Private/Closed Pokemon: A Journey Across the Land RP

"Yeah, you're right." murmured Touko, etched upon her face a cold expression, as if she were forcing any kind of emotion back. She furrowed her eyebrows and brushed a stray strand of hair out of her eyes, silent for a few moments as she watched Gabriel's interactions with Key. She supressed a chuckle at his apology, before feeling a poke against her cheek. "Yeah, you can go to, Serpentine." she murmured. The Snivy nodded, but also motioned to Touko's bag- the pocket containing Henry's Pokéball, to be exact. Touko gave the Snivy a confused look, but shrugged, and let the Eevee out. For once, the Pokémon seemed quite neutral, and wasn't growling of snappig at Touko. "Okay, Henry, you can play with Key, Blaze and Serpentine if you want, but don't bite anyone- including me- or you're going right back in here, okay?" she said, a stern look in her eye. Henry agreed, and Serpentine accompanied him in running toward Gabriel's Pokémon. Serpentine gave an Alolan greeting and pranced around the other three, whilst Henry trotted alongside Blaze and Key.

Damocles was in Viridian Forest with Lena and Pidgey, by the looks of things, he appeared to be training his Pokémon for the Pewter City Gym. He had heard that the Gym was a Rock type, but even a trainer with a Fighting type like his Riolu shouldn't underestimate a Gym leader. "Lena, use Force Palm to try and break that rock." Damocles commanded. Lena nodded and used Force Palm on a rock which caused it to loudly explode into pebbles. "Nice. Pidgey, keep up those sharp turns and sudden dashes; You'll need it if you want to stand a chance against the Gym Leander." Damocles said. Pidgey nodded and kept on making sharp turns along with dashes almost like teleportation to the human eye.

"Yaay!", she shouted, "Eevee!" Antonio ran around Alex in circles, and Nido...seemed to open up a bit. Seeing all the other pokemon seemed to calm him down a bit. Alex looked down at Antonio, then at Touko and Serpentine. "Can Antonio and Nido play too?", she asked, "I believe both could use the exercise." She stopped for a moment, seeming lost in thought. "That reminds me!", she blurted, "My mom said that she'd send me a package with some supplies in it. We should probably stop at the PMC once we get to Pewter City!" She then proceeded to look at Touko. "She...", she thought, "Is very hot. Even when her clothes are covering most of her face." She smiled.

Antonio then, as an apology for scaring the Eevee earlier, edged towards Henry, mewling happily. He then, of course, started to run around in circles around Henry. He really liked to run around in circles apparently. "Yaay!", Alex shouted extremely loudly, "Now everybody is happy!" She jumped around with her hands in the air, running like crazy.

Gabriel looked at the Purrloin-girl's excitement as if she was crazy. He didn't trust her. No one could be this cheerful. Unless you were a Pokémon or just a really dumb kid. Maybe that's what the girl was; a dumb kid. But as he still couldn't figure her out, he didn't trust her. He watched Touko's interactions with the Eevee that she claimed she had received on 'work provisions'. He still did not believe that was the case and gave Touko a look of distrust.

Blaze greeted all the new Pokémon with the Alolan greeting. He asked what they all should play during their walk. He thought Serpentine would suggest tag but he wasn't gonna suggest it. If they did end up playing tag, he would most likely be left out as the slow Charmander he was

Antonio turned towards blaze, attempting to do the Alola greeting in return. Despite Purrlions having an awfully sneaky nature, he adopted Alex's nature of extreme happiness and kindness. Alex smiled, but shot a glance at Serpentine. The Snivy made her think of her home region Unova, and all the things she missed about it. To be honest, she hated it here in Kanto, but she would never admit it. She hated being in a new place were she could get lost, with no food or shelter, and no....Wait. There WAS one thing she had here: friends. She she stopped running and sat under a tree, thinking about whether things are so bad after all. But she still knew that someday, she'd have to, no matter what, return back home.

Levi kept following his friends on his bike and looking around the places he was passing by. "Guys, don't y'all think that this is kinda spooky? I heard that the forest has some poisonous bugs, I don't want to meet them!" Levi said, shivering before looking forwards and changing his expression to a serious one. "I think that this is the best chance to train my Pokémon tho," he said, hopping off his bike and carrying it with him.

