Private/Closed The Fall of Team Luna...(A Pokemon Ranger/ Pokemon Trainer RP)

*Fin folded his arms as he listened to Lola explain the situation, his eyes having widened slightly as he saw the map of the island appear, surprised by its size and how populated it was. As the three locations were highlighted Fin would let out a light hum, his mind racing over the different locations and the likelihood of team Luna setting up in there. The abandoned town is difficult to get too and would be a good hideout but it would also be a risky option since if another storm blew in it would be very dangerous for team Luna. The ancient ruins could have a secret underground areas which would make for a great hideout, not to mention the possibility of some sort of ancient weapon but that was a small possibility and the structure could be unstable and once again dangerous to set up a main base. Finally the cave systems would be tricky to navigate and potentially dangerous if there was low amounts of oxygen and potential cave ins.*

*As he heard that the head ranger had cleared out a few dorms for them to stay in he would smile gently in thanks, giving a small and then turning around to follow her with the rest of the group in a calm and orderly fashion. Sparky on the other hand, was still creeped out by the Physic type Espeon and had bolted into the elevator, standing next to the head rangers daughter while he swished he tail side to side impatiently. Fin arrived in the elevator a few seconds afterwards, looking down to his Pachirisu and rolling his eyes slightly, the electric squirrel folding his arms and pouting in response*

Alexis followed the girl through Ranger HQ towards the dorms, she saw that Rangers watched them go by. She tensed a little when Delta saw the basketball court out a window he started to run off. A few Rangers had started to block Delta’s progress but one of his Pokemon caught him luckily and Alexis relaxed too as the Rangers went back to their business, still staring. Kayley rolled her eyes, “Please stay with the group you are not allowed to go off on your own in HQ or the compound.” She said in what sounded like a perfect imitation of a scolding parent, but with a childish giggle at the end.

She turned back around and kept heading down one hall and then turned a corner. A dead end hallway extended forward with 5 doors, two on one side and three on the other. “These first 2 doors on your left lead to dorms for the Rangers who are going with you on the trip, the last door on the left leads to a shared common room and the two doors to your right lead to your two dorms, each dorm contains 6 beds so plenty of room, you can split between the two dorms however you like, normally the Rangers share a dorm with their classmates. Each dorm also has two private bathrooms. Each Bed also has a footlocker you can use to store anything you wish, just punch in a code to lock it and unlock it with the same code. It’s almost dinner time and I’m sure you are all hungry, when the Rangers arrive they will bring you to the dining hall on the other side of the compound.” Alexis grinned as Kayley explained their dorms, opening doors and showing them what was going on. Kayley walked back to the end of the Hall. “I think that is all, oh but please don’t leave this hallway without a Ranger with you, most of the Rangers don’t want you here, it wouldn’t be safe to wander off….” She looked a little sad at this thought, but shrugged and waved to all the trainers. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow when you leave! Bye!” She said and then took off down the hallway.

Alexis glanced at the other Trainers. “Any Ideas how we want to split up?.....” She asked quietly, not minding if she had to share a dorm, but also secretly hoping they would split guys and girls so she could have the whole dorm to herself, selfish yes, but it would be so wonderfully peaceful. She stood in the doorway of the dorm closest to the corner that Kayley had disappeared around a few seconds ago.

Lola waited as all the trainers disappeared into the elevator. Once she was sure they were gone she grimaced a little. “Okay Rangers you have been briefed on the joint mission with the Trainers, but I have a very important mission just for you. I don’t fully trust the trainers to just fight off Team Luna and then leave. I can’t trust them on this Island around the Pokemon we have here, I can’t Have them ruining our lifestyle even more while helping us get rid of Team Luna. That would be almost as troublesome as Team Luna’s antics. So I have paired you up with the Trainers and you are to watch them, go with them everywhere don’t let them out of your sight not even for a second. Make sure they only get rid of Team Luna and nothing else. It’s vital that we get rid of Team Luna and then get the Trainers off our Island again. So Lin and Entari you are paired with Delta and Keith. Diana, Marina and Zeke you are paired with Fin and Alexis.” As Lola spoke she used her hands a lot and her two Pokemon just watched her with tilted heads and swishing tails. “And Kennedy I am assigning you as a supervisor, you are to keep an eye on the group as a whole and keep an eye out for any suspicious behavior.” She finally clapped her hands together. “Alright that’s all for now, You will need to escort the Trainers to the Dinning hall for dinner tonight and breakfast tomorrow at 7am, be here ready to leave at 8am sharp! Now go before the Trainers try to wander off somewhere.” Lola said with a shooing motion of her hands to wave the Rangers to the elevators.

