", he said, as he looked at them. Were these guys were fighting those girls back there? Mori had taken in what Taiyo had said, ah that made so much sense now. "You guys are getting chased by those girls?", he asked, as he began to laugh. 3 dudes being chased by a couple girls, this was something that would've happened on a playground. "Those girls have a guy's scroll from back there and they're planning to come here, may I help even the odds?", he asked. It's not that Mori didn't consider the odds, if these guys felt like turning on him he was basically dead meat but seeing them run made him wonder if they were all that strong. "They have what I think is a healer... if not a healer then a really touchy nin who likes to touch the opponent's chest...", he said as he began to trail off his thought.

"Sure sounds good..." Yua mused though it seemed Mori only spoke to her out of some obligation as he began to speed ahead and Yua worked to keep pace with him which proved to be easy enough. Least until he had shot in the air and began to fly away from her which caused her eyes to widen. Is Mori some idiot!? Yua cursed internally as she pulled out what seemed to be wire and a kunai as since she lacked the ability to propel herself at will, she would have to adapt to this as she pulled her best tarzan impression. In that she used her wire and kunai like a rope to swing across; she used this a couple times to cover distance before her body flickered which caused her to vanish in a puff of smoke and cover the rest of the distance to appear by Mori. Seemed that Mori had arrived in front of a group of 3, Leaf Ninja going by the headbands which had been a conflicted feeling. On one hand, they were ninja of allied nations so if there was anyone to possibly trust, it was them but on the other hand this was an exam and every ninja for him or herself so trusting anyone absolutely was a touch foolish. So she'd keep a cautious but more subtle guard. When Mori made his comment on "being chased by girls" Yua of course elbowed him "lightly" on the side as a reminder she had been here as well as she sighed. Mori could be a lot to handle sometimes, but when Mori extended a hand to help that got her interest as she glanced at the trio. "Is your situation that desperate?" Yua asked, more to be caught up to things as she processed the details much as Mori likely already had before him.

Asahi looked at Riceball with a confused looked as she seemed to have made some sort of arrangement with the guy who hated lollipops. She then turned towards Kiro, analyzed him by looking him up and down and then giggled.

She shrugged as she turned to Sagiso, "You have a weird taste for mating partners sis." Asahi looked back at Kiro over her shoulder, "We were told that we needed to get strong warriors, but that dude is afraid of lollipops..."

The confused girl sighed and turned towards the direction of their new objectives. "Alright the two spying on us just left towards the others. I guess we're looking at a pretty even match if Lollipops over there..." She signaled towards Kiro, "is going to help us. "They are five and we are four, I think that's pretty fair for them."

Asahi grinned with her eyes set on the group ahead, before springing into action. She used the water bouncing things to gain speed before rushing through the forest. She took her round chakrams from her side and took one on each hand, going from branch to branch using the boosted speed until she arrived on the scene, standing behind the group and standing proudly on a tree branch.

"Cowards like you are considered trash where I come from, is running away a normal thing here?"

Having followed Raiku away from their initial target, Shiho decided it was time to ask what he was up to. "So uh Raiku, why did we run away?" However, before she could get an anwser, another voice appeared telling them about their apparent pursuers. "Oh uh, hi there." Shiho wasn't sure who this was but noticing his Leaf headband she knew he wasn't hostile. Soon after, some more people showed up. They bore the markings of the Sand and judging from their mannerism, they didn't mean any harm to the Leaf group.. "Oh wow there's a lot of people gathered here now."

Before another word could be exchanged, a new voice appeared behind them. Turning around, Shiho saw amongst the group confronting them the Mist Shinobi they had gone after before. "Ah so these must be his allies." She rationalized. She then pondered on words of the girl who shouted at them. "Cowardly? I think my brother told me something about retreating in a fight." Shiho searched her memory and remembered the advice given to her by her brother.
"If a situation gets too dangerous or unfavorable, there is no shame in retreating in order to remove that negative variable of the situation in question. Retreating will always be a sound strategy."
"Hmm, I don't think there's any shame to it. After all, it could be used to remove any negative variables." Shiho replied with an air of innocence.

