I suppose I should clarify what I mean. Whenever I look into joining a roleplay, I imagine my character as a color. I try to figure out whether or not this color will add anything to the preexisting palette and enhance the whole picture by warping itself and others through conflict and interaction. I don't feel that the colors I can add will be able to do that.

That said, I would be honored to join, provided everyone is alright with it. If what you say is true, I am excited to be proven wrong. Still, I am content to just watch, considering the situation.

I see what you mean, and yeah, the anime humanizes pokemon in terms of their actions, and why shouldn't they? Their creatures in their own world, and their origins are not yet fully explored. Because of how intelligent Pokemon are portrayed, nearly every Pokemon character appearing in the show CAN understand human language. Newly caught Pokemon with no prior training to even wild pokemon.

They can respond to even the most complex yes-no questions and can even lead the way when asked for directions. If they could, they would be speaking with humans easily.

And yeah, they were a little dull with appearances back when. They've gotten better with it recently in my opinion!

It's still a case of laziness to me. Sure everything would be much easier with Pokemon of that intelligence, but the fact is, not all of them are supposed to act that human. Heck, if they were, they wouldn't be living in tall grass! They'd have conquered us long ago. Their animal-like characteristics is what makes the franchise so appealing to me, as opposed to Digimon. It's more realistic.

Nah, to be honest, I'm kinda like that too. Although, I'm more prone to forgetting conversations that I've read but decided to reply later to, and then a while later I think, "Hey wasn't I having this interesting discussion with xxx?" And I go back to read it again and realize I forgot to reply to it. If I have, then I'd take pleasure in just rereading the whole thing again.
