Super Rant Odyssey

by DopeLeafeon470

DopeLeafeon470 This is a series where I tell stories in the style of theodd1sout! Enjoy!
November X, 2017.
I was on Thanksgiving Break and my family took us to New York City, the place where dreams come true. I mean, if someone's dream was to make it the coldest day on Earth.
Anyway, later I found the Nintendo store, and found a lot of stuff there.
Not much interesting stuff happened on the first floor, so we went to the second...using the stairs.
Yeah, I don't know why people take the elevator, from what I remember, you only take twelve steps to get to the top. Are they really that lazy?
Anyway, before break, my mom got me Super Mario Odyssey as a surprise for good grades. I had already gotten to the second half of the game, and it just so happened that they had a huge projector on a big screen where the whole second floor could see what you were doing.
I was excited to show of the moves I've learned, so I waited for my turn to try it out. And when it was finally my turn, something was wrong. Something was horribly, horribly wrong.
I played the entire game using the pro controller. But, just my rotten luck, they were detached.
And although that may not seem like a big deal, if you make one wrong move, you could end up throwing your hat on something you don't want to throw it on.
So I picked up the joy-cons and played my overall worst.
We were at the Lost Kingdom, so everything was covered in poison. But the thing that REALLY made me hate that joy-con setup were the two kids next to me.
I heard them whispering how I was a noob and I didn't know how to do anything.
That REALLY ticked me off. So I tried everything, from the hat jump to the midair dive, but that only hurled me into the poison.
I finally got to the top of the mountain again so I could capture what's-his-name, and glide my way back to the Odyssey and switch kingdoms from this embarrassing mess to an impressive platformer.
But by the time I even got close, my mom said I had enough of my turn.
So I could never show everyone how much of a pro I was.
I got an expensive Meta Knight figurine and a Leafeon Plush, but since then I've trained so that once I went again, I would actually show everyone how awesome I was.
But the next time I went there, the only other thing that looked a bit less hard but not too easy was the Cascade Kingdom, and that was the first kingdom!
Yeah, as you might've guessed, I didn't have a fun time there either.