So far it's been a really uneventful trip, and Sable was enjoying every minute. Well, he still lacked two scrolls, but he still had a few more days to figure out that front.
He had been walking for a while, though his speed resulted in him lagging behind most of his peers. Sable thought as he strode, considering the pros and cons of joining a team. On one hand, the work is divided between everyone, meaning less effort. Then again, more people means more scrolls needed to pass, which could mean more work. It'll be even harder if someone backstabs the group.
He was soo deep in thought that Sable nearly missed the group of fellow Sand and one Leaf ninja nearby, only snapping into reality upon hearing their voices.
Well speak of the devil.
From what he overheard, the Sand ninja were already in a team and apparently conversing with the lone Leaf ninja, who was being hunted. Logically, they would want a larger group as a better defense, and their nations were on relatively good terms, so betrayal wasn't too big of a worry. Besides, bigger group, smaller work divisions...
Sable finally decided. He languidly trudged towards the group, barely making a sound despite making no effort to hide until he got close enough.
"Hello" he greeted simply.
And that was all the energy he had left as he leaned on a tree, checking for the reactions.

Raiku quietly watched as everyone arrived on the scene, both allies and enemies included. He quickly analyzed the situation before saying anything using the knowledge that he had been told and he could physically see. He took note of Taiyo arriving, possibly to help them, who he nodded to in acknowledgement. Two Suna nin then arrived as well, before being followed by a third who greeted them with a simple 'Hello.' He turned to face the entire group and grinned before clapping his hands.

"Well, well, well... it seems fortune has smiled upon me today. All of you from the Sand, I greatly would appreciate if you decided to assist me. As for "Smiley," I have to say it's a shame you decided to attack me. I didn't do anything to your teammate after all, but it seems she decided to make an arrangement with Kiro to get all of our scrolls. I assume that includes you guys from the Sand as well, now that you're here. Well anyways, I guess the fight should commence... right about now," Raiku concluded before starting to weave hand seals.

Yua of course picked up sounds of something moving through the trees, though her eyes shifted to a rather bold declaration as it seemed a kunoichi greeted the group on the branch; armed with a pair of chakrams who seemed to present an unofficial challenge to the party as Yua naturally gripped her poisoned-staff and stepped back as she gazed up at the kunoichi who quickly called them "cowards." "Well technically I actually ran to here so I can only guess you mean the Leaf ninja."

Yua gave her quip of the day, though while she kept central focus on the girl with the chakrams she made a point to pay attention to her surroundings as she presumed this one wouldn't challenge what seemed to be a meeting of five possible enemies on her own unless she had some backup that had yet to appear. When one of the Leaf asked for assistance, well, it seemed a fight was all but inevitable as she simply kept close to Mori but stood at the ready. "Well given the circumstance, not like there is much choice." Yua mused, but was ready to fight if it came to it all the same.

Deep within the forest of death, many fierce battles erupted out amongst a few of the more determined competitors.
The distance sounds of crashing and metal indicated that some of the conflicts were likely close by.
But amongst all the chaos, one Suna Genin took the opportunity to enjoy the forest scenery.

Niko Horoki could be found kicking back, swaying in the breeze, staring up at the sky, hammock style. The only thing that seemed to be missing… was the hammock itself.
Instead, Niko was suspended by an additional set of arms, one extending from the back of his neck, and the other from the sole of his right foot.
Both arms were outstretched, tightly gripping onto tree branches to maintain the Suna boys suspended state.
He himself had his legs crossed, with his free leg resting on top of his armed-leg. His arms were crossed behind his head, essentially resting on the bicep of his armed-neck.

In all honesty, Niko wasn’t much of a tactician. He didn’t really know what he was doing out here.
One thing he did know? If someone came across a sight like this, they might just reconsider that whole ‘fighting him’ thing.

Taiyo
As if he were speaking it into existence, the aforementioned pursuers finally caught up to Raiku and Shiho. While this was unfortunate for the Leaf shinobi, a group of Sand shinobi arrived to aid them, embodying the alliance that the nations shared on the battlefield. Also on the battlefield, Smiley decided to cut through the silence with an insult deeming his friends cowards for their tactical retreat. Taiyo was going to explain why retreating can be beneficial, but Shiho had beaten him to the punch in her own way.

