Private/Closed Role of Bio-Cross

A beautiful summer day, Botanical city, a city off the coast of florida was bustling with traffic and people out doing their daily routines, the city was fairly sized and had many places throughout it, there were many buildings which most were businesses and apartments some were restaurants or attractions. Dispite all the buildings and such, nature, forests , and gardens made up most of the city outskirts. Gaia and his familiar were walking along the main marketplace of the city, and staring at the hundreds of items behind the windows of the shops that ran up and down the street

Suddenly Sly's ears began to twitch"Gaia I'm sensing a stranger nearby, it seems to be a bear of some kind" he said alertingly, Gaia tensed up and replied"where Sly?". "Just north of the marketplace, near the northern gardens" the wolf answered. Gaia immediately started running towards the garden hoping to defeat it quick before it could cause any damage.

Kyle rode his dirt bike carefully through the marketplace. Although it earned him a few glares, the green and black dirt bike was still the best mode of transportation for the teen. Kyle stopped his bike, kicking out his kickstand. He glanced at the list of groceries his parents had given him before looking up at the marketplace again. Jeez, it was kinda crowded. He'd have to lock up his bike if he wanted to continue.

A small mewing distracted Kyle from his thoughts, and the boy sighed. He didn't even have to look to know that it was that same strange kitten. The kitten that had been following him around for nearly all his life. No matter where Kyle seemed to go, that strange kitten always seemed not to far away. Kyle looked down, and sure enough it was the kitten. Kyle had decided to name it Repeat. A strange name for a cat, but it was based off an old joke he knew about a man named Pete and Repeat. The punchline ended up being a repeat of the same joke, which made sense for the name of the kitten. It just kept showing up. Never aging, and no one could seem to see it.

"What do you want?" Kyle asked the small cat. It mewed again, rubbing against Kyle's leg. Picking up the kitten, Kyle held it in his arms. "I don't have any food for you. Not that you seem to eat, anyway."
Repeat simply mewed again, rubbing against Kyle's face with a purr. Suddenly, the kitten stopped. It turned, as if hearing something. The fur on it's neck rose, and it hissed in the direction of the northern gate. Kyle looked down at the kitten in concern.
"What is it?"

Looking up again, Kyle could see a boy with a large dog running towards the northern gate. Wait... Was that dog a wolf?! Kyle looked around for a place to lock up his bike so he could see what it was about the boy and wolf that got Repeat so upset.

Gaia continued to run, he reached the corner of the street and ran right through the road barely missing an incoming truck, Sly was hit but instead of getting knocked away he phased through the truck"heh, must be nice to be a spirit"Gaia grinned. He soon reached the garden and just like Sly reported, it was a stranger, a black grizzly bear whose eyes glowed red when it growled at him"this shouldn't be too hard, it's only a bear" Gaia shrugged before yelling out"Snow wolf, Cross!" Suddenly Sly's body began to radiate light, he then jumped into Gaia, a bright flash shined around him before his ears and tail sprouted from him, and his hair and eyes changing, when the light dissipeared a voice could be heard from what seemed like nowhere, but actiactu came from Gaia"Cross Complete, you know you shouldn't underestimate your enemies Gaia" the voice said"okay stranger, let's go!" Gaia shouted, showing his fang

"Bzzzt. Bzzzzzzzt. Bzzzzt."

Clover picked up the magazine that was covering her face. It's a fashion magazine featuring Isabelle the Annihilator on the cover page. She turned her head to the black and yellow insect beside her.

"What? You feel a stranger's signal in the northern garden? Ehh, That's too far." Clover said with a slight groan.

"Bzzzt. Bzzzzzt."

"I know its my job. I got paid for this. But I think another cross would have killed it when I arrive there. What level is it?"

"BzzzzzZZzzZzzt!!"

"Better safe than sorry? Allright, allright. I'm getting up." She slowly got up from her bed and picked up one of her sling bag.

She got out from her house and locked it. Outside, a huge field full of clovers welcomed her. Honey bees could be seen here and there. Ever since her parents got their new job, these whole honey business had basically entrusted to her. She was glad though, now she had things to do other than doing cross stuff.

Her bicycle was collecting dust in the garage. She wiped off the dust and sat on the saddle.

"Polly, you ready?"

