I've calmed down now, but I'm in no hurry to engage with him again. I have no tolerance for people who invent excuses, instead of admitting that they're wrong, and insulting the accuser for rightly calling them out on it.

I dealt with someone like him in an RP before, and instead of making excuses, he apologised and backed down, ie, he did the mature thing, instead of yelling 'I'm SPESHUL!!!!!' over and over. I'm not, by any means insinuating that I'm a perfect player, because I'm not, but at least I have the decency to not treat my fellow players like shit.

...That is a very mature thing to do. I've dealt with people like that before. A ten year old. Should have seen him! He came into my roleplay and screamed "HELLO TO YOUR NEW LEADER!!!!!!!" and he refused to back down.