If what she says about her people is true, then I can only imagine the mountain of corpses that was formed from those who didn't know when to quit.

Ignoring his own morbid thoughts, he turned to the first sand ninja to arrive, bringing vital information along with him about the enemy team.

"Any help is appreciated, even informational. Hell, the only reason I'm here is cuz I got bored and felt like helping out Raiku," Once he addressed the helpful Suna-nin, he turned his attention to the enemies before him. His gaze focused and he took up an orthodox stance: his hands guarding his chin, his left foot up front balanced by the rear foot at a 45 degree angle and his left shoulder facing his opponents.

"Now...can you point me in the direction of this healer you saw..?"

Tsuki
The icy kunoichi was completely focused on the Hyūga's response to the situation that she was put in, but that focus was momentarily broken when a bellowing voice asked for permission in joining the fight. Upon further inspection, Tsuki realized that this voice was a fellow Mist shinobi, specifically the airheaded Hisato Gato.

I suppose one doesn't need to leverage an advantage when an advantage walks into one's open arms.

"By all means, though I advise that you avoid tripping over yourself," She kept a small smile when addressing her ally, remembering that people generally respond best when their disposition is matched. Even though she snuck in a light jab, Tsuki's covered chuckles were intended to communicate that she didn't intend to convey any vitriol towards Hisato. Truthfully, she doubted the quality of the assistance that she would be receiving from the Mist shinobi, who had previously displayed a notable lack of awareness and regard for his surroundings, weaknesses that could be extremely detrimental if not outright fatal in combat. However, the Yuki-nin wanted to give him a chance, not only because of his kind and cheery demeanor, but also due to the unlikely yet possible prospect that she had misjudged him.

A two-on-one has the potential to be an even better environment to explore this girl's creative thinking.

"Seems Bao is in an unfortunate placement..." Kenji mused, observing from afar as it seemed Bao was down from what had been quite the exchange, and both Lightning and Thunder observed by their partner in silent anticipation over what action to take. And for Kenji it was a simple one, while Bao seemed like a nice guy and was the life of the party at the Academy it had not been his place to step in. Too many scents, too much room for chaos that could only make the situation worse.

Besides, it was but day 1, any setback he had could be recovered easily enough.

The trio seemed to catch a scent of an unknown ninja, but one away from this growing cluster and with that made a silent signal as he and his ninken departed with a woosh as their own work had only just began.

While Keito and Ashima had been locked into a more even bout with one another, Tomiclone had been in a frantic struggle for survival against Eugo as the latter jumped over the downed teammate and Eugo just managed to avoid landing a clean shot on the chest. One wrong move and pop would the clone go, and right now Keito needed it to hold out long as it could while he tangled with Ashima. The clone had no way to beat Eugo so its only hope was to bait him away from the Grass camp and by the real Tomiko and Mori so they could ambush him.

So as Eugo prepared his own hand signs, the clone let slip what seemed to be a slip of paper that seemed to be a flashbang much as the one it used earlier as Eugo quickly moved to cover his gaze. "You think I'd fall for this trick twice!?" Eugo muttered as he tossed a pair of kunai as he covered his eyes...only for no burst to come.

Tomiclone had used a dead slip to freeze Eugo for a moment as she flipped over the downed member as from Eugo's perspective it seemed she was attempting to run after she had deflected the wild kunai with the gauntlets. Eugo considered his options, but decided that he needed to catch that one and trusted Ashima to deal with the other Iwa guy as the risk of her getting aid and making this a 3-2 was one he had not been prepared to make and thus moved to chase before she could leave line of sight.

Furījia

'Booo~'

Her opponent was playing cautiously and staying at a distance. As the water rope was snipped, Furījia fell to the floor. Her byakugan allowed her to keep tabs on her foe and her follow-up attacks; but, since her opponent didn't want to play her game, Furījia saw no point in keeping up her act. Especially as she noted another Mist shinobi nearing the scene.

With a flick of her wrist, she sent a rock to intercept the bomb-tagged kunai—deflecting it; then, she agitated her chakra using the gentle fist to rupture the globule of water around her legs.

