Big Root and Leech Seed

Pretty straight-forward question here, but I'm curious to know the answer. Does Big Root have any effect on Leech Seed, or does it only work for direct-HP absorbing attacks like Mega/Giga Drain?

While you're at it, just how much does Big Root boost the HP absorption anyways? Just the usual x1.1?

Big Root works on Leech Seed and (I think) Ingrain and Aqua Ring, as well as Leech Life, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Absorb and Drain Punch. It doesn't boost the power of those attacks, but increases how much HP the user recovers.

Good to know, but for the amount that it increases is it actually worthwhile when you could give Leftovers to your Leech Seeding Pokemon instead? Note that Leech Seed would be the only HP-draining move on the Pokemon.

Big Root affcets only ones that steal HP. So Aqua Ring won't get boosted. And to be back on topic, No, Leftovers are better. You take their HP and Recover your own. So Leftovers holds and edge. When it comes down to it, it's really personal choice.
