Caleb was waiting for Katelyn in the arena. His face was a mask of determination, his eyes held a cold fury that wouldn't remain cold for very long. He said nothing, merely fixing Katelyn with his stony gaze. He ramped up his quirk to 15%, and tore the dock chains he'd wrapped around his body, the shattered links clattering to the ground. His uniform followed shortly after, revealing muscles defined like chiseled rock and hard like oak bark.

Caleb took deep, slow breaths. If Katelyn said anything, he ignored it. There was only the battle ahead and the faith in his heart. There was nothing else. There needed to be nothing else. He took up his preferred stance, typical of Thai and Myanmar boxers. He was ready for the match to begin.
@Cryronn the Mudkip

The green-haired girl was not one to keep and opponent waiting, and stepped out onto the field, stepping up the stairs onto the concrete rectangle they’d be duking it out on. She stretched her arms, raising them into the sky, before falling her arms back down to touch her toes, pulling them back up again and poised at her sides.

“Sooo, Caleb~ pleasant to meet you here! Just so you know, mister strong boy, I’m not gonna be losing to you~ aaand it looks like you’re not even listening. Oh well~! Let’s show these assholes in the crowd a good time-!” She said with confidence, sliding her foot across the floor. Caleb was an opponent nobody but her would be okay with facing on the first round, and she knew that, so this was just perfect! Suddenly, there was an announcement from the commentator and suddenly, a loud bell rung out, causing Katelyn to whip up some winds around her, swirling around her like a mini tornado. “Come at me, bitch!”

@Hogzilla

Kureiji stepped out into the sunlight, stepping up the stairs and onto the battlefield, pushing his body into a squat, up and down, a few times. He felt all eyes on him, and soon, Tsuya as well. He waited on her entrance with anticipation, clawing at the inside of his pockets as he pulled out a protein bar that was absolutely packed with energy, a Type of bar that he had custom made for him by the Support Team at UA, and bit right into it, needing to finish it before the battle for that extra bit of oomph he needed.

Tsuya was ready she was hoping to go up against a less offense orientated person like herself but you don't always get what you want. She walked up the steps watching Kureiji as she went. She knew he had some kind of root attack but if he was smart he wouldn't use it cause it would just give her the advantage. She walked to the middle part of the stadium and faced Kureiji "well let's do this then shall we" she said before taking a crouched stance awaiting Kureiji's first move.
@Cryronn the Mudkip

Yuuki walked out into the stadium and winced slightly at the sunlight, it wasn't too bright but it did mean she wouldn't be doing any full transformation. She walked to the spot and waited for her opponent who was Acura if she remembered correctly. She knew he used electricity and as her father had once explained her shadows could easily block electricity. She wondered if he would have a tricks up his sleeve.

Acura walked out into the stadium with a smile, excited to fight Yuuki. Their Quirks were almost polar opposites, and he knew his electricity could keep her shadows away. Even so, he knew he couldn't get cocky, as his opponent was rather strong from what he had seen. Hoping all of his prior training would pay off, he walked up the stairs and into the giant arena where the match would take place. Yuuki was already there, and he gave her a wave before getting into a defensive stance.

"Just wanna let you know I won't be going easy on you!" He warned her, still smiling and wanting her to take the first move.
@Shadow_Pup

Caleb raised an eyebrow at Katelyn's cocky remarks, especially when she referred to the crowd as "assholes". He dropped low and rushed at her with shocking speed on all fours like a great ape. He figured he knew why she was so confident. She probably meant to knock him out of bounds with wind, and she could do so if she got him off the ground. But he had a way around that. He'd spent hours striking concrete to make sure he could anchor himself in the ground in a flash. It slowed him down a little but even if she evaded, he knew could chase her longer she could run.

He wasn't anchoring himself yet, let that be a surprise. As he neared the wind barrier, he brought one fist back and spiked it on the ground, causing a tremor around himself, meaning to knock her off her feet, and anchoring his fist in the ground as though it were stuck. He still looked at her with cold determination.

@Cryronn the Mudkip

Katelyn brushed back her hair from her face, and viewed Caleb going in for the assault, as he went on all fours like some sort of feral boar... Huh... She knew that his quirk was good at anchoring himself, and she could see through any of his tricks with her tactical mind, so when he slammed his fist into the earth, she was bounced back why the shockwave, and blown off her feet, but using her wind she was able to stay airborne.

She shot up into the sky, looking down at the rooted-in Caleb. She would start off strong, with a technique/super move she'd made weeks ago, looking right into Caleb's eyes and grinding. "Winded Gallery! Smash!" She yelled out, and released a small ball of compressed wind from a flick, and suddenly, it burst, releasing a gallery of sharp, glowing wind spikes that began to rain down on the battlefield, which Caleb was rooted into place on, which would force him to unroot himself to avoid it, or just get pierced by a bunch of wind needles.

@Hogzilla

Kureiji looked at Tsuya, and forced his face into a grin, though it looked real enough to not be obvious. "All right! Just know, I won't be having myself losing here! I've got a mom watching me, so I can't lose here!" He grinned, knowing his and Tsuya's moms were quite close, though he hadn't really met her... Well, he thought he'd seen her once, but that was when he was seven. "Let's hope for a change!