Levi's Charmander once again opped out of its PokéBall, standing on Levi's head and making a weird noise with its mouth, right before stomping Levi's head. Levi ignored the stomp, but the Charmander then started to do it in a rapid succession, and Levi had to stop, pick it up and retrieve it to its PokéBall. "Why? just why?!?!" He said, resuming his walk.

Serpentine chirped, suggesting some sort of hide and seek- she was aware that Blaze was not particularly fast, especially not in relativity to herself and Antonio. This way, it would probably be more equal, so Blaze would not be left out- the Snivy was quite fond of the Charmander, and wanted to treat him as such.

Touko caught Gabriel's eye as he narrowed his eyes in distrust, and instead of appearing intimidated, she simply smiled, her maroon gaze growing darker as she did so. Soon, though, she was distracted by the other boy with the Charmander who had earlier introduced himself as Levi. She raised her eyebrows at his erratic actions, slightly puzzled at what exactly he was doing- his disobedient Charmander was certainly feisty. "Nah, it's not spooky. What, you scared of bugs or somethin'?" chuckled the girl, entertained quite evidently by the fears of the other.

"Bugs aren't so bad, once you see how easy they can be taken care of", Alex chirped, smiling. She darted in front of Touko. "Touko! Let's battle!", she exclamied, doing poses again. Ranger poses, evil bad guy poses, and of course, that included a Team Skull pose. Nido looked at her, as if he actually liked her enthusiasm for battle. "Pleeeeeaseeee?"

Touko raised her eyebrows yet again, stopping in mid-stride, noticing the girl strike the Team Skull pose- a stab of paranoia stuck her for a moment, though she quickly shook it off. The people here constantly surprised her, especially this Alex girl with her seemingly ceaseless enthusiasm. "Uhh... okay then, sure. One on one, I'm guessing?" she murmured. The Grunt wasn't sure she particularly wanted to take Serpentine from the playing she was doing, and even Henry seemed happy, so... she supposed she had no choice but to use the Ponyta, who she was yet to think of a name for. She released the Pokémon, which neighed enthusiastically, the fire that covered his body blazing bright. "Uhh... you know, that's a pretty good name. Yeah, I'm gonna call you Yuri." In response, Yuri nodded, happy with his new name.

She jumped up, happy. "I'll send out......Nido!", she blurted, looking then at Antonio, "Sorry, Antonio, but it's Nido's turn!" Nido jumped forward, surprised, but happy. He jut his poisonous spikes along his back out, seeming ready for anything. "Wait....before we do, do we have proper healing equipment? We're a decent bit away from a PMC, and I don't want anyone getting too hurt", she said, now acting more professional.

"I do," she murmured. No one needed to know where exactly she had got them- truthfully, from one of her night escapades, but... that wasn't what she would tell people. "Okay, go on then. You can have the first attack." Yuri's flames sparked slightly in annoyance, but Touko offered the Ponyta a glance which told him, we're gonna win this and I know we will. Yuri liked Touko's confidence, something that matched his own, so he nodded, glaring forward in a battle stance.

"We're gonna win this, Nido!", Alex shouted confidently, "Use tackle!" She gave shot a glance at him, looking at his poisonous spikes. She winked, showing him to use them. He launched himself into the air, landing on top of the horse-like pokemon. He latched on, momentarily jamming his horn into Yuri.

On a body made of flames, Touko thought maybe the Nidoran would be smarter than to jump atop Yuri. But, alas, she was wrong- well, alas for Nido, anyways. Yuri stumbled but stayed on his feet at the impact of the Tackle- and Touko, reacting quickly knowing of Nido's poisons, shouted, "Go, Fire Spin!" Yuri's entire body set alight with whirling flames, hopefully trapping Nido within them.

"The fact that you're scared of bugs when you have a Pokémon with a tail that's on fire makes me wonder about your intelligence" Gabriel told the boy. Then he noticed Touko and the Purrloin girl start a battle. He sat down and leaned his back towards a tree and watched. For whatever reason, he wanted Touko to win this battle. But he also found himself wanting her to lose. And not for the reason he expected of himself.
Blaze was happy that Serpentine hadn't suggested Tag but was worried about how to hide his tail. But that was a problem for him to figure out.
"Char!" He chirped happily and smiled. He asked who should be the first to look for everyone. He suggested himself but if anyone else wanted to look, that was fine too.

