Jublife city pokemon contest!

(Anyone who wants to join post here before the end of the preliminary rounds. These contest will be done as in the amine not the games where they are total rubbish. The score you get at the first round will be announced by me or Galain. For the first round you will use one Pokemon and show it off using a max of 5 moves. After than the people who move on will engage in contest battles until only 2 are left. The final battle will be judged by Linkachu.)

"Welcome everyone to the prestigious Jublife city Pokemon contest. I'm sure today we will be seeing some of the finnest coordinators that Sinnoh has to offer. The prise they are all compeating for today if the wonderful Jublife city contest ribbon." The presenter then went on to display to the crowd what the ribbon for this contest looked like. It was red with a large sun shaped gold medalion in the middle. It went on in this way for a while but Elias did not really watch. He was sitting back stage with everyone else compeating watching it on the screen.

"Remember the first round will be an appeal round where the coordinators will work to show of the beauty, grace and power of there Pokemon. Points will be awarded out of 10 from each of our 3 judges. Our judges today will be Mr Contesta, Mr Sukizo and nurse Joy." The announcer went on a bit longer describing how wonderful the performances today where bound to be. Elias turned away he had to get ready as well.

"At least there is a good sized crowd this could be fun." Elias said looking down at the Pokemon standing by his side. Roselia looked better than ever as it watched confidently clearly eager to get out on stage. He knew they would do well but getting the number one spot and hopefully a perfect score in the first round was easy task, but it was his goal anyway. He looked around at the other people compeating he wondered if he would recognise any of them.

Of course he had spent countless hours training perfecting his combinations and strategy for today. He knew it would take something special to win but he had prepared for that. Smiling he sat down near the screen to watch the rest of the opening ribbon presentation

"Welcome everyone to the prestigious Jublife city Pokemon contest. I'm sure today we will be seeing some of the finest coordinators that Sinnoh has to offer."
Galain heard the presenter announce to the crowd. They yelled and cheered in joy and excitement and they showed the ribbon for this contest.
Galain smiled in excitement. This is why it was better to be a coordinator than anything else.

He looked down at his own Pokemon for this round, Togepi. For once it seemed to realize how important this was, but still looked relaxed. They had done a few preliminary rounds together before after all.

From his seat near to the back of the coordinators room, he could see Elias and Roselia near the front. Probably ready to win as well. But Galain knew as well as everyone else in here did that second place was as good as last, and that there could be only one winner, and that would be him.

"So Elias, are you ready to see which one of us is really the best?" He asked Elias, walked up and sitting next to him. Togepi followed and jumped up onto the seat as well.

(A few more details have been edited into my first post. Remember anyone can join even if contests arnt quite your thing.)

Elias ran a finger threw his streak black hair as he looked to his left where Galain had moved to sit down. His green eyes flashed with new interest. So he had made it here after all he had wondered if he would even really enter knowing he would have to go up against him. Well now things were likely to get competitive Sinnoh had better look out because he was sure they had a intense battle coming there way. Elias turned his head away to hide that he was smiling.

"Who wins today wont decide who is the better coordinator it only decides who gets the ribbon. If you want to see if your better than me come along to this years grand festival so i can put you out in front of the entire country." Elias said turning back to face Galain, he was waring a confident smirk now. Of course he had some right to be confident after there last battle he knew Roselia was ready for anything and he was not willing to accept anything but victory. He turned to look at the screen again wondering how long it would be before he was out there.

"Of course its now wise to assume the other coordinators will give in without a fight. You might be eager to win Galain but its going to take some skill as well." Elias said looking back at him with one raised eyebrow as if to say he doubted Galain was good enough yet. Looking away he tried to size up the rest of the coordinators here wondering who would put up the best fighting for the ribbon. He sat with his arms folded across his white shirt as he waited quite for things to get underway.

It was true, no contest was really easy. However this was going to be his first contest in the Sinnoh region, and he was determined for it to be a good one, even if he didn't win.

He looked down at Togepi. It seemed as ready as he was to perform
"Togi, Togi!" It chirped at him, obviously wanting to go now.

"Slow down Togepi, we have to wait for our turn after all"
Galain told Togepi.

Looking back over at Elias he said
"I know this won't be a push over. But I also know that I can win this contest if I do well enough. I'm sure that Togepi feels the same way as well." He said.
He looked around at the other coordinators. Some looked weak, scared and nervous. Others looked nervous but determined. And there was a few that looked confident, and lastly the very few who looked overconfident. That was usually a mistake.