"Bzzzzt." A bumble bee landed itself on Clover's left shoulder. Polly was always on her side, since she was a newborn. And Polly was such a worrywart that sometimes Clover just wanted to trap it in a box. She couldn't do that though since Polly would just pass through it.

"Allright. Here we go." She rowed her bike as fast as possible.

It was business as usual in Botanical City's civic center, and here, business was politics. City Hall, where Sebastian was interning, was a beautiful building. Designed in Spanish Colonial Revival style, it was a call back to the time when this part of the country had been La Florida, part of the Spanish Empire. It was a three story tall building, with a large tower capped with a dome standing in its center. From either end of the building's front a wing extended back, where they were eventually connected together by a bridge. White stucco walls and red roof tiles all around it. This building, its wings, and the bridge formed a square, in the center of which was a small courtyard, in the center of which was a fountain, next to which was Sebastian.

Sylas, his familiar, had taken to swimming in the fountain during Sebastian's lunch break. The otter was in fact presently in the process of doing so, while the human sat on the rim, an empty paper bag next to him, a half eaten sandwich in his hands. It had already been a long day, and Sebastian was looking forward to getting home and getting out of the button up shirt he was wearing. Business casual apparel had allowed him to keep his normal jeans, but he still had to look semi-presentable to his boss. Thankfully, despite the midday heat, the courtyard itself had thus for been kept cool and shaded thanks to a number of trees and other foliage growing within it. Truly, it was peaceful here.

Or at least, it normally was. Sylas suddenly shot out of the water, coiling around Sebastian's torso until the otter managed to work its way up to his shoulder. "There's a Stranger afoot!" the otter hissed in his ear.

Sebastian sighed, "And I was just reflecting on how nice the city was today, too."

Still, it couldn't be helped. Depositing what was left of his lunch back in its bag, Sebastian followed his familiar's directions into the city proper. He tossed the bag into the first trash can he passed. No way he was going to have the time to finish it now. Sylas' directions took him out of the civic center, into the town's commercial district to the north. There was a park here, a general area for people to relax between shopping runs. Thankfully, it seemed like the area had mostly cleared out when the Stranger first appeared, there didn't seem to be any injuries. Thank god for small miracles.

The monster in question was easy to spot when he got there. An exceptionally large black bear - or perhaps a black furred grizzly bear - with glowing red eyes. Handily, it looked like someone else was already planning to engage the monster. They looked like they had barely hit puberty, but they had already gone and activated their Cross and seemed generally like they knew what they were doing. Good. Maybe that meant Sebastian could hang back and observe. He didn't like calling forth his own raging waters unless he absolutely had to.

Axel was walking around the marketplace humming a catchy tune with Angel, his familiar near his feet. Axel was enjoying the day with some fresh fruit and berries on his shopping list of things to buy for him and Angel. Axel then heard trouble and a grizzly bear stranger seemed to be enraged, and Axel gasped and said "Oh crap a stranger this isn't good." Axel activated his cross growing a tail and some ears and his hair and eye color changed. Axel drew forth his bow, then loaded an arrow, and aimed at the grizzly and called out to the other cross, "Hang on I'll help you out here." Axel held the bow tight ready to let the arrow fly.

Gaia drew his scythe and held his ground, the bear began to charge at him"not a good idea..!"Gaia said. He twirled his scythe and swug it at the bear before it could reach him, a large *shling* could be heard as it's left arm was sliced clean off"heh, told you I can handle it Sly" He grinned. The one armed stranger chose to attack another target rather then going for Gaia again, it turned towards Axel and roared

Kyle was just about to rev up his dirt bike to head after the boy and wolf when suddenly everyone in the market began to freak out. Something about a Stranger. A Stranger?! Here?! Well, whatever it was it had people in the market panicking. Kyle couldn't go after the boy and the wolf while trying to go against the crowd. Someone could get hurt!

After a few moments, the market was mostly cleared out. Kyle flipped up his kickstand and revved his dirt bike, heading towards the garden the boy and the wolf had headed to. If there was a Stranger nearby, that kid could be in danger! Then again, so could Kyle. Halfway through the marketplace, Kyle leaned down and scooped up a bit of piping. It might not be big or sharp, but it would do for a weapon in a pinch. Repeat clung tightly to Kyle's shirt and the two rode into the garden.