Nido tried to get out, but was unsuccessful. He screeched, trying to avoid the flames. "Nido!", Alex shouted, scared, "Grab on with your claws and try to find and opening!" He extended his claws, still trying to avoid the flames. He grabbed on tight, and seeing a small spot on Yuri's back open, he clamped down with his teeth, biting as hard as possible. "Try to outlast him, Nido!", Alex exclaimed.

Touko's eyes drifted to Gabriel for a long moment, noticing how she was watching. She became more determined to win, balling her fists and narrowing her eyes, for whatever reason. Her expression shifted into one of shock, as the fires distinguished and Nido bit Yuri on the back. The Ponyta cried out, attempting to throw off the Nidoran by bucking violently. A flame still span around Nido, which would damage him every so often, as the effect of Fire Spin came into play. "Once you get Nido off, use Stomp!" Touko ordered.

Hearing Touko's command towards Yuri, Alex's mind raced. She then had an idea. It was dangerous and risky, but if it worked, she could get Nido out of the fire spin AND Yuri's hooves. "Nido! Let go!", she shouted. He let go. Flying up into the air, he twisted his body and landed on his feet, shaken but nor defeated. "Nido! Watch out for Yuri's hooves!", she exclaimed, Antonio watching in excitement and horror. Nido readied himself for Yuri's stomp, bristling his points out.

"Yuri, watch out!" Touko called, gasping- but the Ponyta's enthusiasm prevented him from listening, and he stomped down hard. At the power he stomped, Nido couldn't have gon uninjured, but it hurt Yuri much more that it would have hurt Nido. Yuri cried in pain, knees shaking and threatening to give way- but, he did not give up. Touko realised that, with Nido's poison spines, Yuri would need to use long range attacks. "Flame Wheel! And stay on your toes! Take Down if Nido gets closer to you!" Yuri ejected a rapidly spinning wheel of fire that would close in on Nido and burst upon impact.

"Sorrybutnotsorry!", Alex exclaimed, trying not to smirk. She knew that that must've hurt, but it was an opening. "Nido! Dodge!", she exclaimed. Nido nearly got devoured by the flames. He panted, starting to be a little tired. "Hang in there, buddy!", Antonio said, in the language that only pokemon understand. He smiled, and Nido gave a bit of a smile back. He ran through Yuri's legs, attacking them underneath. He then ran back towards Alex, panting and breathing heavily. If he managed to get Yuri down, he could finish him off.

Yuri attempted to attack Nido as he got close to her, but damn that Nidoran was fast- and easily took out Yuri's legs. Touko growled, digging her nails into her palms so hard she almost made them bleed. "Yuri, get up! I know you can!" she encouraged, but the Ponyta was getting rapidly tired, struggling to get up. He breathed a feeble and slow ember toward Nido.

Nido, already tired, got burnt from the ember. He screeched, made one last push, and rammed whatever strength he had left into Yuri. He stood on top of him, panting and wheezing.

Yuri, exhausted, was tackled furiously by Nido, and let out a yelp, before going motionless and resting his head on the grass. "Aw, crap!" cursed Touko, putting her head in her hands. She reached one of her stolen Revives and a Potion from her shoulder bag, and healed up Yuri. The Ponyta had an air of annoyance about him, but not at Touko- at himself. Touko patted the Ponyta on the head, and Yuri moved his flaming head toward Touko, allowing her to stroke the top of his head, where the fire burned. Touko knew that Ponyta could control its flames so that its trainer was not burned by them, so she was genuinely pleased. "Sorry, Yuri." she muttered, her eyes cast upon the ground. An air of melancholy still surrounded Touko however, as for some reason, she really did not want to lose in front of Gabriel. She didn't know why, but... she felt utterly mortified.

Gabriel saw Touko lose. And partly, he was dissapointed. But on the other hand, he felt happy about it. He didn't know why. But he did know it wasn't because he thought of her as a bad person. Because... he didn't think if her as a bad person. That confused him. So he was gonna keep the next action simple.
"Too bad you lost" he said and leaned back at the tree again. It was getting late now. They would most likely have to camp out here in the forest. But first they should find a good place to do so. They couldn't exactly camp right here. This was where most people passed to get to Pewter City. So if they put up camp right here, the people passing through would be a pain.

