No need to get all dramatic - mistakes happen. Just make sure you read the rules and follow them from now on! ^^

So I guess that means I can't post anything?

Obviously, if you couldn't post anything, we wouldn't be having this conversation because you wouldn't be able to post anything. XP You're not banned, or even moderated yet. You have exactly two warning points. Of course, if you break our rules and get more warnings, there may be restrictions on your account, but there is nothing in place yet.

Warnings are meant to warn, to draw the attention of rule-breaking members to what they've done wrong and to point them in the general direction of the rules they've broken so they wouldn't break the rules again in the future.

Warnings are also meant as a way to keep track of repeat offenders and - if they persist in breaking the rules - limit their ability to do so by requiring staff member approval before their posts appear to anyone else or in extreme cases block their ability to post in a particular section of the website - or the entire website - altogether.

Also - with the exception of certain particular cases, warning points also expire with time - and the restrictions that come with certain warning levels do too.

How do warning points work?

If a rule being broken warrants more than just a verbal warning, staff members use the warning system to assign warning points to an account. The number of points and the duration before they expire varies by the offense and is ultimately up to our discretion as staff.

If a user accumulates 5 or more active warning points, their account is moderated - which means that a staff member needs to approve any post they may make before it becomes visible to anyone else. If a user crosses the 10 point line, their account is set read only - which means they are unable to post at all.

How do me, you, and all the Pokecharms staff know how much warning points a user has, or how long they stick before they expire?

Staff has a way to keep track of this integrated into the warning system itself. I'm not sure if it's visible to non-staff users.
