A bit late on this one, but I still kinda lie how it came out. I tried to make Melmetal look menacing by doing something a bit new with shading.
I do like the idea Pokemon's been going with by having some mythical Pokemon evolve, it's a interesting concept. I read in an interview that the makers of Let's GO designed Metlan and Big Nut here to seem liked they fight in with the other Gen 1 Pokemon with its more straightforward design, and I can definitely see that and admire the concept!
