Private/Closed MHA international hero school.

BZZRT BZZRT BZZRT

It was with the anger of somebody who got far too little sleep last night that Lucas found himself slamming his hand down on his alarm clock, hoping fervently to beat the infernal machine into submission. Three clumsy slaps later the neon of the clock dimmed, the device now silent. It was the same wake up call Lucas had received every day for the last three years but this was anything but just another day. Today was the IHA entrance exam, the first true hurdle on his path to becoming a professional hero. A serious expression wiped the last vestiges of sleep from his face. He would not fail.

Swinging his legs out of the bed he glanced out of the window, early morning sun rays creeping through the glass and into the room. It was another beautiful day in Grafton, the city already alive and buzzing with other early risers on their way to work, probably as thankful as he was for the lovely weather. Moments later Lucas found himself in the bathroom, staring into the mirror above the sink, his own hazel eyes staring back at him. There were faint dark circles under each of them, evidence of the late night he'd had, unable to fall asleep due to a unique combination of fear and excitement. After stifling a yawn he swiftly ran through his morning routine, shower, getting dressed (His usual combination of jeans, t shirt and hoodie today), breakfast and finally a through brushing of his teeth. By the time he was finished it was still pretty early, about 7 am, and the rest of his family were still asleep. He crept by his mother and sister's rooms quietly, not wanting to wake them up sooner than they needed to but faltered when he reached his elder brothers door, lingering for a moment there. Samuel, the real reason he was even on this path. It wasn't that there weren't other aspects of being a professional hero that appealed to him, but Lucas doubted that he would have had the resolve to take on such a difficult occupation without his brother backing him up every step of the way. Well he wouldn't get accepted into IHA just standing around, he had a bus to catch.

It was a short walk through the local park to the nearest bus stop and the short walk served to settle the young man's nerves. He sat on the bus in silence, not attempting to engage in conversation with any other passengers and instead opting to put in a pair of earbuds. He casually selected one of the songs he'd been enjoying recently (The Bravery- Belive) and enjoyed the rest of the bus ride, knowing that he'd arrive at his destination with a comfortable amount of time to spare. It wasn't long before the imposing wall that surrounded IHA came into view, a seemingly never ending expanse of metal that sealed off the prestigious academy from the rest of the world. Occasionally he'd spy a grass coated roof peaking out just above the barrier but for the most part the school was as shrouded as usual. Of course it made sense that they didn't let just anybody into this place, it would be a disaster to see the next generation of heroes wiped out by a particularly ambitious villain who just waltzed in. Not to mention the effect it would have on the reputation of the place.

The bus suddenly came to a halt, brakes squealing a little as they worked hard to cease the spinning of the vehicles wheels. He was here. Lucas tentatively rose from his seat, reaching into his pocket to ensure he still had the ID card he'd been issued after completing the preliminary exams for the academy. Without it there was no chance he would get in, apparently the defences around the main gate would put many military bases to shame. That being said the gates didn't seem imposing as Lucas stepped from the bus, no, instead they seemed more than welcoming. His future was calling! Confidently striding up to the guard posted beside the massive metal door he flashed his ID, giving the burly man plenty of time to ensure it was legit. Surprisingly the man didn't even look at the plastic card, instead he looked at a small panel built into the gate itself. As soon as the ID was exposed to the gate a green light flashed on the panel, signalling for the great doors to slide open. Of course it was all automated, IHA was top of the line after all.

Now IHA was exposed in its entirety to the boy for the first time he was impressed, it was exactly as he'd imagined it. Sleek structures of glass and metal stood within the spacious courtyard Lucas found himself in, at odds with the luscious gardens that lined their roofs. Technology mixing with nature, the antithesis of Grafton city. Kind of at odds with rest of the scene was a lone man standing beside a small sign that read "Welcome applicants!", hands on hips and an almost alarmingly wide smile on his face. Lucas glanced around, suddenly a little annoyed that he was the first person to arrive, nobody else to provide a buffer for him. Taking one earplug from his ear Lucas took a seat on the bench closest to the meeting point and waited for the other applicants to show up.

"Woo-hoo!" A young, but....extremely muscular school girl exclaimed from the top of her lungs, "I'm going to be the world's next top hero by attendinnnng .... IHA!!!"

This young lass is Yukino Miyamoto, a transfer student from Okinawa, Japan, and she dreams of becoming a hero like the Symbol of Peace himself, All Might. He is the reason she trained her body physically, so she could be just as strong as he was. Unfortunately, for her, she was never really be able to achieve the goal to be as muscular as All Might, but she did become quite stronger due to the process.

She was running as fast as she could, which her speed was comparable to that of a running bicycle. She was just so excited, this school will be her first step to becoming a professional hero. Sooner than she expected, she was at the entrance of IHA, which was honestly quite intimidating, but she got over that fear pretty quickly.

Yukino then checked her purse for her ID card, but..... I CAN'T FIND IT!!! Yukino then started scurrying into her purse digging stuff out that you would never expect to be in a purse, like dumbbells and other exercising equipment. After what seemed like an eternity for Yukino, she was finally able to find her card. She was almost in tears when she found it. Eh, who am I kidding? She was crying when she found it.

She then entered the school, only to be surprised there was just one person who arrived and who was sitting on a bench. Yukino then found a seperate bench next to the guy and waited for other people to show up.

-----------------------------------------

MJ was walking prestigely down the street on all four of her arachnid-based legs, abiding to all the laws of the street. She could've easily made her way to IHA much faster if she simply zoomed across the buildings of Grafton, but she decided against it as she didn't want to disturb the citizens of Grafton.

In due time, she was able to arrive at IHA, and, unlike some students, MJ had brought her ID card and was able to enter the school with ease.

By the time MJ arrived, however, more applicants arrived at the schools grounds and were chatting amongst themselves. MJ decided not to communicate with any of the other applicants, and stayed recluse, reading a book.

Gwenrhian/Gwenerys/Gweneira

Gwenrhain took a deep breath, her lungs filling with the refreshing, humid air or the early morning. She sat up from her sleeping bag, and through her eyes were still bleary from slumber, they adjusted rapidly. Her vision was astounding, a side-effect of always being enhanced by her quirk, and she was able to see the leaves and wild grass matted in her hair in vivid detail, down to the very veins of the foliage. Even the small centipede, surepititiously making its way across the expanse of her sleeping bag, could not escape her senses, its plethora of legs wriggling it ever closer to her skin -disgusting...

""This sucks after all...""

A duo of identical voices resonated in synchrony, and if a bystander were present, they'd be hardpressed to determine how many people had been speaking. The voices were thick with disgruntlement, and a tinge of accusation. Right on cue, a
third, equally identical and apologetic voice responded, whimpering like a wronged puppy. "...it wasn't supposed to explode..."

Silence descended as the three triplets: Gwenrhian, Gwenerys, and Gweneira exchanged glances- no, more aptly, Gwenrhian, and Gwenerys exchanged glares with a cowering Gweneira, who seemed to be on the verge of tears.

"I didn't expect the first-day IHA to start like this..."

The siblings had spent the night camping out in sleeping bags in front of their temporary school-assigned flat. The reason? A failed experiment from their resident alchemist had resulted in a superbly foul odor, so putrid that a mix of rotten eggs and meat, soaked in a latrine and then left in the sun for a week, would've been pleasant in comparison. But that wasn't too bad- after all, Gweneria's failed experiments had resulted in worst before, and the triplets were used to looking like they just walked out of a vat of radioactive waste material, fully equipped with neon hair colors and polka-dotted skin (That particular incident had taken almost a month to resolve).

What truly had the sisters peeved was the fact that the smell was so pervasive it'd infected the entire flat and almost all of their belonging, the sole survivors being the pajamas they'd been wearing. Although the smell was expected to dissipate by later this evening, the damage had already been done, and the trio had already embarrassed themselves half to death strolling around in the middle of the night trying to buy sleeping bags in their pajamas. When one of the store owners had thrown them out because of 'inappropriate attire', Gwenrhian had almost thrown a fit. When they'd finally managed to a buy a set of sleeping bags, the queer stares of the sales rep had left them so frustrated they'd simply headed home instead of buying an extra set of clothes.

Back to the present and the siblings were still bereft of their possessions, and even more down-heartening was the fact that they'd now needed to take the IHA entrance exams. A swift exchange of awkward glances went buy before all eyes fell on Gwenrhian, the eldest sister being left with the final decision.

Gritting her teeth as if she'd just made the hardest decision in the world and sacrificed much of her dignity in the process, Gwenrhain assented.
"We've already come this far... and I'm not going back to the airport in my PJ's"

Needless to say, several minutes later the triplets swaggered through the gates of IHA, their attempt at acting casual completely betrayed by the fierce blushes that covered their faces. They immediately huddled off to a corner, and awaited the beginning of the exam, sending death glares towards any student whose eyes lingered a little too long for comfort on their... less than modest attire.

Tetsu Adachi was in deep sleep on an old sofa he had tucked into the corner of his cozy sky-lit bedroom when a small boy with wild red hair crept into his room unannounced. The boy wore a mischievous smile, keeping low as he slowly traversed the squeaky bedroom floor, making sure to stay as quiet as possible.

