Private/Closed D&P Sign-Ups

Name: Mildred Langley
Age: 24
Personality: Mildred is known for being rough and uncivilized, sporting a rather crude sense of humor and a near insatiable thirst for both battle and drink. And through all of it, she stands by her partner, Dusclops, who she regards as a brother. Over the years, Mildred has built up a reputation as a capable sellsword, having worked as hired muscle for various Lords of various nations. As far as she is concerned, people are only worth their salt if they can swing a sword, serve a drink, or pay in gold. She holds a general lack of regard for those other than herself and her partner, and her mindset can sometimes lead to her being deceived. In Mildred's eyes, it's her and Dusclops against the world.
Appearance: Mildred is about 5'8", with fierce green eyes and ragged red hair that she keeps cut short, leaving it looking akin to a mop draped over her scalp. Her face is rounded, with a large nose and a wide, slightly crooked jaw. Her body is covered in steel plated armor, save for her head, hiding a set of plain wool clothes underneath. Her hands are large and calloused, covered by steel plated gauntlets. With her muscular build, and years of practice, Mildred is able to move well enough to protect herself despite the weight of her armor. She also carries a kite shield mounted on her back, emblazoned with the sigil of the Langley noble family.
Favored Weapon: Mildred carries a spiked flail into battle, allowing her to entangle her enemies, disarm opponents, and crush heavy armor.
Skills: In addition to her skill with her flail, Mildred has also been known to at times abandon her weapon in favor of her fists. She is wild and unpredictable in battle, though not the best at strategy. Her true strength, however, lies in the sibling like bond between Mildred and her partner that allows them to battle in almost perfect sync.

Partner Pokémon: Dusclops
Gender: Male
Armor: Similar to Mildred, Dusclop's body is covered in steel plated armor, save for his legs. In battle, Dusclops will don a large steel helmet, almost giving the illusion of a knight rather than a Pokémon.
Ability: Pressure
Personality: Dusclops, while sharing Mildred's general attitude, is notably much more wary and cautious than her. He is often the one to warn her of possible consequences or risks, and has saved her neck more than once because of this. Even in battle, Dusclops is usually the one to think up battle plans and strategies.
How you met: Dusclops was formerly the Pokemon of a knight that Mildred used to serve. The knight, Sir Harold Langley, was rather cowardly, and often had Dusclops fight almost all of his battles for him, rarely lifting a finger himself. Mildred herself was eventually taught basic combat by her master, resulting in Mildred and Dusclops fighting together whenever their cowardly master was threatened. The two began to bond with one another, sharing a sort of kinship as battle partners. One night their master received a letter calling Sir Langley to a distant castle to offer his services as a warrior. Mildred and Dusclops, baring no love for him, decided that this was their opportunity to escape. While knight was sleeping. Mildred snuck into his tent and stole the letter, a satchel filled with gold, and a shield baring the Langley sigil, and his proof of nobility and knighthood. The two arrived at the castle after a 3 days of straight travel, where Mildred took the name "Langley" for herself, and they began their careers as wandering mercenaries.

(This RP looks like it's going to be so amazing!)

Knights Reliquary

Name: Mason Kendrick

Age: 20

Personality:

Intuitive yet mild, Mason is a kind and subdued soul that tends to balance out the tension of those around himself. Though he primarily tends to prefer his own company to strangers, most people he meets are charmed by the boy's sweet spirit and calming voice, arguably some of his greatest strengths. Mason has a great talent for reading the current environment and adapting to new situations with ease. This also extends to his eventual potential relationships with other people, as he can bolster the moods of people in his vicinity with his refined personality.

However, Mason is definitely more complex under the surface. He always looks for way to improve himself, yet even so, he often keeps his problems and conflicts to himself and may come across as standoffish. Because of this, he does have some issues 'letting people in,' so to speak. Mason trusts his instincts above all else, as they have never turned him the wrong direction. He is not afraid or completely unwilling to take less morally righteous actions should the occasion be absolutely necessary.