Lola had explained the mission for what would be the second time for the rangers. Diana wasn’t normally one to get bored, but she couldn’t stop her eyes from wandering during her superior’s speech.

The dancer had taken to observing everyone in the room again, trying to get a glimpse of the other’s reactions. A pang of guilt struck her as she realized that she probably looked like the least interested person in the whole group. Everyone else was paying attention while she childishly tried to find some sort of distraction.

With her cheeks feeling slightly hot, the dancer returned her eyes to Lola and listened to the rest of the briefing. ‘Like someone who is responsible and mature’ she mentally scolded herself.

Any of the locations would suit her just fine. She’d trained herself to be amiable, so she found herself able to fit most molds. This was, in part, why she’d become a Ranger in the first place.

As blasphemous as it would be for her to say, Diana truly didn’t share the same perspective of trainers as some of the other rangers did. The first one she’d met when she was young had been kind to her, and that left an impression that trainers were kind people in general, as terrible as it was to perpetuate any form of stereotype.

Regardless, she found the Rangers to be a noble cause. They treated her well, and in turn she did as she was told. Living in harmony with pokemon was their ultimate goal, and that just-so-happened to be Diana’s goal as well. Excluding the recent events involving Team Luna, Almia had been quite silent. Silence was perhaps the only thing Diana loved with every fiber of her being.

Lola finished bringing the trainers up to date on their mission. She excused them, and as though they were magnetized, Diana’s eyes once again returned to Alexis. She wasn’t entirely sure why she kept looking at the trainer, but she knew she would likely need to stop at some point. The poor girl was probably anxious enough as it was without a ranger stalking her, or making her think that even Diana didn’t trust her.

After the trainers had piled into the elevator and sank to the lower levels, Diana soon found out that distrust may have actually been a part of the mission.

Lola addressed the rangers, telling them to keep an eye on the trainers to ensure they didn’t catch any wild pokemon and disrupt the peace of Almia. Did she truly think these trainers were comparable to untrained animals? Or was it because of their youth? Perhaps Delta needed a handler, but it seemed wrong to only assume the worst of any group of people.

Diana stiffened. Her thoughts had trailed off again, and for a moment she felt like she’d be reprimanded for even thinking about questioning Lola’s decision. The head of the rangers had done quite a lot for her, and for everyone else. The very least Diana could do to repay that debt was have faith in her plan.

“Yes, ma’am,” she said softly before turning and leaving the room without another word.

The elevator ride down was encompassed with the same silence that Diana enjoyed. She didn’t try to engage in conversation with the other rangers. Truthfully, she didn’t want to.

What was there to say? They’d gotten their mission, now they needed to carry out their tasks with expedience and discipline. The details may have been different, but this was the same dance as every other mission. Diana wondered whether or not some of the older members of the organization could recognize the pattern in their missions, or if she was simply applying abstraction liberally.

One thing was for sure, dinner sounded awfully good about now. The dancer hadn’t eaten in a little while, not since breakfast anyway.

Ezekiel stood behind even the line of Rangers. He was watching closely, intent on learning just how these much more experienced Rangers handled their business. First off, not looking like a total idiot on the first day in front of not only other Rangers, but his boss and the trainers as well. Good going. He let out a sigh thinking back to his clumsiness.

At that point Lola had begun her speeches first speaking directly to the Trainers. While not directed to him, he would still take in her words, her actions, anything else that could be taken up to make him a great like her. Her two Pokemon looking just as graceful and becoming of a leaders companions. He thought back to Buizel. He couldn't even feed him right.

At the end of her first speech the trainers were instructed to follow Lola's daughter. A young girl, who looked as though she could hold her own. Zeke turned slightly to watch as they all walked out, making careful to not make it look as though he was staring. No point in making them feel uncomfortable at all. The boy quickly turned back as The Head Ranger began to speak once again. This time it was to him, and it was important. He listened carefully. Hugging the Buizel he cradled in his arms.

