This was very helpful, but I have a question.
You see my friend said he was able to breed his legendaries, but I KNOW that's impossible. Is there any way you could do that WITHOUT cheating. If not he's so gonna die. Not literally of course, but he'll be in big trouble. ;)

I think you can breed Rotom, though techincally he's a not Legendary I beleive. There's also the whole Phione/Manaphy thing, but I don't know much about that.

For the most part though, I think all Legendaries are eggless and therefore not breedable.

No legendary Pokémon, aside from Manaphy, can breed. The only way to obtain legendaries are to trade them from other games or using a cheating device.

And Manaphy can breed with Ditto, but the resulting egg will have Phione, not Manaphy. And Phione can not evolve into Manaphy as well.

That should answer your question.