"...GOTCHA!" The wild headed child yelled as he dove on top of a sleeping and unprepared Tetsu before attempting to wrestle him to the ground, jolting the young man awake violently.

"Marik? Oh no ya dont!" The older boy yelled in combination of shock and slight amusement at the realization that he was almost pinned down by this runt. The grin never leaving his face, Tetsu grabbed the back of Marik's collar and half suggested half tossed, the wild redhead across the room with a decent amount of force, causing the child to hit the ground with a loud thud.

"Looks like I got you!" Tetsu yelled after approaching the unmoving boy, no real signs of concern showing on his face. 'Heh...ill admit kid, you were stealthy, not bad." He concluded internally, not surprised at all when he looked back to Marik and saw the boy was now on all fours taking ragged, animalistic breaths. His teeth extended out to a fine point and thick black fur began sprouting from the his wrists and ankles, slowing coating his arms and legs. Tetsu stared on with an observant look as the boy partially transformed in front of him.

--------
Marik Wess
Quirk: Slyfox- Can transform into an agile fox-like beast when threatened
--------

"Marik....you better calm down, you know quirk usage inside the house is strictly forbidden." Tetsu explained, although his words werent taken to heart as Marik's nails dug into the ground, the boy dashing towards his elder with impressive speed. Tetsu merely shrugged, fully aware that his 'brother' would no longer listen to reason and there was really only one way to stop him. Almost instantly, Tetsu's nails and canines extended out into razor sharp tips whilst his ears slowly sprouted two small furry points giving them a much more wolf-like appearance. He raised his arm just in time to block a slash from the fiery headed child, gripping onto the smaller boys fur-coated wrist with a vice like grip before unloading a semi-restrained punch into Marik's ribs, sending him, once again, rolling on the floor.

"Well? Give up now?" Tetsu asked in a rather 'I told you so'-eske voice, reverting to his normal form as he stepped forward. Marik shakily got his feet, now back in his normal form with a goofy grin on his face.

"I almost had you that time!" Marik called out with a bright eye'd smile as he ran up to Tetsu, latching onto his older siblings waist without hesitation.

"Ha! Not even close Little Fox, but keep trying, youll get there." Tetsu replied enthusiastically, ruffling his younger brothers hair with a content grin. The warm moment only lasted for a second however, as Tetsu's face flushed to a sickly white color. He stared up at the clock, realization hitting him like a wrecking ball. "......I overslept...." He mumbled, Marik jolting to life at these mere two words.

"OHNOTETSU! YOUHAVETHATREALLYBIGEXAMTODAYANDYOURGONNABELATE!" The hyperactive eight year olds words poured out at a mile a minute, quickly kicking Tetsu into high gear as he clumsily slid his shoes on before dashing for the front door.

"See ya, Little Fox! Wish me luck!" Tetsu yelled with one final wave as he sprinted off down the middle of the crowded street.

"IHA entrance exams....I can do this." The wolf-boy repeated internally, trying not to psych himself out as he approached the front of the school, seeing many students had already gathered around the entrance, waiting impatiently to enter. "Yes! Made it on time!"

Jihyo Lee flew threw the streets of the newfound island she recently moved into. If she recalled correctly, Grafton was the city name. Having recently just moved out of Incheon, Korea, the active girl wanted to see what she's dealing with in her environment. She literally flew threw the streets of Grafton. Her angelic white wings can clearly be seen sprouting from the young girls back with occasional white wings trailing behind her. The young girl moved here to join the well known IHA, or also known International Hero Academy.

Having moved by herself, as her parents rather stay back in Korea than move to a foreign land, Jihyo had all the freedom she wants, meaning more parties. Those who don't know Jihyo, she's a reckless girl. She's prissy, sarcastic, and sinful even. She likes to put up this innocent act that deceives many, even her parents.

The white haired girl found herself arriving in front of IHA's gates too quickly. She sometimes forget how fast she flies in the air. No point in going out again as she had already arrived. Jihyo glided down to a smooth landing before walking into the school academy itself. This was one of the schools she wanted to go to after all. Better make a good impression while she can. She had been rejected from a couple other academy's, but IHA was one of the few who accepted her.

"Alright looks like everybody is here, gather around!" Called out the bearded man who stood beside the welcome sign. He easily demanded all attention with ease, his booming voice whilst jovial was impossible to ignore. Not even getting into the bright blue V-neck sweater he was wearing.

Lucas' obliged, reaching into his pocket to turn off his music entirely. Not that it mattered much, this guy would probably be understandable in the middle of a rave. As the other students assembled Lucas was a little alarmed at how few of them there was. They were the only ones who got through the online tests? Eight students? And those three identical girls, they might even be the same person, who knows. And they weren't done yet, he'd heard rumours that those who under performed in the physical tests would be kicked out of the programme without hesitation. While it was true that this might be for the students safety it would sting to get this close only to be sent home.

Once everybody was assembled before the welcome sign the IHA official slapped his hands together, beaming at the hopeful candidates before him.
"Before we begin allow me to introduce myself. Wilhelm Busch, retired German hero and these days a teacher right here at IHA. I'll be putting you lucky kids through your paces today so allow me to wish you all the best of luck! If you follow me we'll get right to it, no point in wasting this fine morning." Busch gleefully explained, turning and strolling away at a surprisingly quick pace towards the area where the tests would be taking place.

It was a brief journey, a quick jaunt around the right wing of the academy that took about a minute and a half and left the small group standing in the middle of what was essentially a large running track. If not for the colossal metal perimeter fence coiling around the far end of the track it could have been from any other high end school around the world, the same orange cement and white lines painted along the ground that you would find anywhere. That comforted Lucas' slightly, IHA was prestigious for sure but it was just a school. He could get in, the only thing in his way were a few physical exercises. Easy, hopefully. That being said Lucas still didn't want to go first, and felt his heart sink when he heard his name called out first. Bugger.

"Lucas Ward? Your up first kid, no pressure. This is a simple one, throw the baseball as far as you can." The German explained, conjuring said ball from his pocket and lightly tossing it to Lucas who deftly caught it, a relief considering he'd never been good at any ball games back in the Uk.

As the exercise was explained to him Lucas' apprehension melted away and was replaced with a newfound confidence to match the resolve the young man felt. This task was practically designed for him, a complete stroke of luck that he guessed was karma for being picked first.

Examining the ball for a moment Lucas found it to be completely ordinary in everyway, the only exception being the IHA printed on it in bold black lettering. Trying to ignore the crowd of people behind him who were doubtlessly watching his every move he closed his eyes and focused entirely on the small lump of rubber in his palm. Green sparks began to appear from his flesh around the ball, jumping from the boy and into the ball itself. He felt the weight in his hand begin to lessen, as if some invisible force was helping him hold the ball up. Of course he knew was what actually happening. By reducing the density of the ball he was making it lighter, the point being that it would hopefully be able to float in the wind.

Pulling his arm back Lucas firmly planted his feet in preparation for the throw, taking a single deep breath in an attempt to clear his mind. And just like that the ball was sailing through the air, bobbing in the wind as a gust propelled far, far further than he would have naturally been able to toss it. It was only once the red sphere had actually gone out of view that Lucas felt his quirk fail, the connection he'd made with the ball breaking the moment he could no longer see it. With the faintest ghost of a confident smile Lucas turned back to the group, happy with his efforts.

"Nicely done Ward, 706.3 M." Mr Busch nodded, looking at the device in his hand that presumably calculated the distance travelled. "Now go get it."

The brief high Lucas had been feeling about how far he threw the ball vanished abruptly. Now he had to play fetch? Begrudgingly he set off after the ball, leaving his fellow applicants behind as he trudged down the track in search of it.

"Okay next on the list...Yukino Miyamoto! Give it your best shot."

Yukino had a big smirk on her face. She had been waiting to show what she was made of, and this test was the perfect way to do just that. She grabbed the ball and got ready. She had to admit, it was quite heavy for what she expected, but nothing enough to be able to challenge Yukino.

Yukino had grabbed a baseball bat, and when she touched it, her body started transforming. Slowly, her whole body was wrapped around by a wooden substance. She kept the same big smirk on her face.

She then tossed the ball into the air, and, in a flash, her right arm transformed into a baseball bat. As soon as the ball started falling, she jumped into the air and hit the baseball as hard as she could. When it hit, the ball and the bat made a loud thunderous sound. The ball then started flying in a straight direction in fast speeds. Soon, the ball would land.

"345.6 meters," said the device.

Yukino was shocked. She couldn't believe her score was half the score Lucas' was. But, she merely laughed it off, and said, "It looks like my quirk isn't up to long-range attacks." She then went to grab her ball as well, but she was able to get it earlier than Lucas' as his was more far away.

"Not bad, not bad at all young Yukino!" Mr Busch called out after her, scribbling the girls score down on a note pad before checking his list of students.

"Jihyo Lee, your up next so lets see what you can do."

"Oof that's me," Jihyo muttered to herself. Jihyo took the ball in hand and stared at it wondered what to do with it. Jihyo stretched her wings a bit, expanding the wings to her max wingspan. Maybe she was showing off. Maybe she wasn't. Finally, Jihyo finally decided on what she would do with her prowess.