Mason is definitely more go-with-the-flow, but he isn't afraid to give voice to his concerns. He is determined yet mild, understated yet spirited, a layered individual who only opens up to those willing to take the time and get to know him on a deeper level. However, once you have his trust, you have a loyal and trusting companion for life.

Appearance:

Mason stands at 5'11", his frame made of strong, lean muscle under caramel-tinted skin. Short, dark-brown hair, green-blue eyes, and a small vertical scar across his left eyebrow adorn his head and face.

When called for duty, Mason wears a simple white shirt with protective black leather-lined body armor on top in the form of a steel chestplate and bracers for his forearms. His pants are loose enough to allow for swift movement and to keep him cool during long journeys. Completing the look are a pair of black boots, light enough to keep him quick but very durable, which cover his shins very well.

Favored Weapon:

Dual wields two twelve-inch long Colichemarde daggers, 'Dawn and Dusk'. Each blade was forged wide at the forte then steeped down or narrowed for the rest of its length before ending in a wicked point, them to be used to parry or oppose even the heaviest weapons without breaking, yet remain light and supple enough to take full advantage of the lightning quick point. Occasionally used by Mason as throwing knives. The hilt of both feature a decorative, yet highly functional, double shell guard, complete with finger loops and knuckle bow, while the grip is completely wire wrapped and capped with a matching pommel.

Skills??:

The baron Robert Kendrick, having been a proud rags-to-riches knight before Mason, taught his only son everything he knew from a young age. As the only male after his father in a family of five belonging to minor nobility, Mason was imparted with the knowledge necessary to survive in battle, the wilderness, and court. His access to good education allowed him to grow up with the histories and proper customs of Amoria, but he was also taught to have a strong sense of individualism, critical thinking, and cunning. His innate good nature, looks, and friendly mannerisms let him get close to whomever he wishes, making him an effective persuader or even spy.

Trained in combat since childhood, Mason is very quick and agile, and his surprising strength often takes opponents by surprise. Though he was taught to wield a variety of weapons, he much prefers the reflexive movements required by daggers, but he has also honed his accuracy to the extent that his secondary weapon would be a bow. Without weapons, he is also considerably adept at hand-to-hand combat. However, Mason's endurance certainly requires work, and though he can take hits very well it would only take a well-placed attack or two to keep him down. His relative inexperience and youth compared to other knights may also get the better of him at times as well.

His motto when it comes to fighting is simple: End it quickly and effectively, no matter what it takes.

Hunting and cooking are also passions of his.

Partner Pokémon:
Freya, the Haxorus

Gender: Female

Armor: Thanks to the Haxorus species' naturally occurring armor, all she really needs to wear is a sleek black breastplate that covers her soft underbelly.

Ability: Mold Breaker

Personality:

Solid armor, imposing and threatening stature, razor sharp claws, and of course enormous axe-like tusks impose fear into the hearts of the inexperienced. On the battlefield, this Haxorus can be found amidst the densest piles of shredded victims, employing each and every attack at her disposal to tear down enemies with bloodthirsty hunger. There is absolutely no kill like overkill.

As a token of her species, however, Freya is usually very docile, friendly, and even playful... once her trust is gained. Her relationship with her trainer is almost mirror-like, as the two tend to gravitate towards solitude whenever able and are annoyed easily, though her case may directly stem from natural Haxorus territorialism. This nature tends to extend towards loved ones as well, increasing her drive to protect and possibly accounting for her savagery in battle.

How you met:

December the 11th marked Mason Kendrick's birthday, the annual event always being a decadent affair at Kendrick Manor. Despite the small gathering of attendees, mostly family, the baron never spared expense in preparing for his children's birthdays. On that day, five years ago specifically, fifteen year old Mason spent his time happily with his family, sharing amazing food with grandparents, aunts and uncles, and playing games with his cousins and two younger sisters. He always enjoyed days like these, where he could just enjoy life and relax, breaking the monotony of training and studying as his father groomed him for knighthood. Throughout the years he couldn't help but develop a growing resentment towards the man, one which he hated to admit. He only wanted what was best for Mason after all, and he certainly appreciated his standard of living, but... he felt trapped, alone. Being closer to his mother, Claudia, he had often spoken with her about his feelings, but she only urged him to hold on. "It's going to be okay," she would say. "Everything will work out for the best."