The bell rung, and he began to step forward slowly, and bit the last bit off his protein bar, and then slammed his foot into the earth, feeling his body tense up, and his arm glowed pale green. Shooting out of it and into his grip was a long bone-forged staff, that he spun and struck onto the ground in front of him, like a defense. He grinned, knowing that the staff would be easier to counter her attacks with a lighter weapon. If he needed to do some... Hurt... He could create a scythe or a... Knife... Nah, don't think about murder weapons.

Tsuya ran towards Kureiji, as she neared him she launched herself into a somersault straight over his head whilst simultaneously wrapping her tongue around the staff in his hands, she landed behind him and pulled with her tongue in an attempt to make him smack himself in the face with his own weapon. In case that plan failed she was prepared to manoeuvre herself away.
@Cryronn the Mudkip

Yuuki noticed Acura taking up the defensive and covered her legs in shadows boost her leg power to increase her speed while having her right hand become a clawed monstrosity, she swung with it and kept her other hand separate to prepare to defend as she slashed at Acura, she knew this would be hard and in all honesty couldn't wait to see who won.
@ArmedBlue

Acura's reflexes kicked in as Yuuki rushed at him and swung her claw, quickly stepping backwards to barely dodge and being careful not to lose balance. He had to make sure he didn't get sent backwards too much, so he decided to pressure his opponent into backing off. He brought up his right hand while putting his left to the side, making small electric blasts with his right to attack while covering part of his left arm in electricity to defend himself in case Yuuki retaliated.
@Shadow_Pup

Caleb's vision followed the raining needles. He rooted his foot with a stomp and tore loose a chunk of concrete. He gritted his teeth as two needles hit him. He'd placed his feet so only two would land. One he punched away with his free hand, and the other took him in the shoulder. It stung, but he didn't flinch. Only a trickle of blood came of the wound. He could have deflected that one with his other hand, but he used that hand to hurl the chunk of concrete at Katelyn. His face was unchanged, but his anger was rising inside. The longer he hid it, the better surprise it would be when he went in for the proverbial kill.

@Cryronn the Mudkip

Kureiji, being the deep that he is, got smacked right in the face with his own weapon, yelling out a distressed noise before turning around, pulling the staff with him and attempting to hit the girl in the ribs with it. Due to its length, he knew it was more likely to hit her, but he needed a backup plan. He couldn't win if he couldn't hit her... He needed to trap her. He slid his foot back and from his shoe burst several vines, that shot out to lasso around her foot, a successful grab being crucial for even landing a single hit on the agile girl.

@Shadow_Pup

Katelyn, now airborne, was convinced he'd try to dodge, but the madlad decided to stop literal air needles with his hands! "You crazy bastard, you!" She chimed, but was interrupted as the boy literally hurled a chunk of concrete at her! She held up her hands, and was able to just barely block the rock, feeling pain in her shoulders and wrists as they were pushed back, gritting h teeth as pain shot up her nerves, but her wind force as able to push back before it did any serious damage, launching it back down at the boy with both her wind energy, muscle force, and gravity!

@Hogzilla

Caleb watched Katelyn wince as she deflected the attack back at him. He changed at up this time, nailing the piece with a roundhouse kick. His shin smashed the concrete lump to pieces and he spun back to his stance, and regarded with a calm expression that was tinged with what was undoubtedly boredom. He crooked his finger several times, challenging her to come to him, and thumped his chest, another provocation.

"I don't need her to get in hand to hand range." He thought, still giving her the same look as when she'd entered. "Just close enough to make this certain" He had observed her movement and reactions and would continue to do so, but she'd never seen him move as fast as he could. He just needed to weather attacks until she got too close. Once he had an opening, he could close the book in one shot.

Yuuki was prepared for his counter attack and brought up her left arm and created a shield to block the blasts before shifting the claw into a ball and chain and swinging it in a circle before doing a wide swing to try and hit Acura whilst also switching the shield into a rope thing and trying to lasso his legs out from under him.
@ArmedBlue

Tsuya was glad her plan had worked but despite being ready to get away she hadn't been expecting him to being with the staff that soon after being hit in the face and it caught her off guard, she went to leap back but found her foot bound by roots, she put her arms in front of her to block the blow and winced as the staff hit her forearms, the then managed to slipped out of the roots and hopped backwards, one arm hung at her side, not exactly broken but not really useful and the other stung like hell. She was panting as she eyed up Kureiji awaitingnhis next move.
@Cryronn the Mudkip

Kate, looking at Caleb, knew she sure as hell didn't want to get anywhere near that nutjob, if he could throw a chunk of concrete and completely smash it with such ease that he looked bored... Stupid strength quirks, can't do shit if you can't reach your target! She floated along on her airstream teasingly, as she drifted over to the opposite side of the concrete arena, and giggled. "Mmm? Why don't you come up here and get me then~" she teased, shooting several wind bullets around the area where he was that, each one bursting into much much smaller air needles on contact. She wasn't getting anywhere near him!

@Hogzilla

Kureiji broke into a grin... A possibly sadistic one, but that wasn't really here nor there. He pulled back his staff again as she jumped her way out of its range, knowing that one of her expert climbing arms had been made useless... Which means with her ability to climb surfaces reduced dramatically, he could afford to launch some of his more large scale attacks... But he had to test it at some point before he went all in, so just to make the girl annoyed, from his hands he launched a sea of large Paper Wasps, with a painful sting that would be sure to land at least once, and set them to track and drain her stamina over time!

