Random Writings: Space

by Iceblossom

Iceblossom A short poem/story about a girl who lives in space.
Space... It's cold and dark...I'm all alone and I miss my home. Can you help me get back? I live in a capsule that looks down upon the Earth, forever drowning in the sea of darkness. It's quiet... too quiet. Quiet is violent. It eats you alive and swallows you whole. As I float around, my lungs fill and then deflate. My heart used to be inside when I was on earth, but now it's on my sleeve. I miss the Earth, please bring me back home.