The sight there was quite crazy, and Kyle almost didn't believe what he was seeing. The green and black dirt bike skidded to a stop at the entrance of the garden. Already there were two Crosses, ready to fight. One of them looked kinda young, a mix between a person and a wolf. Was that the same kid he had seen earlier? Nearby was another Cross, a fox-person with a bow. There was another guy there around Kyle's age as well. Was he a Cross as well?

A roar brought Kyle's attention to the Stranger. It was a huge, bearlike creature that sent a shiver of fear down Kyle's spine. Kyle watched as the near charged at the wolf Cross, only for him to react quickly with a scythe, cutting one of it's arms clean off!
"Whoa." Kyle muttered. The Stranger backed off, turning towards the Fox Cross. Glancing down at his shirt, Kyle saw that Repeat had released himself from the shirt and was now on the ground. The kitten was hissing and spitting at the Stranger, trying to look intimidating but ultimately failing.

Clover arrived at the garden drenched in sweat. She saw there were already some crosses taking care of the stranger. Thankfully the crosses engaged the bear-like stranger on a clear ground. She remember the mayor's speech about keeping the damage to minimal when fighting a stranger. Meh, bureaucrachy.

"See? I told you so?" She said to the bee beside her, Polly replied with a buzz. She hopped down and dragged her bike to the side of the man with formal shirt, he looks the most relaxed here.

"Hey, don't wanna jump in?" She asked him while eyeing the fight in front of her. Just in case something bad happens.

Niala was walking down a alley eating some candy which she swiped from the marketplace when she noticed Herald jump down from the ledge of a window he was sitting on and began to inform her that he hears some commotion near, she stopped munching on the candy and began to climb up a building to see if she could find where all this noise is coming from. Once reaching the top she stretched out her arms and said. "Well Herald if your insane at least we found a nice place to sit for today, the sun fells great," Then Niala looked off in the distance and saw where the noise was coming from and then sighed. "Unfortunately your not crazy today, come on lets go see if we can help. Tiger, Cross!" Herald began to glow and with a flash of light he became one with Niala, her hair became partly silver, her skin got black markings and she sprouted ears claws and a tail even her eyes changed and turned partly black.

After the transformation was completed she heard a voice in her mind say. "All right missy, let see if we can have some fun." Niala responded with. "Come on Herald lets try to take this some what seriously." Even thought she was hoping this would be interesting as much as he was, and with they quickly sprinted off to the battleground.

By the time they got there some other Crosses had already arrived, a young looking guy with a wolf like looking body and a older looking guy with some fox like features, it looked like they were fighting a bear but she was sure it was a Anti. "Oi, you two, need a hand!" Niala yelled over and then leaped forward to help.

Gaia looked around and saw the several other cross holders around him"well this is new, I've never seen any other cross holders were in this town"most of the strangers Gaia has fought weren't that strong so he finished them off before others would arrive, so hes never seen another cross in this city apart from Clover, her family's honey business was a favorite of his, he then noticed that clover and Poppy were one of the cross holders here"huh, clover? Hey what's up!"he yelled to the the girl

As Kyle was watching the situation develop, the teen saw yet another Cross show up. This one was a girl, a cat one. She looked a bit like a Tiger really. Kyle was kinda starting to feel a little bad for the Stranger. He knew it wasn't fun to get ganged up on, and that Wolf Cross had already wounded it pretty badly. It didn't look like it was giving up, however. Still, three Crosses in one place?! Kyle didn't even know Botanical had three Crosses!

Looking around the Garden again, Kyle saw that another girl had appeared. She was talking to the well-dressed boy with the otter. Wounded Stranger or not, it was still pretty dangerous to be here. Kyle decided he should probably go warn them.

Picking up the kitten, Kyle had Retreat cling to his shirt as he put up the kickstand on his dirt bike.
"You know, this was my favorite Captain America shirt too." Kyle said down to Retreat, who only meowed back at him. Revving up his dirt bike, Kyle was about to head over to the otter guy and the girl with the bicycle when the Wolf Cross turned and talked to them. He couldn't hear what the Wolf Cross was saying, however. The dirt bike's motor, along with the distance and the roaring of the Stranger made it difficult to hear. Maybe they already knew each other? Kyle rode towards Clover and Sebastian, trying to keep good distance from the Stranger.

Looked like he'd made the correct decision. The bear was getting beaten back, and he hadn't had to risk going into his altered state. Quite a number of cross-holders had showed up, too. They were all clearly younger than Sebastian was, but that was to be expected: he was on the older end of the spectrum for these kinds of things. The second - third after Sebastian himself - Cross to arrive had also transformed and was engaging the bear. Another, with a bike, was hanging back like himself.

