Well, the usual 'fite gem, get bage' scenario is usually a good enough motivation to start a journey, if the characters are compelling enough - and plotlines can attend to themselves.

If it's a closed thread, maybe you can brainstorm with the people you're RPing with (that is another reason discussion threads exist!) until you come up with something. If it isn't... hm. I dunno. you could always figure out some local grade mysteries to solve that aren't world ending.

Some plotlines I've run into included organized treasure hunts through a region, looking into mysteries of the ancient world (and Kalos is a fairly historical region after all), or really just numerous plotlines of numerous characters that end up converging on a typical gym journey framework.

So I’d thought I’d tell you. We’ve decided on having a group of crackpot journalists who want to ultimately take control of the region through blackmail and hidden strings. They aren’t the brightest of bunches though, and won’t really completely able to do it.
