After finally leaving Flocessy Ranch, Teri took on Alder's pupils with no problems running off to Aspertia Town for a Gym Badge.
"Teri, halt!" Alder said.
"What do you want?" Teri said annoyed.
"These are Oran Berries." Alder explained.
"Don't act like I went through the entire Pokemon League of Hoenn I should know what Oran berries are." Teri replied.
Teri then stormed off to Aspertia Town, her team was hardly able to keep up.
Before they entered the gym Teri explained to Dave that he was going to be the trump card for the gym along with Ben.
"I understand Teri." Dave said.
"Whatever." Ben replied.
"Uh ... Ms. The Gym Leader's giving a class right now specifically a test for gym trainer-" The Gym attendant said.
"Zip it," Teri said sauntering up to the gym leader Cheren. "You must be the one who owns this place."
"Why I am." Cheren replied humbly.
"Do me a favor and try not to bore me, same for the trainers over here." Teri replied walking away to go sign up for the gym challenge.
After coming back Teri made short work of the trainers.
"Hey Cheren, you might want to get some new trainers, they must've forgotten not to bore me." Teri said.
"I won't bore you as much however." Cheren stated.
Once Cheren sent out his first pokemon Teri realized she was under leveled.
"Uh Ben you're gonna have to come out early!" Teri exclaimed.
"Got it." Ben replied.
"Patrat get it." Cheren said.
"Vena buy some time so I can heal Ben!"
"M-Me?" Vena said pointing to herself.
It was a Patrat vs a Patrat battle and neither could back down.
The opposing Patrat took advantage of Vena's fear and secured a lethal bite.
"A-At least my s-sacrifice won't be i-in v-vain right?" Vena said as she slowly lost consciousness.
This death was an extreme shot to Teri's ego, she was the champion of Hoenn this shouldn't happen. But now was no time for guilt.
"Lilipup go!" Cheren called.
"Missy put some chip damage on it." Teri said.
The Lilipup made quick work of Missy with a lethal bite as well.
"It's up to you Dave." Teri said trying not to cry in front of her pokemon and in front of the Gym Leader.
"Your ceaseless murder is over Cheren." Dave said boldly, something seemed off about him he was on edge for the first time Teri had ever seen him.
The Lilipup ran right for Dave and Dave simply shouted and threw the dog back. ... And Ode to Joy started to play as Dave began to beat the Lilipup into the wall.

-Lilipup sets up on Missy.
-Lilipup kills Missy cause of sacrifice.
-I send out Dave.
-Lilipup Tackles putting Dave at 15.