As Mason found out that day, she was right. His fifteenth birthday was drawing to a close, and he had just received what he thought was his final gift: a pair of gorgeous, lethal Colichemarde daggers from his father, imported from and perfectly forged by some of the best smiths in Amoria. His mother had one surprise for him, though, and after all the guests had left she handed him a glass display case with a beautiful dark green, black striped egg on a cushion within. She had given him a partner, someone he could share life with. A few days later, the egg hatched and the cutest little Axew emerged; since then, Mason and Freya were basically inseparable, training together, fighting together, growing together.

@Orion778 you sure are getting a lot of compliments.

Found a way to represent some dialect in Scottish. Words with the letter 'r' are rolled one time and the symbol for that is /r/. Like "b/r/ight /r/ed".

Well I'm late to this party but here goes nothing! ^.^

Name: Flora Levitan
Age: 20
Personality: Sweet, conniving, and very loyal. She can have quite a temper but has a very inconspicuous nature.
Appearance: With reddish-violet hair that reaches the small of her back and leaf green eyes in a gentle, heart shaped face, Flora is a natural beauty. Her kind smile, expressive eyes, and soft voice often make her come across as harmless when she is anything but. An assassin for the king, she is brought in to deal with any threats to the kingdom that the royal family doesn't want the people knowing about. With the plentiful living the royals provide her with in the capital city, she runs an apothecary and medical center from her large home; even going so far as looking for effective cures for pokemon poison when it is a human who is afflicted. She typically wears a jade green dress that has a slit along her left leg and black flats. She keeps a small, pale pink lily in her hair, behind her right ear.
Favored Weapon: Poison Darts
Skills: She strikes from afar with poison darts with a marksmen's ability. She is also an amazing medic; he knowledge of medicine only rivaled by her knowledge of venom and poisons.

Partner Pokémon: Nidoking (Tank)
Gender: Male....what a surprise that Nidoking is a boy :p
Armor: He has a metal helmet, arm guards, and chest plate. His back has a light coating of chain-mail attached to a thin strip of armor that spreads out into a shield over his tail.
Ability: Poison Point
Personality: Extremely loyal and protective, Tank is the type to attack first and ask questions later. However, no matter how foolish or misguided they may be, he follows Flora's orders to the letter; this has made him learn patience and tolerance, even though his temper is still quiet atrocious.
How you met: While searching the woods for medicinal herbs, Flora found Tank as a Nidoran; he was nearly dead from sickness. She brought him home and nursed him back to health. She tried to return him to the wild but the little guy followed her back home. He refused to leave her and Flora eagerly welcomed the new companion.

Knights Reliquary

Name: Sir Edwin Krelik
Age: 34
Personality: Edwin is the type to charge into battle head on, but still keep his defence up when needed. He is a well rounded fighter, and uses his intelligence when trying to keep others alive. He is very charismatic and will try to motivate people. He will never back down from a fight.
Appearance: Slightly greyed hair from age. Has a nice full trimmed beard. He is muscular all around. He wears a full heavy steel set of armour, with no engravings.
Favored Weapon: Edwin prefers a sleek steel sword and a big round shield. The shield and sword have the same look and style as an Aegislash.
Skills??: He was trained in swordplay since he was a young lad. He trains with his Aegislash and almost never wins against it.

Partner Pokémon: Aegislash
Gender: Male
Armor?: already has what it needs
Ability: Stance Change
Personality: Very protective of Edwin. It loves to fight and train. Very dull(haha terrible sword pun) and doesn't do much unless It's in the heat of battle. It is a sword and shield after all.
How you met: Edwin had been training with Aegislash since he was a boy. Aegislash was a Honedge back then, and as they both started to progress in their swordsmanship and athletic prowess, it evolved, allowing them to train even further.