The list went on, thoughts, intentions, plans, times and so on. Zeke took it all in. It was easy enough to remember. Keep an eye out and stick with your team...
Your team... A sudden involuntary chill rode the boys spine. He knew Marina, but he didn't know the others. His lateness caused him to miss the introductions to the trainers. As well as being quite knew, he didn't know the other Rangers very well. Luckily, Marina was partnered with him. He could find comfort in at least one person he believed was his friend. However, who was Diana. He tried really hard to rack his brain. Which one was it? After some time in thought, he came to the conclusion, that it should be the girl with the Snake Pokemon. At least, he thought so.

[Buuuuuiii] a low mumble from Jet snapped him back to the reality he seemed to have left in his deepened thought. Oh no, everyone had already started leaving. He was just standing there like an imbicil once again. Two points for Ezekiel! The boy quickly took a bow, his Buizel dangling in his arms, a confused look for his buddies actions.
"Thank you ma'am!" The boy would say, probably at an unnecessarily loud volume. He would quickly pivot on one foot, his second already in stride as he would quickly make his way to the elevator.

[Bui. Buuui, buiiiiii] the water weasel would quip, wiggling out of Zeke's grasp and spinning around the boys arm until he sat properly on his shoulder.

"Yea, well you didn't help much either snatching it out of my hand." The boy would quip back, trying to jump into the elevator doors befor they shut. He gave an apologetic wave as he pushed himself, back against the wall.

[Buuui, buizel] Jet would whisper in his ear, resting his head on the top of Zeke's letting his long body fall limp on his shoulder legs falling to either side.

"You're right, those cats were pretty scary..." The boy would whisper out the corner of his mouth, trying not to disturb anyone in this eerily silent elevator ride.

Lin stood in line with the other rangers as she watched the trainers follow behind Kayley. Lin had a small smile at this, as she really liked Kayley. The girl was skilled and competent at her age and she held a deep love of pokemon that even Lin had to acknowledge. There were a few times that Lin and Kayley had gone off into the woods together, and Lin had shown the girl some natural sights that she had shown no other human being in the forest. She smiled thinking of the girl's wondrous smile when she snapped her attention back to Lola after her finely tuned senses detected a shift in the Rangers stance.

Lin listened as Lola gave out her orders. She was happy at least that Lola was not being a complete fool and did not trust the trainers. She wanted them monitored at all times and not allowed to do anything but the job they came here to do. Then she wanted them off the Island before they could cause any trouble or disrupt their way of life. She started to think that maybe this would not be such a bad experience at all. Then she heard the assigned pairings and her scowl returned. She was being paired with the cocky young boy that she had nearly throttled earlier today. Lin growled slightly thinking at how hard the hyperactive kid would be to keep focused, and what measures she would have to use for control.

Her scowl further deepened when she heard that the rangers would be required to stay at the compound dorms. Lin hated sleeping in large human structures like this. It made her paranoia so much worse not being able to rely on the sounds and traits of the forest to alert her to danger. She sighed and resigned herself to a very restless night with low sleep. She figured at some point later she would slip out and take a walk through the woods, or sit on the top of the compound roof for a bit. She looked back at Arrow and saw that he too was already restless and further mirrored his trainers mindset. He looked back at Lin, "We hunt later?" Lin nodded to her brother, and whispered, "Yes brother we hunt later."

Lin and Arrow slipped quietly and smoothly out of the room as soon as Lola finished her speech. The pair moved together like silent green shadows. Neither made a single sound as they made their way through the compound.

Entari was uncharacteristically silent on the walk back to base camp. She had absolutely no idea what to expect from the the trainers. Her mind was entirely occupied by the scene with Lin and the boy, Delta. Lin may not have the social skills to deal with this. Entari realized as she thought about the mission and its upcoming trials. I want us all to come through this together.

Base camp never failed to amaze Entari in its sheer size or impressiveness. The amount of electronic capability inside the building usually set people to rethinking their ideas that Rangers were backwoods. When the trainers and rangers finally reached the command center, Entari felt the tension rolling off Lola. Lola certainly hates this plan. Entari mused as she looked over the head ranger's tight expression.

