Backstory: Daniel was born with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a connective tissue condition which causes him to have loose, unstable joints which dislocate easily, as well as stretchy, yet easily breakable skin. He needs to use a wheelchair because of this condition, and take pain medication daily. He initially wanted to be a pokemon trainer, but when his uncle took him to see a contest, he decided that he wanted to be a coordinator instead. He is often called 'inspirational' by the judges at his contests, which he hates, because he knows that they only call him that because of his disability.
Pokémon:
Serperior (Male): Daniel chose him as his starter when he was ten years old, and he is the oldest pokemon that he owns. Serperior is proud and somewhat flighty, and loves to be the centre of attention.
Honchkrow (Shiny male): While out hunting for a murkrow, Daniel by chance, encountered a shiny one. He set out to catch him immediately, but soon after he was caught, Daniel contemplated releasing him, because he didn't seem to gel with his snivy, and he felt bad about having attacked him to catch him. But in the end, Honchkrow decided to stay with Daniel, and was welcomed to the team by Snivy. Honchkrow is greedy with food and quite lazy, often perching on Daniel's wheelchair instead of flying.
Mightyena (Female): Daniel found an injured poochyena near Littleroot Town in Hoenn, who had been sentenced to death due to being wrongly accused of killing the alpha male of her pack's cubs. On the brink of death, Daniel took her to a pokemon centre, where she recovered from her injuries, and when she was healthy enough to be released, she decided that she wanted to stay with him. She is now immensely protective of her master, and will follow his orders without question.
Plusle (Female): Daniel found an abandoned pokemon egg, and decided to look after it himself. Plusle soon hatched from it, and he added her to his team. Since she is only a baby, he rarely uses her in battle, and she is very sweet and cuddly.
Lopunny (Female): was given to Daniel by his mother, as recommended by his doctor. She is a service pokemon, trained to push Daniel's wheelchair, and re-locate his joints when they dislocate (Which can happen a lot). She is extremely overprotective of her master, and tends to act more like a nurse than she does a service pokemon.
Machoke (Male): Daniel traded away his flabebe, who he was not getting along with due to the latter wanting to battle instead of perform, and received a machop in return. Machoke tends to play the strong man and loves to perform in the appeal rounds of contests. He also has a crush on Lopunny, and will try to get her attention whenever he can.
