Lucas
Lucas' had just finished slipping his hoodie on when he heard a now familiar cry coming from Gwenerys, not that he had a better understanding of the words. Now dressed in her own hero costume she was floating outside the window of classroom A, apparently oblivious to the fact that there were still guys changing in the room. Or at least Lucas' hoped she was oblivious, just because he'd managed to slip into most of his outfit didn't mean that Tetsu and Wade had managed to do the same. To be fair he felt a little bad for the other boys anyway, for some reason Yukino was still changing in their room? Lucas had isolated himself to one corner of the room anyway but it was certainly odd. Gwenerys' regal appearance was stronger than ever though, hovering outside the window like that, red cape flowing in the wind, one of those little masquerade masks on her face. Admittedly the whole ensemble was pretty cool, with an easy to recognise style that would come in handy if she ever made it as a pro hero.

"Well since your offering I suppose it would be rude of me to turn you down." Lucas' shrugged, snagging the final piece of his hero outfit from the table as he walked over to the window. He took the time to put the steel mask on before putting a foot on the window sill, glancing over the edge to glimpse how high up they were. Not that he had a fear of falling, his quirk prevented such things being a problem. Braced against the window sill as he was it wasn't a particularly hard task to step out onto the board but all the same he took his time with it, making a small and calculated jump to land himself beside Gwenerys. Thanks to the addition of his weight the board sunk a bit in the air, enough so that Lucas' Instinctively reached out and braced himself off Gwenerys who was clearly much more at home with this whole flying surfboard ordeal than he was.

"I uh....sorry." He muttered in way of apology, unsure how the snowy haired waif would respond to any from of contact due to her regal act. He grimaced behind his mask at the thought that this might actually be some heinous sin he had just committed against the "queen" but reasoned with himself that although she may seem to think extremely highly of herself this was all just for fun so he would probably be let off the hook.

"Here let me help." said Lucas, an idea popping into his head. He crouched down on the board careful not lose his balance and placed his open palm on it, a flurry of green sparks running down his arm and into the wood. Moments later Gwenerys would feel the weight of her burden lighten significantly, he had reduced the density of the board as much as possible without compromising it's ability to actually support them. Straitening back up he gave one of his little half smiles, pleased with his work.

"Shall we then your highness?"

Alice

With raw excitement fuelling each of her steps Alice arrived at urban simulation D rather quickly, wide eyes greedily taking in the impressive training area. It really was if some giant in the sky had plucked a slab of city from somewhere and placed it right here on the school grounds. There was already a small gathering assembled here and as she made her way over to them she could see that the group were gathered around Mr Busch who stood before a large screen built into a wall. Alice trotted over, a little bit more reserved now that she was back in front of everybody. And they all looked so great as well, they could be a group of pro heroes if she didn't know better!

Pulling her gaze away from the variety of interesting outfits her classmates were wearing she directed it instead at the screen, taking in the information it displayed.

Team 1. Wade and Lucas
Team 2. MJ and Jihyo
Team 3. Yukino and Gwenrhian
Team 4. Gweneira and Tetsu
Team 5. Alice and Gwenerys

The aim of this exercise is for one team, the "Hero" team to retrieve a fake nuclear weapon from the other team the "Villains". You will receive a score based on your efficiency, team work and damage to structure.

Alice couldn't help but grin, first day of school and she was already gonna get a chance to exercise her quirk and have some proper fun. That being said she couldn't afforded not to take these situations seriously, they were important after all, an essential part of the training that would mould her into a pro hero. She would have to put her game face on and strive for the top. But she thought to herself, placing her hands on her hips as she looked around at the rest of the group I'm gonna have fun trying to kick your asses.

Addressing the group Mr Busch announced that he would explain the rest of the rules when everybody else arrived.

Both MJ and Yukino got their costumes ready and headed out of the respective classrooms they were in at the same time. Both then looked at each other, Yukino with a big, goofy grin on her face while MJ looked dazed and confused.

"Um....Yukino, why were you in that classroom?" MJ asked the muscular girl.

Yukino looked at MJ confused, and responded, "What do you mean? I was obviously in there to change into my hero costume. Now come on, we have no time to waste!" Yukino then bolted out of the hallways and into the room where the hero training will commense.