Acura watched Yuuki block his attack and counter with a ball and chain swing. He brought up his left arm in front of him, the electricity surrounding it jumping towards the ball and repelling it. However, he didn’t see the rope coming to lasso his legs and he was brought down awfully close to his opponent. If he didn’t do something quick, he’d get hurt badly.

“Dammit...! Thunder Scales!” Acura clamored, covering himself in azure electricity before it detached itself from him and formed a spherical electric field that surrounded a small area around him. He’d come up with it to get opponents off him if they got too close, and he figured this was the perfect time to use it. The shadowy rope around his legs dissolved when the bright electricity reached it, Acura quickly getting back on his feet. Yuuki would have to move away quickly if she didn’t want to get shocked.

Tsuya yelped as the wasps followed her, she batted at them and performed several manoeuvres to stop herself being too badly stung. Of course she was still stung but it could be worse, she eventually dealt with most of them before turning her attention back to Kureiji, "that was just rude" she said as she took a low stance and charged forward seeming to be going for a head on attack when in reality she was planning to launch over him and attack from behind.
@Cryronn the Mudkip

Yuuki didn't react in time and was pushed back slightly by the shield. She growled in frustration and let out a battle cry as she turned both hands into giant shadow fist and began to mercilessly beat on the shield. The right hand fist dispersed first but she managed to get the left hand through just before it disperse. This wasn't a good thing though because now her left hand and forearm were now shrouded in electricity, this pretty much fried her arm and when the shield cause her to be launched backwards she couldn't stop herself from tumbling out of the arena, she coughed up a little bit of blood and sighed, she had let her emotions get the best of her. She then slowly lost consciousness.
@ArmedBlue

Caleb grimaced slightly as Katelyn didn't take the bait. He walked right through her attacks after swatting the first away and finding these attacks to be inferior to her first.

He followed, gauging her position relative to the boundaries of the field. It was known that flying out of bounds would constitute defeat, so even flying, Katelyn's maneuverability was finite. He didn't think this in quite so many words, but the ideas flashed through his mind, predator instincts guiding him as surely as logic might guide another. He scooped up two more concrete projectiles, and approached in center stage.

As the distance shrank, he carefully watched her movements. He was up to 40% now, double that of his first attack. He moved at normal speed. Caleb gestured with one hand, trying the provocation again. Almost time...

@Cryronn the Mudkip

Katelyn viewed the the boy had completely forgotten his anchor, and was attempting to use heavy objects to use on her at a range... What a fool! She contorted her face into a smile, and suddenly, a vortex whipped up around Caleb's feet, and began to force him upward, the wind spiraling around him and trapping him inside, the force of pressure for a normal human without Caleb's strength being enough to cause the, to pass out completely. In her hand, she decided to try the other part of her quirk. The more risky half that could completely dehydrate her if used too often. Weather manipulation.

He brought her hand up toward the boy, still trapped within the vortex, the ricks he planned to the throw even more susceptible to being stopped by the vacuum, and clouds began to form, sapping her internal water. They went from white... To gray... To black... And then, with one large flash of light, a lighting bolt shot from the clouds in her hand, right toward Caleb to deliver a great electrical charge.

(weather manipulation can be done by creating clouds around her or literally changing the weather itself, the former taking significantly more energy)
@Hogzilla

"Well even if it is, you should stop complaining and maybe get a bit better at dealing with animals that you can crush with your foot, Tsuya!" He responded a little mockingly, as if to taunt her into a risky move that he could easily punish. He saw her rush toward him and knew that she definitely had a plan if he decided to do a frontal block... So he let his eyes narrow, grit his teeth, and right as she approached and began to flip...

His entire body glowed a pale green, and he released porcupine needles from his body in all directions. Unfortunately his power could only dispel the needles, not add them to his body like Dakarai, but this AoE attack would surely pressure Tsuya into a bad spot! (yes his shirt got holes ripped into it by the needles. No he did not rip his pants because he did not release from his legs.)

@Shadow_Pup

(The intent was for Caleb to approach slowly, stomping down to anchor himself with each step, but I can work with this)

Caleb watched Katelyn pour energy into the storm, he watched her grab lightning from her clouds and hurl it. This would probably sting. "DO. NOT. FLINCH." He screamed in his own mind. In a sense he did, but only the involuntary spasm from high voltage being channeled through his body, and the whipcrack of the lightning sent him hurtling to the ground. His body hurt a lot, but that only made him more determined. As he fell, Caleb twisted and hurled his rocks, one after the other in Katelyn's direction. He landed hard with a crash, but was back on his feet in a flash. He couldn't see the girl, through the black clouds but he knew where he'd thrown the rocks He jumped at over double the speed she'd ever seen him use, gauging her position based on where the rocks had been aimed. "If I can't see her, she can't see me." he thought wryly, and was pleased when he felt his body collide with a lighter, smaller one in the black haze. He still couldn't see her, in fact he couldn't see his own nose, but he could feel her, and his arms clamped down, one on her wrist, the other wrapping around her waist. As the two began to fall, he finally spoke in out loud. "Got you."

A young girl was riding in the passenger seat of her mom's car, feeling anticipation and anxiety like going in on the first day of school. As they passed rolling green lands, the school stood before them in all their glory. U.A. high school. Oh, how she missed it, as her eyes fell into a yearning gaze, her dark eyes boring into the school. Maybe her classmates were still here. The one she really wanted to see here was Inanis. Though, she likely won't see him here. She hoped she would though.