Jihyo threw the ball into the air. As soon as the ball momentum began to drop, Jihyo expanded her wings as big as she can and flapped her wings. One giant flap to create one giant gust of wind. The ball immediately went soaring into the air. Jihyo's plan was to hope her gust of wind would be able to guide the ball through the wind currents, and possibly keep it afloat for a long distance.

Her hopes dropped as the ball reached it's maximum height and arcs downwards leading to the ground. The device give a buzz and stated, "196 meters.

Definitely not she wanted, being the lowest score so far. But this missions and objectives weren't her forte after all. She hoped she could do better on the other tests, , if there were any left. She grudgingly left her station to retrieve her ball. It was fairly quick, faster than the previous occupants, to get her ball. Speed was more of her strengths after all.

"Good work Jihyo, I bet you'll get a chance to shine with those wings soon." said the bearded German, an encouraging smile spreading across his face. His smile faltered a bit when he cast his gaze at his name of lists once more. After a few seconds of him staring intently at the paper he shrugged and simply pointed at the three near identical siblings.

"You guys are next, I'm not gonna butcher your names in front of everybody. So go in what order you like and I'll take the time to work on my pronunciations." He chuckled sheepishly, tossing a ball to each of the girls.

Lucas meanwhile had finally made it back to the rest of the group, ball safely retrieved. He'd missed out on the quirk of the girl who went directly after him, only managing to catch her going to collect her own ball. He'd seen the angel girl's throw in its entirety however, quite the spectacle, not so much because of the distance but more so the visually impressive nature of her quirk. He'd known a boy with wings back in high school but they were put to shame by even the brief showcase of aerial acrobatics he'd just seen. Still neither of the other throws had travelled as far as his own and that at least was fuelling his confidence for now. Now it was the turn of the three white haired girls and he watched with a glint of curiosity in his eyes, it was intriguing to see what the other applicants were working with on their individual journeys to become heroes.

Gwenrhian

After a brief flurry of motions and whispering among her siblings, Gwenrhian stepped forward, accompanied by both her sisters. Since the teacher had been wary of butchering their names they'd missed their chance for a free introduction. That was fine though, the siblings had planned on introducing themselves on their own either way. Moving and speaking with uncanny synchrony the triplets made 'V' signs with their left hands and replied cheerfully,

"Hiii~ My name is Gwenrhian ((Gwenerys, Gweneira)), but you can just call me Gwen!"

'''Nailed it!!''' , Three mischevious grins flashed as they meshed their introductions together. It'd be a wonder if anyone could tell which triplet had said what. Without further ado, Gwenrhian stepped forward (again), the ocean green pigmentation of her eyes spreading out as it painted her face. Her arm wound up as her muscles tensed and she launched the ball with a fierce toss. The ball flew for a short while, a crisp arc drawn through the air, before it landed unceremoniously and the device rung as a number was displayed.

- - 195 m - -

"..."

A blush crept across Gwenrhian's face. Her score had been a bit on the lower end, in fact it'd had been the lowest score yet, and she couldn't help feeling a bit embarrassed. However, she recovered quickly and mentally consoled herself 'My quirk isn't suited for a test of strength anyways...'

She then walked off briskly to secure her test-ball.

Gweniera

Snickering slightly Gweneira stepped up. Although she'd earner herself a glare from her older sister she disregarded it. She stretched out both hands as a small, illusory cauldron appeared before her, floating in the air. Her demeanor changed instantly, and a profound, sagacious light flickered in her eyes. An illusory flame burst into being beneath the cauldron and Gweneira began concocting.

Her hand pinched the air, retriving three bright red leaves and then tossing them into the vessel, next came an assortment of bizzare looking grasses and fruits. She added each ingredient with deft, practiced motions, and as time flew by the cauldron begin to shake violently, as if whatever it contained wanted to burst from its confines. Plumes of purple smoke billowed from the cauldron's mouth, but that soon ended and Gweniera plugged the cauldron with the ball she'd been given. She the next titled the cauldron at an angle, Andre snapped her fingers -the flame beneath the cauldron erupting as if it'd been feed a tanker of oil.

The alchemist and her sisters plugged their ears. Seeming to have thought of something Gwenrhian tried to warn the others, "Cover your-" but it was a bit too late, the cauldron exploded with a resounding
'BANG!!!!!' The ball sealing the vessel went flying.

- - 347 m - -

Gwenerys

Gweniera walked off, mutturing something completely incoherent and wearing a distraught expression, apparently unsatisfied with the scale of her explosion. "Maybe I should've added more Sun stalk grass? Or reduced the number of Frost Leaves. It could've also simmered for another 15 seconds..." Her voice fading as the distance between them widened.

A multicolored splotch had stained the ground where Gweneira had taken her test and Gwenerys eyed it warily. Refusing to get any closer to it she simply threw the ball from where she stood. Well, throw might've been an exaggeration. She gave the ball a light toss, and it went about 2 m, tops. As it began to fall to the ground the ball suddenly halted, quivered, and then rocketed off into the distance. If anyone had been paying attention, they might've noticed to ball seemed to follow the movements of Gwenerys' finger, continuing to go upwards at an angle until she'd lost sight of it.

She waited for a few moments and as gravity took hold of the ball, it began to plummet.

- - 712.6 m - -

A smug expression immediaedly plastered itself onto her face and she began to strut after her ball with a distinct swagger.

"Impressive work girls, keep it up." Busch said approvingly (And perhaps a little too loudly, his ears still ringing thanks to Gweniera) nodding his head slowly. In his many years of teaching at IHA he'd seen plenty of unique and powerful quirks but each year he without fail he found himself intrigued to find out what the new students would bring with them. The silver haired girls had only cemented the fact that this batch of applicants was no exception.

Lucas' meanwhile was somewhat miffed that his high score had just been edged out. He wasn't expecting anybody to be able to match up to him in this particular little exercise. His brow furrowed ever so slightly as he pondered what Gwenerys' quirk might actually be, she'd barely seemed to put any effort into her toss and yet the ball had flown through the air as if it had a life of it's own. Some form of telekinesis perhaps? He had managed to pick up on her moving her finger as if to direct the ball so that could be it and if so his competition might be even tougher than he'd originally thought. All the more reason to put in his all.

"Righto, next up we have...Testsu!"

Tetsu stiffened as his name was called, stepping forward onto the field, he felt a tad bit more nervous than he had before.
"Just great, some of these guys are breaking 700 and its still only a waxing crescent." The wolf boy mentally slapped himself, looking towards the horizon where the moon would rise from in just a few short hours.
"Guess ill have to make do!" He grunted while entering his feral stage once again, teeth and nails elongated and ears more wolf-like. He pondered for a moment before staring down at the ball, a grin forming on his face. He threw a surprisingly weak pitch, not to mention it was aimed straight up.
"Perfect." He said quietly as the ball peaked in the air directly above the group. In a flash, Katsuo was down on all fours, his legs bending inward before releasing as he pounced up, tucking his body in tightly and rotating to build momentum, he cleared at least ten feet when he met the ball on its way back down. At the last possible moment Katsuo launched a roundhouse kick faster than the untrained eye could see into the ball, causing it to soar off into the distance at high speeds before eventually arching in the air and coming to a rough landing.

--302.5 meters--

Katsuo exhaled heavily as he shifted back to normal, his head leaning back as his score was said aloud to him.
"Hmp, not bad....not great."

MJ had been observing everyone's performance intently. Due to her outstanding observational skills, she was able to immediately figure out everyone's name and their quirk.

Lucas Ward- Seems to be very average in looks, but it's quite obvious that he stores quite a lot of power. He is able to change the mass or weight, I am not entirely sure yet, of any object he touches and it gives the perception of super-strength.
Yukino Miyamoto- Was kind of surprised to hear she was in fact a female, though her muscular figure may advise otherwise. My fault for assuming. She is able to construct the molecular structure of her body into that of an object she touches and then transform her body even more into other shapes.
Jihyo Lee- Quite pretty, to be honest, and her quirk seems to show the same sign of elegance. She uses the pair of wings on her back to maneuver flight and can also attack with said wings.
(The Triplets)
Gwenrhian Rhyfel- Wasn't able to show off her quirk in this instant, but I'm confident she'll show it off in another test.
Gweneira Rhosyn- She possesses a creation quirk as she was able to create the cauldron from what seemed like out of thin air. I wonder what the limitations are to her creations.
Gwenerys Saeth- From seeing the movements of her fingers, it is quite obvious that she has the ability to manipulate the trajectory of the item she touches, which is why she was messing around with the ball before actually "tossing" it.
Tetsuya Adachi- Goes through a transformation remenecent of that of a werewolf, because of the sudden appearance of ears and fangs. Though he seemed quite disappointed with his score, which I'm considering means he couldn't draw out his latent potential in this test. Will definitely take note of that.

When MJ was through going through her mental notes, she decided that she'll go next in the ball throw. She then stood as tall as she could with the gigantic spider legs that came out of her and she grabbed the ball. MJ then put on her special pair of goggles, and two eyes appeared from out of her head hiding behind her goggles, which then enhanced her vison which would then help her aim for a trajectory. She then extended one of her arachnid-based legs in front of the ball, and shot a web out. The web wrapped around the ball with a peice of what would work like string sticking out. The webbing seemed to be acting as a type of slingshot, as MJ then started twirling it around and around. The size of the webbing seeming to increase by the minute. By the time it was about the right size, MJ flung it as hard as she could.