"So are you ready to give a great performance?" He asked Elias and Roselia. This question wasn't only meant for the trainer, but also the Pokemon.

(Ok i will do my performance first then. If anyone else wants to participate post before the first round is over)

Elias in a way found he could not understand Galain. He seemed to modest but also at the same time confident. He shock his head it did not really matter, if he came up against him in the contest then he would give it his best shot.

"I would not be here if i did not intend to give a great show." Elias said as he turned away to give Roselia some her favourate pokeblock. He still had not had a chance to find any poffins. However Roselia was still in top condition he doubted it would make much difference today but it was something to look into in future.

"I had better get ready I'm on first." Elias said as he stood and walked towards the door leading on stage, Roselia following just behind. It was of course nice to be on first, a year ago he would be feeling nervous but now all he felt was a sense of confidence in his act.

"Our first Coordinator is a young man from LaRousse City in the Hoenn region, please welcome Elias." He heard the announcer saying on the speakers as he waited behind the curtain. Roselia was not back in the pokeball ready to give the performance. He took a breath then walked out on stage.

On the TV, Galain saw the announcer let in Elias.
"Our first Coordinator is a young man from LaRousse City in the Hoenn region, please welcome Elias." The announcer cried.

Galain wondered how Elias would do. He could vaguely remember watching Roselia perform before, and he knew it would be impressive. He had no real doubts in that Elias would get through. He also knew that he was easily good enough to get through this preliminary round. It usually only knocked out the people who didn't try enough, or made big mistakes. And while Galain seemed to be modest, he still knew he was good enough to get through it.

He though what Elias would do next. Considering Roselia knew petal dance and magical leaf, Galain knew Elias would use at least one of those moves, probably both. But the most important thing was to link moves together, so that both trainer, Pokemon and audience were linked together as well.

So instead of pointlessly hoping that Elias would ruin it for himself, instead he wanted to cheer the arrogant kid on, so he could give his best performance.
"Good luck with it Elias, show them all how its done" Galain said quietly. He knew that Elias couldn't here him, but he felt it should be said anyway.

Elias stepped out on stage making sure to smile at the crowd of eager contest fans who waited for him to start. It was a good sized audience all right clearly contest where as popular here as back home. Well he intended to give them a show they would never forget, he was about more than talk. He held Roselia's pokeball in hand as he took center stage. He would be using a ball seal for the first time today, it had look good in practice he just hoped it was to the crowd's liking as well.

"All right Roselia lets go." He said as he slipped the seal onto the ball and threw it high up into the air. At first there came a sound like the wind rushing threw trees then Roselia appeared in a green flash surrounded by faint green dust. He had not had time to go threw a huge range of seals but it had defiantly been the best one he could find.

"Alright use sunny day then follow with petal dance." Elias said as he ran a finger threw his air, he looked perfectly calm clearly not worried at all. Roselia quickly jumped up into the air both her petal glowing as she shot a bright light light from them up into the sky. The area had a open roof and soon a right light was blazing down from above. Still air born Roselia went into a spin showering down petals onto the stage but plenty floating on the breeze. Roselia finished the combination by landing back on stage with crossed legs and petal hands as she looked up at her handy work. The bright sun light now reflected the color of the pink petals shining reflected pinkish light all over the stage and the audience. The light flickered on the sharp petal edged as eventually they all came down around Roselia.

"Next use magical leaf and stun spore." Elias waved his hand giving Roselia the signal to move onto part 2 of there performance. Roselia span on the stop then pointed her arms in opposite directions. Magical leaf shot out from both but like he had done before it span in a small cyclone, one from each petal as they when out and then upwards in opposite directions. Then Roselia added stun spore which came out as shiny Orange powder which magical leafs power and accuracy guided up with the twisting leaves into 2 bright Orange magical leaf twisters. Roselia adjusted the aim and both twisters when up into the sky and collide above Roselia's head. There was a small bright green and orange explosion as they collide with impressive power. The light still shining from sunny day came down again flicking light threw the cloud of dispersed stun spore. Elias could hear the audience applauding but he had too concentrate on the finish now.

"Finish up with grass whistle." Elias said as they moved onto there big finish. With a wonderful orange stun spore cloud still coming down around Roselia his Pokemon drew a leaf up to her mouth. The sound that came out next was very soothing although Roselia modulated it slightly so that it did not put the audience to sleep just made them feel released. Quickly it was over as Roselia finished the tune as the last of the stun spore landed around her feet. Elias walked over and together they bowed towards the crowd there act finished.