Her mother, Ryuko, stopped the car next to the gate that led to the dorms. "I hope you have a good time here, sweetie. It's good to be back, right?"

Drayda nodded, a little unsure of what would happen if she walked into that dorm. She had sent a few things over from her house, so she can decorate her room later. She sighed and a smile crept onto her face before facing her mother. "Yea, it's good to be back. I'll see you later, mom."

She gave her mother a kiss on the cheek goodbye and she hauled her stuffed purple backpack and her suitcase from the back seat. Clicking the handle to raise it so she can roll her suitcase around, she slung the backpack loop around her built shoulder, not used to the muscle she had gained during her training with her mother. She wasn't sculpted, but there was enough tone to warn people not to mess with her.

She made her way to Class 1-A's dorms. She didn't know what was going on, but a few posters within the dorm itself as she walked into the homey dorms answered it. The U.A. Sports Festival. Seemed like they were doing a tournament style battle. Compared to what happened to the last kids, it seemed pretty lame, and battle heavy quirks would get the win if the other quirks don't give their A-Game. She sighed heavy, wondering if this was divine intervention to show off what she had learned or if it was going to be an embarrassment. Her dragon seemed to think so, and she didn't like the prospect of her dragon dipping out against a student. She wanted villains. Of course, her dragon wanted to fight villains. She felt more comfortable destroying villains and criminals than her peers, which makes sense. She had a weird sense of honor, and she wouldn't outright hurt anybody she deemed either unworthy or she liked unless they provoke her, which didn't take much nowadays. Drayda wished her training tempered her dragon, but it didn't.

She walked up the female dorms and found her room on the fifth floor. She then hesitantly walked into the room and saw the items she had the moving team bring over. She sighed and got to work.

With her purple backpack next to her bed, she sighed heavily from the amount of effort it took to make her room. There was a sizable purple bean bag that she liked to curl up on, a dragon motif rug on the floor, banners of varying heroes from some time ago (including Hawks, Ryuko, and Crimson Riot), a small vanity that was in another corner of the room, and her closet next to her vanity that held all of her clothes and her tracksuits. She also had a punching bag leaning against the wall that she hadn't set up yet. She'll have to move her bean bag out of the way to set it near the corner but she didn't have the strength or stamina to do so.

Taking one good look around the room after she cleaned up herself and changed into her U.A. tracksuit, she walked back down into the dorm room's lobby. After all that she was hungry, and she was dying to have Lunch Rush's food. So gourmet. She walked to the kitchen, completely zoning out as she did so.

Hiro trudged along back towards the dorm room. His insides hurt, it felt like a light bulb had exploded in his stomach. The electricity, it went down I felt it go in and stay for a bit. It felt like my fire could burn through anything. It felt like I was stronger. Maybe it's just some more training I need with it, good thing I got this shock collar though. Man I'd look dumb if Akura electrocuted me each time I wanted to train, he thought. He walked into the dorm room, to the kitchen. He stopped, looking at the familiar dark skinned girl. He limped towards her, hugging her when he came close. "Drayda you back!", he said. "It's been a while, how are you doing?", he smiled, before wincing at his insides. He opened the freezer, taking out a pack of ice and pressing it on his side. "So planning to rip out my throat and break my legs with your tail?", he joked.

@Merciless Medic

Miku was pacing around the room, his mind was racing. He was very worried about his upcoming match, even though he was only facing Ru.
"But what if he improved so much that he'll completely obliterate me... Or at least cover me in that purple gunk!" He muttered, hugging himself out of stress(is that a thing?). "And even if I win, I'll have to face one of my other classmates! And they're all so strong... mostly..." He quickly stopped and looked at the match ups. The muscular and self-elected-leader grandpa was going againts the nice, yet badass green-haired girl; the new reptile was facing the guy who has a crush on Dakarai; the tailed step-grandma was going against Dakarai; the forgetable heat guy was fighting his cousin; that scary eye-patch girl was facing that other forgetable guy with the electricity; and someone named Yowai (who Miku had no idea who they were) was, unfortunately, going to be hospitalized by The Psychopath. If he were to win, he would either get a heart attack from the shadow girl, or maybe actually win again against that electric boy. If you couldn't tell, he didn't have a lot of self-confidence, despite being cute, funny, insecure (so relatable), basically the whole package. He turned away from the table and took a deep breath.
"Relax, you'll probably be able to do this." He tried to give himself a pep talk, but his nerves just wouldn't go away. "C'mon, it's time..."
@Barefoot_Kittens

Unlike her second cousin, Aika wasn't very worried, she was actually looking forward to her battle with Tetsuma, the black-haired boy with the Heat Quirk. She didn't know a lot about the boy, just that he seemed to be in Bakugou's daughter's inner circle, which meant one of two things: He was incredibly eccentric(and possibly violent), just like the rest of the group; or he was just a nice, normal bloke. She wasn't exactly sure how his Quirk worked, or what strategy to use against it, but she couldn't let that worry her. So her plan was to just try to get near him and always be ready to dodge his attacks. That was it. She has to be very careful with swords and other metal objects, otherwise... her appendages would be permanently deformed. She got up from the chair that she was sitting on and started stretching, making sure to also crack the joints from her hands and feet. Her turn was finally coming and she was ready for it.

Kishi was completely zoned out, still analysing his newfound power when he heard some commotion coming from the kitchen.

He peeked inside.