MJ just stared in disbelief, but quickly got over it and headed into the same direction.

Once in the training area, MJ looked at the board to see her partner was Jihyo. The angelic student who she had spoken to not so long ago. They were both Mutant type quirk users, which just might make it useful if they were in a combat situation, but MJ would have to plan everything out before she made any decisions on what to do in the test.

Yukino then also looked at who her partner was, and was excited. Gwenrhian is that girl who can enhance her senses, right!? This is going to make finding the villain or hero so much easier, as she will know where they are! And with my physically strong quirk, we'd be unstoppable! Yukino was getting pumped!

Gwenerys

Every Monarch truly desired competent subordinates, those that were intelligent and could read between the lines. Clearly, Lucas was one such person. Even without explicit mentioning he'd already picked up on Gwenerys' intentions and acted accordingly. Feeling the strain on her quirk decreasing rapidly, Gwenerys was ecstatic! She'd almost thrown her arms around Lucas and squished him in her embrace, when she abruptly froze, realized her actions weren't very 'monarch-like'. She gave a few short coughs, clearing her throat before she settled back down, acting like nothing had happened. She simply opted to pick up the conversation where it'd been left, "We shall!"

Gwenerys' idea of 'a simple trip to Urban block D' wasn't quite as simple as it sounded; involving an adrenaline fueled display or aerial acrobatics that wasn't for the faint of heart, or the faint of stomach. Luckily, she hadn't eaten lunch yet as she herself thought the aerial escapades would've made her lose it- not that she would've ever admitted the fact to anyone though- but the slight paleness on her face showed that she didn't quite enjoy that 'trip' as much as she thought she would've. Especially not after they hit the first bird.

Despite having given herself a minor traumatic experience, she'd been far from deterred. She'd experienced much worst when she'd tried to apply her quirk to her own body when she was younger in an attempt to fly which lead to the usage of the surfboard instead. Although she'd been able to control the trajectory of her body, her lack of fine-tuned control had lead to her spinning in every conceivable direction while tracing an unstable flight path through the air. The disorientation that followed all that spinning had only served to distort her judgement even further and her short 'flight' became much more erratic. The experiment had ended with Gwenrhian pulling her out of a tree and had been locked away as part of Gwenerys' 'dark history' which she swore to take with her to the grave.

When the duo had finally arrived at Urban block D, Gwenerys' had looked slightly less 'presentable' but not by much. They'd arrived with time to spare, neither being the first to arrive, but also not having been the last. Noting that her sisters had already arrived Gwenerys' next looked to the large screen that currently displayed their pairings. 'Alice...the new girl' Gwenerys' glanced around, swiftly identifying the reptilian girl who stood with her hands akimbo and expression of...was it confidence? or just smugness? Well, whatever it was, Gwenerys liked it, the girl seemed to have spunk, and she could respect that.

Jihyo arrived to the training area with her hero suit on. She was trying to break it in as the clothing is still a bit tight as it was her first time wearing it after all. Being one of the last to arrive, she sees the board with everyone and their assigned partners. Jihyo was taken aback that her partner was MJ. Not necessarily with a negative connotation, she was just shocked her first partner would be her first friend she m ade in school. Or at least she hoped they were friends.

It was ironic too. They both held onto Mutant-Type quirks, Jihyo with her angel wings and MJ was her spider legs. Surely they duo would work well together as one can fly while the other can practically traverse anywhere from the ground. But statistically, they weren't all that great either. The other teams were solid too. The advantage that Jihyo and MJ had were basically mobility and speed, but that's really it.

If they were to win, they would really have to outplay their opponents. Maybe MJ and her brains would have something useful for the two to work on together and carry out their roles properly.

Lucas

Upon arriving at Urban Simulation D Lucas stepped off the surfboard only to almost collapse, the world still spinning around his head. If it weren’t for the mask concealing his face it would be clear to anyone that his complexion was now distinctly tinged with green. He stood there, hands resting on his knees fighting to keep his breakfast in his stomach. Glancing at Gwenerys, who was already inspecting the teams and apparently just fine, he couldn’t help but feel maybe she was crazy after all. So many flips, so fast…those poor birds… at least it was over now. He would certainly think twice before hitching a ride with Gwenerys again, he wasn’t sure his body could take another journey like that. Even the rush-hour trains were more comfortable than becoming the human equivalent of an arrow flying through the sky.