Elias looked up and over at the judges who would now give him his score for the first round. Clearly he wanted to get as many points out of 10 as he could from each of them so hopefully he would end up first after this round.

Galain watched Elias's performance. He wasn't really surprised, but he was still impressed. Elias was good at the format of the first round for sure.
The first move was good, showing of Roselia's grace as well as its moves, linking them together to make an overall better move. It was good to see the blots of what looked like light, floating with the petals around Roselia.
However it was the second move that was better. He had seen this move before of course, when they had battled before. Galain knew it was a great move to do in a battle as well as a preliminary round. Not only did it show off Roselia, but it also was a move unique to Elias, showing that he had originality and talent at the same time.
The finish was fine as well, letting the remains of the previous move light up Roselia as it performed its grass whistle. Having Roselia perform using sound as well, especially by looking good with the spores and leaves made a great ending.

Galain didn't think Elias would get 10 out of 10, that was only reserved for the best, and you only did the best when you needed the best. However Galain also had no doubt that Elias would make it through the round with it.
He thought about his own performance. He was sure it was good enough to make it through the round, but he wasn't sure if it would be better than this one.

He looked down at Togepi and said
"Well Togepi, we will be up soon. Are you ready to blow them all away?" He was the leader of his team of Pokemon, and Galain knew that he should always keep up the confident, optimistic view with them, even if he had doubts himself

"Togi, Togepi!" The Spike Ball Pokemon cried out. Well at least Togepi knew what to do.
Galain smiled at Togepi, then took out its Pokeball and put it inside. With that he added the case around it. He would be up soon.

((OutOfCookies: Sounds cool. I'll join. I need another RP to take up spare time anyways..))

Caspian stood in the back stage amongst a small crowd of fellow contestants, only half-listening as the first coordinator was called. Poppy, his beloved Meowth, merely sat vigilant in her human's lap and watched hawkishly as a male trainer, called Elias, stepped forward and took the spot-light through a set of maroon curtains. The boy with cotton-candy hair and dark chocolate eyes was much more occupied in musing over the strategy he was going to use. Mindlessly feeding Poppy an orange-colored poffin, said pokemon taking it and munching away at it happily, the pre-teen hadn't heard much of the announcer's words. Not that such situation could cause problems, as he guessed Poppy would have been paying attention the entire time, or alteast enough to remember the introduction.

Caspian had been informed of this contest by none other than his Aunt, twice removed, Nurse Joy who was going to be judging the event. So, of course, when Poppy had found out by association she went ballistic and demanded they take a break from battling and adventuring to be part of the contest since the last time they had been involved with one was so long ago. Caspian had no choice but to comply, yet it wasn't a big problem.. he missed the sights and sounds of these competitions nearly as much as his Meowth partner. It was obvious she was much more interested in looking her best, though, as she'd taken extra care to wear a set of jade beads along with her usual sapphire necklace. her eyelashes had been swiped with a form of mascara, her claws had been grown out and sharpened every hour on the hour. Plus, her coat seemed even shinier than it normally did- which was saying something.

He vaguely knew that one peerson had been called up already, and Poppy watched with locked interest on the TV awaiting the person to be called up to perfrom. The last coordinator did wonderfully, but she would simply fake an uncaring attitude and look away, playing it like there was no worry in her mind at all that this would be a tough competition. Caspian might as well have been asleep, but he had managed to catch a few words from the announcers and murmurs of other people, not to mention all the clapping going on. Winning was good and all, but if it required him to fret or be the least bit doubtful he didn't want to think about it. So, while Poppy did her best, he just wanted to have fun being involved. Their moves were limited to mostly offense, but it was here the boy's childish imagination came into play with thinking up hundreds of cool design and maneuvers they could perfrom for a good score.

He had never been to Jubilife much before. It was an odd town, and he knew very few people. So those performing were all but mysteries and those around were unknown strangers. Bored by now and still locked away in his brain, Caspian couldn't wait for his own chance to come up. And it looked like Poppy was just as excited, despite that facadecool look of hers.

"Kyaaa! Wimsy, you can't go up on stage yet! It's not your tuuuurn!" Ethan exclaimed rushing to grab the excited Wynaut from running out onstage again, "You aren't even allowed to perform, anyways. Your don't exactly have many diverse-OUCH! What was that for, you stupid little..." Ethan fumed at the blue psychic-type for biting his arm in a futile attempt to get free.