"Two on one huh," she muttered aloud, reaching into her sash to withdraw her chain-spear, which was coiled around her waist. "I guess I'll have to be more serious."

Karui, having followed Asahi — leaving Bao be in the moss — stopped in a catlike stance on a thick tree branch, and straightened against the trunk. “That would be me,” she said, voice practically dripping acid as she addressed the boy who had given a declaration of boredom as his reason for being present.

“If your only reason for being here is to kill time, you are free to leave. I am here to push my limits and do something worthwhile. I will only bother myself with you if you make it necessary, but I will require your scroll in return for my trouble.” With her intentions made clear, Karui placed her hands in a ready position to weave any hand sign necessary in defense. Wait for the opponent to show their hand, use their techniques… then, and only then, strike back with three times the fighting power. “Smiley. We shall fight, and succeed.” She gave a half-smile, golden eyes ablaze, followed by a silent nod. No other words were necessary.

Ugokasenai Keito, Iwa Genin
"Earth Release: Green Needle Dance!"

"Earth Release: Rock Shelter!"

The two shinobi clasped their hands into the Snake seal and slammed their hands on the ground in unison; Ashima's grass senbon twirled, whistling through the air for a third time now. This time, however, Keito managed to respond with his own jutsu -- pulling earth up from the ground into a dome just wide enough to cover him and give him minimum breathing space. He could feel the natural needles thunking against his protective shell, snapping from the force of the collision.

Through the pause, Keito listened, taking in the sounds of Tomiklone as she struggled against the large, raging Grass genin; at least she seemed to be steering him in the right direction, toward their own, reverse ambush. He let the dome fall, watching his opponent take notice; instead of preparing her jutsu, however, she flung shuriken at him, charging in with a surprising speed after her projectiles.

Pulling his sakabatou back from its sheath with its satisfying chhk, Keito deflected the shuriken and jumped back, again in the direction of Mori and the real Tomiko. As he'd expected, Ashima attempted the same thing, charging in closer behind a flurry of shuriken; again, the genin of the Stone deflected her throwing knives and took a leap back.

"Damn!" She said to herself, looking back just long enough to keep an eye on Eugo, who was, himself, being led in a similar direction by Tomiklone; yet she still seemed distracted enough by the relative distance.

When Ashima came back to earth, she saw Keito had sent some kunai of his own in a probing counter -- although she had enough time to roll aside, it did catch her attention once again.

'Why you-' Ashima growled, running in in a calculated charge, weaving hand signs again. Keito thanked whatever god might be listening that this one was easily provoked. 'Earth Release: Grass Chains!'

This time, the grass around Keito's feet rose suddenly, wrapping themselves around his legs in curling spirals; even as he slashed them away with his sakabatou, more seemed to grow, grabbing at his waist and his arms or even neck. Before he knew it, the Grass genin had moved the distance between them, punching him first in the stomach, and then across the jaw. Even as he reeled back from the blows, Keito tried to keep concentrated the chakra he stored up in his mouth.

'Well this is disappointing,' Ashima of the Green Grass remarked, shaking her head as she tugged on Keito's hair, bringing their eyes to meet each other's again -- this time, with him looking up to her, beaten, 'You seemed so chatty, I thought you might have some bite to you as well. But, it's the first day after all.'

"It feels like it's been so much longer than that." Keito groaned. Then, he took a deep breath.

'Don't worry, you don't have too much longer left to go,' She tried to tease, when her captured prey exhaled his heavy breath, blowing air at her face in a disruptive, annoying act of defiance, 'What the- are you serious? That's so weir-'

Then, Ashima's body froze in place, twitching in frustrated, attempted movements. She knew what she wanted to do, but her body didn't seem to respond to her inputs. Instead, it fought back -- even while her trapped foe could feel her bindings loosen and slip away, returning to normal, undisturbed grass once more. Like a fisherman hooking bait on a line, Keito unreeled a thread of his own chakra which seemed to jut out from Ashima's nose. He could feel her squirming the whole way through, but she'd used just enough of her chakra that he'd been able to gain the upper hand for just long enough.