He was approached by the fifth, a girl with long blonde hair. He boots stood out against the rest of her outfit, and her familiar appeared to be a bee. Interesting, he'd never seen an insectoid familiar before. She might have been the oldest Cross here if not for Sebastian himself. She was asking him about his participation - or lack thereof - in the fight.

"Not unless I have to," he answered, "Everything seems to be under control, and I don't want to add any unnecessary confusion to the mix."

"He's lazy and wants other people to do his dirty work more like," Sylas joked from his position on Sebastian's shoulder.

The human pinched his familiar's ear. "Hey now, don't talk bad about me where I can hear you," he smirked, "Anyway, you got a reason for holding back, miss?"

In the meantime, another Cross holder had arrived and thrown herself into the fight. The bear had lost an arm, but it was still dangerous. Which is why it confused Sebastian when the first Cross Holder to arrive decided to take the time to start screaming at the girl Sebastian was talking to, followed by the bike user hoping onto his vehicle and approaching.

"Seems you've got a couple fans, Miss Clover," he said, dryly.

Axel saw the stranger lose an arm and said "Holy smokes that was cool ok time to finish this, ready, aim FIRE." Axel shot an arrow at the stranger and it landed right between the eyes. "Nice, I got the headshot." Angel hopped onto Axel's shoulder and nicked his ear and said "You could have shot it before, you really shouldn't have waited." Axel pouted "Aww Angel just let me enjoy my kill ok." Axel rubbed Angel's ear.

"Let's say... that I'm a lazy person and want other person to do the dirty work." Clover answered Sebastian's question while giving Sylas a wink. That answer was partially true, the other reason was... Oh, look. Gaia yelled something at her. She couldn't hear it though because of the bear's painful scream when one of the cross scored a headshot and sent it crashing to the ground.

"Seems you've got a couple fans, Miss Clover," Sebastian said. She just replied with a weak smile at the remark.

"He's one of my custo- WATCH OUT!!" Suddenly the bear rose again and leaped at Gaia, its jaws and paw ready to rip any person to pieces. Didn't took her second thought before she mentally forced Polly to transform her and activate Knight Rush immediately.

Feeling the tug, Polly tried to do her best to transform her as fast as possible. But Clover had activated Knight Rush before Polly even finished formed her arms and legs armor.

In a split second, Clover had thrust her spear through the bear's head. The friction cut her unprotected arms and legs in several spots, though it didn't falter her. The bear struggled desperately to freed itself, but Clover used her spear that was lodged in its head as a lever and pinned it down on the ground. She then pulled her spear before thrusted it into the bear's heart.

"NEVER," she yelled angrily while pulling her spear then thrust it again into the bear.

"EVER, TAKE, YOUR, EYES, OFF THEM!!" She yelled while pulling and thrusting her spear between her yells. After making sure that the stranger was already dead. She realized that she had lose her composure and took a deep breath to calm herself. Almost...

Kyle stopped his bike short of the the blonde girl and the guy with the otter. A bit of a strange pet to have, an otter. But who was Kyle to judge? He had an invisible kitten that no one could see, or even believe existed.
"Hey, you guys might wanna clear the area. Even though it's wounded, the Stranger seems kinda dangero-" Kyle trailed off as he watched the Fox Cross sink an arrow between the eyes of the bearlike Stranger. Well, that was that.

Or so he thought. Repeat dropped to the ground and let out a hiss, and the Stranger jumped back up with a loud roar. Kyle fell off his (parked) bike in surprise. What the actual heck?! He thought the Fox Cross had just killed it! Then, even more surprising, the blonde girl jumped at the Stranger in a flash of light and transforned. She now had armor and a spear, and Kyle realized. She was a Cross as well! That made, what, four Crosses in one place? The Wolf, Fox, Tiger, and now some sort of... Insect, maybe? Kyle couldn't really tell. The blonde Insect Cross chick killed the Stranger with her spear, stabbing it in the head and the heart. Hopefully that would kill it.

Standing back up, Kyle looked over at the guy with the otter.
"I don't suppose you're a Cross as well?" Kyle said to the guy with the otter, trying to calm himself back down after the scare with the Stranger. Repeat wandered towards the Crosses and the (hopefully) dead Stranger, mewing cutely.