"Wyyynauuut!" The little thing yelled, struggling to be free from the trainer's grasp. She simply wanted to get dressed up and make everyone in the audience envy her. Unfortunately, that isn't possible once one is returned to your pokeball. Putting the ball back in his bag, Ethan sighed. It was a last minute decision to join this contest for him, and he felt positively dwarfed by all the competition. And the clothing, for that matter. Compared to all the formal dresswear everyone had on, Ethan was just in a long sleeve shirt and some pants. He had even felt awkward passing the registration lady, who had raised an eyebrow at his clothing, but at least he got in.

Ethan was also kind of wondering what dragged him here in the first place. He hadn't done a contest in a while, so why start now? As he closed his light blue eyes, he suddenly remembered: He had totally spaced out and walked up to the registration counter instead of going up to the other one that lead to the audience. He could mostly blame it on a certain time-consuming Wynaut and him constantly saying yes when he isn't listening. Ethan was still making last minute decisions, as he only recently told his Pokemon they were going to be in a contest, and needless to say, they were rather shocked. He still had to pick what he was going to use too, and that was the least of his worries.

Hearing the sound of applause and the like coming from onstage, Ethan decided to take a look at to whom it was directed towards. Brushing by some odd person with pink hair, and quickly murmuring an apology, he got a better look at the TV, and saw that it was someone he had seen not too long ago. "Oh...That's, um, Elias, I think..." He said to himself. Normally, Ethan wasn't too shy, but the stares he was getting from people due to his attire was unnerving him.Watching the Roselia perform, Ethan felt a strike of nervousness pierce him to his heart as he watched the twister of leaves spin around the dainty little thing. Taking a seat on the floor he sighed running his fingers through his gloden-brown hair, thinking, How the heck am I going to do this?

(yay we got some people joining! ;D Anyway I was meant to give him a rank for it, oops. Oh and I will go up last, so you two might as well post first)

The three judges talked it over amongst them. After a little while for the nerves to get up they stood up and put in each of their scores.
First Contesta showed his score- a 9.5
Then Mr. Sukizo stood up, said something about it bieng remarkable and showed a 9.4
Finally Nurse Joy got up, said that Roselia had been well brought up by its trainer, and gave him a 9.6

"Wow, Elias and Roselia have got a score of 28.5 (I think)! Thats going to put the pressure on everyone else." the announcer Marian said.

(If either F0NG3R or 4Kids Rep. can do there profromance next that would be great, then will give you your score out of a max of 30)

Elias smiled and bowed again as he stood up with Roselia at this side. They made there way back off stage now there apple round was over, he had thought it had been good but it was what the judges said that mattered. His score had been far from perfect so he had a lot of work to still do but with a 28.5 he was sure to make the next round and maybe in first place as long as no one else pulled out an miraculous performance. Of course making it threw was all that really counted as the draws for the next round were all totally random, still being first was always nice. Roselia still seemed happy and smiled as they made there way back stage into the room where everyone else waited.

"So Galain i take it you caught our performance, that was a good start i would say." Elias said as he made his way back into the room where everyone was waiting. Of course he could not resist make a remark of that kind to Galain just to see if he was nervous about his own performance or not. Roselia seemed just as confident as her trainer as she relaxed putting her flower petals behind her head "Rose." She said giving Galain and Togepi a highly confident look. Elias at down and quickly took out his pokeblock case feeding Roselia some of her favourate as a reward for performing so well out there today. He looked up noticing a few more trainers had arrived since he had gone down, he wondered which of them would be next on stage.

((OutOfCookies: Booyah. I'll go first, if that's cool?))

Caspian blinked and nodded half consciously as he was apologized to by a guy with tawny-brown locks, Poppy not drawing her gaze from the screen for even a moment. She was determined to sit watch until they were called up to perform, as the first person came back through the curtains after putting on a very impressive performance. The Meowth and her boyish trainer were not forced to wait long, however, as the voice of the announcer started up again, this time announcing the second coordinator to come into view. "Our next coordinator is an experienced trainer all the way from the Orange Islands- Caspian Zephal!" The Scratch Cat's eyes flickered with some new emotion and she swiped at the pink-topped kid's leg, effectively waking him from his stupor. Almost mechanically understanding what Poppy was attempting to convey through physical violence, Caspian quickly retrieved his favored Love Ball and called the shiny kitty-cat back inside. No proper entrance could be done without a dramatic releasing of a pokemon from a pokeball, that was for sure.