"....well, well well!" He exclaimed, surprised and happy to see one of his old rivals back.

"I'd wondered where you wandered off to shortly after our race! But, no matter. Welcome back, comrade! And just in time for the sports festival too. Do you plan to participate?"

@Schrift007 @Merciless Medic

Drayda spun around after hearing footsteps behind her. It almost startled her if the taller guy hadn't hugged suddenly. She felt the collar and remembered this was Hiro. Wait, Hiro?! She hugged back tightly, careful to not hurt him as she assumed he had taken part in the Sports Festival. She let go and allowed Hiro space to open the fridge. "God, I've missed you, Hiro. What happened while I was gone? I missed out on the mountain training thing because I got sick and we had to move somewhere for a job mom had. I'm so glad I came back. I'm stronger, too." She flexed as Kishi peeked in, her biceps more defined and slightly larger than what they were when she first came to the school. On the topic of the joke, she chuckled and shook her head. "Only if you anger Lyria. And yes, that is the dragon's name." She looked over as she heard Kishi speak and pulled him into a hug.

"Kishi! It's been forever!" She let go and gave the two guys some space as she got some ice cream from the fridge. "How are you? And yes, I am, now that I am here and ready to show off what my mom has trained into me. I got a hold of Chrome Dome and he helped to get me into the tournament before I got here." She then realized that the two were injured or exhausted from something. Did Kishi battle too? She looked between the two with confusion lacing her features as her brow furrowed in worry. Ever since her training, which included rescue training from her mother, she was more aware of other people's wounded or exhausted states. "You two, okay? Did you two tussle in the Sports Festival?"

"Haha, you're lucky you didn't go on that trip. Villains attacked the place and almost killed a bunch of us. During the fight my elbow was broken and my arm was snapped into two. Then things went from crap to shittier when me and Caleb got into a fight. It was my fault and I almost killed a bunch of people. I was knocked out. In the after math, my arm looked like wood chips and it's lucky that I still have my arm. I had multiple broken ribs and I was in a coma for a couple days. But apart from that it was fun", he said, slightly upset. He crushed the icepack against his ribs, slowly melting it. "I didn't fight Kishi but I hope I do, I want to see what he has to throw", he said with a grin plastered on his face.

Tetsuma had been sitting in the waiting room for a while, waiting for his turn to finally arrive. He wasn't very nervous, in fact he was pretty excited to finally have the chance to show his quirk off to the world, so he was pretty restless in the waiting room. His opponent was Aika Kendo from 1B, he didn't know all too much about her, but he did know that she was the daughter of the pro hero Battle Fist. That would mean that her quirk has something to do with expanding the size of her limbs most likely. She'd probably also have to get pretty close to do any fighting, and so would he in most cases, so this was gonna be a pretty close quarters fight. All the better for him to show off his quirk, since fighting against a ranged opponent would just make things harder for him to do his best.

The match just before his finally finished playing on the monitor, and Tetsuma walked toward the door out into the stadium. "It's finally time, you've got this!" He shouted to himself, before taking a deep breath and opening the door.

Kishi became quite flustered when Drayda pulled him into a hug. This was the closest he'd been to a female other than his mother - but he decided to think nothing of it. It was only natural, after not seeing one another for quite a while.

He listened to Hiro's explanation of what happened on the island, and found himself nodding in agreement.

"It was tough, but we managed to pull through to see another sunrise!"

After hearing Hiro declare his willingness to fight him, Kishi became somewhat flustered.

"Y-yes, I s-suppose that wouldn't be a bad idea, it's just that, um....I'd rather not go back to hospital so soon, hm?" He stammered, before finding himself laughing.

"Well, the sports festival is coming up soon. We've been training our hearts, souls, and bodies in preparation for this sacred tradition. Out on that stage, we will meet in combat and engage in a clash of spirits for the entire world to see!"

@Merciless Medic @Schrift007

Drayda stood there in shock as Hiro and Kishi talked in turn about the villain attack. Her eyes were wide and pupils dilated and her dark skin became drained of color and becoming pale from terror. The confident words of her comrades didn't sway her panic. The ice pack being crushed by Hiro didn't register, but his later statement about the Sports Festival did. So Hiro had fought someone earlier. Why didn't he go to the nurse's office? She looked at Hiro's arms, trying to see the damage that had splintered his arm into pieces that he had talked about earlier.

When Kishi had spoke up about Hiro fighting him, Drayda felt her lips curl into a small half-hearted smirk before dying back down into a tight line. The fight with the villains.

I'm jealous. The words echoed in the deep recesses of her mind, and the voice growled in indignation. Too bad I couldn't fight Hiro. What about Kishi?

The voice taunted her and she looked to Kishi warily. One eye was filled with compassion and care, as well as worry. The other was something a predator may hold, not to mention it was now purple and the round pupil became a slit, common in cat's dilating pupils. She shook her head quickly, feeling haunted by the images of her imaginations of the terror that was the mountain. Her eye went back to normal.

She tried to clear her head from the thoughts and focused on the Sports Festival and nodded at Kishi's words. "Yea, my mom trained me herself when she realized she had taken me away from training. The problem is, I have made no headway with Lyria and she has been more aggressive and standoffish lately. She wants to fight villains, but she doesn't want to waste her "skills" in combat with our peers because she doesn't see the point. I can't get her to see reason, so hopefully whoever goes up there beats me. It's unfair, yes, but either I make myself lose and make sure nobody gets hurt or I lose myself like I did last time and I almost kill someone, like when I nearly broke the entire building when we did the hero vs villain training with the hostages and the bomb."