Entari listened to the polite speech given to the trainers as Lola explained their purpose here, and she could help but think that Lola was completely conning these people. She understood that Lola merely wanted their assistance, but it felt wrong to Entari to ask the trainers here and expect them to not have an affect on anyone here. How were the trainers supposed to help if they weren't allowed to interact with the island at all. Then there was Lin's reactions to the whole ordeal. Lin hated staying in the compound, she hated the civilized nature of it, she hated people, pretty much this whole mission reeked of everything that Lin despised in the world. Entari prayed that she could keep Lin from murdering the Trainer's in their sleep, and then Lola said it, " Lin and Entari will be paired with Delta and Keith." to Entari it was like she had been stabbed. Just how in the blazes am I supposed to keep Lin from murdering that kid? Entari Sighed. The trainers were being led away by Lola's daughter to their dorm's.

Zeke had been late and Entari could tell he was starving, she reached into her pack and tossed him an apple and two meal bars. "This will hold you over til dinner" she whispered as Lola gave them the perimeters of their mission again. Not for the first time, Entari felt as though she was lying to the trainers. She had no love for them, but she felt they deserved to know from the door that they were not wanted here but that the situation was dire enough that they were needed.

Entari entered the elevator listening to the exchanges between rangers and pokemon companions. She knew the special bonds between pokemon and ranger. She wondered if trainers ever developed those kinds of bonds. It seemed to her today that some seemed to. Tonight would be long. Lin wouldn't want to deal with dinner or the trainers. She just hoped she wouldn't get stuck with them alone.

Fin listened to Kalely explain the layout of the halls and took a mental note of the rooms they could have and what was inside of them, coming up with the conclusion that the rangers were quite generous to give them what sounded like luxury. He camped regularly so a room with an actual bed was awesome in his eye's. He would watch Kalely leave, fold his arms and then turn his attention to Alexis' as she spoke. "Well a single room would be enough so boys in one room girls in another?"

He wasn't paying attention that much and he was more so lost in his own thoughts, having moved on from thinking about team Luna and was now focused more so on the Rangers themselves. When he arrived he was certain they would be grouchy and unpleased with their arrival but he was surprised by the outcome. The Ranger's were as open as they were and asides from a few hiccups everything was currently going fine. Of course there were a few anomalies and Fin had realised he was in the same group as the Ranger who he accidentally scared by putting a Politoed in a Pokémon. He had also realised that Delta was in a group with the Ranger that ... fell out with him and while did feel a bit sorry he wasn't scared since he knew that they were needed, that's they only reason they were here.

Sparky wasn't a complete nerd unlike Fin and was much more interested in how the rooms looked, what they were like and dinner! The Pachirisu was a mean lean berry eating machine and multiple times he has eaten all the berries off massive trees. This of course landed him in a few tricky situations afterwards. When Kalely left the Pachirisu would raise a paw and wave it side to side, shouting in a chirpy voice down the hall way "Pachi-Pachirisu!"

Why can't Allegra stay quiet for a minute?

Marina felt completely awkward there, standing beside the most experienced Rangers as she tried to act properly in such an important situation. She was standing like a soldier, her back perfectly straight and her hands behind her, she looked at Lola without even breathing. She had to act properly, she had to show Lolla she hadn't made a mistake in choosing her and...

Why can't she be helpful just for once?!

Her partner was driving her mad. Unlike her, Allegra was completely carefree. She played with her hair bun, or pet her Oval Stone, she started humming about two minutes ago!

She started becoming more and more nervous as time passed by and her Pokemon still wouldn't understand that things were serious. She reached the last straw when she stood on her shoulder and started playing with her hair band. The Happiny took the small bow on her trainer's head and untied it, leaving the edge of it hanging in front of her nose. "Allegra, please..." she asked in a low murmur as she tried to blow the piece of band out of her face, without being succesful. Meanwhile, the Happiny kept doing her stuff. "Stop it!" she asked one last time.

But she wouldn't stop, not when that was her only source of fun in such a boring situation. Marina was nice and all, but she worried too much about these human 'serious' stuff. For Allegra, there was no diference between 'serious' and 'boring'.