"Hah!" Sebastian chuckled. He liked her, she was clever.

In front of them, the bear had collapsed from an arrow to the head. Seemed unlikely that would kill it though, bears were tough animals naturally, evil Stranger bears were just ridiculous. And to prove him correct, the bear was back on its feet and menacing the first, distracted Cross. Clover shot off in an instant, one moment she was standing next to him, the next she was repeatedly stabbing the bear in the chest. It was on the ground again, and this time its brain probably well and truly damaged - not to mention its heart destroyed - from the repeated stabs, but, better safe then sorry.

"Try severing its head," he called out to the collected transformed crosses, "It probably won't get back up from that." Clover seemed angry enough to do that with her spear if no one else would. He couldn't blame her though, stupid kid had almost gotten himself killed because he only had eyes for her. Still, she seemed to have everything under control, so Sebastian turned to the boy who'd approached them.

He looked about Clover's age, actually. Aside from the slightly torn Captain America t-shirt, nothing really stood out about him. He'd been talking to them when the bear had gotten its second wind, and had fallen off his bike. What had he said, something about the place being dangerous? Whatever it wasn't it clearly wasn't important enough for him to go back to. He was asking if Sebastian was a Cross, now.

"That's correct," the human nodded, before reaching up a hand to scritch the underside of the otter's head, "And if you can see Sylas here, that must mean you are too. I take it that cat's your familiar?" He nodded in the direction of the kitten the man had been carrying, now wandering towards the hopefully dead bear and surrounding Crosses. Cats, what can you do?

InstraI of getting a reply, he heard a loud roar and a shadow that creeped over him, he turned around to see the stranger had an arrow between the eyes, most likely done by the fox cross since he had a bow, Gaia reered back and was ready to cut it in half, suddenly a figure sped in front of him and peirced the bear with their spear and before yelling at him then stabbing it again. The stranger was defeated, clover had felt the final blow
Gaia almost fell over after being yelled at unexpectedly, but quickly regained his posture"hehe, sorry about that Clover"he said rubbing the back of his head,he could hear a voice echo through his head"Never underestimate your opponent!", "Shut it Sly!"Gaia answered back at the echo

The stranger having been killed faded into a dark light that soon dispered, leaving nothing where there was previously a large dark bear

Before Niala began her attack the fox kid shot the creature in the head. "Well that ends that." Herald said but right after the Bear got up and began to attack again, then suddenly a girl, that Niala mistook for some stupidly brave person watching the fight, had jump forward with some type of insect markings. The girl rammed into the bear at speeds that Niala thought only she knew, but the girl also made the mistake of ramming into it at full force. "Man, that has got to hurt." Niala thought to herself. "Remind me not to get on her bad side." Herald said to Niala in a joking manner as the two watched her stab it again and again.

It did not take long for the bear to die after that. "Aw man, boring." Herald said as they watched it turn to some type of light. Niala was interested in the two that had not even attempted to help, using her large ears she over heard that they two were Crosses but she already knew that and if they are they ain't the greatest in her book. "Had no idea there were so many." Herald said to her. "Me neither, glad to know we ain't the only freaks in this town." Niala said in a joking manner. she then looked up at the rest of them expecting someone to say something.

Clover pulled her spear from where the bear was. Her transformation faded away, leaving Polly on her shoulder. She turned her head and scanned the surrounding. Shaking her head when Gaia gave her a hehe.

"Is it just me... Or there's too many crosses than usual here?" She asked out loud to no one in particular. But really, why now? Bear, did you spread a cross-attracting pheromone or something??

Gaia looked around realizing what clover was saying" your right, even more crosses then earlier showed up for this stranger". Gaia's scythe dissipeared and his body reverted back to his normal form"it is weird, I thought you and me were the only cross holders in Botanical!" He said as his wolf familar circled him"Gaia, a city like botanical is almost guaranteed to have more than 2 cross holders as residents"Sly answered

"Umm... What?" Kyle said, confused. He had only meant for the Cross remark to be a joke, but the guy was actually a Cross! Not only that, but the guy's last statement didn't make much sense to Kyle. The boy stood his dirt bike back up, keeping it up with the kickstand then turning his attention back to the otter guy.

