Ponyta in Antique War Gear

by Takinas

SCAN0071.JPG
Takinas This was not done because I like war, but because of the ornateness of the gear horses wore in the Middle East and Asia in the past. The entirety of this 'outfit' was done to show the artistry that went into making the saddles and harnesses.
I think though that this is my best Ponyta to this day. This was done on cardstock (my preferred paper) using Prismacolor markers.

Process: Sketch with mechanical pencil, refine, ink with fine line markers, erase pencil, brush scraps off paper, color.

@The Voltagonist I'm glad you approve of the bright pink. It seemed like it'd go good with the olive green of the main attire.

I'm really digging the florescent pink straps on it. It's very elegant attire. :)
