A young lady, dressing up for battle, heard her machine whir to life. Next to her was the portal device, capable of taking her anywhere within reason. She had no idea of its capabilities, but she knew it could teleport within a dimension. She was going to test if she could teleport to another dimension, which would put a lot of strain on the machine. Hopefully her friend will be able to fix it to create the portal and bring her back. This machine had turned on and was making diagnostic checks to find any bugs or viruses.
This lady, known as Marija (Mar-ee-yah), or Mara for short, put her hair in a ponytail, her weapons on her back, as well as her mechanical exo-suit in backpack form capable of hooking up to her nervous system. She tightened all the straps on her body and put her comm system in her ear. She turned it on, hoping that she could hear everyone from a dimension over. She did tweak it for it to happen, but she doesn't know if it would work. It should work, but this is the only viable test option.
She took out her shurikens, throwing daggers, and swords and began to clean them one last time before sheathing them and making a portal. The machine shook and whirred, almost straining to create something so complex. Hopefully the Australium core and battery would allow it to not falter. If not, then she'll be stranded in another universe until her friends could fix it. She left a note on the counter about the coordinates of where she's going and took her contracts with her just in case. The portal finally opened, and it was a strange color, maybe because it broke through the veil and void to take her there. She breathed in and out, calming herself before jumping into this crazy ride.
She hopped in and saw everything whiz by so fast, but with the absence of air. She felt almost non-existent. All the black holes and then the void. She closed her eyes, not wanting to see it all. She then felt air brush up on her and she opened her eyes, seeing that she's near the exit. She smiled and prepared to land.
Her impeccable landing and timing skills won and she landed without any injuries. She saw the place was covered in dust and she wiped off the dust from her dark RED suit. She saw a fragment sitting on a podium and picked it up. It gave off a cold energy, and it was black with a white dot. She thought it reminded her of some symbol back in her Earthly home. She looked around and saw how ancient this was. Since this place felt a lot like Earth's she thought that the machine must've broke and forced her in another place.
Then she saw the lady up ahead... She saw the gleaming of the scythe and the hoverboard becoming a compact rectangular prism before clipping onto the woman's belt. Mara smirked and thought she remembered her from a contract. She took a peak at her contracts that she brought with her just in case the machine failed at bringing her to another dimension and saw the same woman, labeled as "Dangerous!!". Mara guessed she was wanted for some horrible crime, or this was her dimensional counterpart. Either way, putting both possibilities on hold, she pocketed the Yin fragment and crossed her arms, looking smug at the woman before her.