--638.6 m--

MJ was quite proud of her score, but she decided to keep all of that to herself as she kept on a serious, stern look and went to go and grab the ball and waited for what was to come next.

The next hour consisted of non stop physical activities, each one testing a different aspect of the applicants abilities. By the time their testing was over Lucas was left a little short of breath, resting his hands on his knees so that he could recover. It had been pretty brutal with practically no time to rest between each activity and there had been a few in which his quirk had been totally useless. The 100m sprint? A nightmare, absolutely no way to utilise density manipulation bar cheating and making the clothes of his competitors heavier. Although that thought had briefly entered his mind Lucas immediately dismissed it, no aspiring hero should cheat, it goes against the very idea of what he wanted to become. And that aside this had pointed out weakness in himself that had previously gone unnoticed. Now that they were on display he could work on them.

"Okay kids lets see how you all did today. Remember that it doesn't matter if you aren't at the top of these boards, you're here to become heroes, we aren't expecting you to already be them." Mr Busch explained to the group who were now gathered around an electric whiteboard built into the side of the gymnasium, displaying their rankings in each of the events.

After giving the kids a moments to take in their scores Mr Busch broke out into peals of hearty laughter, his gleaming smile wider even than it had been previously. "Well you should all be damn well proud of yourselves. Congratulations on being the first batch of applicants to all pass in the history of IHA! I've been hoping to see something like this for years so don't disappoint me, I want to see you all in class by 9 am sharp tomorrow. Now run along, rest up, the hard work has just begun."

And with that the bearded teacher strolled off deeper into the school complex, whistling cheerfully all the while, the sound carrying clearly even as he disappeared from sight.

Lucas meanwhile was fighting back the urge to burst out in cheers such was the feeling of accomplishment that was flowing through him. His lips curled into a grin as he stared at the scoreboard, one of his hands curling into a fist as he did so, the most he would allow himself in a break of his composure right now. He'd done it! Standing in the high tech walls of the greatest hero school on earth, now his school, he didn't think success could ever feel this good. He glanced around at the other applicants around him, imagining they felt much the same way as he did. Previously he'd been so focused on passing the test that he'd practically ignored them but now that the pressure was off for a moment he could take a moment to appreciate the displays of skill they had put into the tests. They had all shone in their own ways.This was certainly shaping up to be quite the year for the lot of them.

Yukino noticed that she did pretty average in all of the tests, and let out a groan, but then merely laughed it off. "Oh, well," she mumbled to herself, "Though I may be physically stronger than some of the students, I guess their use of their quirks gave them much better scores. But that doesn't matter to me! I know I can get better, and soon I'll be the one on top!"

MJ looked at her scores, and was proud of herself. She did the best she could on all of the test, and was able to get more information on all of the students from observing them in the tests. Interesting. I did considerably well in these tests, though I may be down-playing myself.
I was able to either get third or second place in all of the tests, which proves that my physical attributes are definitely above average. I was never able to get first place, however, which means that is a goal I must pursue if I want to better myself in this school.

Gwenrhian

Hands on her hips and an expression of utter boredom on her face, Gwenrhian was the picture definition of 'casual and unconcerned'. She hadn't broken so much as a single drop of sweat throughout the entire set of tests. Impulse drive gave her a nearly impeccable degree of control over her body, and her efficiency, while her quirk was active, was rather enviable. She hadn't ended up expending much energy, and as such wasn't as tired as some of the other students. Speaking of the other students, she'd been observing three of them in particular; Tetsuya Adachi, Jihyo Lee and Mary Jane Parker. Not because she was highly impressed with their performances or anything- though she had to admit she was rather wary of their capabilities- but, more so because of their quirks. To be more specific the three shared a trait; all their quirks were of the body transformation type and thus they'd inherited a more primal, natural and animalistic style of movement. Jihyo clearly had exceptional grace and nimbleness, Tetsu had an underlying ferociousness and savagery, and Mary Jane had the most precision and finesse.

Simply speaking, all those traits- Gwenrhian wanted them. Hence, she'd been carefully observing their respective movements and running simulations on how she could replicate and refine them within her own body. Needless to say, she'd utterly failed. Whether it be the movement of Jihyo's wings, or the dexterity of Mary Jane's arachnid limbs, or even Tetsu's fangs and claws... she utterly failed to replicate any of them, but that didn't mean she'd be giving up. Failure is the mother of success, or so they say. She'd cinch their movements eventually, it was only a matter of time.

In the meanwhile, she might as well take a closer look. Her eyes scanned past Jihyo and Tetsu, landing on Mary Jane. She felt that the girl's finesse would be the most useful to her, and hence had chosen to talk to her first- besides, she'd caught the spider girl sending more than just a few glances her way. Her perception with Impulse drive activated was nothing to scoff at. A few sweeping steps later and she was right beside Mary, her ocean green eyes sweeping over the girl's body before settling on her face.

"Mary...right? I'm Gwenrhian... I'd tell you to call me Gwen but..." She trailed off, casting a glance towards her two triplets and giggling.

Gweneira

Hey...you. Yea, you over there...You want some pills..?
---

"....siiiigghhh~" A rather distressed look on her face Gweneira eyes were locked wistfully on to Tetsu's frame. Those solid, rugged muscles, the healthy sun-tanned skin, his innate primal disposition, and that clothing style that just screamed wild... Gweneira almost swooned. He was puurrfect~ for testing the medicines she'd concocted. Her own flesh and blood siblings had long since refused to test any of Gweneira's 'creations' for fear of the possible side-effects, but Tetsu... he looked like he could take a licking and keep on ticking.

The only issue was... how was she to get him to use any of her creations? She'd been thinking it through, but she obviously couldn't approach him like she was trying to deal him drugs from some shady sources...

"..."

Okay, they were technically drugs... But she was the one to make them so they definitely weren't from any shady sources!

Unknowingly, while lost in thought, she'd strayed over towards the object of her affection(?). When she came to she was staring right a Tetsu's face. A furious blush erupted on her cheeks, and she struggled to find words to speak, "Ummm...ahhh...could you...possibly...my creations...Errrr...They aren't from Shady sources I swear!!" Her incoherent babbling had steadily increased until she'd practically been shouting the last phrase at her likely dumbfounded conversation partner. Upon realizing just what she'd been doing, she paused.

Between the embarrassment of being in her Pajamas and the embarrassment of fumbling over her own tongue, the white-haired alchemist had at some point begun drawing circles on the ground with her foot. Her blush having crept from her cheeks down to her neck. After a short moment, she eventually squeezed out, "I'm Gweneira...." her voice, an almost inaudible buzz.

Gwenerys

Noticing that her sisters had both taken their leave, striking up conversations(?) with various other students, Gwenerys decided to do the same. Her partner of choice? Who else could it be but Mr. Second place, Lucas Ward? Since the Ball Toss had been the only competition she'd won- barely sweeping the victory from under Lucas- she'd chosen to socialize with the person who'd almost beat her... just almost. With her decision set Gwenerys didn't walk, trot nor strut, but sashayed her way over to Lucas. With the gait of a prissed up kitten, her hips swaying and her head held high, she made her way over to her target.

Upon arrival, she presented him with the back of her hand, a gesture far too old for modern times but a noble one nonetheless. Her head askew, she stared at Lucas, her ocean green eyes penetrating and her eyelashes batting. She awaited his response, which would be a kiss to the back of her hand, she had offered it after all, and it was only noble and proper for him to respond likewise.

Barely a second after she'd initiated her gesture, she seemed to have thought of something. "Oh? Could thou not be acquainted with this practice?"

Gwenerys had figured that if she was going to strike up a conversation, she'd at least leave a lasting impression. Her 'noble' routine was well practiced, and the hints of pride she allowed to seep into her voice just enough to make her appear contemptuous. Well, that'd be if the person hadn't caught the slight trembling of her chest and arms as she suppressed a fit of giggles and tried to maintain her act.

Gwenerys' theatrical appearance came as a surprise to Lucas, he'd been so caught up in his personal triumph that he hadn't noticed her coming over until there was a sun-kissed hand presented to him. The boy's green eyes widened ever so slightly as they focused on the waifish young lady before him. She was immediately recognisable despite being one of three identical girls, this was Gwenerys, the one who had pulled victory out from beneath his feet despite him being so certain he'd be the one to claim it. Despite him feeling no resentment towards her that wasn't something you forget so easily.

There was brief moment in which Lucas' remained motionless, unsure of what was expected of him. Was this a normal way to greet somebody wherever Gwenerys came from? It was clear she wasn't from anywhere he was accustomed to, the honey colouration of her skin suggested she had lived somewhere tropical for the majority of her life. Quiet a difference between that and the consistently dreary climate of the Uk. The regal air behind it all really had him taken aback. Clearly his moment of uncertainty had been noticed as Gwenerys then asked if he was accustomed to this form of greeting.

It was as she spoke that Lucas caught on to the fact that the girl was suppressing laughter, a very slight trembling betraying her otherwise excellent composure. He had to admit he'd almost bought into her act such was her commitment to the joke. Now sure that this was all in good humour he smiled at her, his usual little half smile, before taking her hand and gently planting a kiss on it.