Her eyes looked sad as she cast them down on the floor, her hunger forgotten and appetite ruined as she remembered her inability to control herself.

Minoru
Ru tugged at the collar of his uniform, impatiently tapping his feet as he waiting for Miku to be ready. It wasn't the first time he had fought his friend, but last time didn't go so well. This was either his chance to redeem himself or to get utterly embarrassed once again. Ru huffed, he had already done better than his father who didn't even make it to the tournament, but he wanted to actually do something good. There hadn't been any way to prove himself since the villain attack, where he blacked out and was in the hospital for days- least to say Ru doubted anyone at the school thought of him as much better than the loser that he called his father. He cracked both knuckles and smiled nervously, he was permitted to keep is quirk enhancing weapons on his hands, but he still didn't have any clue as to how he'd be able to stop something as flexible as Miku. He looked towards the other boy and offered a thumbs up before taking a readied stance with slightly bent knees, hopefully Miku would strike first. Suddenly, the bell rang for the match to begin.
Ru clenched his fists, he'd have to be quick but whatever Miku attacked with would be Ru's target, he'd immediately apprehend and therefore eliminate at least one of Miku's limbs, giving him an advantage. Unlike the last time they fought, Miku knew all about Ru's quirk- so Ru had to rely on an actual strategy if he wanted to win. Which he did, really.

Samara
Sam stretched her arms in front of her and smiled at Dakarai. She had a good opponent in front of her, someone who was strong but not out of Sam's league. The girl's tail swished excitedly behind her as her eyebrows furrowed fondly, she had grown fairly close to Dakarai after attending the fair with the girl. Dakarai was kind and honest, a really good person. Sam, honestly, didn't mind losing to someone like Dakarai. Of course, that didn't mean she planned on letting her friend win- she had her father's name to uphold, after all. When the bell rang to begin, Sam tightened her stance. She knew Dakarai pretty well, and if her quirk had a weak point it was the lag time between growing parts. It meant Dakarai would have to keep her distance while her quirk was being activated. Sam took a risk by assuming this time would provide her with an opening, the girl's tail shot out in an instance, she stood completely still while her tail spun rapidly towards Dakarai with the intention of wrapping around and containing the other female.

He noticed her looking at his arm, "My arm is healed now, but it took over four surgeries to fix it as much as they could. Well I can't cross my fingers anymore", he smirked. He lifted his trembling hand, and attempted to cross his fingers. The best he could do was lift his middle finger slightly higher than his index finger. "Tadaaa". As he did thi, Hiro managed to catch a quick glimpse of Drayda's eye change. He looked at her eyes for awhile, wondering if what he saw was true. After his moments of his awkward stare he shook it off. "Hey Drayda, you okay?", he asked, slightly concerned. "Well don't be so hard on yourself, I almost put everyone on the island at risk. I was willing to kill Caleb and I was about to when we had to stop. But if you want to fight someone and make sure they don't get hurt, you could always fight me. Who knows maybe we might see each other in the sports festival", he chuckled.

Dakarai’s eyes narrowed. She was at a slight disadvantage, taking into account the fact that if she went all out, her clothes would be destroyed. If only she could have worn her hero costume. Oh, well. Let’s just do this. She rolled her shoulders and cracked her neck. This was her time for the extra training she put in to pay off!

No one, with the exception of Kureiji, knew what she had been doing to train, other than the fact that it had destroyed a good patch of trees. Dakarai knew she was expected to have a large lag time. Knowing this, Sam would probably try to press her attack the second the match had—

Begun! Like Dakarai had predicted, Sam attacked first, though not by closing the gap like she’d expected. Makes sense, she thought. I haven’t really paid attention to anyone lately. Too busy training. Now I gotta pick something small but effective, and fast. The first thing she could think of was to just duplicate her own arms and legs. They tore her PE uniform, but everything was still covered.

The moment before Sam’s tail would have made contact, Dakarai dodged under it, extra arms reaching up to grab the tail as it swung past. If only they had the strength of my gorilla arms, dammit. I can’t hold it for long. But while she could hold it, she would close the gap, then fight with the eight limbs she had made.

Miku walked up the stairs, it was finally time for his match to start. As his taller friend came into view, the boy looked him up and down, noticing some strange devices around his hands. Were they supposed to enhance his Quirk? If Miku knew they could bring weird machines with them, he would've brought a bazooka! He stopped as he entered the rectangle and just stood there, looking down at the ground. After a long moment and one last deep breath, he met Minoru's gaze... and grinned. He spread his arms out and inflated his hands, them put together exactly matching the width of the battle field. Despite their size, Miku was able to keep the above him without too much wobbling, due to his extensive training over the past months. Within just a few moments, the boy's arms lengthened and his master plan finally started. Before Ru could even react, his hands came crashing down and landed on the ground with a deafening thud and sending dust everywhere, creating a large wall between the two boys that was towering over the them. Yes, his strategy was way over the top, since he could just poke Ru and he would be out, but he needed to make his match memorable. Without thinking too much, Miku began to push his hands forward to push Ru out of the field. No matter how much his hands started to hurt, the wall was moving at a moderate pace, leaving less and less space for Ru to move. If he tried to climb the wall or stick his hands to the ground, he would push him out with his fingers (which he should have done from the start). So no matter what Minoru tried to do, there was no way he could win.

