Hi! This is the first RP i’ve made, so any advice would be appreciated!

PLOT
You were/are a basic Sinnoh trainer, having no desire other then beating the League. But while in Hearthrome City, you end up getting hooked on Contests thanks to leader Fantina! Your overall goal is obtaining all the Ribbons for each class: think you’re up to it?

Mild romance is fine.
No 18+ content.
Go by all Contest rules!
Pokemon from all regions are fine. Just give a reason why they’re there if they don’t originate from/can’t be found in Sinnoh.

CONTEST STAGES
Introduction
Here, you and your rivals Pokemon get judged on their condition; which is determined by Poffins. You also learn which of the five categories it’s focusing on; Cool, Tough, Smart, Cute or Beauty.
Preparation
Here, you get your Pokemon dressed to help their performance leave a impact! You can bring your own or just rent some. It’s really no problem!
Modelling
The Dance section had been scrapped after a injury that occurred, bringing the Modelling round in its place. You simply show you and your partners outfits before you get to the most memorable part of any Contest.
Appeals
The Appeals round! Just use moves to create a effect to leave the crowd speechless. It’s your last chance in the Contest, after all! After that, just hope it’s enough to grab your Ribbon!

Instead of just diving into Contests right off the bat, you need to fill your Contest Gauge! How? By going around Hearthorme and helping other Contest entrants! It could be from locating a missing partner to just helping in general, just get your gauge filled fast! You find requests on the Contest media page, Contest.net. You need a account for that. Make the name for it whatever you like!

Appearance (Regular): When not in a contest, Maple wears a light-blue hoodie and either shorts or sweatpants. He's of fair complexion, and he has green eyes. His hair is dyed dark green, and it's beginning to grow out.
Appearance (When in Contest): When in a contest, Maple wears green glasses with a red spike that jots up slightly from each edge. He wears a red suit with a white undershirt and tie, and fake Yanma wings attached to his back. He wears similarly red pants and shoes. (Basically think Yanma and then turn that into his outfit.)

Appearance: Tyler is kind of on the short side of things, as he is only 5'. He has very pale skin, that does not have any blemishes. His eyes are very bright purple, that goes well with his dark pink hair. He has a small build that makes him look younger then he does. His hair is very long as it comes to the middle of his back, in soft curls. For clothing he tends to wear a pair of black skinny jeans, and a dark purple sweater. The jeans have rips in them, and the sweater is oversized and comes to almost cover his hands. He tends to wear a pair of black combat boots, and a black vintage choker with the outfit. When it is hot, he will tend to wear his hair up into a ponytail. His nails are painted a bright blue.
Appearance Contest: In contests he tends to wear a black dress that is made of lace. It has a vneck neckline, and is asymmetrical at the bottom. He tends to pair it with a pair of heels. He still has the choker.