Steeling himself for a moment Lucas managed to straighten up and inspect the electronic board and his nausea was quickly replaced with a strong sense of determination. Their first head to head challenge huh? This would certainly pick the strong from the weak. Of course the nature of these exercises meant that certain quirks would just be more useful than others, just because something was useless here doesn’t mean it isn’t powerful in its own right. Luckily for Lucas his quirk was quite adaptable and he was already running down a mental checklist of ways he could utilise it here.

There was another factor to consider of course. They weren’t going into this alone. Running down the list of names Lucas spotted his own beside that of Wade, one of the new kids. Well that was already a slight issue. He had no idea what Wade was capable of so this was going to come down to a quirk pot luck, hopefully his partner was packing some serious heat. Some of the other teams were looking pretty formidable, it would be a shame for him to have to take a loss just because he’d been paired up with someone less capable than himself.

However before Lucas could go over and introduce himself to his red haired companion the booming sound of Mr Busch’s voice drowned out those of the students.

Alright kids, time to announce who you will be going up against today!”

And with that the list of teams on the board changed, utilising a smooth little animation in the transition.

Villain / Hero

Team 1 vs Team 3

Team 4 vs Team 5

Team 2 vs Team???

“We are starting with Team 1 vs Team 3, get to it guys! Lucas, Wade, you two get to the bomb room, you’ll have a few minutes to set up before we send Yukino and Gwenrhian in after you. Play nice guys, although this is a serious training exercise we don’t want any serious injuries.” Mr Busch explained, laughing heartily at his own joke, large pink clade chest heaving as he did so.

Lucas set off as soon the explanation was over, striding into the building that housed the fake bomb with purpose in each step. It was by no means a small tower, easily about 6 floors high. The interior was pretty barren though, simple metal floors and walls, a few tables and chairs scattered in a couple of the rooms. The only lighting was provided by fluorescent strip lights in the ceiling, adequate but not particularly bright, leaving enough dark corners to hide in if you needed to. Upon arriving at the bomb room itself Lucas wasn’t surprised to see it was as empty as the rest of the building. Its only contents were 4 large stone pillars and the bomb itself, a comically shaped metal rocket which stood upright atop 3 bright red fins. Not a lot of cover should a foe with a ranged quirk come for them. Luckily they seemed few and far between in this class. Resting against one of the stone pillars Lucas’ mind shifted to today’s foes. Yukino and Gwenrhian. Yukino was clearly a physical force to be reckoned with, even without her quirk she looked as if she could deck the rest of the class with ease if it came to a fist fight. Her quirk might actually be her downfall here though, he wasn’t quite sure yet but he had a feeling that he might be able to alter her density if she wasn’t flesh and bone. That theory would have to be field tested. Gwenrhian was a little bit trickier to get a hold on. Her quirk wasn’t flashy and so he still didn’t have a particularly good grasp on what she was actually capable of. His own quirk had been quite clearly put on display during the physical exam so she held the advantage there. But thought Lucas as Wade walked into the room nobody knows what your quirk is either. You’re going to be our ace.

“Alright Wade we haven’t got a lot of time here so let’s make this quick. I can control the density of objects I touch, provided they aren’t made of flesh and as long as they remain in my field of view. What about you? What’s your quirk?”

Alice

Down on the ground Mr Busch had moved the non-participating students into a kind of viewing room that showed every floor of the bomb building via a series of cameras and monitors. The screen also displayed other useful information such as the names of those participating and what the teams were.

Alice had taken a moment to try and grasp the layout of the bomb building but it was proving difficult through the cameras, all the corridors and rooms were practically identical and trying to construct a mental map was beginning to make her head spin. She couldn’t afford to develop a headache before her own match, that would result in a loss for sure, she could barely conjure up a fake apple if she was unable to concentrate. So instead she turned her attention to her team mate, one of the three triplets. The trio were certainly eye catching thanks to the colour of their hair and skin so it wasn’t hard to pick Gwenerys out from the crowd of students milling around the viewing room. It would do them to get to know one another a little bit before the match, at the very least figure out if they had compatible quirks.

