Stardust awoke to a bright green light shining into his eyes. “I’m awake,” he said sleepily before reaching up to his visor and tapping it, letting it know he was awake. Stardust dressed himself in his uniform before walking to school, as was typical for a young agrimite. Stardust was 12, and top of his class, but he had few friends. He spent most of his time studying or reading. Stardust enjoyed reading.
Stardust walked into school that morning and began completing the work-packet set before him. It was quantum engineering. Again. Stardust didn’t enjoy quantum engineering, but that was okay. Stardust would do the work. Stardust always did the work.
Stardust finished his allotted schooling eleven hours later and his visor again flashed green, letting him know he had clearance to return home.
