Here we go... my first attempt at making a Playground game, and it's about songs, my favourite thing ever. Can You Finish The Verse is a game where the first player puts in the lyrics to a part of a song they know. Then the next player has to continue the lyrics of the song, then do their own song. (Also, if you don't know the song the above person has put without googling it, then just put that you don't know that song.) As an example: Player 1 Starts with: "Got your head spinning runnin' circles around you! With a baseball bat that I'm using to pound you! I'll be up in your face in the blink of an eye! No I don't got wings but I don't need 'em to fly!" Player 2 continues with: "With a couple double jumps, I'll be fleein' the zone! Pick up your intel quick, then I'm brinin' it home! I'm a pretty big deal, that's the honest truth! I mean, do you even know who you're talkin' to?" Then Player 2 says, in the same post, lyrics like: "Must've been 2:11 when the world ended. Least it felt like it at the time. Teenage years make a heartbreak worse, plus a lot was going on, couldn't stop it at the time." And it goes on and on. I'll start: Life's a show, and we all play a part! And when the music starts... We open up our hearts.
"It's alright if some things come out wrong We'll sing a happy song And you can sing along~" "Believer, your spotlight on the subject so incorrect And suggestion suggests that I'm someone you should not respect Oh you wear your facade so well, covered up in a plastic shell You're a liar to everyone around you, just don't forget..."
"Face the honest truth, you were never you. Now be defiant, the lion. Give them the fight that will open their eyes. Hangman hooded, softly swinging Don't close the coffin yet, I'm alive." "Just wanted to make them proud... But you can tell ups from downs... It's all alright."
We can find company In hearts that all beat in sync We're all alright Written in stone, every rule, every word Centuries old and unbending
"Stay in your place Better seen and not heard But now that story is ending." "Colours weave into a spire of flame. Distant sparks call to a past still unnamed."
"Bear this torch against the cold of the night Search your soul and reawaken the undying light!" "All I see is, shattered pieces I can't keep it, hidden like a secret
"From all this pain in the world we made. Everyday you need a bulletproof vest. Just save yourself from what you could never guess When I step outside in the wars we wage." "Lost track of all the kills I've been counting. Call me crazy. You're just another notch on my belt. I'm sorry baby."
"When they die, they rise again They'll never set their eyes on the daylight again And that will never change You can't escape but you can hang" "Do you feel like a man When you push her around Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground?"
"Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end. As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found." "Fall into the hands of sorrow, drawn by the darkest bay! Walk into the pit of silence, I am the one calling your name!"
"I in the name of violence Sentence you down to hell" "I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning, I sleep alone Sweep the streets I used to own"
"I used to roll the dice Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes Listened as the crowd would sing Now the old king is dead long live the king." "Every single night, the same arrangement. I go out and fight the fight. Still I always feel, the strange estrangement, that nothing here is real, that nothing here is right."
"I've been making shows of trading blows, just hoping no one knows That I've been going through the motions, walking through the part Nothing seems to penetrate my heart." "I used to dream myself to somewhere else each night I dreamed in color 'cause I lived in black and white Until I chanced upon this road that led to you I could not see how anything could be..."
"Until i chanced upon this road that led to you I could not see How anything could be" "Birds flying high You know how I feel Sun in the sky You know how I feel Breeze driftin' on by You know how I feel"
I'm pretty sure the point of the game was songs you know, as opposed to Google the last person's post and copy-paste. And not only that, you've also copy-pasted the wrong segment while you're at it. But then I suspect it is kind of an obscure one I dropped on you. Carry on then. >>; (To clarify, whomever posts in this thread next - you can still complete Umbreon06's most recent song and throw in a new one. I don't recognize that one.)
"It's a new dawn It's a new day It's a new life For me And I'm feeling good I'm feeling good" new song "Often I am upset That I can not fall in love But I guess, This avoids the stress of falling out of it"
(OK, so I'm gonna add a new rule. If you cannot recognise the song without googling it, then you should just say something along the lines of: "Sorry, I don't know that song.") I haven't heard that song. "I'm not a stranger to the dark. Hide away, they say, 'cause we don't want your broken parts."
"I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars, 'Run away,' they say, No one will love you as you are." "Somebody once told me The world was gonna roll me I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed."
"She was lookin' kinda dumb With her finger and her thumb In the shape of an L on her forehead." "I'm supposed to be a mute, but that ain't the truth. Love wearin' my blue tie and hair."
"Just to let you know You're not the last one to go I was the last one to Watch you gasp for air" "All of these thoughts running through my head Arms on fire veins burning red Frustration is getting bigger"