About when Lolla left the room along with the trainers, Allegra had already tied half of her hair to her bun to create a 'partner hairstyle'.

"Allegra, it's enough!" she reprimended as she got the kerchief she used as a hairband back. Her Happiny sat on her shoulder once again as her partner tied her hairband back into the simple knot she usually used on her head. The Pokemon smiled amused when she noticed the Ranger had tied it wrongly and it was now inclined to her right, almost skimming her ear.

Lolla came back not much later, announcing the groups they were going to work with during the next mission. A small smile scaped from Marina's lips when she heard she was going to work with Zeke, someone she could at least be a little bit more confident with. Of course, every sign of relief dissapeared once she heard that Fin was going to be in the same group as them. Her mouth opened a little bit due the shock, subconsciously looking worried at Lolla. That couldn't be true, right? She was supposed to avoid contact with that trainer after that happened!

"But wait, Lolla..." she said in a low voice due the nervousness, but Lolla was too busy. She regreted it inmediately and just turned back to the elevator along with the rest. What am I going to do now?

Alexis grinned a little almost to herself. “Alright then you boys can have the other dorm…” Pointing to the one next to the one she stood in front of. She stepped into the dorm she stood in front of and nudged the door mostly shut. She dropped her backpack on one bed and then looked into both bathrooms, they were pretty spacious, and had more room then she thought they would. She then turned to look at all the beds. She picked on of the middle beds in the room and laid back down on it to just rest a little bit. Alexis didn’t realize it but she had in fact started to fall asleep and had drifted for a bit before she heard voices in the hallway coming closer which jerked her awake. She slid onto the floor and swung her bag back on and stepped into the hallway just in time to see the Rangers come around the corner.

Lola watched her Rangers disappear into the elevator. She relaxed her shoulders a little and sighed, she wanted to trust the trainers, but she needed her rangers to keep an eye on them, just in case her gut had led her astray. They all seemed nice though, which was a good start. Hopefully they would be able to Get Team Luna and stop them for good. Lola knelt on the floor and her two Pokemon immediately crowded in closer. She giggled a little and gave them both the attention they asked for. After a minute she gained her feet and turned to look at the room around her. Satisfied that everything would be okay for a bit, she stepped onto the elevator with her two Pokemon and headed for the dining hall.

Lola stepped off the elevator on the main floor and then out of the building, crossing to a long flat building in the corner of the compound. As she crossed the compound her Rangers murmured respectful greetings as they passed by and she nodded back, her mind too occupied with what was to come the next day to do more. She stepped into the dining hall, which was already half full of eating and talking Rangers. Along one length of the hall were several buffet lines, behind which was the kitchens. There were several stations offering different foods. One which was basically a salad bar with every topping you could wish. Then one place with a grill, offering all manner of items like Pizza, Hamburgers and Fries. The Last Place was like a deli station offering all kinds of sandwiches. Each Station also offered Pokemon food so Rangers and their Partners could eat together. Lola headed for the Sandwich station and waited in line for only a few seconds before all the Rangers in front of her shifted away and went to the back of the line behind her. She sighed to herself a little before murmuring thanks and stepping up to give her order. She had given up years ago insisting that she could wait in line like everyone else. Lola gathered her sandwich and a side of fries that someone had brought over from the grill for her, and two boxes of food for her Espeon and Umbreon who trailed her to one of the bigger tables in the room that was empty. It would just about fit her little group of trainers and rangers when they showed up. By sitting with them she hoped to deter any trouble from the rest of the room. She checked the time and figured that group would show up within the next 10 or 15 minutes. With luck Lola would be done with her food by then. She set the boxes of now open Pokemon food on the floor and settled down to eat her own meal, using the time to go over strategies for the upcoming mission, making sure she didn’t forget anything.

Diana questioned herself during the pleasant silence of the elevator. Being a ranger hadn’t been difficult for her, due to her motivation towards their cause. Yet, now more than ever, she found herself questioning whether or not she wished to stay. Whether or not their bias against trainers was greatly unfounded based on a select few who were bad. The dancer agreed, the thought of capturing pokemon in capsules sounded barbaric and wrong. However none of the ones she’d met seemed unhappy. In fact, some of them seemed even more connected than some of the rangers and their pokemon.