Grinning to himself, the twelve-year-old took over those few steps between him and the dark red cloths covering the entry-way. He couldn't wait to hear the rallying cries of fans and the flash of cameras which all pinned the limelight onto himself and his beloved Meowth. Caspian drew back the right veil with one hand before disappearing through it, and being embraced by the outside stage where he walked onto with a casual smile on his face and that familiar laze in his step. As if there was no such thing as stage-fright, but also no reason to be so overprideful with everything. Confidence made people loose sight of things, and with his coffee-toned optics swiveling around to spot the Nurse Joy he knew before waving openly, there was no doubt about it. Caspian was so not confident, he had become confident by default.

((OutOfCookies: That last bit was kinda pushin it..))

"Oh, snap," Ethan muttered to himself as he saw Elias' obtained score, and added, "I'm really going to need to get my act together if I'm going to get through this..." Ethan gripped his knees even tighter towards him as he heard the blue denim rub together. As he saw the most recent contestant return backstage, he saw him walk over to another face he hadn't seen too long ago. "Oh my, I think its...Galain!" Immediately perking up at seeing more than one person he knew he jumped up from his seat, passing right by the boy he had recently brushed by, and skipped right towards the back of the room.

Running straight up to the pair, he immediately and enthusiastically exclaimed, "HEY GUYS! Ahah, what are you doing here," Immediately realizing the answer to this question, he corrected himself, saying, "Ack! Well, I suppose I should be asking myself that! Eheh, sorry," Ethan looked down at the floor from embarrassment for a second, and then returned his head to its original position, saying, "Wow, you really ARE good, Elias! Your Roselia-I mean," Ethan turned his head towards the small flower pokemon and continued, "You did really well, Roselia!" Ethan grinned, and then said, "Well, how are you all doing?" Turning his head to the TV, he saw that pink haired boy, who apparently was next. Remembering how confident he had looked, he idly commented, "Everyone's so stiff and self-centered here, it's really unnerving..."

(Apologies if this seems rather short.)

Galain watched the next person go up onto the stage. He seemed very confident as well, but would be beat Elias's score? Not that he had to, but Galain knew everyone here wanted to beat it.

He looked about, Elias was suddenly next to him, as well as Ethan! he hadn't expected him to join the contest, but was glad that he had, but if they went up against each other, Galain would not go easy on him. ;D

"wow Ethan, I didn't expect you to enter, I hope you do well here." He said to Ethan, then he turned back to Elias
"Yep, you did well in your performance, congratulations Roselia" He said, turning to Roselia. He didn't say if he was complementing Roselia or Elias, it was funner to let them guess.

He wondered what Ethan would use for the preliminaries. He didn't think he would use that Probopass, but he might use the Smoochum he had seen before.

"So Ethan, do you know which Pokemon your going to use for the preliminaries?" He asked him

Caspian grinned lightly. It was officially show time. The dark-eyed pre-teen tossed his one and only pokeball on-hand, a Love Ball, into the air rather effortlessly. The female Meowth appearing in a flash of red light and going straight into her presentation- dropping to the ground of the stage on all fours to face the judges. She absolutely gleamed in the bright lamps placed upon her, eyes holdingthe essence of fire her companion lacked. Claws out, ears flicked back for good measure, she only half-heard what her trainer said; "Maneuver 18-d, 11-a!" but that really didn't matter now. Both had practiced this trick so much they didn't even need the pretense of orders or communication for pulling it off without a hitch.

Poppy's nails stretched out and she flicked them around in wave motions to shop off just how pointed they were to all those viewing. If people were looking anyway, she was going to give them something to look at- showing off was one of her many down-falls. Quite instantaneously, her left paw became incased in the familiar black aura of a Shadow Claw move whilst the left's tips were now a bright white color that was brighter than the spotlight she held. The cat then leaped into the air and streaked her left hand down, a blob of curvy silver flash left hung in a soft breeze which blew nowhere. It looked somewhat lonely up there, all by itself. Then her other appendage was next to fly, leaving a black blob accompanying it's lighter twin with very close proximity. The shape of those opposite tones being side by side in a circular way was oddly familiar, that was undeniable, but just what was it? Before the colors could vanish, Caspian gave his second command despite Poppy already being a step ahead of him, "Maneuver 1-d!"