"I've only ever seen the Queen do it honestly. But considering "thou" beat me in that ball toss earlier I think you can get away with it this time." He explained, only a hint of sarcasm slipping into his tone as he said "thou". Lucas' raised one hand to the back of his head for a second, fingers slipping between the dark strands of his hair as he carefully chose his next words.

"Gwenerys right? Lucas Ward, a pleasure to meet you. Impressive work in that ball toss, what kind of quirk was that? Telekinesis right?"

Tetsu scoffed at his scores, an obvious look of agitation washing over him.
"Trash....absolute trash" He scolded himself, look on at his embarrassingly low scores.
However, his head quickly perked up as a familiar scent approached him from behind, sulfur and wolfs bane, Gweneira. The wolf boy glanced over his shoulder as the girl began fumbling over her own words, muttering a question that she didnt quite finish before introducing herself to him. Tetsu was a bit amused by the nervousness of the girl, knowing full in well her intentions werent as pure as they seemed.
"These triplets......tricky, tricky, tricky...." He contemplated the abilities of all three, a burning curiosity growing inside him about one of the triplets.

"Nice to meet you Gweneira, im Tetsu." He responded almost immediately, his head tilting ever so slightly to the side as he stared at the girl.
"Oh yeah....she's the alchemist....interesting...."

Gwenerys

Seeing that Lucas had chosen to go along with her act, Gwenerys beamed. But upon hearing him questioning her power her face fell, her cheeks puffed and she gave a harrumph of indignation. "It's more polite to give your own power first if you're going to be asking for mine you know." She rose her chin, angling her head to the side so that she was staring Lucas down with one eye. "But seeing as you've pledged your loyalty to your Queen, I guess I can make an exception and tell you..."

She seemed to have gotten particularly into her act this time, but the certainty in her voice certainly didn't make it seem like she was acting. "My quirk isn't telekinesis, but that was a nice guess. It's actually something more Trajectory related, I can see and control flight paths... so a ball toss, well..." she scoffed, clearly disdaining the exam, but pride clearly filled her voice, "it wasn't even a challenge."

Gweneira

With a nod of her head, Gweneira acknowledged Tetsu's introduction. She then proceeded to stare intently at her fellow student, slowly but surely her breaths got quicker, deeper...heavier. "Could...I possibly get a sample..?" Her eyes glowed with an eerie, unsettling light as if she wanted to push Tetsu down and dissect him on the spot.

She waved her hand and several flasks and Petri Dishes rippled into being in front of her and then started from the leftmost flask she listed out what she wanted in each. "If you could just fill these with; Blood, Fur, Saliva, Nails, Mucus, Tears, Sweat, Skin, and Hair." The shy, bashful girl from before had somehow disappeared and methodological scientist took her place. Gweneira waved her hand once more and an identical set of equipment appeared behind the first.

"Ideally the first set should be filled with the samples while you're in human form and the second set whilst you've transformed." Having done all of that with a perfectly straight face she then stared at Tetsu as if she'd asked for something perfectly rational and normal.

MJ then averted her attention towards Gwenrhian, and smiled, though it was in a sophisticated manner.

"Yes, I am Mary, though I prefer to be called Mary Jane," MJ responded, "And you must be Gwenrhian. I have been observing you, as long as all the other students, throughout the fitness tests, and, though it may have been difficult to tell from these kinds of tests, you have a quirk that enhances multiple senses or attributes that you possess. I have to say, that is quite a useful quirk for heroes in the rescue department."

MJ then sat down, her archanid-like legs moving out of the way. "Now, is there anything you might want from me?" MJ asked.

------------------------------------

Yukino decided that she must train herself before the first day of school, because other students in this class seem to outclass her in terms of the fitness test, like Mary, Lucas and Tetsu, so she just wants to show everyone what she's made of.

Yukino then ran out of the school grounds, and found an empty parking lot to do her exercises. Yukino worked really hard, increasing what her daily regimen was by double. She knew she had to increase her strength to improve her quirk, and, hopefully, she can do a lot better tomorrow than what she did today.

"Pledged loyalty to your Queen"

Despite knowing full well that this regal act was just put on by Gwenerys he had to admit she was really selling it. Puffing her cheeks out like that in indignation he could quite easily picture her atop some elaborate throne, scolding some poor insubordinate, haughtiness on full display. He was doing his best not to break out in laughter, the whole thing was quite amusing really.

"Control over flight paths huh? I've never come across anything quite like that before, very unique." He admitted with a small polite smile, a little miffed at how dismissive of the test she was being. Such confidence.

"Anyway fair is fair I suppose, might as well clue you in on my quirk." said Lucas, reaching down to pluck a small pebble from the ground. He rolled it around a few times in the palm of his hand, allowing green sparks to latch onto the stone as they began to appear from his flesh. After a few seconds he presented it to Gwenerys, a playful sparkle in his eye.

"Density manipulation, pretty useful for making me look stronger than I am."

Jihyo examined over her scores. If she had to be honest, she was actually impressed with herself. She already knew she wasn't that affiliated with physical strength, which is why she scored practically last in almost all of them. But to be the fastest of the class and have the best jump of the class? That definitely boosted her confidence. Jihyo flew a few feet in the air and did a little twirl in joy.

From the air, Jihyo looked down below her. Everyone was either socializing at this point and/or going home. Jihyo decided to do the latter as it was already after class time and she did work her butt of in each event, even if she failed most of them. Jihyo speedily flew her way home, almost losing direction as she is still a bit new to the area, to prepare for what could be up for tomorrow.

Gwenerys

"An interesting quirk...can...can you fly!?"

Gwenery's eyes sparkled as realization dawned on her, in theory, things floated because they were less dense than air. If Lucas really did have the ability to manipulate density freely, then it wouldn't be an issue for him to lower his own density and thus 'float'. She then stiffened, realizing that in her excitement she'd broken her facade. She gave a dulcet of dry coughs, dusted off her pajamas, once again adopted a lofty, nobler-than-thou expression, and spoke in a more refined manner, "Doth thou possess the capability of flight?"

If nothing else, she certainly was committed to the act.

Gwenrhian

"I was hoping for a bit of small-talk..."

An awkward chuckle followed as Gwenrhian prepared to follow up, "You also seem to possess quite the interesting quirk. I imagine you'd have a very high level of 3D maneuverability and-"

'Could...I possibly get a sample..?'

-She wouldn't...- Ears twitching unnaturally Gwenrhian listened closely as a voice that seemed just a bit too much like her sister's found its way into her quirk-enhanced hearing range. However, the next set of words that drifted into her ears caused her heart to sink.

'If you could just fill these with; Blood, Fur, Saliva, Nails, Mucus, Tears, Sweat, Skin, and Hair.'

Her face flashed, rapidly running through a series of complex emotions. Finally, an odd mix of tranquillity, stoicism and utter lividity settled onto her face. "I'm sorry Mary Jane, but this conversation will have to be saved for later..."

-------

A lapse of a few minutes found one trio of white-haired triplets leaving the school's compounds together. Although the term 'together' was meant to have been used loosely. In truth and in fact, two-thirds of the trio were being dragged through the gates rather unwillingly by their collars by the third member who was having none of their nonsense.

Gwenerys' sudden break in character didn't go unnoticed by Lucas, for a moment there that cold and regal disposition had given way to a genuine interest and excitement, but he decided not to comment on it, figuring anything he said might upset the girl. He didn't have a handle on her true personality yet so it was best to be cautious. And luckily caution was something Lucas was very familiar with. Owning a quirk like his meant that he had to be very careful, one mistake could cause serious damage to both himself and those around him.

"Calling it flying would be doing injustice to people like Jihyo. In truth its more of a difficult to control float..." Luca's trailed off mid sentence as Gwenerys was abruptly dragged away by one of her sisters, leaving him standing there all by himself. He remained stock still for a moment, watching the trio of white haired girls grow smaller as they left the school grounds. It was only by the time that they had reached that gate that he regained enough composure to respond.