"There... There must be some mistake. I ain't a Cross." Kyle said dismissively, shaking his head. "And how does being able to see your pet otter make me a Cross?"
Suddenly, then second thing Sebastian said bit Kyle. This guy... Could see Repeat. Meaning that Kyle wasn't a little crazy, or stuck with an "overactive imagination". Kyle itched his ear then looked back up at the otter guy. Walking a bit closer to Sebastian, Kyle pointed at Repeat.
"You're telling me... That you can see that kitten." Kyle said, trying to remain calm.

"I am not a pet!" Sylas protested. Sebastian laughed.

"Sylas is my Familiar," the man explained, "The only people who can see Familiars are Crosses."

Apparently this kid had never gotten the whole talking to about Crosses. This was odd, to say the least, given his age. Had his familiar never talked to him? Or had he never met another Cross before? How would he explain it best? Sebastian had honestly never thought he'd be in this situation! Thankfully, the kid gave him an out that also allowed him to continue explaining his point without sounding awkward.

"Er, yes. I can see your kitten," Sebastian confirmed, "I'm sure if you asked any of the others, they'd tell you the same. It is your familiar, right? You're not dragging a normal kitten around into dangerous situations are you?" That would be embarrassing if it were true. The cat certainly wasn't talking like Sylas was. Still, given the kid's reaction, he suspected the fact that someone else could see the kitten was abnormal for this boy.

Kyle was not expecting the guy's otter to talk. His jaw dropped, and couldn't help but to stare at the otter in shock. They boy rubbed his face, then glanced from the otter to the guy, making sure that Sylas really did just talk. When Sebastian started talking about Repeat, Kyle nodded.
"If anything, Repeat's the one that dragged me into the dangerous situation." Kyle said. Upon hearing his name, the kitten perked up and looked back over at Kyle and Sebastian. "He's been with me for as long as I could remember, and no one could see him! No matter where I went, somehow Repeat would always be there! Not only that, but the kit never aged either. From when I was 5 to today, that kitten had never aged a day."

Kyle stopped, taking a breath, and stepped back. Rubbing a hand through his hair, he looked back up at the guy and his otter.
"I'm sorry." Kyle said. "It's just... I've been wanting to get that off my chest for years, thinking I was going crazy."
Kyle paused again before continuing.

"I still don't think I'm a Cross. I can't transform into some crazy half-animal with super strength and giant weapon or anything. I can't fight Strangers or jump across buildings in a single bound." Kyle said, leaning against his dirt bike. Repeat had made his way back over to Kyle, and was nuzzling the boy's leg.

Niala turned her attention over to the two guys that were no help. One was now asking the other if he could see his little kitten. Thanks to her ears she can overhear everything they say, she uses them a lot to get a laugh out of other people's conversations.

Niala finally returned to to her normal form, splitting from Herald and losing all of her cat like features, although her eyes will always betray the feline she really is. She then turn her attention to the girl with the bee and the boy with the wolf, who were talking about the crazy amount of Crosses here, they also seemed to know each other well. "Oi, it looks like you two are local, plus the only ones that recognize each other, if ya don't mind me asking if you know any more about this than I do because this seems almost staged?" Niala asked, she knew it was a bit upfront but she wanted to know if she was the one in the dark or not.

"What, your Familiar never learn to talk?" Sylas queried, "Stop acting so surprised!"

Sebastian nodded along to the boy's explanation. Yup, this cat was definitely a Familiar. Which meant this boy was definitely a Cross. It checked all the boxes: invisible to most, ageless, deathless, been around seemingly forever. It had even dragged him along towards the Stranger, identifying its location and leading its Cross to it like Sylas did for Sebastian. Still, the fact that the cat had apparently never attempted to talk to the boy was strange. All Familiars were different, he supposed.

"Sounds like it all checks out," Sebastian said, "Your cat - Repeat - is a Familiar. It's been with you since the day you were born, and it will be with you until the day you die. One of the skills Familiars have is that they can sense nearby Strangers, and bring their Crosses to them to deal with. Repeat brought you here so you could fight that bear. Maybe if the rest of us hadn't shown up, this was where you would have unlocked your potential. If that's the case, I must apologize for everyone here, we surely didn't want to get in your way."

He shrugged, causing Sylas to bob up and down on his shoulder. "But I assure you, prior experience or no, you are a Cross."

"There ain't no half measures with this," Sylas added, "You're either a Cross with a Familiar, or you're nobody and you've got nothing. That cat's a Familiar, and that means you're a Cross."

