Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
What my friend did was do a Nuzlocke of Pokemon Moon, and when they died, he only put them in a separate PC box. When he lost, he brought everyone back and acted like it was a regular run.
Okay. Charizard works too. I'd recommend Fletchling since it's early on, and Charmander can replace it if that works. Aegislash is boss, and Gogoat can help as well. Best of luck.
I've actually done Pokemon Showdown with a Mega Charizard Y. He can get set up as a heavy wall breaker. Solar Beam, wipes out Water types. And then get some STAB moves in there. The fourth can be either for more coverage or for Stat Boosts.
Yeah, Charizard Y is honestly much better than X, at least competitively. I have Solar Beam, Flamethrower, Sunny Day or Air Slash or Dragon Pulse, and Ancient Power.
To answer your question...yes it's ability is Drought. But Drought is turned base, so just in case the effects of Drought have ended, I can use Sunny Day.
Oh, yeah, I didn't really think about that. Normally what happens to me, is that they send out their Water Pokemon out early, and by the time Drought is finished, I don't really have a use for Solar Beam. Still I see what you're talking about.
But you're forgetting one crucial type, a type that is a huge weakness for Charizard...ROCK! 4x super effective! But Solar Beam would annihilate any rock types.