"Your majesty." He smirked, performing a mock bow in their direction. It was hard to tell if she would have even seen the gesture, let alone heard what he said. Ah well, he thought it was pretty funny regardless. Not that it was like him to make jokes with people he'd only just met but hey he was in was in a good mood. With the courtyard now clearing it was really time he headed home himself anyway. Slipping his earbuds back in he set off, making the decision to travel all the way home by foot just for the hell of it. No matter what song was blasting into his ears only one thought was going through his mind the entire way back. "I can't wait to tell him. Sam is gonna be so damn proud."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day...
It came as no surprise to Lucas' that classroom A was empty when he swung open the door. He was about 30 minutes early for the first day of school after all. He cursed himself silently, while it was no bad thing to be punctual there was no point in being here this early, he'd just be sitting on his hands until the others arrived. "Still" he thought to himself "at least I can use this opportunity to take a closer look at this place."
Classroom A was identical to every other home room at IHA, long, rectangular and absolutely state of the art. At the front of the room stood a sleek interactive whiteboard so large it took up the entirety of the wall it was built into, and beneath that was a large wooden desk with a top of the range PC and monitor on it. The rest of the room was filled with smaller but no less impressive desks for the students, with three very large versions at the back of the room (Presumably for students who had mutations that caused them to be larger than average humans). A series of small camera like devices hung down from the celling above each desk, and after reading the leaflet IHA had sent to his house Lucas knew them to be holographic projectors. Interactive as well apparently.
He sat down at one of desks near the back of the room, dumping his rucksack under the table haphazardly, knowing full well that the small collection of pens and pencils would be fine within it. A yawn escaped Lucas' mouth as he sat there, no doubt caused by the fact he and his family had been up late celebrating the good news. It had been a great evening and a more than welcome change seeing his entire family that happy. It had been a while since he'd seen Samuel smile like that. Too long.
Suddenly the boy's eyes snapped up and he ran his fingers across the smooth wooden surface of his desk, savouring the feeling. His first day as real student of IHA. His future would be moulded by what he learnt in this room, this school. But that could wait another 5 minutes, he had time for a quick power nap. And with that he crossed his arms and leant back, catching a few moments rest before his other classmates showed up.
Yukino came running into Classroom A, only to see she wasn't the first student to be in the room, as Lucas was sitting in the back row of the room.
"Aw, man!" Yukino exclaimed, "I was hoping I could be the first one here! Even after waking up super early so I could do my morning exercises!" Yukino then laughed it off, and continued, "Oh well, second place isn't so bad!"
But, much to the dismay of Yukino and Lucas, they weren't the first students to arrive in the classroom. Hanging above the ceiling from a wall was Mary Jane Parker, and she was in fact the first person in the classroom.
Since MJ was the first in the classroom, to keep herself occupied she was reading book. But, when Yukino came rushing into the classroom, MJ was distracted from her train of thought. Glaring down at Yukino, she lowered down from her web and swiftly and silently crept behind and tapped Yukino's shoulder.
"Do you mind?" MJ said to the rambunctious Yukino, "I am trying to read."
Yukino let out a little shriek, and said, "I'm sorry! I'll try to be more quiet!" Yukino said this while having her head bowed down. Dang, she's scary! And, to make matters worse, I'm not even the second student here.... I AM THE THIRD!
Yukino felt defeated, but MJ just shrugged it off, and went back to the cieling to keep reading her book.
It wasn't long before the familiar Angel Winged Jihyo had arrived within the classroom. She quickly looked around the room to see that she was just only the 4th student that had entered the domains of Classroom A. She was genuinely surprised, she thought more students would be here early than anything. Who wouldn't be excited to learn the ways of a hero. Jihyo definitely was. Jihyo flew her way over to a window seat and sat down, not before folding her wings in of course.
Having so much free time at that moment, Jihyo did some observations with the students within the classroom with her currently. There was MJ, Yukino, and Lucas. The immediate presumption Jihyo had gotten right then and there was: What the heck are these people. Jihyo looked over to the only male within the room, Lucas, who was seemed like he was wanting to take a nap at his desk. Might she mention that it was currently mid-morning, so everyone should've clearly gotten decent sleep. Apparently not Lucas.
Jihyo turned her attention to Yukino who, at the moment, seemed down. What could've gotten her down in the morning. It's just the start of her day, what could've possibly happened for her to be down already. Jihyo assumed that Yukino probably just woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something. She understood perfectly.
Changing her gaze to the current widow, atop near a corner of a window, Jihyo immediately took notice to the female's spider legs. Jihyo saw them yesterday at the practice test thing, but didn't pay as close of attention as she is now. The latter was currently reading a book of sorts. Jihyo didn't personally care for the book, but her interest was piqued at the mutant user herself. Deciding it was maybe time to socialize, Jihyo got out of her seat. She gently flew up towards the spider girl, careful of not disrupting the girl's webbing with her flapping, Jihyo initiated the talk.
"Uh, hi?" Jihyo greeted awkwardly. What does one exactly say when greeting a stranger.
MJ put her book down as soon as she heard the voice of Jihyo Lee, a mutant user, such as herself, with angelic wings which could be used in so many ways, such as flight and attacking.
"Why, hello there," MJ responded, "You are Jihyo Lee, correct? I'm Mary Jane Parker. I would likr to say, you did really well in yesterdays tests, making it to the first spot in the 100m Sprint and Long Jump division. Now, is there anything you may want from me?"
Yukino's mood then turned a complete 180, as she heard Mary Jane and Jihyo talk. They were both girls, just like Yukino, and she wanted to socialize with them, so she immediately rushed herself towards them.
"Hi, girls!" Yukino said, "What are you guys talking about?"
MJ then turned her direction towards Yukino and responded, "Nothing much, really. If you'd like, you can join us."
Yukino squeeled a bit, and found a seat to sit next to the other girls.
Jihyo was about to continue their conversation, until Yukino came up to the pair of mutants to be part of their conversation. Not that Jihyo minded of course. She was always welcoming with socializing with people.
Where was she again? Ah, Mary Jane, MJ for short, had asked her a question and complimented her. “Ah yes, I am Jihyo Lee. Your compliments are appreciated so. I am honored, thank you. I just wanted to come by to say you were fascinating during the trials yesterday.” Jihyo said with a tint of glee in her voice.
Turning to the newer girl, Jihyo might as well compliment her too. She also did well yesterday. “Yukino I presume,” Jihyo said with a pause bothering continuing off. “You were also quite exquisite out there. Splendid job if I do say so myself of course.”
Gwenrhian
Gwenrhian took a deep breath, her eyes sparkling with iridescent blue light. She jogged lightly across the crisscrossing powerlines, careful to keep her balance as she navigated her way across the highrise roads. When she'd reached the campus she scaled down a nearby light post and passed through the school gates. She broke into a light jog as she crossed the schoolyard and approached the classroom, quickly ramping it up to a sprint as she rocketed towards the walls. She could already see a few of her classmates who'd already arrived, clearly, neither she nor her sisters had been the earliest of the bunch. Since the shortest distance towards a point was a straight line, and Gwenrhian had no intention of navigating the long route through the school's corridors, she mentally mapped a path into the classroom through the open window. With a light jump, she flew from the ground to the school's wall, her fingers latching onto the window's ledge. With a heave, she flipped herself over and through the window, vaulting over the row of desks nearest to the window and landing on one of the subsequent desks. A desk which just so happened to be Lucas'. Her skirt fluttered slightly, revealing itself to have been pinned to her stockings. She'd naturally already thought ahead and prepared for her acrobatic escapades. But that wasn't the point. She stared down at Lucas, her youngest sister having sung his praises for being an 'easy to get along with' type of person, which -when coming from Gwenerys- were high praises.
"Oh...you're-" She began before being interrupted by a loud cry of, "Fy Marchog!" The cry came from an almost identically copy of Gwenrhian, in fact, one of two who stood outside the classroom window, levitating on what appeared to be...a surfboard. Most noticeably about the three sisters -besides their queer entrance- was the fact that they all toted different hairstyles, making that rather easily identifiable. They'd all, for the most part, let most of their hair down while the remaining volume had been whipped into various auxiliary styles. Gwenrhian had a small bun perched on her head, held by a hair stick, Gweneira had simply held her hair together with a hairband and then thrown it over her shoulder, and Gwenerys had pulled the sides of her hair into thin twin-tails. The shout of Fy Marchog, which roughly translated to 'my knight' had, of course, come from the last of the three siblings.
The youngest of the three, and clearly the most excited, rushed over to her new 'subordinate'-but not before she summarily got stuck as the surfboard she'd been controlling jammed itself in the school window.
Lucas
Despite the entrance of two more students into the classroom Lucas had barely stirred, not quite asleep but not exactly conscious either. The sounds of the three girls conversing was merely a distant murmur to him, barely audible over his own thoughts. Currently those thoughts primarily consisted of "Damn I really should have gotten some more sleep last night" and "I'm surprised IHA desks dont come with built in pillows". It was only when he found himself face to face with a pair of stocking clad legs that he was brought back to the present, and quite abruptly at that, the sound of Gwenrhian landing deftly on his desk causing his eyes to fly open.
"Uh...hi?" was his uncertain response after a few moments of blank staring, such was the unexpectedness of this arrival. Upon hearing the words "Fy Marchog" come from somewhere outside the window of the second story room they sat in he peered around the honey coloured legs to spot two snowy haired girls battling to get inside atop a floating surfboard. Gweneira and his new friend (?) Gwenerys. So of course that left Gwenrhian to be the one in front of him. It was actually a relief to see that the three had decided to adopt individual hair styles today, it made the task of telling them apart significantly easier. He watched the almost comical scene taking place outside the window for a few seconds before looking up at Gwenrhian, suddenly glad that she'd had the foresight to pin her skirt to her stockings.
