I learned by doing. The forum package we built on to make 'Charms has a lot of the tools built-in, and the rest is just experience :)

What forum package did you use. I've been working with C++ and have been looking for some real life applications. Just, most admins are quite rude when people ask about their work.

Also, do you admin on Pokefarm? On a page, there is a 'virtual duck admin character'

This site is built on XenForo, which uses the PHP language. I’m not the biggest fan of PHP, but it’s the best tool for the job in this situation. :)

I have nothing to do with Pokefarm, not even an account there - Porygon is the “virtual duck” Pokémon, it’s not my description. :)

Alright. How hard is it as an admin? Lots of raw coding, or more of a building block thing?

XenForo? If you’re running a simple forum, very easy. If you’re building bespoke functionality like the Trainer Card Maker, it’s all raw PHP within an MVC framework. Depends what you want to do with it.

If it is, it’s stolen. It’s a work made for me alone. Can you link me to the place it’s used?