In spite of several options at hand, Keito chose simply to re-gain his distance from Ashima once again, even though his control over the genjutsu would weaken in spite of that. He could feel the Grass genin shaking with rage as she fought, clawing her way out of his control. And then, the thread snapped like a twig. Mad but free, Ashima seemed to have forgotten about her squadmate Eugo entirely.

Finally in range of his real teammates, the enemy squad of three now all separated from the other, Keito smiled.

"Now!" He called out to Mori and Tomiko, as the Grass genin came at him with a furious counterattack.

Tsuki
Tsuki's head nodded along slowly as she saw Furījia counter the explosive tag with a solitary rock and using what seemed to be a unique technique of hers to dissipate the viscous rope. What's more, the Konoha kunoichi seemed to be coming alive outside of combat as well, given that she had previously expressed discontent with the previous situation and commenting on the disadvantageous position that she was put in. Finally, it bore mentioning that the girl began to bear arms, her weapon of choice being a spear that had gaps at consistent intervals, though the purpose of the segmented design eluded Tsuki at the moment. Regardless, she figured that it would be within her best interest to continue observing, though now she wished to observe both Hisato and Furījia.

To best capitalize on our strength in numbers, I will need to see how my ally fights: specifically where he excels and where his shortcoming become evident. From there, the cooperative effort becomes as simple as complementing his strengths while supplementing his weaknesses. My job for dealing with my opponent is reversed, capitalize on the shortcomings and stifle opportunities for her strengths to shine through.

"Hisato, I've had some fun with this girl, I think its your turn now."
@ThAtGuY101

Asahi yawned loudly as some of the other ninjas made statements or comments about the situation they were in. Knowing Karui was behind her she felt a bit more confident, despite being very outnumbered. Her attention was quickly gathered on the boy who was already starting to make hand signals, probably getting ready for an attack, and it seemed he was the only one who wasn't waiting for Asahi to make the first move. Without further hesitation, the girl from Hasa took a step back and fell downwards off the tree branch, landing gently on her feet while reaching into the pouch around her right thigh. Unfortunately, she had forgotten to buy weapons, she felt a cold chill as she imagined Riceball finding out...

Asahi threw her chakrams in the air and then said "Buddah's Palm!"

She quickly transferred her wind element to her fists as she took a similar stance to Muay Thai. She fired three quick punches into the air, creating three gusts of wind, one after another, heading directly towards Raiku. She then caught her chakrams and began swinging them around her wrists, ready to attack.

Hisato watched the leaf kunoichi's attack get countered by Tsuki. He smiled when Tsuki said it was his turn, "I heard fight!" Hisato said cheerfully leaning forward. As he leaned forward, his body shifted forward, he kicked off the branch to launch himself towards the leaf Kunoichi. He Extended blades from his wrists and went in for a double strike. One at the throat and one at the abdomen. Regardless whether or not his attacks landed, he would go in for a headbutt.

Raiku did a set of hand seals similar to the ones he performed during his fight with Kiro and set out a volley of fireballs towards Asahi, who in turn sent out three gusts of wind at the Uchiha. However her attacks would not reach Raiku as his fireballs would proceed to eat up the gusts of wind as fuel, further strengthening his jutsu. Raiku also had continued performing hand seals, before shooting out a volley of oil bullets of a similar size to his previous Pheonix Sage Fire flames. Together, the oil, wind, and original fire would easily incinerate most things in its path, due to being one of the most powerful flames a genin could produce.

Asahi eyes widen as she saw the incoming fireballs, her first thought was thinking of the well being of any forest animals nearby and then she remembered she wasn't fire proof either. With a quick thought Asahi positioned herself in front of one of the attacks, she threw her chakrams in the air again, this time higher than before, and then smashed her right fist towards the ground, releasing a strong gust of wind from under her that sent her flying upwards. She caught her chakrams in the air and threw one in a curved line towards Raiku's right and then spinned to give the second one more momentum before throwing it also in a curved line towards Raiku's left. If any of her chakrams missed, they would circle back to her.

However the girl landed just as a fireball was passing by, burning her arm. Asahi sniffed the air and noticed her burnt arm as she shivered thinking about the scolding she might get from Karui. She then started running to the side, trying her best to avoid getting any more burned body parts from the volley of fireballs.
