"Just another day." Vee said, checking her mailbox. The young Pokemon lived in an underground house she had make for herself in Carvahna Cliff. Vee dreamed of being part of an exploration team. The girl had held that dream ever since exploration team G-6 saved her from an avalanche. She admired the three powerful Pokemon. She checked her mailbox in lost hope someone would partner with her for a team, and no one in Lagross town had accepted her offer. "Well, back to the desolate beach-walk." she said, descending the cliff to Seepa Shores.
Vee was trotting along as usual across the beach. She liked to collect seashells and other debris that came in. She now saw a weird seashell. One that glowed. "Ooh!" she said, picking up the shell. "Finder's keepers!" she said. Then she saw him. The shell had been obstructing her view of an unconscious Pikachu at the shore's edge. "Whoa!" she said, dashing over. "Hey, hey! Are you okay? Hey! Wake up!" she said, worried. The Pikachu looked hurt.
"Ugh..." the Pikachu said. "Where... am I?" "Hey! Wake up!" a voice said. The Pikachu opened its eyes... and saw the Pokemon. "Whoa!" the boy said, rolling over. "Hold on! I'm not trying to hurt you!" the Eevee said. "Here, eat this." she said, handing him a berry. "Uh... thanks." The Pikachu said, biting in. "Oh that's good. But where am I? Who are you?" The girl laughed a bit. "Well, my name's Vee. This is Seepa Shores, and over there is Carvahna cliff. The cliff connects the beach to Lagross town, the central hub for this area." The Pikachu looked around at his surroundings. "Anyways, what's your name?" Vee asked. "My... name?" The Pikachu asked to himself. "Let's see... oh! I remember! My name is Pika!" The Eevee smiled. "Well then, Pika, why don't we head to my house? It's not far!" "Okay." The Pikachu said, as they continued walking.
"So, boss, that Eevee's coming by here soon." The Sneasel said. "Good." the boss said, in a creepy voice. "I assume you're all ready?" "YES, SIR!" the two grunts said. The Sneasel and Zangoose were ready to fight.
Vee and Pika were just about at the rock stairs when... three Pokemon jumped out at them. A Sneasel, a Zangoose and a Weavile. "Well, well, well. Look at what we got here." the Weavile said. "You know the drill. Hand over the shell." "I will not!" Vee said. "I will not give in to a bunch of coward crooks!" "COWARDS?!" Zangoose said. "Lemme at her!" Vee shrunk in fear. Instinctively, Pika stepped forward to defend her. "You leave her alone!" Pika said. "Well, well, well. Looks like we got ourselves a hero. Sneasel! Zangoose! Deal with these children." Weavile said. "I'll meet you at the cape." With that, Weavile dashed off. "Oh, this is gonna be fun!" Zangoose said, leaping forward.
"Time to CUT you down to size!" Zangoose said, using Cut. Pika dodged the attack. "That's nothing!" Sneasel said. "Fury swipes!" Pika, using his supreme speed, dodged them all. His old spirit began to return. "Is that all you got?" he taunted. "H-how?" Sneasel said, shocked. Meanwhile, Zangoose was back on the offensive. "YOU BET IT'S NOT!" he said, unleashing his Tackle attack. Pika anticipated it, and countered with an Iron Tail to the head. "Whoa..." he said. Zangoose went spiralling into a wall. "Oh, no need to thank me for teaching you Rollout!" Pika taunted. This just made Zangoose angrier. However, Pika barely dodged Sneasel's Shadow Ball. He countered with his own projectile; Electro Ball. "Gyayayayaya!" Sneasel said, taking heavy damage. A skull bash from Pika and the dark-type was out. Pika then turned to Zangoose, who had just gotten out of the wall. "I AM GONNA CUT YOU INTO A MILLION PIECES!" Zangoose said, dashing forwards. He charged an X-scizor attack, but Pika wasn't going to let him use it. "THUNDERSHOCK!" He shouted, using the attack to drain the last of Zangoose's health. The normal-type hit the ground, unconscious. "I... I won!" Pika said, exited.
"Whoa..." Pika said, still surprised that he won. "That was... amazing." "More like YOU were amazing!" Vee said, exited. "Thanks so much. Those bullies have been attacking me for weeks! Hopefully, they'll stop now." Pika smiled. "It was the least I could do for how kind you've been to me." Pika and Vee laughed a bit, happy. "Come on, let's go to my place." the girl said. "It's actually very comfortable."
"Here we are!" Vee said, opening the door. Pika looked around. Seashells were patched onto all the walls, and there were leaves all over the floor. The ceiling was supported by wood and rope, and there was a small hole filled with trash. "Whoa..." Pika said, admiring the room. "Did you do this all by yourself?" "Yep!" the girl said proudly. "Despite not knowing the move, I'm a pretty good digger!" Pika then spotted the two beds made of feathers, sticks and fluff. "I've always had a spare bed in case anyone ever comes over." Vee said. "Since you don't really have a house yet, you can stay here." "Thanks so much." Pika said. "I'm really tired." The girl looked out the huge window where the 'teeth' of Carvahna Cove were. "You should be. It's almost nighttime." she said. "Let's sleep." The two set down in their nice, soft beds for the night.
"Hey, Pika?"
"Yeah, Vee?"
"Would you like to start an exploration team with me? It's always been my dream, but no one has wanted to partner up with me..."
"What's an exploration team?"
"Well, exploration teams go out to places to help people."
"That sounds fun! Sure, I'll join you."
"Really? Thank you!"
"It's really nothing much. If i would start a team with anyone, it would be you."
