Seth Willow entered on one side of the small, metallic duel chamber, moving his short black hair to the side. He activated his shining silver Duel Disk, preparing for a fight. On the other side, entered a Teacher. He couldn't really see him, as his face was mostly shrouded in shadow, but he wore a trench coat and some sort of hat. Seth smirked, gesturing to him from across the chamber. "So, you said you wanted to make sure i didn't have an easy time getting in?" The teacher smirked also. "Somebody needs to bring you down a peg. Being the son of a pro duelist, you may already have the skills and the cards to sweep Duel Academy. But I don't plan on letting you coast your way into this school without trying." His Duel Disk lit up in the shadows on the opposite side of the chamber, an emanating light blue glow. "It's time to DUEL!" They both shouted at the same time, their screens lighting up with statistics.
The Life point counter filled up to 4000. "If you're so sure of yourself, why don't you go first?" The teacher commented. "Okay then. I'll draw 5 cards." Seth looked at his starting hand. Steelswarm Cell, Steelswarm Genome, Steelswarm Sentinel, Infestation Tool, and Infestation Ripples. His smile faded from his face. Not even a single Tribute monster? Most of these cards were useless right now. And he knew this guy wouldn't give him a chance to breathe. Ugh, he hated to waste a card like this, but if he had to make a shield... "I normal summon Steelswarm Sentinel, in Attack position!" The small bug rolled into action, it's glowing laser eye charging up. It only had 1100 Attack points, and even though it's effect could be useful, he was sure it would never be able to use it. But he was Seth Willow, and Seth Willow always has a plan. "Now, I set two cards facedown in my Spell and Trap Zone, and I end my turn." The teacher laughed. "So that's all? I was expecting something amazing." "Oh, you'll see."
The Teacher began his turn, 6 cards in his hand. "You must know Sentinel's effect won't apply yet, so those facedowns must be your plan. I'll eliminate them first." He slammed the Spell card, Mystical Space Typhoon onto his Duel Disk, the spinning tornado heading towards the middle facedown. "Not today!" Seth interrupted. "I'll activate it, but you're forcing my hand. Infestation Tool allows me to send a Steelswarm monster, like my Steelswarm Scout from my deck to the grave, and boost Sentinel by 800 points!" His opponent seemed annoyed. "I guess I can't destroy it now, but I'll just wait till later. I'll normal summon Green Gadget, with 1400 ATK points!" The machine span around, buzzing and whirring. "It allows me to add Red Gadget from my deck to my hand. Now, I set two card's facedown and end my turn."
Seth drew a new card, looking at it. Steelswarm Gatekeeper. Would have been nicer with a Tribute monster, but a big enough shield for now. Out of Genome and Cell, setting Gatekeeper was a far wiser option. That was all he could really do. "I set a monster facedown and end my turn." The Teacher grinned, drawing his next card. "Seems unlike you, to not have any options. I could summon more Gadgets, but I want to show you something... stronger. I normal summon Boot-Up Soldier - Dread Dynamo! He may only have 2000 Defense, but since i control a Gadget, he gains 2000 Attack points! Now, I activate the Spell card, double summon! I normal summon again using it's effect, and it's the Red Gadget i searched last turn! He adds me a Yellow Gadget, but I have a way to get it on the field. I activate the Spell, Foolish Burial!" Seth was familiar with this card, he had it in his own deck. "I'll use it to send a second Yellow Gadget from my deck to the Graveyard. But he won't be there long! I activate the trap, Call Of The Haunted, to revive him!" A tombstone appeared from the ground, spewing purple mist, from which Yellow Gadget emerged. All three Gadgets lined up, with Dread Dynamo standing behind them. But, that final facedown... could it be? He could swear he saw the teacher's eyes flash for a second. "It's time! I activate the Continuous Trap, Stronghold the Moving Fortress! It is special summoned to my monster zone in Defense position. It may have 2000 Defense, but since I control all three Gadgets, it gains 3000 ATK points!" Behind all of his monsters, smashing through the ground, clambered the Giant mech, stomping the ground as all three Gadgets hopped inside it, powering it up. A 2000 and 3000 ATK monster, as well as 3 low Attack ones... The teacher grinned, knowing he was in a position of victory. "Battle Phase!"