Aika was waiting on the field for her opponent, her arms crossed. She watched the boy come up the stairs and gave him a polite nod. She was watching him intently, her face not suggesting worry nor confidence. She just stood there looking at him, analyzing his movements, physical features and facial expressions, until the bell rung. Instead of rushing the boy, she just took a careful step forwards. And another. And another. Her strategy was to wait for him to come attack her, then dodge and strike back. It was a simple strategy, but an effective one. She just smiled at him, with her hands on her hips, and waited.

Acura watched Yuuki attempt to get through his shield and almost succeed, the ensuing shock launching her backwards and out of bounds. The crowd cheered at the boy's victory, and even though he was worried about Yuuki's arm, he couldn't help but smile. He started to approach Yuuki to check on her, though some staff members had already picked her up with a stretcher and carried her to the nurse's office. Hope she'll be fine... He thought before heading back to the waiting room to take a quick break before spectating the next match. He didn't expect his own fight to be over so quickly, but he thought that was likely a sign of him improving his Quirk since he had started attending U.A.

After drinking some water and taking a breather, Acura walked through the hallways until he reached a section of the stands that was reserved for students to watch their classmates. He had made it just in time for Miku and Ru's match to begin, the former opening by enlarging his hands and attempting to push the latter off the arena. Acura couldn't wait to see what Ru would do to get out of that situation.

Tsuya reacted quickly spinning slightly before using her tongue like a grapple to get herself to the ground, she had a few scratches from the needles and as she neared the floored she shifted her position and released her tongue from the ground causing her to fly towards Kureiji in an attempt to hit him with her full force, the only problem was if he dodged, she risked launching herself out of the arena.

As the bell rang and the match finally began, Tetsuma took a second to see what his opponent would do. She started by taking small steps carefully toward him, so it seemed she wasn't very eager to charge straight in. If she was preparing for him to attack first, he knew he'd have to take her by surprise, so Tetsuma ran towards her, heating up his right palm as he ran, and when he was close enough he stuck the arm with his heated palm out to the side and released it, blasting him to the right of her in a circle in an attempt to hit her from behind.

The moment Katelyn felt herself be grabbed by the boy, she yelped, and felt her quirk activate on it's own via pure instinct, and she released a massive burst of wind out from her whole body, which had enough trice to blow even the likes of Caleb off her... Unfortunately, wind pushback also had the side effect of launching her backwards, and soon, she'd landed roughly in the grass outside the concrete rectangle, dazed. She pulled herself out, to hear the bell ring and the crowd cheer for the victory of Caleb, and sighed, as she looked at her wounds. Nothing more than a few scratches from the impact as well as red marks on her biceps from where Caleb had gripped her... But damn, Kureiji or Tsuya was gonna be in for a ride...

"Oi Caleb! Nice job! I wouldn't get too cocky now that you'd won a single match against me! If we ever fought in an open space you'd be done for! Let's hope we never see each other in a situation like that though, I'd feel awful actually fighting you~" she said, pulling herself off the ground and dusting the grass off her legs and arms, before heading back in to grab some bandages.

@Hogzilla

Kureiji saw Tsuya launching herself at him after being barely affected by his needle storm, and grit his teeth. He grabbed his staff hard, and pulled himself out of the way, and as Tsuya whipped by, he assured a ring-out was imminent... And slammed the staff right into her back as she launched by, the hard bone material slamming right into her spine to assure she wouldn't be able to get back up on her feet after this, and was grinning like a maniac the whole time.

Caleb clapped his hands together at his lips and bowed slightly in traditional Thai salutation. "You fought well. I will admit I had a difficult time working up a strategy to counter your strategy, even though i knew roughly what you would do." He was smiling slightly, his rage replaced with gentleness.

His face went hard as stone for a moment, and his last words were just as hard. "You came with loud words. I came with quiet deeds. I hope you've learned which is louder." Then his face returned to a neutral look and he walked away, ignoring the crowd.

Ru
Ru took a slight step backwards when Miku's first move wasn't to attack, but to enlarge his hands. The boy couldn't do anything, as he simply watched the hands grow an inordinate amount before crashing down before him. In confusion, Ru looked about, eyes full of panic- Miku had built an entire wall to separate him from his opponent. Ru gritted his teeth before shaking his head and snapping back into consciousness, no way he'd go down that easily. As Miku's palm pressed forward rapidly, Ru narrowed his gaze and aimed both his hands at one of the hands- he only needed to stop one. The boy used his enhancing tool that funneled the glue he secreted into a strong stream, he aimed intensely at the base of one of the hands- but it was moving to fast to be caught. With a groan, Ru took his left hand and twisted the machine on his right hand until it folded into a small oval shape. Ru, clearly becoming pressured under the limited time he had to escape, waited only a second to gather his glue before it came out of the oval frame in the shape of a medium sized bubble.
Ru heart beat rapidly as he watched the bubble come into contact with Miku's hand and explode on contact, covering the palm in the sticky secretion so it was forced to stop as it stuck to the floor. Letting out a relieved breath, Ru began to press forward- he took two quick steps towards the stuck hand- planning to climb over it to get to Miku- when his feet suddenly left the floor. It happened so quick he couldn't even see it, he was only a foot away when one of Miku's fingers jutted outwards and made harsh contact with Ru's chest. The taller boy sputtered and let out a short yelp, taken by surprise by the finger. And while he wanted to escape, Ru clung to the tip of the finger- knowing that it was going to fast for him to be able to evacuate safely. In a matter of seconds, the finger stopped and Ru slipped off of it- revealing that his feet were outside of the boundary line. "Damn..." the boy muttered softly as he looked back towards Miku.