"At the same time, we're not going to pressure you into anything you're not comfortable with," Sebastian soothed. This was probably a lot for this boy to take in all at once, and he didn't want to overwhelm him. "As you can see, this city has a number of Crosses already. It's okay if you don't feel like this is the right path for you. The only people that can make that decision are you and Repeat."

Axel smiled nervously and walked over to Sebastian and Kyle and said "Woah cool familiars. I'm Axel by the way and this little guy right here," Axel picked up Angel by his stomach and held him out. "Is Angel my familiar." Axel pet Angel's fur and it hopped down and circled around Axel's feet. "I'm a hunter and a pretty mellow dude." Axel smiled and held his hand out. "I never got your names sorry for babbling on."

Kyle listened to Sylas and Sebastian, their explanations leaving him speechless. Was it really true? Was he really a Cross? The Fox Cross walked up and started talking, but Kyle was too wrapped up in his own thoughts to hear what he was saying. The boy slowly sat down, leaning against his dirt bike. His thoughts were racing at 100 miles an hour, and Kyle was finding it difficult to figure out what he was thinking.

It was Repeat's mewing that brought Kyle out of his daze. The kitten was sitting in front of Kyle, mewing at him. He stopped when Kyle looked at him.
"Well?" Kyle said to Repeat. "You always did seem a lot smarter than other cats."
The kitten cocked his head to the side, looking into Kyle's eyes. Kyle got the feeling that they were telling him the same thing he had already figured out.

"Don't worry, tiger girl." Clover answered Niala's question, she didn't know her name though, so she just call her tiger girl. "You're not alone. I'm also confused here." She turned to the other bunch of crosses and saw one of them introduced himself as Axel. This gave her an idea.

She clapped her hands, making sure its loud enough for everyone to hear and demand their attention.

"Hello alll, I'm sure we all are confused here." She threw a glance at Kyle, especially you. "So how about we sat on the nearby MgRonald and properly introduce each other? I can get headache with so many people talking different things at the same time like this." She pointed at a red fast food restaurant in the distance. Also, she always hungry after she transform so she wanted to grab some meal.

Gaia listened to the conversation and decided to add to Kyle's lesson on crosses"yeah, you must be a cross with that kitten still being a kitten, it would have aged normally otherwise.
He then heard the idea of clovers and nodded "that's a great idea, if we're all going to be protecting botanical we might as well know each other"he crossed his arms and waited for the others to answer

Niala listened as the girl called Clover finished snickering to herself at the tiger girl comment and the "I get headaches one." "I'm sure you do." Niala thought to herself but made sure Clover would not notice. "Yea I guess that could work, plus I'm staved." She agreed to the prospect of a meal, normally she was not the type to go eat with strangers but Niala gets especially hunger after using her cross. Niala had never heard of this MgRonald's though, although she had only been in town for a few days.

"Come on Herald!" Niala yelled over to her Cross who was not focusing at all and staring at his refection in the water of a fountain.

One of the other Crosses from earlier - the bow using fox - had joined their conversation rather suddenly. That was a little rude, but it seemed like the cat cross boy needed some time to process everything that had just happened. Sebastian looked down at the boy's hand, then back at him. Younger than him, again. Seemed like they all were here. His Familiar was a lot more tolerant of being manhandled than Sylas was. More evidence that all Familiars were different.

"I'm Sebastian, this is Sylas," he motioned towards himself and the otter in turn. "Be careful not to feed his ego too much."

"Too late, he already thinks I'm cooler than you," Sylas chirred, "you do look like a stiff in that shirt."

"Yeah, well, some of us have to do more than goof off in fountains all day," Sebastian retorted, poking the otter in the side of his head.

The first girl from before, Clover, was the next to interrupt the conversation. She wanted everyone to head to a local fast food joint to swap introductions. Then she said something snide about getting headaches when too many people talked at once, wow, rude. Maybe he didn't like her so much after all. More maturely, though, he knew where all this was headed. Clover's fanboy was already talking about how they were all going to be protecting the city. While that was obviously true, putting it like he did sounded to Sebastian like an invitation to team up. It was something he really didn't need to be a part of, all things considered.

"I really have to be heading back," he said in lieu of an answer, pointing over his shoulder in the direction he'd arrived from. Excuse given, he turned on his heel and started walking off.