You know you're a real Pokemon master when you actually use the Aegislash as a weapon instead of as a Pokemon. Got some Excalibur stuff going on here.

Name:
Æthelflæd "Aether" Hyll
Pronounced as: "EE-thel-FLEED" for Æthelflæd, and "EE-ther" for Aether.

Ethnicity:
British

Age:
23 years

Personality:
Very vain and wishes for all things shiny to be in her possession. Despite this greed and vanity, she can be nice, but only if it helps her in any way possible. The only creature she is very genuinely nice towards is her partner Pokemon, Salazzle, whom she gives trinkets, odds and ends to her and will even kill for her.
She is very selfish and will only help others if she gets anything out of it. She is very headstrong and stubborn, and uses her body to get what she wants if talking doesn't get her anywhere.
She is very cunning, and when she doesn't get what she wants she outright attacks them. This causes her to be in a lot of trouble. She is also not afraid to hurt anyone who steals her gems, makes her appearance look bad (even as little as ruffling her hair or cutting just a strand off) or hurts her partner. She'll even maim another person's personal partner Pokemon for doing any of the above.
Since she's not that strong... This could be pretty bad... For both her and the opponent.

Appearance:
She has white hair in a spiky bob, shiny red/purple eyes, and a very pale skin coloration due to being an albino. She paints her face black to avoid people seeing her easily. She is quite skinny, due to her wearing a corset almost all the time. She has lung problems from this, causing her to have a lowered stamina than what's average for a thief like her. Her voice sounds beautiful, but when she's angry it turns into a more sadistic, raspy tone.

Apparel:
She wears a black, leather corset, which hugs more black, leather cloth on to her frame. This "cloth" resembles a jacket, and has little pads on the shoulders and forearms, with the forearm pads being stronger than the shoulders. She has dark grey gloves covering her hands with just the tips of the fingers cut off, so she can adeptly pick locks or do other actions that require dexterity with the fingers. She has numerous belts wrapped around her shoulder and waists, with a sheath for both her weapons to rest on her hips. She is also wearing pitch-black tights that have pads on her knees, breaking her fall if she ever does fail to roll when landing. Her boots are black and leathery, so they don't make a lot of sound when sneaking around. Every inch of this cloth has engravings she burnt into the leather, giving this sort of mystical vibe when there is none. The engravings are reminiscent to an ancient harems' symbols.

Favored Weapon:
A silver Parrying Dagger and a steel Rapier for duels. She also has four throwing daggers: two sheathed on her hips and one in each boot. She is a good shot with her non-dominant hand (Right hand), but forgets about this and uses her dominant (Left hand) to throw... Ending in hilarious and/or painful results.

Skills??:
Having the sixth sense, so she can "see" other alive beings around her. This skill only works when she is in the same room, looking into said room, or when they are 2 meters (~6' 5") away from her current location. This will only work if the beings have a heart and a brain. Other Pokemon, like Aegislash and other constructs, are unable to be seen with her ability. She is unable to use this ability when angry, in distress, or is too caught up in her own looks.
Her other skills that aren't at all mystical are her flexibility, ability to use her environment to get away, and is good at parkour. Isn't very fast, but can easily dodge and weave in thick bushes to get away from pursuers. Will get caught if she's just running in a straight line with nothing to weave around or jump on.
Not that great when it comes to sword play, but is very good at cheap shots with her parrying dagger, and loves to fence. She will even fake an attack to throw one of her daggers at the foe, aiming specifically for the knee.
("I used to be an adventurer like you, until I took an arrow to the knee." XD I'm sorry, I love Skyrim.)