"Are they alright out there?" He asked, a hint of genuine concern for the two in his voice. He was also left pondering what Fy Marchog even meant, it wasn't English he knew that much. Probably something from the triplet's native tongue. However before he could get a reply classroom A's door swung wide open once more and the eyes of everybody in the room (And those not quite actually in it) were drawn to the brightly coloured figure that was Mr Busch, adorned today in a pastel pink sweater.
"Hello class! Glad to see so many of you are already here and ready for your first day, let me tell you now its going to be a doozy."
He announced in greeting to the assembled pupils, not batting an eye at the fact there was one student hanging from the ceiling, one on a desk and two floating outside the window atop a flying surfboard. No, instead of mentioning any of that he sat down heavily at his desk and flourished a hand towards the very door he had just came through. "Alright settle down folks, I have some introductions to make. As you may well know IHA takes on exchange students at various times throughout the year from other schools all over the world. Normally this doesn't occur until later in the year but we made an exception this time. Kids, come introduce yourselves."
Alice
It had been eventful few days for Alice, a mere 48 hours ago she was told that of all the students attending her academy in Sydney she'd been given the opportunity to enrol at IHA, a place she'd never dreamed of being able to learn how to become a hero. She'd been unsure at first but it hadn't taken long for Steven to convince her that it was the right choice, telling her that this wasn't the kind of chance you could pass up, the kind that could make both their dreams a reality. She'd put her trust in her adopted father and opted to take the next plane possible to Grafton, filling in the final official forms miles in the sky, already flying towards her destination. Or as she liked to see it, towards her future.
Now she stood outside a room full of others who had been given the same chance, passed the same entry requirements she had and she would be lying if she said she wasn't feeling a little bit nervous. But far stronger than that niggling feeling of anxiety was the warm buzz of excitement that was flowing her veins like electricity, showing clearly in her large yellow eyes. She stood in a foreign land, feet firmly planted within the greatest hero academy the world had to offer. Sure she was out of her depth but hey, she'd always been a strong swimmer. Time to make a good impression!
"G'day everybody, you can call me Alice and um.. yeah!" Alice smiled brightly, giving a wave with one hand, the other tucked behind her back. She then bowed her head slightly and made her way over to the nearest desk, red hair and tail bouncing along with every step. As she sat down she let out a quiet sigh of relief, glad that was now out of the way. She wasn't antisocial by any stretch of the word but nobody enjoys introducing themselves to a large group and she was no exception. The introduction had given her a decent chance to glance around the room and take note of her fellow classmates. Mostly female but that was by far one of the least interesting things about the group. She'd spotted wings, spider legs, three girls who were practically identical, the former of which was comforting, its always nice not to be the only person with an appearance altering mutation in the room. Anyway, just time for that Mexican guy to introduce himself and then class would be in session!
The man with dark black hair ran forward, flipping over a table to fire a few rounds from their pistol at a group of enemy soldiers who had just walked in. Every shot, for the most part was a success embedding itself somewhere in each enemy's flesh. The man removed the clip, and began to reload as more enemies walked in with large rifles. The man leapt back over the desk, as a cascade of bullets sunk into the table, and flying around the man. He kept his body and began to reload throughout the flurry of bullets his way. As the shots began to slow down, he came over the table and began to fire his own shots in return.
The screen of the game froze as Wade Gonzales pressed the button to pause the game on his phone, and exited the shooting game. He opened his list of recent texts and scrolled through them as the bullet train rushed along the tracks. This train he was on was soon to stop near The International Hero School, and the man was planning on walking there to attend class. He was one of the first years of the heroics course, yet had already missed his first day of class. But it had been worth whatever bickering or judgement he would receive from any teachers or students. He had spent the previous day, with his father.
His father was a Mexican who immigrated to the United States with the use of his quirk, not the usage of actual laws. While his marriage to his mother should have been enough to allow his father to stay and be there for his family, he had crossed the wrong people while trying to do what was right. And in return, those people got him deported to Mexico, thanks to a little bit of bribery. It wasn't everyday Wade and his mother had a chance to be with Wade's dad, so the boy had taken it. He was lucky his mom had raised enough money to fly his father into Japan. But the man had to leave, with work and his own plans. He was already saving money to move here with them and allow them to be a family again. Wade couldn't wait for that day.
<To: Mom>
<On my way to school. Love ya>
Wade sent the text and slid the phone in his pocket as the train began to loose momentum and come to a stop. He stood up from his seat and walked towards the doors as they opened and left the train, giving a jog towards class.
Wearing his school uniform for the rest of the jog to class got him a few stares. Nothing concerning, but he stood out a bit in his black and gold uniform compared to the normal person walking. As he looked at the building as he got closer to it, his heart began to beat faster. He was here, and this was where things would begin to heat up. "I'm ready," he whispered under his breath as he gazed forward.
--
Wade stepped forward into the classroom, and his gazed examined those in the room. There seemed to be a variety of people, with three people who looked exactly alike, a spider girl, a girl who introduced herself as Alice, and a few others. "Hey guys. So my name is Wade Gonzales, and I'm from America." He pushed his crimson bangs away from his face and gave a faint smile and a wave towards the class.
MJ smiled, and said to Jihyo, "Why, thank you. I did the best that I could in each of them, and I am glad with the scores that I was able to make."
"Yep, that's me!" Yukino responded cheerfully to Jihyo, but then she groaned as soon as Jihyo mentioned the fitness tests. "Thanks, but I wish I could've done better," but then, in a complete 180, Yukino exclaimed, "But with enough training, I know I can do much better than what I did before!"
MJ then continued with, "I'd say that's a good mindset to follow."
MJ then focused on her attention to the two new students who entered the classroom, Wade Gonzales and Alice. Both students weren't part of the fitness training from yesterday, but they somehow made it into IHA. MJ made sure to keep a mental note of both of the students and what quirks they might possess.
Gwenrhian
Without further ado Gwenrhian slid off of Lucas' desk. She'd given him a long hard stare before finally responding with a demure nod, "It's a pleasure." She was silent for a few moments, a curious flame flickering in her eyes as they flitted back and forth between Gwenerys and Lucas. Her lips curved upwards in an enigmatic smile and she patted Lucas on the shoulder reassuringly(?), "Good Luck." With that said she strode towards the window and assisted her siblings in pulling the surfboard through the classroom's window.
After a moment's lapse, the three siblings sat down one behind the other, Gwenerys first, followed up by Gweneira and Gwenrhian. As the pair of new students introduced themselves, the siblings watched with rapt interest. Each having very different thoughts but showing 'interest' nonetheless, Gwenrhian had taken notice of the girl's more reptilian traits and was attempting to deduce the nature of the girl's quirk. 'It clearly isn't the rather leathery hide of a crocodilian nor the smooth scales of a serpent, and neither is it the almost wrinkly skin of a monitor lizard...Ah well, I'll see at some point.' Gweneira on the other hand was more interested in whether the girl would be able to regrow her tail if it'd been cut off...hypothetically speaking of course. It wasn't as if she'd been pondering using the girl's blood to create a regeneration potion or anything of that sort. That'd be wrong, immoral even!
The last of the siblings, Gwenerys had simply taken note that both new students had red hair despite being unrelated...or were they? Her eyes glossed over as her mind conjured a dastardly series of conspiracy theories in which the siblings were in fact siblings from different mothers and the dangers of forbidden love that could bloom between them. When she'd finally returned to reality a queer expression suffused her face and she stared excitedly at the two new students.
Things like this were exactly why Gwenrhain had insisted that she stay seated behind the both of them. The strange ideas that ran through their minds were written all over their faces, and Gwenrhain had, of course, been the first to notice. Having lied with her siblings for years, she'd developed a 6th sense for their antics. A few brief seconds later two identically short and painful cries eeped their way across the classroom followed by a dulcet of sharp pings as two marbles fell to the floor.
Tetsu strolled into the class with an attitude slightly to casual for someone who was showing up late. His head perked up at a new scent in the room, a new person to greet.
He followed the short trail to his target, retracing the few short steps Wade had taken into the classroom, stopping to examine the new face. The crimson boy gave off a strange scent, the air of a hot summer day mixed with some kind of strange chemical, it didn't seem like a threat...yet, but that might be a hint as to what his quirk may be, warm chemical reaction of some sort? He was curious to know.
"Its nice to meet young Wade, glad you weren't to late, my names Tetsu, excited to be here?" He questioned a bit to fast, holding his hand out to greet the newest member of his class.
"Time for the age old question, friend or foe?" He laughed internally at his own thoughts, wandering how this coin-flip encounter would turn out, either way was fine with him.
Lucas
Despite keeping a straight face as Gwenrhain hopped down from the desk to assist her sisters Lucas' was no more sure of what was going on. He'd been on the verge of sleep only moments ago, his brain hadn't woken up enough to process this. "Good luck", what was that supposed to mean? With the first day of school perhaps? Those triplets, an interesting bunch to say the least. Only time would tell if he'd ever be able to wrap his head around their antics. Anyway something important was happening, two new students had been introduced to the group, one female and one male. He had made note of the fact that transfer students were an almost inevitable possibility here at IHA but as Mr Busch said it was unusual for them to pop up this early on in the year. He'd heard that the online tests to enrol had been particularly tough this year so maybe they decided to bulk out the ranks by bringing in transfer students.
The new girl was interesting, some kind of reptilian mutation had gifted her with a rather magnificent tail and scales. He'd seen reptilian quirks before and knew they could manifest in a number of ways, prehensile tongues, venom, sticky pads on feet, e.t.c . That was if her physical mutation was the main part of her quirk. The guy on the other hand gave essentially no clues as to what his quirk might be. Bar his red hair he looked as normal as the next person. Only time would tell what interesting abilities had landed this duo in this class. Noting that their teacher had suddenly perked up Lucas put the brakes on his train of thought and straightened up, arms crossed and eyes sharp as he waited to hear what the man had to say.
