...Only I have one revive (Specifically a Max Revive) and a few Max Potions and Full Restore(s?). Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, totally have a higher-than-50-percent chance at beating him.

Yeah leaders are different between the versions, only other difference is the Druddigon’s ability

And the gender of the Pokemon.
Anyways, I managed to beat him, using two Max Potions, a Full Restore and the Max Revive, but Pokemon are... far too low a level.
I struggled to beat a team of four Pokemon including a level 45 Pokemon with Leftovers with my team of six Pokemon ranging from 40 to 42. Yeah, Cheren was TOTALLY fair~