Sam
Sam grunted softly when Dakarai grabbed a hold of her thin tail. The girls tail was sensitive, after all it wasn't often that someone just grabbed it- and Dakarai's movements were completely unexpected. Sam smiled as she put more weight into her feet, crouching for better balance. Dakarai had done something Sam hadn't seen out of the girl, growing extra human arms rather than an animal's. Still, even without the brute strength of a beast, Dakarai's extra appendages gave her an immediate advantage. Sam couldn't help but enjoy the challenge, as Dakarai closed to gap- Sam accepted the decrease in distance and waited until the girl was close enough before launching into battle. Sam moved fluidly, one kick after the next- but nothing landed past Dakarai's 8 limb defense. Sam pivoted on her back foot, spinning around to make contact with Dakrai's left side, but the other girl easily blocked with two of her arms, and turned her body to punch with a free arm- Sam flipped backwards to evade the attack. While mid-air Sam felt a tug at the base of her back, and was forced to the floor when Dakarai used the girl's tail to restrain her. Sam got to her feet panting, it was clear Dakarai wasn't using nearly as much energy, she was barely even moving her feet. Sam wiped a bead of sweat from her cheek with her shoulder and braced herself as Dakarai charged forward again, Dakarai obviously wanted to finish things quickly. Sam huffed, allowing Dakarai to get close before she leapt into the air and raised a foot, Sam focused on one of Dakarai's extra limbs, the one that held Sam's tail, rather than her body, landing a hard blow to it's wrist and forcing Dakarai to drop her tail. Sam knew she was vulnerable while in the air, but she had to free her tail- she took the inevitable blow that Dakarai delivered, sending her spinning backwards before her body landed with a thud. Sam pushed herself back up, standing shakily and narrowing her eyes on Dakarai. The pair of friends stood across from each other for an extra moment, and in that time the winner was already clear. Sam's body swayed slightly and she gritted her teeth, Dakarai didn't want to hurt her- she could see it in the other girl's eyes- but she didn't want to lose either. Part of Sam's body was already shutting down, she pushed forward with a groan, not quite ready to accept defeat. Sam, this time, started the barrage of attacks- flinging kicks and punches without any breaks any between. She wasn't weak... or at least she didn't want to be. She didn't want to watch her friends grow stronger while she lagged behind, but in just a short period she felt that Dakarai had improved so much, she was glad for her friend... so why was she still so upset?

Katelyn was taken aback by the venom in Caleb's words, but simply returned it with a smug giggle and a bit of a mocking expression. "Oh Caleb~ you should know that sometimes you should just go gung-ho with everything to piss off your opponent. Matches are more fun against people who are angry and easily slip up, just sayin'~" she said, sticking out her tongue before heading back inside to get bandaged up for real this time.

Later...
With her having been the first out in the first match, Katelyn got to whiteness every match a that followed, until Yuuki was knocked out. It saddened her that she had lost, and with pretty heavy injuries via the electricity... She should probably go and check on her... She entered the medical bay, a little more worried than she should've probably been, and saw Yuuki unconscious on a bed, having her fried arm treated. She let out a sigh, sitting next to the girl and putting a hand on her cheek, waiting to see what would happen...

Tsuya felt the weapon strike her back and grunted but at the same time a large grin plastered her face, this was what she was hoping for, him being cocky, she reached her hands behind her as her regeneration healed her back and grabbed the weapon halting her path and using it as a lever to spin round and let loose a flying kick aimed at Kureiji's head, this was her true last attempt, she was tired but she was desperate for this to work.

Yuuki woke up in the infirmary, somethingnshe found was happening way too much for her liking. She glanced next to her and saw Katelyn, "oh hey Katie, I mean Kate, do you mind Katie or do you prefer Kate" she asked stumblingniver the pointless topic before clearing her throat "well I guess we're both in the losers club, god I'm so annoyed. If my shadows had just been stronger I wouldn't have been blasted back and might have won" she sighed and rubbed the back of her neck "oh yeah um by the way what did you want to do for our date after this festival. I'm not sure what to do so I thiuhhted you might know" she asked getting a little quieter and going a deep shade of red.

As Kureiji felt the kick begin to connect with his cheek, something triggered in his quirk, and he felt his eyes begin to glow a deep green, as the bone staff turned into green dust, releasing Tsuya’s gripping surface, and sent one of his fists barreling into her gut, an armadillo-shell boxing glove having formed around it as he then fell back to the ground, cussing profusely under his breath.

Kate smiled and giggled a little. “Mmmm... either one is fine, I don’t mind... I mean, almost everyone calls me Kate so Katie would be more special or something...” she fell into a Nervous blush and sighed once more. “And yeah, Caleb was strong... I wished I was able to get off a ring out attack at the end... but you know... can’t have everything... and um...” she took one of your hands, and her face heated up once more. “...I mean... we could do it today... and just have a quote-on-quote... ‘Date...’ here... I mean, it may not be the most romantic thing to do on a first date but... uhmmm... I think it could be nice...” she placed her cheek on the back of your hand, allowing you to feel their heat.