As if on que, glistening golden coins began to appear out of nothingness near the ceiling of the stage and fell around the floating design. As if raining money. Poppy had used PayDay, and the now clear yin-yang symbol she had created was being showered in a fortune. Beads displaced by all the movement swung wildly around her neck, body held in a quite dramatic pose for the millisecond just previous to her descent. The shiny Meowth landed gracefully on all fours, perfectly below her artistic show, in what seemed to be a pile of dazzling coins. All in the relatively same shape as her headpiece. Like the lady Poppy had always truly been, she bowed graciously to the crowd which cheered for the performance. Caspian merely grinned onward from his place behind the Scratch Cat.

"Oh hi i remember you from before at the Pokemon center wanst it. You were the guy with the porygon what was it...oh Ethan right?" Elias said as his memory clicked in and he remembered the trainer from before. He and Galain had watched him battle before against another trainer. He had not thought of him as a coordinator back then but maybe this was more of a one off for him. "Well its good that your compeating in contests there a great way for you to really bond with your Pokemon." Elias said it was clear from what he was saying that he considered that to be one of the most important things a coordinator needed to do to win. Roselia looked pleased at the praise she was getting from both other trainers as she smiled sweetly at Elias side.

Before he could say any more he turned his attention to the monitor as a guy with a differently coloured Meowth took to the stage. He quickly got threw his performance using moves like shadow claw and payday to show off his Pokemon. "Hum." Elias said as he watched expressionlessly it was diffcult to tell if he thought it had been good or not. Of course he almost never actually praised anyone, and when he did it was only for something very special. So for him this was a quite normal reaction as he kept his thoughts mostly to himself. "Good luck Ethan it would be awesome if we battled in the second round assuming you can make it threw the preliminary round." Elias said as he ran a hand threw his hair still watching the screen. The judges it seemed had come to there decision and were ready to give out there scores.

Mr contests held up his score it was 9.1 "A good performance"
Mr. Sukizo held up his score which was 8.8 "Remarkable."
Nurse Joy Finlay held gave her score too 8.9 "I juts loved how Meowth is so cute."

"So that gives Caspian a total score of 26.8 give him a round of applause." Marian said as the crowd stood to show there appreciation.

Hearing Galain's question, Ethan wasn't sure he had an answer at all. He had just entered this, so he was having last minute thoughts going through his head. As he looked down at the ground for a second, he looked back up at Galain and said, "Well, I have no idea! I'm just kind of hoping that it'll work out, as it was an accidental choice for me to end up in the contest anyway." He then took on a huge grin and said, "Well, you guys must think you know what I'm using too, but I don't think so," Reaching into his bag, he pulled out a Dive Ball, a Net Ball, an Ultra Ball, a Heal Ball, and two Dusk Balls, all of them having stickers on it, "Before I came here, I decided to switch my team up, as my battle before with Terrence was really tiring and stuff."

Hearing some more applause coming from the audience, Ethan turned to the TV screen and saw the boy's Meowth daintily land on all fours inside the circle of coins. His eyes lit up, and he exclaimed, "Oh my gosh! What a cute kitty!" He turned back to the two after seeing the score and said, "Well, I think I'm going next, and I have to get last minute preparations done, so, I hope I do well! Wish me luck!" Ethan then turned and walked away from the duo, feeling the Pokeballs that he has, and waited behind the stage for that boy to get off it.

Galain watched as the current trainer with a meowth got a score of 26.8. That meant he would get through to the next round as well, unless everyone here was really good.

He had certainly been surprised when he had seen the Yin-Yang symbol in their air showering coins on the floor. It had been a great combination. Galain would have to watch this one, he could be a challenge.

He looked back to Ethan. It would be interesting to see what he would do in the performance, especially since Galain didn't know what Pokemon he would use
"Good luck with the performance Ethan! show them all how brilliant your Pokemon are." Galain tried to encorage him. He wasn't sure if Ethan would get stage fright, but he had to be confident otherwise his Pokemon might mess up.

((Im joining if thats ok))

Wolf walked on stage with her shiny Umbreon once Caspian was done with his Meowth. She was nervous to be in front of people even though she did contests before. She looked at Night, the shiny Umbreon looking at her with his yellow eyes. The moment lasted only a heartbeat till they turned back to the screaming crowd of fans.