Kyle sat up a little straighter, startled by the Insect Cross's clap. She was suggesting that they all go out to the fast food place to get to know each other. Maybe it was a good idea. After all, if what Sebastian said was true, then Kyle really was a Cross. And that meant he had powers like these other people did. With those abilities, Kyle couldn't just sit back and not help defend the city. Kyle stood up and straddled his dirt bike, while Repeat bounded over and started to climb up his leg. Sebastian was walking off, giving an excuse of some sort. He didn't seem to want to be with these people. Kyle wasn't sure about most of these other Crosses. The Insect girl seemed like she had her act together, but the wolf kid and fox guy... Still, if any of then could help Kyle, he would appreciate it.

"I'll see you around." Kyle said to Sebastain as he walked away. "My name's Kyle, by the way."
With that, Kyle turned back to the group of Crosses.

"Okay." Kyle said to Clover. "I'll be there. But you guys might want to hurry. Those news guys should be here any minute. Anyone want a ride?"

Gaia crossed his arms somewhat irritated when Sabastian left the others and showed no interest in the introductions"hey! names Gaia!" He yelled to Sabastian as he walked away. Gaia then turned his attention to Kyle who shouted his name to Sabastian as well, he seemed to accept the invitation and offered a ride to the food Joint"no thanks, I'll just walk, it's not to far from here anyways"he answered trying to not be rude

Axel looked at the dirtbike and looked a little impressed. "I'll take a ride I've never been on a ride like that so why not. I've never been to the food joint either, I've mainly just hunted for my food with Angel here." The Swift Fox was sniffing the dirtbike then sniffing Kyle then looking at Repeat.

Niala just watched as everyone did their things and then began to head towards the restaurant. "Come on everyone enough of the socially correct nonsense lets just go and we can learn about each other over lunch." Niala yelled over to the rest of them, she was hunger and wanted to know more about this story, the combination of those two facts make her really want to hurry this along, plus just like the other feline Cross said the news guys will be here soon and the last time they found Niala she caused a rather large scene by punching one of them.

Herald hurried along with her, he then looked up at her and said. "Taking charge, I like it." Niala just rolled her eyes and smirked at him as they continued to walk along.

"Take care." She waved at the leaving Sebastian, wondering what job he had. Afterall he was the only one with formal shirt.

The group arrived and got their order and sat together around a table. Clover tried hard not to chomp into her burger right away, she also tried hard not to let her stomach roars.

"Allright, let me start then." She scanned the group. "I'm Clover. I live in this city. If you want to find me you can go to the western side of the city and asked people there about the clover field. My house is there." She knew that her parents had good intention when they change all the flowers there to match their daughter name, but whenever she used it in her introduction she felt a bit embarassed. She tried to cover her embarassment by slurping her tea.

"Also, this here is Polly. My familiar." She pointed at the bumblebee on her left shoulder. "The only thing she can do is buzzing though."

"Bzzzt!"

"That's it." Now that her introduction was out of the way, she could start eating her food, ravenously.

Gaia sat next to clover and listened to her short proclamation before she began to chomp down on her food"when was the last time you ate? Oh right introductions. I'm Gaia, I live next to the western Forest, it's the only house around their so it shouldn't be hard to find, my cross is a Snow Wolf, and this here is Sly"he pointed to the small creature beside him"and I guess that's it" Gaia grinned before he bit down on a cheeseburger and listened for the others to introduce theirselves

Niala sat right next to the window and was already stuffing her face as the rest of them went on with their backstorys, Herald was watching Clover eat like a crazy person and then whispered to Niala with a snicker. "Well there is something you can both agree on." He then went back to staring out the window. Niala just gave him a side glance but then realized that it was her turn. "Guess its my turn now, well you see my name is Niala and the smart guy is Herald, i'm a traveler, i'v only been in town for a few days because of that I don't really have a place to call home but if you need me Just yell around that big building there, I plan on using its roof as a base of operation." Niala said as she finished eating, she began waiting for the next person to start in with their story.

Ember was already at the MgRonald's with her dragon familiar, Klora. Ember had just taken a bite out of her hamburger when an assorted group of people and animals. Since no one seemed to be phased by these creatures, Ember quickly determined that they were all familiars. "Hey, Klora, let's go say hi!" "I don't think that's a good idea." Klora said, but Ember was already halfway there before the dragon familiar was halfway through her sentence. "Hi there!" Ember said. Klora shook her head before joining the dragon Cross.