The other reason that Alice was so glad to have an excuse to talk to the girl was that she was eager to make some friends here, it wasn’t a pleasant feeling being alone this far from home. Not that she would ever admit it. Friends were nice but she’d gone without them before after all. What friends you made on the streets didn’t tend to stick around very long, Alice had learnt that the hard way. Looking around the room though everybody here seemed to be getting along pretty well despite only knowing each other for a day or two. Maybe she’d lucked out and got a class full of genuinely nice people. Or perhaps they’d all be at each other’s throats the moment the competitive stuff actually began. Ah well, she’d know soon enough.

“Gwenerys right? I saw your arrive on that surfboard today, pretty cool stuff I gotta admit. Looking forward to working with you.” She said, sliding up beside her teammate with a genuinely warm smile on her face that showed off her slightly sharper than usual canines, hand outstretched so that it could be shook.

Gwenrhian

Silently, Gwenrhian pushed her senses to the limit, her eyes and ears attempting to track just how far up the tower the duo of Lucas and Wade had gone. Silhouettes flashing past windows, and the faint echo of footsteps were her sources of information, and not very reliable ones at that. Although she was able to somewhat track them, once they'd entered the second floor she could no longer track them with any semblance of accuracy. But that was fine, at the very least she knew they were above the second floor, and she would be able to save herself the trouble of searching through those two floors.

Deciding that it would be of no further use to stand there straining her eyes and ears, Gwenrhian slipped over toward her partner, Yukino. They looked rather mismatched next to each other, Yukino being a full half-foot taller than the silver hair girl, and her waifish figure completely dwarfed by Yukino's rather muscular build. A closer glance at Yukino's biceps left Gwenrhian a bit startled as they appeared to be larger than her thighs. However, that wasn't really important right now. Lucas and Wade had but a few brief moments to get to the bomb room and strategize and likewise, she and Yukino would have the same amount of time to put together a gameplan... and she already had one in mind.

"We haven't really talked till now, but let's not let that get in the way. We don't know what Wade's quirk is but I've got a decent grasp on what Lucas is capable of. I think I'd still be up for a bit of 'recon' though... Anyway, we'll need to work a game-plan and I think I've got a good one in mind..."

Gwenerys

A look of pity flashed across Gwenerys' face as she sent off the duo of Lucas and Wade with her eyes. Both she and Gweneira knew that their eldest sister was... what would commonly be referred to as a thrill-seeker, and her favorite activity, the one she got the most thrill out of, was combat. She'd definitely seek out some way to confront them, even if that wasn't the objective of the exercise. She'd wanted to tip off Lucas... but he'd been a bit too hasty, and was gone before she knew it... she'd give him an earful later...

Lost in the inner workings of her mind, Gwenerys was awoken by a faintly familiar voice. As she snapped back to attention, she was greeted with an outstretched hand and a pair of sharpened fangs. An expression of wonderment on her face, Gwenerys inspect the girl's hand briefly, before shaking it just as briefly. The duration of her inspection and handshake couldn't have been more than serval seconds. Upon releasing her classmate's hand, she pinched the corners of her cape-like scarf and rose it as if they were the frills on a dress, she then stepped back before bending into a curtsy, her more preferred form of greeting. "Thanks, the pleasure will be mine." She beamed at the scaly girl, and her teammate, before her eyes flickered towards the screen and their would-be opponents, "but we've got a tough battle ahead of us... if we're not careful it'll be too late for regrets."Although she'd been all smiles whilst greeting Alice, her face soon fell into a grimace. Nevertheless, it loosened up just as swiftly, her expression changing along with her focus "I could... take you for a ride if you're interested? It's a promise if we win."

Yukino looked at Gwenrhian, and heard what the silver-haired girl had to say. Yukino wanted to win this, so she'll basically do anything, except cheating, to do so.

