The long way back: The long way back: Part 1

by AssassinGallade

AssassinGallade So after being gone for a while due to many problems with family, life, and some other stuff, I've decided to just write something again. Something that might relate to many people like me.
Once, there was a young boy, his name was Jorge, but he preferred to be adressed as Jag or Jagged. This boy lived alone with his father, his mother was killed by one of team rockets pokemon. The Father wanted to do everything he could to make his son happy, him being the professor of this region. He decided that when his son was old enough, he would let Jag travel across the region catching more pokemon and learning life leasons along the way, he would also give him a Pokémon, one that he would learn to love and always care for. 5 years pass and the boy is now 13, old enough to have his first pokemon. His father thought long and hard on which pokemon his son could care for and he finally came to the conclusion that a Ralts would be perfect. "So you mean I can keep him?!" Asked Jag excitedly. "Why yes, of course. I mean you're old enough, responsible enough, and you've proven yourself to be trustworthy enough to care for him. So he's yours." "Spoofy!" Said Jag. "Come again?" Said the father in confusion. "His name is Spoofy. Do you like that name" He asked the Ralts who cheerfully replied. His father chuckled as he gave his son a bag filled with supplies he might need on his journey. The father sighed before his son left with his Ralts curled up in his arms, Jag stopped at the door, " I know" he said, not turning back. "I know you don't want to lose the last person you love, but you're doing this for me. Even though it hurts you, you still do it. I'm gonna miss you dad, and I promise you." He turned around with tears dripping from his eyes, " I'll come home stronger than I've ever imagined! For you and for mom." Jag ran to his father to give him one last hug before he left. Afterwards Jag walked out that door feeling confident, strong, and ready to take the long way back.