Partner Pokémon:
Salazzle

Name:
Amethyst (changed name from Dazzle)

Gender:
Female

Armor?:
Has a black, shiny helmet engraved with hearts with little wings shaped like they are on fire on the sides of her helmet. She has more black, leathery armor on her body, accentuating her features with more carvings one would see in an ancient harem. The little "ribbons" waving from her back have little leather strips on the end, so she can whip others when she wants attention or to annoy others.

Ability:
Corrosion (This ability is used quite often to poison the armor of their pursuers, or to break into banks)

Personality:
As vain as her partner, but helps to keep Aether out of trouble whenever her hotheadedness gets them into fights. She is quite greedy and sometimes will use her partner's undying loyalty to get what she wants. It seems like she's the one in control of the duo, and not the human. Because of this and Aether's stubbornness, they do tend to get into fights, which causes them to be in an even bigger pickle than what they had originally been in. They will even fight during a duel or a battle with someone else, if they don't agree with what the other wants them to do.

How you met:
Aether found Salazzle as a Salandit when Salandit was being auctioned off in an unknown town in Amoria. She really wanted a Pokemon and saw that there was only one way to get one. After midnight, she sneaks in to find Salandit's cage and lockpicks her way to freedom. After Salandit was freed, she took her chance to run away. Aether then was in a wild goose chase trying to catch this fast and surprisingly agile Salandit.
After 4 hours of non-stop running around and little intervals for breaks, she finally pounced on top of the rascally Pokemon. She asks Salandit to become her partner in her crazy adventures. Salandit thought for a moment, and since this nonsensical lady was chasing her around for so long, she decides to join her. Ever since, they've been in a number of scams, debauchery, and robberies that made their friendship grow strong.
Salandit has since evolved into a Salazzle, and will use her pheromones to get them out of some heated trouble with the guards. Her pheromones will have no effect if the guards are female, genderless, gay men, or if she is upset or angry.

Oh, yay, thank you :D They will be a very comical group XD The lady I made kind of reminds me of Jessie's silly moments XD and how she quarrels with James, whose, I guess, Salazzle in a way. That was very unintentional, but eh XD

EDIT: Also, @Braytim the Honedge line do have genders because they are supposed to be possessed by the spirits of the knights, whom lost their souls in battle. The dead knights possessed their swords and began sucking the life force out of any who wield them because they want to have their life back and think that's the only way to get back to their happiness. They have a 50/50 chance of being either male or female. Now, since your Aegislash is particularly fond of you, and the soul-sucking power is very hard to control and suppress as to not accidentally suck your soul away and kill you, Aegislash could only be wielded (with its ribbon floating in the wind or dangling like a party streamer) for a short period of time. If you wield your Pokemon for a longer duration of time than what is recommended, you will slowly start to feel your energy leave your body. This is just a suggestion, but it follows the lore of the Pokemon.

EDIT #2: The more I think about my character, the more I want to keep adding to it XD I've already done at least 8 edits on my darn characters XD

EDIT #3: Finally finished XD My character sheet is completely done!

This will more than likely start Sunday evening (USA Eastern Time). Im trying to get special permissions from the staff, and I have to work a lot on the weekends.

<.>Just messing with you. It's Mega, right? Man, Ganastyr sure is gonna hate all you young people.

Will the RP be about journeying to where the darkness is starting with the cavalry of knights or something entirely different. I'm trying to formulate some things for my character. Also, will we be starting the plot by introducing ourselves to the king? I think that would be a great way to get the ball rolling.8) So many ideas...

You will be actively seeking out the source of the darkness. Naturally there will be a plethora of side quest and other stuff to keep you distracted.

It's advisable for you to work together with the other knights.

And yes. We will start the RP with all of you being Knighted.

@PentaSlayz @_rb3 , thank you both! I'm really glad to be a part of this RP, and look forward to writing with you guys. Apologies for the late reply, for some reason I wasn't watching this thread.

Um.. I'm a thief XD I guess I can be knighted in theatrical swordplay, but my character is definitely unable to be a knight XD
and sorry for not being here earlier. I had a job to do in life XD