Night ran into center stage, waiting for Wolf's command. They had practiced all day for this and they weren't going to waste the practice for anything."Night! Use Shadow Ball! Then jump!" She called. Night then jumped into the air where the ball of darkness he launched a few seconds ago, then she added,"Now use Screech!" Night did what he was told and the ball of shadows came down in dark sparkles to the ground. They weren't finished yet though.... "Double Team, Go!" Wolf shouted with joy, it was going as planed. Night then made a circle with the illusion of him going around fast. "Finale..." Wolf whispered, then she screamed,"MOONLIGHT!" Night, with his speed clones, looked up into the sky, then his blue rings on his body glowed and the sun disappeared behind a black sphere. Then a dim-light came from the sphere and into the blue rings of Night. He stopped spinning to let the moonlight flow into his body. The sun came once all of the moonlight was absorbed. Wolf was so happy and proud that she couldn't help but run up to Night , knelt on the ground in her blue-black dress, and gave him a hug. She buried her head in his night-black fur, tears streaming down her face. Now all they needed was a score......

((((EDIT: SORRY SORRY SORRY!!!!! I accidentally cut in-front of Galain -_-; MY FAULT!!!))))

Oh. Oh no that girl didn't. This was exactly what he was thinking. Ethan didn't like to get flustered, and he was just walking onstage when the girl simply cut in front of her. Right now, he was fuming, and stamping his foot, waiting for her turn to be over. He didn't even care as to what she was doing with her appeal. Not even feeling a single ounce of sympathy or happiness when he saw her breaking down in tears. From what he knew, that was not how a co-ordinator behaves, from his standpoint.

At this point, a certain happy blue pokemon popped out of its Pokeball and leaped onto his head, in an attempt to calm Ethan down. However, it was to no avail. Ethan was not amused and simply said, with a hint of irritation in his tone, "Wimsy, I have no time for this..." And with that, he returned a slightly saddened Wynaut to her Ball. Ethan then resumed tapping his foot in annoyance, checking the time on his PokeNav, and watching the board onstage to see when the score would be given out so that he could finally get his turn.

((((THIS IT PROBABLY THE SHORTEST POST ON POKECHARMS.COM!!!! BUT I HAVE TO GO TO BED!!!! C U LATERZ!!))))

Then why reply at all? This is your second time now breaking the PRP rules, and it's starting to look like you did not even take your previous warning to heart.

Do not post if you don't have the time to do it properly. Just as it says in the rules, we're looking for quality over quantity of posts. If you can't give a decently length reply with the amount of time you have... just don't make one =/

The crowd applauded the most recent coordinator, cheering both for him and his Umbreon.
Meanwhile, the judges looked over the performance, thinking how to judge it.

"I am very impressed with today's performance so far." Mr.Contesta said. He showed a score of 9.2
"Yes, it was remarkable" Sukizo said afterwards. He had given a 9.3
"It was amazing to see both coordinator and Pokemon so well in sink. They clearly have a great bond together." Nurse Joy finished, she had given him a 9.3

The overall marks were shown on the main screen. It showed that Wolf had gotten a total score of 27.8
"Wow, another great score. I can see there is lots of talent here today!" Marian exclaimed
The crowd boomed with a roar of approval.

"Wow, that's another high score. I can see there's going to be lots of competition today." Galain said quietly. However he still wasn't worried about it. Instead it only fueled his determination to do well and beat the rest.

Salem listened to the crowd roar an applause. she was after a boy with a Wynaut. She had a tough decision. Violet, her shiny Vaporeon; or Skyler, her Skuntank. She thought about how Violet would fare out there. Then she thought about how Skyler would fare. She couldn't decide on witch one. She tapped on the boy's shoulder.
"um, excuse me. do you know if were allowed 2 Pokemon?" Salem asked.
She was a bit shy about asking. Violet sat in Salem's arms purring. Skyler sat next to Salem. Skyler meowed and lifted up her tail like a hat.

(writers block, i think)

"You may only use 1 pokemon in the first round and a different one or the same if you wish in the second round." Marian said as he gestured for the boy to take the stage next.

Back stage Elias watched silently as Ethan finished his performance giving way for the next participant. These things always took a lot time with all the people who needed to do there acts. Most where amateurs and did not make it to the second round but looking at the talent around him he was sure there where enough strong trainers here to make it interesting.

(Sure. You two can post after me. I don't think Tangrow is going to post. But if he is reading this then please post sometime; otherwise we will have to presume that you have left the thread. I'll make my one now.)