MJ then went up to Jihyo, and whispered to her, "We are going to need to be villains for our match, but what gives us a disadvantage compared to everybody else is that we don't know who we're facing up against and their quirk. Though, I have a plan. It'll be incredibly difficult to pull it off, but it'll work extremely well on our favor."

Wade listened with crossed arms as he was paired with Luca and then told he was first up in his exercise. And the icing on the cake, was that his team was playing the role of the villains. No very heroic, but it still was something important. He kept his silence as he examined the other students, primarily their opponents. He didn't know anything about their quirks, so hopefully Lucas could fill them in. He walked towards the bomb room. He wasn't surprised by the simplicity of the room. It was almost completely barren, mind the few tables, chairs, pillars and the large mock missile in the room. He examined the room, thinking of a plan, when Lucas told him of his quirk. The ability to control the density of an object. Interesting.

"I can fire laser beams from my hands." Wade said, before scratching his chin. "Okay, so I'm thinking we get a game plan going. I can slice apart the ceiling into bits and to give you a bunch of rubble. You can stay here when the game starts and I can track them from behind. When they get close, I'll get their attention and attempt to divert them away from here. If that fails and the heroes get here, you got some projectiles to throw using your quirk. And if you get down to much trouble, I can use my lasers as a way to move myself forward, and take the missile to the next floor, providing you make it light using your quirk. I think our game plan should be based upon keeping them off our trail. What do you think, or do you have other idea?" Wade finished his idea, and crossed his arms examining Lucas to see what his reaction would be.

Lucas listened intently to what Wade had to say, mulling over the red haired boy's scheme in his head. His partner's quirk was simple by nature but it was effective with a strong offensive presence. He could certainly have been paired with somebody worse, Wade was at least intelligent enough to have already come up with a plan off the top of his head. Considering that he'd neglected to mention their opponents quirks he probably wasn't aware of them, he was new after all.

"Keeping the bomb away from them rather than keeping it in the room...an interesting concept. But yes I could see it working. I'm also pretty hard to get past if I increase my density. If you get to work making me some projectiles I'll link my quirk with the missile." He suggested after a few moments silence, making his way over to the big hunk of metal they were defending.

"Yukino's quirk won't be of any use when it comes to mobility, she can transform herself into any material she touches. Luckily for us this might enable me to use my quirk on her. Gwenrhian on the other hand...well I'm not sure of the details of her quirk. It doesn't seem very flashy whatever it is." He explained, running his fingers over the metal of the fake explosive. A swarm of green sparks quickly engulfed it before sinking into its surface and vanishing.

Just as the last of the sparks disappeared from sight a strong German voice rang out inside the building, projecting from various speakers around the building. It was of course the jovial tones of Mr Busch.

"Alright teams, your time begins now. Best of luck!"

Lucas turned to face the entrance of the room, determination burning in his eyes beneath his mask. They could win this. Their plan was solid, solid as it could be with so little time to prepare. He clapped his hands together once, satisfied with the resulting shower of green sparks. Time to put on a show.

Gwenrhian

Exchanging glances with Yukino, she spoke, "I'll work on finding the bomb and then we can enact the plan." She paused for a moment, her lips curling into a smirk, "If you encounter them then go all out, all the noise will make it much easier to find you." Pushing off and into a light jog, Gwenrhian scanned the building with her eyes and activated her quirk. He thought process sped up as she ran through conjectures in her mind. 'They definitely weren't on the first two floors, there's no way the bomb would be somewhere so accessible...would it?' She'd seen a silhouette flash past one of the windows in the second floor, but she couldn't be certain it was them, as opposed to her eyes simply playing tricks on her or any
miscellaneous item that could be present in the building. All she knew about the terrain was that it was Urban, and while that did help it wasn't very specific. Was the building a set of apartments? and office? maybe it was a store? Either way, she would find out the minute she stepped into the building, or in her case, onto the building. But, even before all that, she swept up a few rocks off the ground and into her hand.

