I like how you're trying to pass these things off as two separate things.

Anyway, I have real issues with this thread. Several members have pointed out that you're not actually editing the sprites, and the effects can be done in less than a minute in GIMP. I'll leave this here for one of the other mods to give their opinion on the matter, but I'd consider revising your approach if I was you.

Totally missed this...

I know from what I know of Photoshop that all these effects are Filters and take like... a few seconds at best to apply. I'm sure other art/editing programmes will have similar options. Applying effects really isn't Spriting at all... I know that the rules state 'No Recolours... but frankly that takes more Spriting ability than this.

I'm going to lock this. If you want to contend the decision, or have actual Sprite work to show, then please PM me and we'll talk about it~