Galain suddenly jumped up. It seemed like it was his turn next. He quickly walked towards the stage are past the person with the shiny Umbreon. He knew the irony of using his Pokémon right after a dark type. If anything it should get a better reaction out of the audience if anything.

"And now it's Galain, from Alto Mare!" Galain heard Marian say to the crowd. He was happy to hear a cheer from the crowd when they saw him. Maybe he was becoming a known person in contests?
However, now he had to concentrate on the performance at hand. His excitement built up. It was contests he lived for! Everything seemed to slow down slightly. He could see the crowd look at him, waiting for him to start, however he wasn't ready
As always, a sudden calm came over him. He was in his element. Everywhere around him there was silence. He could not hear the screams and shouts from the crowd. He now knew that he had to begin. He looked at the Poke ball in his hand, expanded it and threw it into the air.
"Togepi, on stage!" He shouted, clearly and loudly so everyone could hear him.

Out of the Poke ball sprang a cluster of stars. They span about in a circle for a moment, and then shot to the ground in the same place. By the time the stars died down, little Togepi stood there. "Togi, Togi" He heard it say. Togepi was clearly as ready as he was.

"Use Double Team and then Sweet Kiss." Galain started off.

Togepi suddenly multiplied, now there was 5 Togepi, all farcing inwards in the form of a star. Then they began the next move each Togepi repeated its name, and then each one blew a large heart shape up into the air at the same time. The large hearts hit each other at the centre of the star and bounced off each other, slowly moving about in the air.

"Now use your Shock wave!" Galain said. Togepi was one of those Pokémon that became powerful with TM's and Galain was sure to have trained it especially with this move, making sure it was perfect.

The 5 Togepi's came back together, right in the center of the star. For a moment it looked like nothing would happen, then people could see tiny sparks of electricity move around Togepi, going over the spikes of its head, and lighting up the shapes on its egg. Suddenly Togepi released the electricity.
It shot upwards, fanning out and hitting the hearts still in the air. As each one was hit it burst into many others, until the sky above the stage was filled with sparks and little hearts, and in the center of it was Togepi. However as it was releasing all of it, it took no damage and stood there fine.

However Galain was far from finished. Now it was the finale. He waited until all of the hearts and sparks were gone, and then continued.
"Togepi, Use your Safeguard" He continued, still calm and clear

Togepi suddenly started to glow. At first faintly, but then the blue glow totally surrounded it, and then expanded again, this time forming a circle around Togepi. Now it was time for the dramatic finish

"Finish up with your Water Pulse" Galain said, dramatically rising a hand up in the air, as if conducting, which he was doing really.

Something was happening inside the blue globe. Different shades of blue moved over the cover of the globe, until it shattered with surprising force, bits of the safeguard were sent around the area, and a small wave of water exploded outwards, then moved upwards until it formed a sort of funnel around Togepi, stretching upwards into the air. Then it was done. The water fell to the ground around Togepi with a little splash

Togepi jumped up and down with excitement. Now it was finished its emotions exploded in excitement. Galain picked Togepi off the ground and waved at the crowd. It was now clearly over. However even as he waved at the crowd he kept one eye on the judges and waited for his score.

"Kikumaru to the stage!." Someone called from the hallway signaling me it was my turn. I got up and walked to the curtain and awaited mt cue. " Next up we have Lily Kikumaru from here in CherryGrove!" Marian called from the stage pointing at the curtain. 'Here goes nothing' I thought running up on stage.

I spun around one tossing the pokeball with my right hand like a frisbee sending it spiriling up. "Ledain steal the stage!" I called out to my pokemon who appeared in in a bright white light. *That rhymes.*
'Dian!' The orange ladybug pokemon called out. Yep that's right shiny Ledian. "Ledian use swift then follow it up with comet punch.!"

Suddenly Ledians eyes glowed a silverish color and lets loose an series of stars. Then he watched them spin as he charged up energy in his fist. 'Be Be!' He struck everylast star makeing the statter in a glimmering light.

"That's it. Now use silver wind!" I called out to him. 'Be, be, be!' He yet again called spinning in a circle kicking up a gust of shimmerring wind around me. "Finish this use flash!" I called above the wind and the crowd looking at the judges stern faces. 'Dian!' Ledian let loose a flash of light blinding evrybody for a monent. In that time he landed himself on my head. I watched the judges as they wrote down a score and flashed it on the screen.................