With a plan in mind, she leaped to the first windowsill, the fingers on her left hand clutching tightly onto the small ledge, and her legs somewhat supporting her weight. She scaled her way up the building, in what looked like a mix of parkour and mountain climbing. For each location where there was nothing to grab onto, she'd stab a dagger into the building and leave it as a foothold. Soon enough she'd made a ladder of windowsill and dagger handles that lead to the 3rd floor. As she lingered below the third floor's window, she tossed a rock inside, shattering the glass. She listened carefully, redirecting most of her quirk to her senses. If they'd been in that room or near enough to hear the glass shattering they'd react and that reaction was what she was listening out for. She waited... hearing neither the shuffle of footsteps nor the rhythm of suppressed breathing. They either weren't on this floor or very good at concealment. Swinging herself up by her hand she flipped through the window, protecting her body with her cape as the rest of the glass shattered. Her eyes scanned the room from the presence of humans, an indent in the carpeting, a muddy footstep, anything that seemed to contain information. She found nothing. She took to the stairs, wary of continuing her vertical climb lest they were a floor above her and tossed something down. She concealed her body at every corner, tossing her stones forward and listening for a reaction. This was far less alerting than shattering a window, but it would do.

In like manner, she systematically made her way through all the hallways, and onto the fourth floor. So far, her search was fruitless, but she would continue. There were only two floors left, so in truth, she only needed to search the 5th floor. If she didn't find them then it would be a given that they were on the 6th, or had somehow managed to elude her. In that case, she hoped they'd run into Yukino who would likely be coming up behind her. Clearing the stairs to the 5th floor, swinging her way up the stairwell's railings rather than take the series of steps, Gwenrhain began her search anew. The thud of stones hitting walls followed by a brief moment's silence where she'd scan the room or hallway she'd just tested. She'd find them soon enough.

Jihyo listened onto MJ's plan, intrigued by what she was going to say. But other than the plan, she was even more intrigued on who they were facing. The board is only listen them versus question marks. Are these even students? The suspense is simultaneously both killing her and exciting her.

Jihyo snapped back to reality and turned back to spider girl. "What's this plan of yours then?"

Wade grinned as Lucas accepted and agreed with his plan. It was easier to work out a plan when someone didn't dismiss everything you said, but still had enough to say to not just nod their head in agreement. "Watch your head. I'm going to slice open the roof." He said as he fired a beam to slice open various points of the roof to create rubble. He made sure to leave all structural points stable to keep everything from collapsing on them. Once there was enough rubble and a hole, Wade looked back at Lucas, with the next few steps.

"Okay, so I'm going to check down the halls. I'll radio if things get rough or they get close. I'll try to create some diversions. If you hear me shout, ignore it. That will just be me making noise. Let's keep everything important through the radio. Got it! I'm going in!" Wade gave a nod and made a run towards the hallway.

Currently, they were on the seventh floor so there was a way to go. His best bet would be to disturb the sixth and fifth floor. It would best in his opinion to stay below the floor he was protecting, while still not being too far from it. So they were perfect choices.

He was quick to use his quirk for mobility the second he reached the sixth floor. He was quick to fly through the corridors using his beams behind him. And for extra effect, he blew some holes through the ground, to help get the "heroes" attention. They didn't know what he was like, personality wise, so he could use that too his advantage too. "WHERE ARE YOU! YOU HEROES! C'MON SO I CAN CAPTURE YOU! I WIN IF I CAN KNOCK YOU OUT TOO! SO I'M GONNA DO JUST THAT!" With every shout, more damage was done to the corridor, as he blasted through the floor, firing blasts down towards the ground, causing it to shatter and break. Hopefully he was getting their attention.

Yukino nodded, as she then started jogging around the building looking for wherever the bomb could be. She had already touched the building, changing her molecular structure to be similar to it's material. Yukino then heard something in the corridor, which sounded like shouting and blasts. She then looked around where she was, and noticed that the corridor was basically falling apart. She would be caught under the rubble if the guy kept going, but since he was going this wild, it was obvious that the bomb wasn't on this floor.

Yukino wasn't the brightest academically, but even she wasn't stupid enough to launch attacks near a bomb. But it was obivous this guy was pretty tough, if she could capture him, it would be one less enemy for them to worry about.

Yukino then jumped out of hiding, and, for a surprise attack, she extended her arm which then turned into a pole. If done correctly, as soon as Yukino's arm turned into a pole, it would be launcned as a long range attack and hit Wade in the gut with a lot of force.