Alex smiled, happy. "It's getting late, should we head on over to a PMC or something?" She pulled out a potion and a rawst berry, giving them both to Nido. He immediately felt refreshed, smiling back. Antonio rushed towards him, congratulating him on the win. Nido, then puffed up his chest, seeming to be boasting a little.

"There's no time for that. We need to set up camp somewhere. Not here though. Where we are right now is a pretty busy route. So we should find a good place first" Gabriel said. He got up.
"If everyone's ready we should start looking for a place to set up camp. We should be pretty close to the end of the forest but there's still some way to go" he said and started walking.

(@Red Gallade we could be close to you now and hear you train soon. Or did you end your training?)

"Yeah, but... I definitely ain't gonna lost to any of you EVER again." she grumbled stubbornly, frowning. She returned Yuri, something other than losing obviously bothering her- but instead of confronting what that something was, the Grunt just pushed it to the back of her mind, constantly screaming internally to herself that FORGET ABOUT IT FORGET ABOUT IT FORGET ABOUT IT.

Hearing the others talking about keeping camp, Touko groaned audibly, but didn't complain explicitly. "Um, well... I guess. Maybe we should get off the path, so we don't block the way for anyone who might be passing through." she grumbled, starting to walk off to the side just off of the path.

Damocles smiled and sat on a rock as he watched how well Lena and Pidgey progressed on their training. "Alright guys, I think that wraps up our training for today. You'll both be putting your skills to the test tomorrow." Damocles said as he got up, Pidgey nodded and landed on his shoulder whilst the Riolu happily pranced around, clearly excited for the Pewter city Gym battle... which now looking at the dim evening sunlight made her realise why she would have to wait until tomorrow.

"Alright, now let's go find a place to camp." Damocles said as he went to return Pidgey to his Poké ball. He and Lena began to make their way to the main path and stopped when they saw a group of familiar people. "Well, how 'bout that." He said to himself as he walked toward the group and raised his arm in greeting. "Hey guys!"

Alex turned around, hearing Damocles. "Oh, hey!", she shouted, "Where were you?" Antonio ran towards Lena and Pidgey, greeting them with enthusiasm. Nido walked towards the pair, seeing if he could say hi as well. Antonio ran back towards Alex, jumping on her head. Nido nudged Alex's leg, and she returned him to his pokeball to sleep. The golden Purrlion, tired as well, climbed off of her shoulder and into her bag, where he curled into a ball, cozy.

Gabriel just smiled at Touko's comment. He imagined she was ashamed to lose and felt bad for her. Wait... what!? He felt bad for her? He shoved that thought away immediately. Why couldn't he just learn that he would just confuse himself with those thoughts? He ignored that thought as well and turned to the guy who had just arrived. He knew this guy. It was the Riolu-guy from earlier. Gabriel didn't remember his name. He didn't even remember if the guy had introduced himself. But he didn't care either.
"Hey" he simply said. "Alright, where should we set up camp?". He asked no one in particular. He just asked without expecting an answer.

Alex looked around. The only visible areas were along the route, and people used it too much. "Maybe there'll be a clearing somewhere?", she thought aloud. She turned towards Touko, and looked at her for a moment, thinking about how perfect she was, even when she lost the battle. She stared off into space for a moment, then, not wanting to attract attention to her feelings about her, turned back to everyone else. "Should one of us scout ahead or something?", she asked.

Damocles shrugged. "I was just off training for the Pewter Gym. Pidgey and Lena have definetaly improved." He said with a smile whilst Lena put her hands on her hips after cheerfully greeting those who greeted her, clearly she was happy to see some familiar faces just as Damocles was.

Gabriel gave off a sigh. Then he climbed up in a tree to see a bit further in every direction. He saw a small clearing not very far from where they were. It seemed to have water there as well. Not much, but water is water. He climbed down again.
"Come on. This way. Blaze, Key. We're leaving" he said. The Charmander and the Mankey reluctantly stopped playing to follow Gabriel. Blaze hoped that Gabriel still allowed their friends to come. Gabriel hadn't acted weird for a while now so Blaze figured the danger was over. Key on the other hand was new to the group and didn't have any idea on what had happened earlier. He thought that they all would come along and that they all would be friends. He was completely oblivious.
"Are you coming?" Gabriel asked everyone which made Blaze smile.