Mr Busch had waited until the two new students had sat down before continuing to speak to the class, his booming voice easily carrying to the back of the classroom. "Okay now that were all settled down and we've got to know each other a bit lets move on to your first session of hero training! In the lockers on the far right of the room are some mock ups of the hero costumes you submitted with your applications. Stick them on and then meet me down in urban simulation D. Girls if you want to go into the empty classroom next door to change, boys just stay here. Don't leave me waiting!"
And with that the pink clad man got up from his seat and practically skipped out the classroom door, his usual broad smile plastered across his face. As the sound of cheerful whistling disappeared down the hall a set of lockers slid out of the wall with a pneumatic hiss, each one labelled with the initials of a student.
Lucas rose from his seat, eyes scanning the row of lockers for his own initials. It didn't take him long to find the letters L.W printed on the centre of one of the locker doors, right beside a sophisticated looking fingerprint scanner. The ghost of a smirk played around the boys lips as he put his finger on the scanner, watching it turn green for a few moments before a loud click signalled that it was unlocked. Of course a key would have been too simple for IHA, he wouldn't be surprised if the bathrooms needed a 12 digit passcode in this place.
Retrieving the outfit within Lucas returned to his desk, patiently waiting for the girls to leave the classroom before he got changed.
Alice
A slight panic sent Alice's heart a flutter when she heard Mr Busch announce that they would be proceeding with their first session of hero training immediately. She had barely finished squishing her rucksack between her feet and she was already expected to be prepared for training? Well say what you want, IHA doesn't wait around and that, she told herself as she supressed nervous butterflies, was fine by her.
The girl's yellow eyes glanced around the room to find that some students had already leapt into action and upon seeing so did the same, swiftly making her way over to the row of lockers with a series of bounds. As she applied her thumb to the futuristic looking scanner she couldn't help but wonder if the support company who designed their hero costumes would have taken any liberties with the rough sketch she'd given them, considering her lack of skills in the art department any ideas the professionals had applied to her outfit would probably be a good thing.
Alice gently plucked her hero costume from its metal cage, carrying it aloft far more carefully than was warranted considering the toughness of these things. Recalling what Mr Bush had said about using the empty classroom next door she hurriedly left the boys behind, eager to get a better look at her costume.
Bursting into the deserted classroom B she proceeded to lay the suit out on the first desk she could, unfolding it so she could examine it in all it's glory. After a few seconds to take it all in her face split into a broad smile and she brought her hands together in glee. It was perfect, just the what she had envisioned sitting back at her laptop in Australia. The ensemble consisted of a black leather jacket that only reached the wearer's sides, a forest green shirt that was made of some form fitting material, a belt with a simple metal buckle and black trousers (with a tail hole of course) made of the same material as the shirt. Some of the finer details she noticed were the orange spiral on the back of the leather jacket and the pair of orange tinted goggles that were hidden underneath the shirt.
Overcome with excitement she hurriedly changed, not in the least embarrassed about doing it in front of the other girls and checked herself out using the camera on her phone. A tiny squeal escaped her lips. She looked badass! Or at least in her own opinion, but to be honest she didn't care what anybody else thought. Fully geared up she now felt like a true hero in the making, ready for whatever IHA had prepared for them as their first task! Unless it was a written exam, she hated those. But anything else!
“Nice to meet you Testu,” Wade said with a faint smile. “I guess for the most part. I’d expect everyone to be though too.” He stuck his hand out to intercept Testu’s hand and shook it. Wade broke the handshake as their teacher spoke, explaining what would happen.
He walked towards the locker with the label, WG and pressed his thumb flat against the scanner. He listened as it gave the click the the LED light turned to a green shade. He opened it to get a good look at his hero costume. While Wade wasn’t an expert of fashion, he didn understand usefulness. He had designed his quirk to allow him to move freely however he wanted to in a fight, and increase the strength of his quirk.
As the girls left the classroom, leaving the males alone, Wade unbuttoned his shirt and blazer and undid his tie, setting it all in the locker. He stood there bare chested, as he removed his own costume, examining it in its entirety. The suit was very simplistic, yet Wade thought it was still a good one. It consisted of a crimson red sleeveless shirt, with black shoulder pads. There was a pair of black boots with armored pants and knee pads. It came with a pair of armored red gloves, that were designed to increase the range and power of his individual blasts. The final piece of the costume was something he didn’t expect. In his sketches and request for the costume, he had requested a red and black bandana to cover his mouth that was able to filter out smoke. But instead, he actually got a large red helmet. It even had a large visor that would slide up out of sight, if Wade wished to reveal his face. It even seemed to have the capabilities to allow him to see through smoke, instead of simply filtering it solely.
As he put the costume on, he was suprised at the lightness of it. The helmet and gloves, which looked to be the heaviest aspects of the costume, was somewhat light. The fabric wasn’t very restricting either. The shirt and pants were almost skin tight, with a little bit of looseness, to allow movement. After getting suited up, he made his way towards Urban Simulation D.
Upon arriving, he saw he was one of the earliest people there. Him, a few other students, and Mr. Busch. Behind their teacher was a areplica of a city, it looked to be pretty cool, and he could have some real fun here.
Both Yukino and MJ grabbed their suitcases that held their hero costume.
Mary Jane did as Mr. Busch instructed and headed off into the other classroom to change into the hero costume that was custom made to fit all of her quirks necessities. Honestly, she was really excited as she made the basic outline of the costume and made sure to include the materials needed to make the costume. She honestly wanted to make the costume herself, but she thought of it time-consuming and it would be in much better quality if it was done by the professionals of IHA.
Yukino, however, failed to listen to Mr. Busch's instructions and stayed in the classroom with the boys, failing to notice that all of the other girls had left quite a while ago. But she was too excited to even care. She quickly opened the suitcase that held her hero costume and got ready to change. She then started by taking off her shirt, which then showed off her extremely muscular condition.
Gwenerys
By the time Mr. Busch's words had landed the trio of sisters were no longer present. When the sisters had snatched their costumes and entered the classroom, clothes flew off as a whirlwind of bronze skin and white hair whipped their little corner of the classroom into chaos. Nevertheless, they'd somehow managed to get dressed in what must surely be an Olympic record. Just as quickly as they'd come, they were gone. Gwenrhian had leapt through the classroom's window, scaling the wall as if it'd been flat ground, except instead of heading towards the ground she'd made her way onto the roof. From her higher vantage point, she quickly spotted the city simulation block and Urban simulation D. Next was a simple process of ferrying herself across the high-rise building to her target location, her steel thread and daggers replacing grappling hooks.
Gwenerys' was, of course, different. She stood outside the classroom's window, floating regally(?) upon her surfboard. She was naturally waiting for Lucas. Although she could control the trajectories of objects, much like she was doing with the surfboard she was riding, the weight of the object did limit what she could manipulate. She couldn't, for example, manipulate the trajectory of the earth as it revolved around the sun, and her own weight, when added to the surfboard, limited the speed she could achieve while flying. That was where Lucas came in. His ability to somewhat 'lighten' objects meant that control things under the influence of his quirk become hundreds of times easier, and she was rather eager to test her theories.
"Fy Marchog! Hitherto the voice of thy Monarch who requests thy presence!" From her lofty position outside the classroom, she called towards her friend, paying no heed to the other members of the class who were still changing or the fact that Yukino was the rather odd one out, being the only girl left in the classroom. It was only natural that she test her theory as soon as possible, and as such, she was offering him a ride on her surfboard. Even if the words she spoke sounded nothing like that.
As for Gweneira? She'd simply taken the stairs, opting to walk towards Urban Block D. She certainly wasn't as excitable as her sisters... or at least, not in this case. Cloaked in her overcoat she appeared to be a walking piece of cloth as she traversed the halls of IHA. Though she paid no attention to the odd looks from students still seated in the classrooms she passed.
Jihyo followed the teacher's direction as everyone else did. She picked up her suitcase containing the initials and her hero costume and headed to the empty classroom next door along with most of the other female classmates. She was shaking. She was nervous but also quite excited. It was the first day of superhero training. Who wouldn't be excited?
Jihyo picked an empty desk to place her suitcase. She opened the metal container with a click and pulled out her prototype hero costume she had requested for. The costume was simple really. It wasn't over the top. There really wasn't any perks that any costume could do to improve Jihyo's quirk. Her quirk, after all, is Angel Wings. There wasn't much to her power except flight and feather manipulation. There was also minimal self health regeneration, but it wasn't really much.
Jihyo quickly changed into her costume. The superhero outfit consisted of a silver metal chest plate with a feather top that covered her chest and collar bones and exposing stomach. She also wore metal boots that reached her knees, with sharp heels that was useful for physical combat. It was going to be hard to walk in, but she's going to be flying most of the time. Accommodating the metal pieces were skin tight white leggings that covered one thigh, but left the other out in the open. Her hands were protected by finger-less metal gauntlets that reached her forearm. Her wings had a metal rimming that protected the spine of the wings.
Her outfit may seem unprotected and exposed, sure. But this was to compliment her quirk. If her body weight was too heavy, she wouldn't be able to carry herself. She might not even able to lift herself off the ground. Thus it's better to be safe than sorry and get something light for Jiihyo.