She drew in a deep breath, as if she’d been drowning in her own thoughts.

After the elevator ride had come to an end, Diana stepped out into the hall. The concern on her face was washed away when she met the eyes of Alexis. A noticeable smile graced her lips and she began advancing toward the trainer before something caught her foot and caused her to stumble.

Diana’s eyes widened as she felt her center of gravity thrown off balance. She quickly took a few extra steps and managed to right herself before tumbling to the ground. Looking back, she narrowed her eyes.

“Charlene, what was that for?” The Arbok hissed at her, clearly upset. Diana’s face went from outrage, to surprise, to remorse. “I...left you at the docks, didn’t I?”

Charlene turned her nose up at the dancer as though she were a lowly peasant, her forked tongue flicking out and back inside her maw.

“You are absolutely right. I apologize. I just got a little distracted is all.” Diana’s eyes glanced toward Alexis for a brief second before returning her attention to the serpent.

Charlene followed the ranger’s gaze before giving her a look that said ‘oh really? Distracted? By her?’

Diana chuckled before reaching a hand out and caressing beneath the Arbok’s chin. Though the snake was upset with her partner, she never turned down being pet.

“Not like that, my dear...not entirely anyway,” Diana winked at her pokemon before turning her attention back toward Alexis with a fresh smile, as if reintroducing herself.

“I’m glad to see you once again. At least, in a not-so-serious setting,” Diana joked. “I hope that you don’t feel too confined here, like you’re being held prisoner. Regardless of the looks you might receive, you and your friends are most definitely guests. You may walk with us, converse with us, and even eat with us.”

The dancer graciously bowed her head toward the blonde before raising and locking eyes once more. “Are you set up in your rooms? If so, then I’d be delighted for us all to go together and eat. I’m quite hungry myself.”

When Alexis stepped into the other dorm he turned towards what was now his own and grabbed the handle, twisting and then opening it and looking around inside. Sparky was much less cautious and jumped in the second Fin opened the door. The Squirrel landed on the floor and quickly raced towards the bed on the far right of the room, jumping on said bed and bouncing up and down with a happy expression.

Fin let out a hearty laugh as he saw his Pokémon jumping on the bed and so followed Sparky to that corner of the room, dropping his bag and suitcase on the floor so he could flop down on the bed next to his friend. Due to the mattress dipping slightly the electric squirrel landed on its trainers stomach, cushioning the blow with his bushy tail so it wasn't painful for him or Fin.

It certainly was luxurious and while he wasn't tired he was tempted to fall asleep right there and then however the bushy tail that had cushioned his Pokémon's fall was now covering his face, reducing his oxygen intake and causing him to jolt up into a sitting position. The sudden movement threw Sparky off Fin but he skilfully landed on the bed with a mischievous giggle, Fin replying by folding his arms and sighing. "Alright alright I won't sleep"

Instead he began to unpack, not getting through much of it since he heard chatter outside the room and since he was so curious he stood from where he was sat and walked to the entrance, leaving his Pachirisu on the bed to begin digging through his stuff, the Pokémon disappearing into suitcase and hiding underneath the contents.

When he reached the door instead of fully walking out he grabbed the frame and leaned forwards, poking his head out the room and lifting his leg up in the room to keep balance. He only heard Diana's invitation to dinner and waited for Nemo to answer since she was asked the question. He didn't however want to be rude so he glanced to Diana and tipped his fedora gently in a greeting fashion.

Delta ran after Fin." Hey Fin wait up!" He yelled and stood by him." Hey there Diana." He waved as Fin tilted his hat." Why did you tilt your hat at her? What does it mean?" He began to ramble on and sighed. He realised he felt a lot of heat from behind him." Er sorry I ran guys." His team were glaring at him and Ember shook his head.

The room he had looked in was nice so Delta was in a good mood. However, his Pokemon were not. Delta began grovelling and apologising to them." Guys I'll get you extra food as a special treat to say sorry ok?" His Pokemon rushed him and hugged him." Guys it's just food. ACK! Too tight you're going to kill me. HALP!"
